My name is Lucy, I'm a Dutchwoman here to offer an alternative approach to beauty.

On this channel I do mostly hair tutorials where I show you how to braid, pin and style your own hair. I recreate hairstyles from movies, tv shows or history and I regularly come up with my own, which I love to share with you!

I really enjoy diving into history to find out how women went about their beauty and dressing rituals in days past. Vintage and history-themed videos are my little passion project.

You'll find a bit of lifestyle content here as well, ranging from cozy chats over a cup of tea (my beloved Tea Time videos) to personal vlogs and home & interior videos.

Hey guys welcome to you, video. This is a hair tutorial and today I'm coming at you with no extensions, because I want to show you some hairstyles that are suitable for women with thinner hair. I want to share some tips on how to get the most off a little bit of hair and some things that you want to maybe be more mindful of or avoid, if you're trying to make your hair look a little bit fuller than it maybe is now Before I get into that, I do just want to start by saying that there is absolutely no shame in having thin hair. It is very normal, so many women have been hair is not something that needs to be hidden. It is absolutely alright. If you just leave it as it is, and rock it like that, all natural, so please don't feel like you have to do any of these things. I think of hair styling a lot like makeup. It'S nothing! It'S not something that you need! It'S not something that you have to do every day, it's just something that is there as an option. So with that said, I just want to show you some footage of my hair when it's not curled just so, you can get a little bit of a better idea of what I'm working with here, and you can also compare that to you know what I'm gon Na be doing in a little bit, so my hair is currently a lot thinner than it used to be. When I was a teenager, I went through some pretty big hair walls when I was 18 years old and my hair never fully grew back and in the past few years I have noticed that it's slowly starting to get thinner again, but I do also have a Lot of regrowth I currently have a whole new layer of hair coming in. That is about the length of my collarbone, so my scalp doesn't really show in many places like this. Is the thinnest part of my hair right here near the front which is pretty normal for women as well, but this has always been a part where my hair was a little bit thinner than in the rest of my hair. For me, the finished part definitely is my ends and the front of my hair and there's also why my braids things are so dramatically towards the end. So, yes, that is my hair, looks natural. My hair is pretty straight. If I don't do anything with it, and that actually brings me to the first point - probably my biggest tip is, if you have straight hair and it's been try and give it some texture. I really like to curl my hair just so that it has a little bit more body a little bit more volume, but also because I feel like hair, that is in curls, looks a little bit more natural when it's PC - I guess curls - are supposed to have A little bit of air between them, so the fact that the hair is maybe a little bit thinner isn't as noticeable when it's curled, in my opinion, so I feel like there are several different benefits. You have a hair curled. Now, if you do want to curl your hair in your hair is thin. I would advise you to use a more hair, friendly, curling method, if possible, I have a huge fan of overnight heedless curls because they are very gentle on the hair. You don't you're not applying any heat to strengthen, may already be fragile, depending all the reason why your hair is thing. That might be the case as well, but I do realize that overnight, curls may be trickier first in hair because they often involve braids and that just doesn't work for us. I'Ve tried over night braids ways, and it just looks like very frizzy kinks on my hair. My preferred overnight, curling methods are the ones where I wrap my hair around something, so you get the desired curl shape, so I will either use a sock Donuts some rags, but my favorite method at this moment is to use headband curls, where I will just wrap. My hair around a thick headband I will sprayed with a little bit of water and setting lotion first to make sure my curls last then I wrap my hair around the headband. I sleep on that and in the morning I take it out and I'm left with these curls that give me a little bit of nice volume, especially on the ends of my hair, where I needed most now. My next tip is in line with that, and