See you guys in the next video!

Xo, KJM

Hi guys it is karen and welcome back to my channel so, as you guys can tell from the thumbnail today's video is going to be on how i use the dyson air wrap on my thick and curly hair. The dyson is all the craze right now and it is pretty pricey, but i think it's worth it because you can get a beautiful blowout all by yourself at home, but before we get into the video, please hit that subscribe button and hit that little bell notification. So you get notified every time. I upload a new video and if you guys want to see how i got my hair like this from this curly and crazy thing right here, then let's go ahead and get into it all right. You guys. This is my natural hair. This is probably anything else first time seeing it. Actually, it is very thick curly and coarse, and that is why i was super excited to try out the dyson because of the fact that i want to see if it can tame my kind of hair. I have used it before. It worked pretty well kind of experimented with it so now today, i'm going to show you guys how exactly i get my hair to be nice and voluminous, like i kind of just got to blow out at home. So, let's start off with the products that i use in my hair, my hair is actually air dried for about an hour now. So the first thing that i always use is a leave-in conditioner. I always love um using the bioterra one. I just ran out of that, so i started using this whey. Leave-In conditioner i'll link it down below, for you guys it's actually pretty good. The only thing is is that it's very fragrant, i'm not a huge fan of very intense fragrances, but it made my hair really soft, so that's a plus with this one. I also use this cara therapy daily, smoothing cream, it's keratin infused. So it's great to just get rid of any frizz and just keep the hair, nice and smooth, and it also has heat protectant as well and then once i've done that i'm gon na go in with my tresemme heat protectant. This is like my holy grail heat protectant. It is super super good, so i'm going to go ahead and spray this all over my hair. Now i'm just going to brush out my hair with my wet brush and then we're going to go ahead and get started. So i'm actually going to go ahead and start with the firm smoothing paddle brush. I already attached it. It'S really easy to attach and take off. That'S one thing, that's great about it and it also has different heat settings. It has a cool shot and has different air settings, so you can kind of adjust and play with it as you want. So i like to go in with this first and just smooth out my hair and give it a nice like smooth, blowout i'll, show you guys the first few seconds and then after that i'll kind of speed through it. Because i pretty much do the same thing. All over my head - and this takes me about like 25 to 30 minutes, so i definitely do not want to bore you guys, so i'm gon na go ahead and start with this. I'M sectioning my hair just to make sure i get everything nice and smooth, as you guys can see. This is how my hair looks. I'M gon na actually go back in with some heat protectant, i'm just gon na go lightly in and just kind of use. The protectant, so that's pretty much what i'm going to do to my whole head, i'm going to section it out and just finish everything all right. So this is how my hair looks kind of rough drying. Everything with that paddle brush. I am actually going to go back in with the brush and just kind of go over everything, just to make sure that it is as smooth as can be. So now i'm actually going to go ahead and take the round brush attachment and i'm going to do my bang area, so that is kind of my trick for getting your bangs to be really voluminous is to like you guys saw go forward with it as many Times as you can and then kind of bring it back roll it and bring it back up to your head and let it sit for five to ten seconds and then bring it back down and that's what's going to give it that volume and that flip at The end so just a little tip there um. I will say that, like i personally, because my hair is so curly, i would not just leave my hair like this. I don't think this firming brush does the job for like just a regular blowout. I definitely need to go in with something else, but for the most part i mean i got my hair semi like you know, smooth and straight, but again this is like not what i would use like. Just as is i have to use something else with it. So we're going to go ahead and go in with the air wrap attachments. Okay, so i'm actually going to go in with the two bigger barrels. I actually haven't tried the smaller barrels and i don't want to like take a chance here on video, so i did use these before and, like my hair turned out great i'm going to go ahead and show you guys with these two. Whichever way the arrow is pointing, you want to put your hair to where, like it's going away from your