Are you as obsessed with the 90s aesthetic, as I am 90 supermodel hair, is everything it is literally flattering on everyone? Let'S learn how to do some long layers and face framing on ourselves today. What you want to do is start by cutting a guide at the back, taking a pie section, lift it up and angle your fingers so that the top hair stays long after establishing your guide. Take half of it combine it with the neighboring section and cut cut once you finish, the back move on to the front, make sure to over direct the front sections back so that you don't end up with any holes on the sides where the hair tends to Be thinner now face framing is easy start with a triangular section at the front, cut your guide and then working one side at a time cross the hair over the face, keep your fingers parallel to the part and cut. This is what it looks like blown out with volume. If you want a more detailed tutorial check out my YouTube channel, because you'll find it there.

Dorothy Flaak: Hi, I have an unrelated question. What shampoo would you recommend for gray hair so it doesn’t look brassy? I currently use Wen products and the Bella Spirit (purple shampoo) but I find the hair underneath has a slight purple tone and the top layers a mix of gray and slightly brassy. Thank you so much. Best, Dottie

Mika M: Re the front sectioning behind the ear, which is straight down. As you make the triangle up front, do you keep with that triangle angle all the way down? Or, when nearly out of hair nearer the ears, are you eventually over directing with your fingers parallel to original section part which is vertical? Make sense?