that is to use hair care that is suitable for your hair in your hair. So I I feel like when hair is thin when, especially if it's also a little bit weaker, it just needs that extra care and it's just a little bit more important to make sure you find a good hair product. So I wanted to take a little bit of time to talk about today's pulsar, which is functional beauty, and I have actually been using their hair products for a few months now I use the shampoo and conditioner and I also have a hair mask. In the same. I was gon na say for the same light, but that's the whole point. Function of beauty doesn't have lines, their products are completely customizable, so they are tailored to your specific hair needs. When you go on their website, there's a little quiz that you fill up or you can tell them your current hair type, your hair problems and the goals that you have for your hair. My hair profile is a straight fine and oily hair and my goals are to hydrate length and replenish hair, soothe scalp and strengthen so I've chosen, a very nourishing and strengthening and just hair friendly profile. So they will then mix a formula completely customized to your hair needs and you can also choose which color and scent you want. I went with seafoam green in the scent perfection, which is a wonderful, lovely fruity, scent really really nice. They also print your name on the bottle, which is a really nice touch. I think function of beauty products don't contain any parabens, sulfates GMOs or toxins, and they are 100 % vegan and cruelty free, which is fantastic. This has been really really gentle to my hair and my hair feels very hydrated and strong, and it looks very nice and shiny and feels really soft as well. This has just been a very good match for me now. If your initial formula doesn't work for you as well as you had hoped that they very kindly offered to reformulate for you once and you can get help with that which is really nice, so you can be sure if you actually have something that is perfect for Your hair function of you are kinda, offering my viewers 20 % off of your first purchase, so you can click the link in the descriptions below so you receive that and they are currently available in the USA, Canada, UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and more okay. So now onto some actual hairstyles - and I have tried to make these so that you can do them even when your hair is thinner than mine, keep that in mind. Try it out see if it works or not. The main thing you want to remember is to keep it light and airy, especially if you've already so texture into your hair. This is a little bit easier, trying not to compact the hair, so I would avoid things like braids and tie ponytails, because, especially if you're going to wear a part of your hair down, you need as much hair as possible to do that. But I would also suggest to try and bring the hair together so that all of it is concentrated in one place, so you want to kind of get it together, but not make it too tight. If that makes sense, and that is kind of how to go about hairstyles for things you very thin hair, in my opinion, so one of my personal favorite hairstyles, especially because my hair in the front here, is a little bit thinner. I really like to pull that hair back just lightly and pin it with a bobby pin. So I'm just slide that in this is the great thing about having thin hair. You only want bobby pin now when you are pulling the hair back. You want to keep it light and airy, so you want to avoid doing things like this pulling the hair back very tightly. I mean you can tell the difference right on this side. It looks a lot more voluminous, whereas here you can even see my scalp in some bits and it just looks much more like thin hair than it does on this side, so keep it light and airy pull the hair back with more of a swoop, especially if Your scalp does show getting it. A little bit of a angle will sometimes help to disguise that a little bit more, I do actually need to bobby things alright. So now you can see, since my hair is pulled away from my face, and it is all in the back. It just makes the hair in the back. Look fuller by that one section which every little bit helps and since I do have some PC thing, bangs in the front I feel like it just looks like my hair is a little bit more voluminous. So this is a personal favorite of mine. This is kind of my go-to everyday hairstyle. If I want to do something with my hair now, the next one is one that I feel is perfect for very thin hair, and that is to kind of pull your hair to the side again. Keep it nice and airy: try not to do a party. We