face. So this is my left side and i'm doing the arrow that is going like away from my face and if you guys can see that yeah. So i'm gon na go ahead and use this one on this side, so it goes away and then, of course, i'm gon na use this other one to see how this is going this way. So i'm going to use this one on this side, so just an fyi on that. So what i do is, i hope i can show you guys properly. So i'm going to put my hair like this, i'm going to turn on the air wrap and i'm just going to let the air wrap and just kind of let it go on. Let it hold for a little bit. You can kind of turn it if you need to to get it at the root i'm going to use the pool shot setting. So i'm going to push the cool shot up. Let the cool shot sit for about five ish seconds and then turn it off and spiral it down, and you have a beautiful curl. It is so amazing it takes like no time at all. Again, you want to hold the hair to where the ends aren't enough. So it can grab on to it kind of let it naturally pull back on until all the hair is splashed on, and then you just kind of want to roll it up. This makes you so happy, i'm going to use the cool shot and the second okay. I'M going to go ahead and use the cool shot, let it sit back on the heat for a little bit and then i just like to let it spiral out just like that, and i'm not putting my fingers through it, i'm letting it sit there. In fact, i'm actually going to take it and let the heat sit in my hand for a little bit, so the curl holds longer just kind of let it be there. Now we're going to go into the other side, i'm actually going to change the attachment and do that. So this is how the bottom layer looks, i'm not putting my fingers through it, i'm pretty much, not doing anything to it. This is my second layer all done all right for the top layer. I'M pretty much gon na be doing the same exact thing. I'M just gon na be taking small sections and air wrapping it, but when i do it, i'm actually going to like kind of put it upwards. So there's more volume, lift it and pull it upwards and angle it and that's going to kind of smooth it out. As well, take it off and hold the heat in, and i'm going to kind of slide it off and hold it down now with my bangs, because i don't want it too curly and i kind of just want, like a nice swoop, all i'm just going to Pretty much do the end and i'm just going to angle it upwards again, but i'm not going to go all the way, i'm going to leave a little bit up and i kind of go back and forth with it just roll it up roll it down roll It up down and then i'm not going to keep it for too long, just kind of let it all like that. I'M just gon na shape it like that. I'M gon na go ahead and finish this side, and i will be right back so real quick. Do you see how, when i angle it up there is this kind of bend right here? That'S for the volume! That'S why i like to do that because it gives extra volume so tip right there. Okay, so we have the front pieces nice and done i'm going to go ahead and take out that back clip i'm actually going to take a little bit of hairspray and just lightly spray on here, so the front kind of play with it. I am not going to put my fingers through my hair okay, so basically, what i'm trying to do is just kind of open it up just a little bit from like the top and like the bottom area. Just so, it's not like super tight, and it looks nice and voluminous like this. So i'll show you guys at this side, so i'm just kind of bringing up the hair, but i'm not going through the curls, i'm just kind of opening it up a little bit. Gosh, it's raining so hard right now. I hope you guys can't hear that in the back, but anyways, i'm not gon na put my fingers through my hair, i'm actually gon na take some of my june hair oil. This oil is amazing. I'M just gon na lightly. Put some oil all over my ends, so i do think that my tops of my hair are a little bit um flat. I'M actually going to go in with this attachment. So i'm going to go in with the attachment and i'm just going to like kind of bring that all right you guys this is the final product of the dyson air up on curly hair. You guys saw my hair's frizzy, coarse and thick, and the dyson era did a pretty good job and i know i had to use multiple of the attachments and do multiple steps. But for me - and i'm sure, a lot of you other curly haired girls. It is so worth it because my hair will last me anywhere from like four to six days, depending on what i'm doing dry shampoo, all of that good stuff. So if you guys have any questions about how i did my hair, what products i use, if you guys want to see any other hair tutorials, please let me know down in the comments below and while you're there give this video a thumbs up and hit that Subscribe button, while you guys are at it so um. Thank you guys again so much for watching, and i will see you all in my next video bye

