I got a pixie cut back in January and for the past 4 months I have been growing it out and this is the length it's at now (keep in mind, I get my hair trimmed regularly and when you trim hair this short it's super noticeable haha. So sometimes it seems as if I keep cutting it shorter but it's all part of the growing out process.) Anywho- today I'm going to show you a few easy hairstyles you can do to jazz up your hair. Let me know in the comments which hairstyle was your favorite! :)

Hi guys it's Jackie and I'm so excited because I'm filming in front of my Christmas tree again it just I love filming in front my Christmas tree, because whenever I look to the viewfinder, I see the beautiful tree and it just lets a smile on my face. I'M just so excited, but anywho today, I'm going to show you guys four different hairstyles that you can do with basically any length hair, but before we get started, I got to share something really really awesome with you guys hold on so under my tree. I don't think you guys can tell, but I have some little gifts under the tree, and this is one of them and I got to show you guys what's inside it's just so cute tada, it's a homemade bath bomb, a how given that, so I actually made These myself yeah all by myself, and they were super easy too. So if you want to learn how to make these and give them as gifts this year to your friends and family, you can go over to the PopSugar girls guy channel and check out. My latest episode of lazy girl's guide to beauty where i show you how to make bath bombs. So I will leave that linked down below for your convenience, so go check it out. Leave a nice comment and say you're from my jack-jack channel and all that good stuff and let's go ahead and get started with the hair tutorials. Okay. So beware: I'm not wearing makeup in the next clip but anyways. When my hair is wet, I will use a heat, protectant and spray that in my hair and then brush it through with a paddle brush, just to make sure that everything is nice and distributed all through my short little hair. And then, after that, I will blow dry my hair and the reason I'm showing this is because, no matter what hairstyle I do, I always have to blow-dry it blow dry and straighten my hair. It'S really important, and this blow-dryer in particular, is so powerful and amazing. My dad used it when he was at my house of a few weekends ago and he fell in love with it and I ended up buying it for him for Christmas. So I don't. I don't know why. I told you like that, but anyways I will leave all the information to all the products I'm using in the downbar, but this is really important with my hair. So I like to kind of confuse my bangs. That'S what I blow dry first, so I'll blow dry them all forward and then to sighs and just I don't know, kind of confused my hair. I learned this trick from a really old, candy Johnson video and it's like the best hair trick. I'Ve ever heard - and it just works crazy, because your bangs will look amazing if you like, confuse them like this and then I'll just blow dry. My hair, the rest of my hair in the direction of it's supposed to go so pretty boring, pretty simple, it's whatever! I mainly just wanted to show you guys the trick for my bangs by confusing them cuz. I think it's a really good trick. So after I blow dry my hair and it's completely dry, I will move over to my sister's bathroom because I don't have a flat iron, so I will use her flat iron. Can you believe that I do not own a flat iron right now, do not be fooled. I may have short hair, but I have a lot of it, so I have to flat iron my hair in sections. So that's what I'm doing right now and I wanted to include this, like these clips of me flat ironing my hair in this video, because, no matter what hairstyle I do, even that curly one that I was wearing and intro this video I have to flat iron. My hair first because I have very coarse frizzy and wavy hair. I know it may not seem like it, because the camera doesn't really pick up the texture of my hair that well, but it really is. I have like before any hair, so I have to straighten my hair first, so that is what I'm doing right now, so this first hairstyle is the easiest. So, on the side of your part, the side that has the least amount of hair, you want to grab a section behind your ear and leave some hair in front of your ear to frame your face. But I'm going to grab a section and pinch it and push it up to give a little bit of volume and then just secure it with two bobby pins and that's basically it so. I really like this hairstyle because it just it gives my really boring bob. A little bit of edge, so I really like it and I've been getting a lot of compliments wearing this, so yeah that was nice, so hairstyle number two is a lot more playful because it's cute little piggy tails! Yes, but my short bob actually does make it into little pig tails. So I'm going to split the back of my hair into two and then grab one part, and I like to pull some hair in front of my ears to frame my face and then I'm just going to take a tiny little black elastic one of these little Tiny ones and I'm going to secure that around my hair and it's very tiny, but yes, it does hold and make it into a little ponytail. Look at this watch boom. Mind blown yes, you are so I'm just going