just got swoop your hair over, get it over to one side, pull it over your shoulder and use a few bobby pins to pin your hair in the back here. If you want, you could give it a little twist if that's necessary, take some bobby pins in right here. All your hair is pushed to that one side, and here you can see it's the same chick again. All the hair is in one place, so you get the full volume of it all in one location, but it's not pulled into a ponytail, so it does still have some room to show off that volume that we created with the curls. So this is what it looks like from the back and again, if you're careful with the way you swept and you keep everything nice and airy, you can avoid too much scalp showing there, and this is just a really nice way to again wear your hair on An everyday basis now, if you wanted, you could, of course wear and hats on this side of your head. This is a really nice hairstyle that to accommodate that or you could use some different type of hair accessory if your hair can hold the weight of a heavier kind of larger accessory like this, and those are really great to create some visual volume again. Aren'T the illusion of so volume, so you could use this in the back. Maybe here where the hair is pulled back or you could use it on this side to kind of offset fact that there isn't much there or use it in the back, and I, of course won't listen depends on the type of accessory if you're using a headband, A nice and voluminous headband, then, of course, that fits in the front here try and make sure that it's not too heavy. This bow is made of a very light material, but you don't want to put too much of a strain on your hair, so I also wanted to give you an option for wiring your hair up now something that I really like to do with my natural hair That is nice and simple and quick again for an everyday kind of updo, and it's actually using one of these Hair Stylist hair clips, if you have something nicer by all means, use something nice there. So why to you, for that is I pull my hair back gently always make sure to keep the nice and falou. I give my hair a little twist again, I'm keeping everything nice and loose here don't want to squish that hair. Then I will take my clip and will clip it in right here and then with the rest of my hair. Since it's already curled, I will kind of form this little bun. Almost but again, I'm not squishing it down, I'm pretty much, just allowing that curl to full up on itself and create this little swirl, which I then pin down using some bobby pins. So here again, the clip just gives the hairstyle a little bit more body like there's just a little bit more there, so that doesn't look as flat, but it still highlights the hair - and I think, is it's just a very nice and inconspicuous way to wear your Hair up, so, if you do you really like braids, and you would like to wear some, there is a way that you can make your braids look a little bit fuller. Of course, this does depend on how much your hair you have for any of you who are able to do braids so start with a pretty loose braid. Don'T make this two types. The curling of the hair does help with this as well. So leave a little bit of a tail, especially if your ends are a bit thinner. I'M sorry this off with a hair elastic, and this is a trick I nearly always use. You know what I am wearing hair extensions I like to then go back to my braids: go back to each individual little braid loop and kind of suck at the side of it, so that my braids kind of flattens out and just looks a little bit bigger There we go now. Obviously this is a flat braid kind of at first sight. It does look just like a nice and full braid, even though there isn't much hair in there at all, and this is pretty much the only way I wear my brace with my natural hair nowadays. So that's it guys. Those are my tips for thin hair. Ladies out there and again please don't feel like you have to do any of this stuff. Your hair is perfectly fine as it is. This is just for those days when you do want to put in a little bit of extra effort, so I really hope you enjoyed this video and found it helpful guys if you have any tips for fellow thin haired. Esined Ordaz: One of my insecurities is my thin hair. I always see girls in Instagram with beautiful hair and hair styles and I can't do anything like that because of my thin hair. I also noticed that every year my hair gets thinner and thinner and started to get some loss too. So thank you for this vid I'll try this styles. I always feel like I'm the only one with this problem (I know is silly to think that) and I feel ashamed to talk about it with my friends.