Molly A: Finally someone with similar hair as me!! Now I can get a better idea of what my hair will look like once my shortest layers from my curly cut are grown out.

cwnek13: This is so helpful…. my husband surprised me with an air wrap this week, and after experimenting on myself and my daughters I was ready to return it. I have thick coarse, curly hair, my daughter has curtain bangs, and my oldest daughters has very long wavy hair. For $600 I was expecting perfection right out of the box, but after doing some research I found that there is a serious learning curve. This video was the most helpful so far. Thank you!

Romy sews: Amazing! Your natural hair looks a lot like mine so this is really useful. Most people I see making these videos have barely any hair so it’s done in 10 minutes. I’d love an air wrap but wasn’t sure it was worth the money but I hate blow drying my hair so think this would be a good alternative

Andrea Agathocleous: I've had the dyson for so long and this is the best my hair has turned out!!! They held in a nice loose wave for the entire day. Can't thank you enough for this tutorial

K M: Thankyou!!! You have hair so very similar to mine. (Curly, long and can look frizzy or crazy when it air drys). I have to apply a styling tool for it to look nice. I loved the way your hair looked!! 2 questions.... 1. Why did you apply the brush first? Would the air wrap have worked as well, looked as smooth, and shiny if you would have just held it longer? Instead of using the brush first? 2. I like very low maintenance hair styles. I used to put moose in my hair after a shower and then let it air dry. My hair would do great and my curls would look awesome. However my moose has been discontinued....can you recommend a leave in gel/moose styling product that you put it while wet and then air dry?? Thankyou.

Taylor Hansen: How long does it take you to straighten it with the brush and how long to curl? I typically use a few products to quickly just scrunch my curls because it can take hours to straighten then curl my thick hair! I'd love to style my hair differently but don't have time to spend hours doing it.

harpist angelina: Omg what a beautiful result! Your hair looks stunning

Norma Chapa: Wow! Your hair came out perfect!!! I have similar hair to yours. I would just go in with the curling barrels and then touch up the roots with a flat iron. I have no idea as to why I never used the smithing brush before curling. Now I know!! Thank you!

Sara Khan: Love the transformation looks like an awesome product. Also love your tips for makeup and fashion one of my favs. Thanks for sharing your finds

Bailey L: How long does this process take you? Just curious since it seems like a lengthy process!

DeeDreamer: Hi, your hair looks amazing. I’m contemplating buying the Airwrap and would love to hear your thoughts. How long did your curls last? I know the experience varies from person to person. I booked a consultation with Dyson and they styled my hair this afternoon. However, my curls dropped within the hour by the time I reached home. My hair was almost back to normal (straight) within a couple of hours.

NoAgenda: Yes we need more tutorials for Indian hair! So thanks for doing this. I feel the hair gets very hot with dyson, what heat setting do you use? And lovely hair btw.

indu thiyagarajan: Yayyyy! Excited for the giveaway. Thank you for being honest with showing your curly hair. Love you. Let's of love

Karla Henry: Absolutely gorgeous!!

Sophie Trickett: @Kiran J Meghani Hi just watched this video and it helps so much! My hair is pretty much the exact same as yours and so will defuse be using your tips. I just have one question: When it rains does your hair go back to curly and frizzy or does it stay blow-dried/straight?

Christy Pylman: Thank you! Love to know your products. How long is the process? I just bought the Airwrap, my first try was not a success. I have think, curly, long hair. Your video is very helpful! Hoping it works for me.

T K: Thank you thank you thank you Best air wrap tutorial I have watched until now and I really watched a lot haha ❤

JadoreLV: Thank you for uploading this video as I found it very helpful. My hair is similar to yours and I contemplated if the Dyson Airwrap is even worth it for my hair. You've made up my mind that it is :) May I offer a suggestion? Please adjust your music volume because I found it very loud whenever you would switch over from speaking, to playing the music.

Nikki2370: Finally someone with thick hair and some curls! I have short curly hair now but I so need this video Edit: But you have gorgeous natural hair

LoveKeebuu: Looooved this. Your hair looked amazing!!

V. Gil: great video - very helpful. thank you!

Sarah Heath: Last to the party....you would LOVE kerastase discipline line. You’d want the leave in spray and then the oil (orange bottle). The whole line would change your life. I’m a hairdresser and have the same hair as you

Monika Matta: looks awesome!