to tug it a little bit to give some volume, because I don't like when my hair is like tight against my head and then I'm just going to do the same thing to the next side and I'm always Make sure that I have hair in front of my ears to frame my face and to add a little more fun to this hair, I'm going to take a cute little flower pin and clip that to the back of my hair. How cute? I think this hairstyle is so playful and youthful and totally my style. I really like this, so this third hairstyle is probably the hardest of all of them, but it's still really easy. So we're going to grab some hair on the side where our bangs are and we're going to create a Dutch braid and what a Dutch braid is is basically a backwards French braid. So when you French, braid your hair, you the middle strand, you usually put it underneath, but for a Dutch braid you put the middle strand over the side. Do you see how I put the middle strand over the sides, so you're just going to keep repeating that and grabbing up grab it like picking up hair, I'm so bad at explaining this on my gosh you're gon na pick up here and go over on this Side, I don't know how to describe or explain braiding it's very complicated for me and confusing. So I'm hoping that you guys can just see what my hands are doing and kind of get it from there. But I'm just going to braid down a little bit and then once I get to the end of my hair, I'm going to secure it with a bobby pin or two. So what I love about a Dutch braid is that you can actually make it really big in full. So I'm going to pull the little sides out of the braid and it just makes it look bigger and fuller, and it just looks really cool, and I don't know I like doing this whenever I do a Dutch braid, so I'm just gently tugging on the braid To just make it look bigger and give it more texture, so it's not so tight and flat against my head. You guys know I don't like when my hair is flat against my head and now to round out this look, I'm going to be clipping the sides of my hair, similar to the first hairstyle again, I'm leaving hair in front of my ear pinching and pushing up Hair and then just securing it with a bobby pin and I'm going to do this on both sides of my hair and now this third hairstyle is complete. So the fourth hairstyle is my favorite and the most requested that I've been asked, and it's like this messy curly hair that I've been wearing recently so similar to straightening my hair. I need to do this in sections, so I'm going to section my hair. Did you hear my like mouth made this little thing when I was talking, I ooh makes me cringe, but anyways. I am going to section my hair and then take my flat iron. Oh still, sectioning, my hair, because I'm really slow. Okay. So now I'm going to grab the flat iron and take a small section of hair, maybe like half an inch of hair and I'm going to clamp it in the flat iron and twist it back to create a nice little curl. So, just like that make sure you don't hold it for too long or you're going to get something SuperDuper curly I mean this by itself is already really curly, but you don't want anything too tight. So I'm just going to do this to a few little random sections. I don't do it to all of my hair because we're not trying to go for an afro or anything. So with this new section, I'm doing the exact same thing, taking small pieces of hair and then twisting it back in the flat iron to create these curls and I'm not doing it to all my hair, I'm just doing it to random sections all throughout my hair. So I'm really just grabbing random pieces. This hairstyle is very messy and very crazy, and the thing about it is that because it's so random it always looks different every single time. I do it so it's not going to look the same every time and I think that's okay, so I'm just going to keep grabbing random sections and gently curling them and then, after that, I'm going to grab some mousse just a little bit of mousse and I'm Gon na rub that, through my hair, to help keep my hair voluminous and bake it, because I like fake hair - and I cannot lie what about the kitchen, okay and then after I put that in my hair. I'M going to use some hairspray, and this is my white sands infinity spray, which is one of my favorites, and I'm just going to spray that all over my hair to lock in those messy curls and this hairstyle is complete. So that's it for this video. I hope you guys enjoyed. Let me know in the comments which hairstyle was your favorite number. One number two number three or number four, I'm gon na have to say number four is my favorite. I just love this messy crazy. Look. I just love it. So let me know what your favorite is and if you recreate these be sure to send me a picture on Instagram Twitter, Facebook, any of them and use hashtag Jack Jack. So I can see it and don't forget to check out my lazy girls guide to beauty episode, so you can make these bath bombs. Your friends are going to love them, I'm not even kidding. My sister has used them. I'Ve used them, they make your skin feel. So soft and they're just awesome gifts so got ta, go check that out. I am done talking because I just talk way too much and for reasoning today. It'S so windy wrong. So thank you guys. So much for watching and I'll see you guys next time. Bye have a magical day.