Robyn Hillier: Finally a person who actually has fine thin hair doing a video on fine thin hair. Makes me crazy when I click on these videos and they definitely don’t have fine thin hair. Mine is fine that it constantly breaks. Making it even thinner than it really is. Ugh it’s a real struggle and I hate it. I also can’t do overnight curls because my hair gets oily overnight. I try to only wash it every second day but that’s also a struggle

Nitika Wadhwa: There is one more problem with thin hair. My hair stick together after a while. In the morning my ponytail looks voluminous n by the evening its half the volume

claire ward: Tutorials for thinner hair are so hard to find! Thank you!!xx

Jane Hall: Thanks for recognizing those of us who struggle to even make a ponytail. I avoid the curls now but dream of having thick beautiful hair. Among my earliest memories is sitting on the floor while my mom putpin curls in my hair. Nothing ever took and I was always at fault for not keeping the curls in through out the day.

Aastha Khatri: I have gone through a major hair loss this past year. My hair used to be full and although on some days i don't care but there are a lot of days where i wish for it to return back to how it was earlier. A video like this really helps and motivates me to wear different styles when possible and accept my hair the way it is now. I hope you continue to do these. :)♥️

Sarah Andita Karina: Yes this is what I need!!! Even though my hair is far thinner than yours Thank you for the tips ♥️

Pandora Lawliet: As someone with really long (almost 60 cm from the top of my head) and thin hair I can't thank you ENOUGH for this tips. I started to let my hair grow because I felt like longer = more room to make hairstyles with it but I realized I really can't because it's thin and can't work well with it. I love my long hair and your tips definitely are going to make a change. I'm subscribing right away!

Melissa Menchaca: I’m actually watching this with thick curly hair. Curly hair has issues with frizz and traction damage (from hairstyles that are too tight). A LOT of what you say would work great with helping curls look their best.

Yen: Your hair is literally like mine, except for the colour. I had quite thick hair until I was about 11, but over the years it has become thinner and thinner. Medical check-ups really do not show any reason for it, and all my doctor can tell me is that it is from stress or that I am just naturally thinning. Thank you for this video! :)

Adrienne Gonzales: I have thicker hair but I was made aware of thinner hair struggles in hs when a girl I was rooming with at camp was saying her hair didn't hold a curl. I wrapped her damp hair down a folded pipe clear, rolled it up... and she slept on it. In the morning her hair was so curly and it stayed curly all day. I didn't realize how she'd felt disincluded from all of us gals who can hold a curl. Her joy was so memorable.

catherine: I love that you don't worry about wearing something new for every video. So relatable and real and so much better for the environment ❤

Sydney Ray: Thanks for making my thin, fragile hair feel normal. Thank you for the tips !

Adella Polk: When you are first starting off with overnight curls, you will surely have some mishaps... days where they come out frizzy and ratty and just not cute, But I use those days to my advantage! When your is that frizzy, it’s a GREAT day to wear a braid or bun or other updo! Use that frizz!

CPT Snazzypants: Bumble & Bumble’s thickening spray is amazing, not matter how you style your hair. Also, Big Sexy Hair has this powder stuff that you apply to the scalp around the crown for some lift. It’s awesome. I’ve found that creating volume at the top of your head is key, whether with products or just with a flat iron. Just do like a 1/4 turn around the crown so it lifts your hair a little bit, do in a couple layers.

Leslie E.: In middle school I had medium-thick, waist length hair and the girls in my class would always ask about my hair care routine. I was really proud of my hair but then my senior year of high school I had quite a bit of hair loss. I still have waist length hair, but it is definitely medium-thin and I have extremely wispy ends. I got really discouraged and I didn't understand what had caused my hair loss. My best friend went through the same thing around the same time as me and it was comforting to know that I wasn't the only one that was going through hair loss. It's hard to remember that hair extensions are a thing and even though it seems that 90% of women have gorgeous thick hair, the reality may be quite different. So, thank you for this video! It made me feel less alone

The Joyful Eye: Thank you so much for the tips in this video! I am an older woman (mid-60s) and I have grown my hair long for religious reasons. I used to have thick hair, but now it is thin; plus, I have a cowlick on the back of my head which complicates matters even further :) I've been just twisting it into a bun and sticking it onto the top of my head with a "hair fork" (not sure what it is really called, but it is made of metal and has 4 wide prongs) --- it is easy and quick and oddly enough, it seems to be in style! but I've been wanting something different, and your style with the clippie thing on the back might cover up my cowlick if I can make some curls with the headband idea. Can't wait to try it Thank you thank you :)

J Valencia: Thin hair is also prone to breakage. So I always start brushing my hair at the tips and work my way up.

Anonymous Ravenclaw: You're a really honest Youtuber. I love you so much. I was sick and had a drastic hairfall. This video is godsend!!!

Trashpandas: I have fine and thin hair, and then I was blessed with ears that stick out so I feel as though it makes it even more noticeable.

dutchdep2177: Great tips Saving this video to my hair playlist. You’re so talented with hair styling !