Crazyredheadbeyotch81: Kiran, how long does this look take you to complete? Gorge as always!

An Ba: Amazing and super helpful video! I would love to see a comparison video of the Airwrap vs T3 AireBrush Duo. Thanks!

Virmarie: How long does it last on your hair ?

Candice Rosado: Love your hair!! Did your curls last long after styling? I have the dyson air wrap as well but my curls fell out so quick :(

Marta Ruggio: Hello! Amazing hair! How long doyour curls last when you use the dyson airwarp? I have similar hair and i am reading a lot of comments saying that they dont last very long?

kanwardeep kaur: The hairdresser at a salon I visited told me that Dysin curls don't stay on my hair becauase 1) It's too long 2) It's not cut into layers Apparently, Dyson Curls don't stay on Asian hair

Ashley Ashley: I love my Dyson Air Wrap… it’s the best beauty purchase I have ever made!! I never use curling irons or straighteners as they damage your hair so much. I usually dry the hair with any of the brushes then use the curling barrels… put my hair in pin curls over night and the curls last all day without any hair products in the hair as I hate hair products in my hair. If it’s humid outside the curls may fall but that only happens on very humid days.

Heather Kellman: How do you keep it from getting frizzy if you go out in the humidity?

Ushma Lakhani: I love that this is a tutorial on Indian hair! I would love a Dyson ..one day!

Toby Rife: Do you spray your ends with water to get the curl? I feel like I need to dry mine all the way with the other brushes so it’s not frizzy poofy.

Kareena Anand: This is a good video.. similar to my hair type. One quick question: did you damp your hair again post using the smoothing brush? Before using the bigger curling barrels? Or u used the curling barrels on completely dry straightened hair?

Kate Berry: Hair is so like mine, was your hair completely dry using the brush? Do you find it drops a lot? It looks beautiful xxx

XXbiz: I like this a lot! But its pretty much the same result i can get with just curling with a thin hair straightener!

Binini85: How long does your hair stays curled like this? I am really doubtful about the purchase of this airwrap because I have thick and long Indian hair.

pgtips: Hi is your hair fully dry when you use the curling attachments? I thought that the hair was supposed to be damp before you use them. Do you mind clarifying? I just bought the dyson and I am having a hard time with it.

nisha meghani: Omg! I was waiting for somebody to post curly hair video!! Love it❤️

Zee Universe: Literally just ordered mine latter watching your tutorial

Eren Moreno: Your hair came out smooth looking I’m waiting for mine in the mail

Nadia Khan: Amazing Video!! Your hair looks beautiful I might have to splurge on dyson now.

LelahO: It takes me 10 min to brush out my hair when it’s wet, how long do you think this would take me?

missdesigningamy: Do you use conditioner in the shower after shampooing and leave-in conditioner when styling?

Aiswarya Sreenivasan: You hair looks amazing. Would love to know which hair oil you used towards the end.

R Dens4d: Kiran, that’s my 28 year old daughter’s name. You’re the first other Kiran I’ve “met”. Great video. You’re a wizard with the Airwrap

Amal: I love love your hair before it’s gorgeous ❤️

Michelle Henshaw: Good video but you actually used the soft firming brush, the firm smoothing brush is the one without the pink ends. The firm smoothing brush should work even better on your hair type

Susan Blanchflower: What was the last product you used on your hair? I believe it was an oil. Also what hair spray do you use if any? Thanks so much for your video I have super thick and coarse hair also and it was nice to hear the Dyson worked on hair similar to mine.

All Things Charu: Beautiful

Melissa Fife: Incredible!!!

Elizabeth DeBack: Do you get your hair 100% dry with the smoothing brush before using the curling attachment? Gorgeous hair!! I just purchased the air wrap and am still leaning how to get the best results

Lisa Kavanagh: Hi I’ve the same hair type as you but I can’t get my hair to stay straight without kinking or going abit frizzy if I straight it with the airwrap Could you please do a video on how to make lasting straight x

DivaDee1281: how long does it last that way? I have thick frizzy ( BAD frizzy) wavy hair. I’ve had the air wrap for about a month and still can’t get it to work right. I’m going to try your method. Fingers crossed!!

