So here we go hi mao paws and new pals. Today'S video is five minute friday. Happy friday, i'm going to show you five hairstyles to style if you have short, hair and you're wearing glasses, so today's video is sponsored by smart, buy glasses. If you've been following me for any sort of time, you know that i am literally going blind. I have glaucoma, so it's fun for me to jazz it up with glasses. My hairstyles are some different frames that i got to pick from. Smart buys smart by collection. Each frame is seven dollars. I will have all the information in the info below let's get started and have some fun with our glasses. These first pair, i think, are very, very cute, they're, very, very 70s. So here are two hairstyles inspired by these frames. I am just going to go ahead and grab the front sections leave some out around the frame and all you're going to need are a couple of bobby pins. I'M going to kind of fold this twist into itself to make it look a little bit more seventies. I'M gon na take my bobby pin shove it in and we're gon na do that on the other side. So here is the first style, it's just two cute little twists kind of pushes the bangs a little forward very seventies style. If you ask me, it's super super easy. The next hairstyle is just a quick half updo. I literally just take the front section of my hair, pull out some pieces and keep that 70s style vibe going twist and push upwards and secure it with bobby pins and boom. Now you have a cute little half updo 70s style. This. We have a really cute. Just classic black cat eye frame from the smart buy collection really want to play off of this and make this a little edgier. So i'm just going to go ahead and take my hair to the side for this style, i'm going to use black bobby pins just to match and i'm going to go ahead and take off these glasses for a second and i'm going to start right at my Temple do about half an inch apart, we're going to kind of shape out the bobby pins, because i kind of want, like a fanned out effect with these and one more and go straight in tuck that hair fan it downward a little bit. I look smart, but edgy don't mess with me in these smart by glasses, okay and for our last frame. I want to do another little side, part except i'm, going to take my bangs and if you don't have bangs no worries, i feel like this would be easier you're just going to take them hold them here. I'M going to take the hair push it forward, so it covers your forehead and i'm just using a bobby pin the color of my hair and then i'm going to take the remainder i'm going to brush this upward with a poor bristle brush. Now, i'm just taking a clear elastic secure this ponytail. These frames really remind me of the 60s, and i feel like this look with this little high pony and then a little bit almost like a comb over bang to the side is perfect. Now, for this last style, i'm going to take some texturizing spray to the ends of my hair, because i'm going to need a little extra hold and you'll see. Why go back to the center part? And i'm just going to take sections of my bangs right here and start twisting them over each other and picking up a section underneath each one skip a section. Add it to that bottom, one twist it over and as soon as you get above, your ear grab. One more section and then twist all the way to the end and secure it by going towards the actual twist itself. Now. This is where we take the remainder of the hair like this and i'm just gon na roll it and secure it with a lot of bobby pins. So here we go. The method that i like to use is going up with the bobby pin and back down towards the nape of the neck, and here you have it a little twist with a little roll. Now i feel like it matches the vibe of these glasses perfectly. That is it for today's five minute friday. I hope you enjoyed this episode. Don'T forget to check out smart by glasses. Jim Boice: In most cases you're the expert when it comes to hairstyles and makeup, but when it comes to glasses that's where i'm an expert. That's because I was an optician for many many years and fitted several hundred young ladies with their glasses. Many were getting their first pair of glasses so that was even more critical that they looked good wearing glasses for the first time. the fact that most of them returned to me whenever they needed new glasses tells me they approved of their previous glasses. You're truly a very attractive young woman both with and without glasses. It should never a question of whether someone looks better with or without glasses. They should look equally as good either way. You have proven that with previous videos you made wearing various styles of frames. I haven't heard of "SmartBuy" glasses before. I did check out their site and they seem to have a rather nice selection of frames to choose from for glasses and the prices, mostly $7.00 and including single vision prescription lenses, is a very good price as well. Paying $39.00 for an option package that includes AR coating is a bit more than some sites charge, but not unreasonable. Now my review on the glasses you selected. Now of course you certainly can disagree with me and that's perfectly fine. The main thing is what you like. The first frame I have issues with for a number of reasons. First of all the frame is "overwhelming" because it's much too large for your much smaller face size. They are much too wide. The first thing I would look at when fitting someone with glasses was make sure the frame wasn't too wide or too narrow. Next thing is your lovely eyes tend to give the appearance tat your a bit "cross eyed" a look i don't thing you really want from your glasses. You always want your eyes to be as close to center as possible. Notice that your eyes are much much closer to your nose than being centered. The next thing is that you never ever want the top of your glasses blocking or covering your eyebrows. I'm sure you spend time doing your brows so why would you ever want them hidden by your glasses? Lastly your much too attractive to be wearing glasses that are covering so much of your beautiful face. These are the glasses that the next time you decide to play football with friends you need to wear and hope they get broke. The 2nd pair is a good bit better but still slightly too large. I do like the "cat-eye" shape and the style and I would actually love that same frame if it was smaller. The last pair again much too big for your face size. Slightly bigger frames are trending, just not this big. I am a huge fan of rimless and even a bigger fan of semi-rimless glasses on young attractive women so for that reason I do like that being a nice thin wire frame still allows for your face to be seen so well even wearing glasses. Even being too big it's nice to be able to how lovely you are. In watching several other videos where you were wearing glasses I liked all of them on you and in checking the frame sizes I am sure that the best size frame on you is between 128 and 130 millimeters over all width. These 3 are all well above that size. My comment was only meant to be helpful and certainly in no way a hate comment. It's a very scary time in history and let's all hope and pray we can get past this before too many more die from this virus. So please take care and stay safe.