LissaBryden: Hello, I just want to thank you so much for this video. My hair was never very thick, but I managed hairstyles for vintage and dress up styles. Then I noticed as I aged, that it was getting thinner. I take fairly decent care of my hair but like the wrinkles, I accepted it as part of my new era. One evening I thought to myself that there are very likely tips on styling for thin hair and I found your video! I cannot stress how much it helped me. You normalize thin hair, and then go with it. You gave me hope. I loved having bangs, but gave up because I have so little hair, then remembered that I use wispy bangs anyway, not even requiring much hair. I promptly trimmed them, and then used one of your suggested styles. I am so happy with my hair now! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gwynn Brewee: I've had fine hair all my life, but the last years it's gotten a lot worse (breakage, falling out). My scalp would get greasy, but the ends were very dry. I've been trying Function of Beauty for a couple of months now and I must say I'm very impressed with the results! My scalp doesn't get as greasy as it used to, but at the same time my ends are a lot more nourished! It really is the miracle I needed =D

NickyJane95: As someone with thin and fine hair, this video was very much appreciated!

Bhumika Bhattacharya: I would like to appreciate the fact that she kept a mirror behind her in the Introductory part to give us an idea that what it looks like from behind to have thin hair. I like how she maintained transparency with her audience. Good job girl ❤

Karim Ogando: Thank you! I have thin and straight hair too that's why I have been wearing my hair short the last 5 years or so... But you are my inspiration to be patient and grow my hair again. I would love a tutorial of the hairband curls trick for when I have my hair long enough!

Kyonnna Pflueger: YES finally a video for all us thin haired girls!!

Melany: I love these hairstyles! I will definitely try them out. However I always feel like my fine straight hair doesn't like Bobby pins that much

paintingthebricksyellow: You helped me find my new default style for my hair today. Thank you, hope your day is amazing!

Milja Hahto: Dear ladies - if you are experiencing hair thinning or getting finer than before, check your iron levels! Not just hemoglobine but ferritine levels too (it is possible to have high hemoglobine despite deficiency, as that is the priority use of iron, but far from the only one). Iron deficiency is the most common deficiency and common even in the riches parts of the world. It is, of course, possible to have fine hair regardless, but a change towards thinner/finer is suspicious.

Bluebell: Thank you for this. I have so much confidence issues when it comes to my thin, fine hair. Your hair is beautiful and ours are very similar thickness so this gives me hope for mine.

MONICA April: Your eyeliner is just rocking.. Please do a tutorial on how to make winged eyeliner like yours I suck at it no matter how many tutorials I watch ‍♀️

Arus Balasanyan: The updo with the hairclip looks amazing, efortless and elegant. I never knew what to do with the sticking ends) all I need is to grow out this damn lob now

Kim Davis: I always thought the light fluffy curled style was so cute, I'm glad it's achievable with thinner hair :)

Ms. Bella Games: Thank you for the tips. I have very long, fine hair and it's such a hassle to get it to do anything other than lay flat. I'm going to give that curl trick a try and see if it helps. I also ordered shampoo and conditioner from Function of Beauty since they have an anti-brassiness formula that has got to smell better than the stuff I'm using!

Trisha Ryan: _Fine_ hair, when talking about the size of the strand, _thin_ hair when talking about the amount!

Janelle M: Watching videos like this is very helpful but it becomes great when a product is mentioned and it is available in Australia!

Courtney: I have naturally thick hair but about 5 years ago I broke off a ton using hot tools without heat protectant spray (ugh). Eventually I decided something needs to change before I have no hair so I quit heat tools and the style I went to most days was a half up half down hairstyle so all of it was grouped in the back of my head, making it look fuller. I use heat tools again but always with spray!

水森茉莉: My hair type is similar to your’s. This tips are really useful !! I’m planning to get bangs ,because I saw your other videos talking about bangs. Thank you so much for putting up great videos !!

Georgia Clifford: i feel like there is so much more content on hair styles for thin hair now. What I would have done for some simple advise like this in high school/middle school. I started cutting my hair into a bob because i didn't know what else to do with it to give it volume.