Karla Castillo: wow, you're hair is gorgeous. i just bought it. we have the same texture of hair.

Charmaine Admana: how long this hair lasts?

Marsha Paitsel: Did you re-wet any of your hair before using the barrels or was it completely dry?

Jade S: Do you blow dry first using the hair dryer attachment and then then firming brush and then curl please??

Stephanije Op de Velt: I‘m wondering why you used this specific brush attachment to straighten your hair and not the more firmer one. As far as I understand the firmer brush attachment is for more thicker hair type like yours. Did you try it out? How did your hair come out in comparison to the flexible one?

Flower Power: Your hair is absolutely beautiful. I just don’t have that kind of time.

La Duchess: My concern is definitely if this is working on frizzy hair, so thank you for this video. I might need to take a look on the hair products you're mentioning

joselyn Diaz: How many minutes did it take to do this?

Brittany Storey: Best tutorial

nancy garg: Finally a tutorial for me,I hv same hair, same length

Mehryn Kamran: Every time i use air wrap my hair becomes frizzy because of the air, pls guide me to control frizz

Bernice Voorheis: What are products do you use we have really similar hair and mines been very dry when I blow out my hair it feels dry and not soft

Alice Esperanza: Completely unrelated, but your foundation is matched to you skin really well!

T & P Caley: I think the Dyson sounded quite loud. You might want to consider wearing hearing protection while using so you don't experience hearing loss. I have used many loud hair dryers over the years and it has caused some hearing loss. Thank you for showing us what it can do!

Bani Chhabra: How to control the frizz tho from the air ?

Cat: How long does the style last?

Stephanie Puente: Does your hair get stuck in the round brush attachment? That always happens to mine when I use other hot air brush combs.

kiran ladha: What stage did you put the keratese and leave in conditioner? As soon as you came out of shower?

Shaz Rathnasekara: Hey! May i know the colour and the brand of lipstick you are wearing. Looks so nice

M B: I arrived at the conclusion that, among all the Dyson’s gadgets shown, the only one that is worse to spend money on is the last one to curl hair.

meggyspencer: am I the only one who really doesn't like the airwrap? I have very frizzy and thick hair, the air blowing out from the wand sets it flying everywhere and gives it a dull and coarse look that I just hate. I get much better result from my 80 dollars air-dryer but I really wish I could somehow get this to work given how much it costs...

raman dhaliwal: Can you please tell maam which heat setting are you using.. i do style but not able to get look as that of yours

Cotrobai Natalia: What is the oil you using ?

Iris Ulloa: Hi love, what is the hair oil called? Love your hair, much love <3

Martha Estrada-Ewing: 12:28 what brand is that hair oil?

p vok: You are gorgeous! Can’t wait for my birthday to receive this perfect gift from husband

S S: I cant get my hair to come out not frizzy even w the fine smoothing brush pls help

Alicia P: but how does it handle in the heat

Manisha: What setting do you use, high heat, high power?

Vivian Blazan: What was that oil called?

Danielle Wagner: Wow you look great!!!

cyndi bugbee: Fantastic Tutorial..but can you do this on completely dry hair? lOOKS LIKE HER HAIR IS DRY.

jasmine bellon:

Lana Lolita: Giirrrrrllllllll YOUARE B E A U T I F U L omg ❤️

Morningstar1: I have no idea how these girls get their hair like this. I have similar length and consistency but my airwrap curls last no more than 20 min.

Aishwarya Sonali: Please do ur haircare routine

urmila patel: The amazon storefront link not working ✋

shabzalicious:

Samiha Anwar: you are so pretty omg

Melinda Again: Your hair isn’t even that curly. It’s wavy at best.

suganya thanghavel: It doesn't stay even for half a day...y is that so

Nishitha Singi: But your hair isn’t curly lmao

Amna Mutasim: 8:30 What Is these sound