Stephanie Morey: Thank you for this video. I'm in the middle of a major shed and this reminds me there are things I can still do with my hair.

Crowned Lily: Even though I have thick wavy/curly hair, I'm still watching this because I love watching your videos.

Louisa Coote: I have straight, fine and thin hair! Your hair looks amazingly thick compared to mine!

Anna Hill: I’ve got naturally curly hair and my ponytail is nearly as thick as the circumference of a shot glass but I’m still here watching because I love Lucy lol

tom nook: Great tips :D Sometimes i also use that type of hair clamp to make a fake loose ponytail that looks more voluminous haha XD It also tugs at the hair less so it puts less strain on my roots.

jess myzelf: I used to have so much hair but now due to pcos alot of it has fallen out :( i still have long hair but i will have to cut it soon since the ends are very thin now. Thank you for making this video, you look beautiful and your hair looks great. It gives me hope for my hair :).

Gold Dragonette: My hair is super thin and poker straight, and slippy so styles fall out. Since this disability flare (CFS, fibro and other things), my hair is thinning even more. Using the hair peptides from the Ordinary has helped a bit

Vanny Crane: Great ideas, thank you Dry Shampoo is another great thing for the texture

Jasmine V: Ordering the peach scent for fine curly hair. I'm looking forward ti trying it. Thanks!

Alex M: "You're hair is perfectly FINE as it is" No pun intended

Jennifer Grove: I used to have thick hair when I was a teenager as well, and it seems like for some reason at certain times of the year it tends to get thinner. :\ One of the styles I go to is a low side bun. I try and tug at it to make it more voluminous, almost like your braid and then pin those pieces down.

Lady_Kellogs: The problem with my hair is that I have a lot of baby hair but yet my hair is thick. Any tips on the baby hair? Btw I love this kind of videos I been using your tips for a while

One Very Bored Human: Braided pigtails are one of my go-to hairstyles in the summer, however, if you have thin hair like me they can look too skinny and limp. One thing that helps me is to braid my hair as normal and then tie it off at about a thumbs length from the end. Go back through and gently pull the hair out as she showed in the last hairstyle. The longer ends plus the fluffing up gives the appearance of slightly thicker hair.

Tânia Cardoso: Thanks for this video. My hair is actually very similar to yours but my scalp is showing a lot more on the side. I never used extensions before, maybe I will try that one day. I change shampoos quite often, I think my hair gets used to them or they are simply not good for my type. Sometimes they work well for 2 months but then it gets worse (one time my scalp dried out so much due to a shampoo that I almost lost all of my hair). Nowadays, it has become more full and wavy for some unknown reason (maybe I am eating better, who knows). I will definitely take a look at Function of Beauty. =)

Michelle G. Ortiz: My hair is pretty much like yours. Thank you for the video ❤

Rosy: Well. There is a tip for high ponytail - use 2-3 bobby pins inside it. They give some volume. Works with any hair type.

Perdita Tinsel: When I had a baby my hair went thin and never really grew back thick at all. It's hormonal and very common. I rely on a sock bun myself!

SimplyKay: Yesssss thank you!! I have thin hair and it's so hard to find any hair tutorials on youtube for my type of hair. Not even hair extensions can stay in. When I go get haircuts the hairstylists always tell me that I have bad hair. :c

barbie lee: I just ordered the shampoo and conditioner, thank you for the discount Loepsie

Sophia Terranova: this was great...i've been watching so long i remember your stages of hair growth/loss you mention. I so appreciate your videos and ideas. thank you

Lana Sídhe: Thank you so much for this video, my hair is exceptionally fine and I can seldom ever pull off any of the cute hairstyle tutorials I see here on ye olde YouTube!

piX0une: also let's not forget sock buns (or donut buns) ! it makes it look like you have loads of hair to fill a big bun, when in fact you need just enough to cover the sock/donut. With smaller socks/donuts (i use some big and fluffy hair elastics too) you can even make more than one bun !

Kirst James: You are the sweetest. I love how considerate you are with everything you say.

Meanne77: I'm so happy I stumble on your channel, honestly it's the first time I see a YTer with hair like mine and about the same length (mine are a bit shorter but I think i'll let them grow); I'm now realizing most of the others probably always wear extensions but don't say. This video and the recent one with 10 hair styles showing with and without extensions made me feel really better and accepting about my hair <3

Pirate lassy: I just finished doing my hair. Me and my friend made a bet on who can do her hair to look more like Jack Sparrow I have a red headband and five braids in the hair that's let down For on the side and one on the back (a bit more on the right, actually). And two small braids in front of my ear (because Jack has those two braids there too) and I even added beads on two braids I look a bit like him, and it might sound strange. But we do it just for fun, and we like it. It is still our favorite movie. With Jack being our favorite character, of course)

Stacey Gallagher: I just want you to know that I just ordered the shampoo after watching your video. The 20% off said it was applied, but when everything went through and I received my email confirmation- the 20% was not taken off. I have an email into the company, so I do hope that they will do the right thing and refund me the money I am due.

Amy Slingsby: I have my first Function of Beauty shampoo and conditioner and so far so good. Dry, straight, medium, hydrate, moisturise, colour protect, growth, strength. Orange and something vanilla-y. I keep hearing people online calling shampoo “poo” (eww) so I had Function call mine “Amy’s Poo”. I’ve only had two washes with it so far, but 2 people have complimented the shine and, although the weather went from extremely cold and dry to freakishly warm and humid, my hair didn’t react at all.

じょじょ☆♡: Interesting. I’ve always thought I had thick hair until my fiancé pointed out that I actually have thin hair. He’s Persian and has thick Persian hair. I’m half English half black, and I actually have fine/thin hair, I just have a lot of it and it’s curly. I refused to believe him until he compared our hair strands, and his was undeniably thicker then mine. I feel like there are no videos out there for my hair type

louise lill: Thank you Lucy and I just wanted to say how beautiful you are not just looks but personality too .

Jen Bergeron: It’s so nice to know there are more people with this issue! My debate with myself now is to have bangs or not. My scalp shows with both if I don’t put in effort...maybe hats are the way for me?!?

HouseBee: Hiii, been a vegan for 2 years now and I notice my hair is thinner. It's probably related to age and stress (it's been a hard year), but I was wondering if you could touch on what happened to you? Was it a nutrient thing? Stress? Thank you!!

Mohini Jain: Hey i seriously love the way you presented the video ,i have super thin hair but i m beautiful and still feels blessed . You are gorgeous With love from India

Paula Jean Redditt: Your personality is precious! I really like your hair ideas, too! Thank you! May God bless you always!

Vennela Singam: I'm In love with eyeliner please do a tutorial for that if possible

Shizuko Mirai: Finally someone with the same hair texture and amount as me!!

Marleen G.: I have fine, but dense (really a lot of) hair. I need to section my hair to shampoo it, that thick. My mom OTOH has very thin, also very fine, hair, and she wears it to between shoulder & armpit length and always in a peacock twist. She typically roller sets it after she washes her hair, and that gives it volume for a long while. She uses the same products as me (wavy hair) and that is the curl enhancing smoothie by Shea Moisture & some gel. Just a dollop (tiny coin size blob) is enough but it gives so much hold!

Nicole T. Cunha: These ideas are absolutely lovely, but my hair is thinner than yours. Any tips for disguising thin hair at the top of the head?

LOONBIT: omg what a coincidence i literally just placed my first order from function of beauty yesterday as a birthday gift to myself just to try it out and see if it’s any good!!

Sandra Jones: Please do a makeup tutorial on your favorite foundations.

Paige Pelton: Can you please do a tutorial on daisy ridley’s Ophelia!!!

kanwal bhattiengr: Thanks, it was really very helpful, would u plz suggest from where can I order customised hair products like u ordered? Love from Pakistan

jan Ina: when my hair does not even hold bobby pins bc it is so thin and fine and straight :D

chichisabrina: It's kind of funny, I have really thick and full hair and I always found it so annoying. When I curl it, it becomes a massive lion mane instead of a nice soft and femine hairstyle. When I braid it, the braid is extremely thick down to the very ends and when I try to braid it all, then thick bunches will stick out. I was always so envious of my friends whose braids tapered so beautifully. I tried getting layers so that my hair is thinner towards the bottom, but then those layers just stick out of the braid again. I think I really just need to accept my hair as it is... I guess we just always want what we don't have. I would also love my hair to be naturally curly

Samiya ferguson: My hair fell out dramatically after 4 years of being vegan. For the last year I have been drinking milk and eating eggs from the farmers market and my hair is thick again yay!

Breinfrog: thanks! finely a hair tutorial I can use

waterchild_23: Have you tried vedic herbs for hair masks and homemade shampoos? I've used vedic herbs in combination with soapnuts, sometimes aleppo soap and other natural haircare like vinegar, rosemary and nettle rinsing for at about two and a half years, I've gone from thin shoulder length hair to thicker at about waistlength hair. Herbs and also nutrition are powerful tools when it comes to hair care!

Tejavarshini Tharakshi: This video made me not to feel insecure anymore

Vanessa Kirk: I bought function of beauty during the holidays because of you. I really love it!

Tsuyugo: My problem with my rather thin hair that it's too "silky" High pony/bun within an hour slide to my neck area, tight curls with a ton of hairspray are falling out to almost straight hair super fast.... And I don't know what to do about it! Some people suggest to me that I need to damage it a little for my hair to hold hairstyles.... but my hair is already thin and fragile! :(

Kitzy A: I have natural loose curls, which are very frizzy - i find a half-back with a simple barrette clip the best for me, as the curls give volume down my back, but as soon as I try to style it using braids/updo/ any sort of de-frizzing product inc. heat, I lose all the volume and it looks very thin. this is a problem emphasised by broad shoulders, giving me more back for the hair to have to cover!

MnM: I've found that lush's hot oil treatment (the red one with a stick on it?) works for my thin hair. Sadly, living in a tropical country, i cant not wash my hair, you know? So lush's hot oil treatment is one solution i've found. However, when they're out if stock, maybe an infusion/serum of rosemary oil and flaxseed could also work. I think it's one of its ingredients?

Martyna Wasik: I find that adding a bit of green powder clay (kaolin? Or just a shampoo which already contains kaoiln) to my shampoo gives nice volume, but the key is to use only a little amount. Other than that, cassia treatments, scalp tonics and fitted haircare to hair porosity. Even thin hair, when taken care of and healthy, will look beautiful ⭐️ my struggle is to find a good protective hairstyle for sleeping though ‍♀️

Diekje: I have thin hair and just lost 20 cm of hair. I cried for two days and don’t like it or know how to handle it. So at least it’s nice to see there are other girls like me

Psycho Girl: Your hair looks really nice

Grace Asher: The same thing happened to me. I lost a lot of hair when I lost a ton of weight. When I got back to a normal weight the thickness never came back :/

Elli Yo: I've wanted to purchase function of beauty shampoo and conditioner for months, but I couldn't afford food and rent, but I hope one day I can try it! Also, how long does it last? :)

Lisa W: If you don‘t mind sharing, did you ever measure your ponytail circumference? I‘m curious because „thin hair“ depends a lot of one‘s own perception. (Even Nessa from Haartraumfrisuren here on Youtube had comments where people called her hair thin...)

Milja Hahto: I prefer pin curls for wet setting. They can be used for vintage style, or just random curls. Pins are easy enough to sleep with.

bellona6356: If your hair is thin, I must be nearly bald. You have beautiful hair.

rihabe el khabzi: i have thinning hair with visible scalp , my hair is coase but sooo thin and curly , and because it's soo thin it doesn't look good when i curl it naturally which sucks , thank you for the video <3