Mya Cole: Finally someone with actual short hair

Sophie Horsfield: It's nice that there's a 'growing out hair video' where the hair is actually shorter than shoulder length.

elliesayshi: I needed this video. I'm growing out my hair from a pixie cut and it's killiiiing me. :D

PhantomMidnight: I remember watching this a few months ago and feeling disappointed that my growing pixie wasn't long enough to do these styles. Well, I found your video again and now I can! These are all adorable! :)

Brooklyne Corradi: I love number 4 so much!! I'm currently growing out my pixie cut and I'm definitely going to try this out!

e v a ?: Ahhhh! You are so cute and these videos are so helpful! I've had a pixie for 2 years now and I'm finally trying to grow it out! At the moment it is all at my jawline! Thanks for these super helpful and great videos!

Haley Gordy: Your video helped a lot for my hairstyle. I've been growing my hair out for almost a year and it's about the same length as yours maybe a bit shorter. I definitely enjoyed the ponytails and the last one because those are the two that I can probably do best. Thank you so much! Your video was amazing, keep up the good work! :)

Alex Bunis: I absolutely love this tutorial! The Dutch braid is my favorite! So cute.

Allison Wernsman: Love, love, LOVE all of these :) I'm growing out a pixie and can't wait until my hair is this length so I can try these styles!

Isabella Pereira: I know you made this video a while ago, but thanks so much for posting it. I am growing out a pixie cut right now. It was fun and easy during quarantine, but I miss my long hair. I’ve been dreading the awkward phases, but your styles are really cute and easy to achieve (I’m not the best with my own hair haha). Thanks again!

Rose J: Your hair sounds exactly like mine! Yay, now I'll have hairstyles I can actually do! Thank you!

alyssa geisler: Oh my god thank you so much for this video, confusing the bangs made my hair look awesome! My bangs are longer but it still worked easily well. I tried the pigtails and its so frickin adorable!! Love your videos Jackie!

SimplyBella: I've always hated braiding because I never know how to but your video is really helpful!! Can't wait to try them

Chio Gonzalez: I saw this video many months ago, when I just got my pixie, and I thought "OMG, it lloks amazing, now I have to wait for my hair to grow out". Now, here I am, with almost the same lenght as you, and I feel so happy because it seems like I finally can style my hair with something else than flat iron and bobby pins. :D Thank you. <3

Gina Cuba: I can't wait for my hair to grow out a little more so I can try these!!! I'm growing out a short (short!) pixie, and right now it's so shaggy and uneven, it always clings to my head!!! I'm just starting highschool, so my I.D. pictures going to look awful, but by winter break I'm hoping it'll look like yours!! Would it be okay if I showed a picture of you to my hairdresser??

Tammy Adams: I'm so glad I found this! I cut my hair to a pixie cut a few weeks back because my hair was so damaged it was breaking off. I would fill my hair brush every time I brushed my hair, it was so sad. I've been letting it grow since Dec to try to get more length to my roots before I cut off my long hair and now I just have to wait for it to grow back. There are layers on the top back of my crown that they didn't even have to cut to blend in to my hair and instead they had to cut my hair to blend into the broken layers. My hair grows really fast thankfully (like half an inch a month) so I know it won't take too long but this is the first video I have seen with hair close to what mine is now.

Hanna Hulsen: Yes!!! Finally someone with super short hair that has different looks! My hairdresser cut my hair too short and now I have to figure out how to wear it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! ❤️

Sarah Wilmot: Thank you so much! I have the same exact hairstyle and this video is perfect for me! Thank you so much!❤

Ell Atkinson: I love the last hair style! You have saved me as my hair is at that awkward inbetweeny stage but I'm definitely going to try this!

Lucy Day: I'm pretty sure my hair has just got to the right length for these styles :D i already do the first one (one of my favourites) but looking forward to trying the other 3! Personally, I also love number 4 but I have no clue how well it will work on my hair because it's sooooo thick D: PS - Really loved the tip on blow drying your bangs - cannot wait to try that!

Bethany Caldwell: I've been trying to grow my hair out for years! I always get to a certain point and just cut it all off again. This time im trying to be super patient and survive the awkward grow out phase. While my hair looks crazy I focus on other areas like extra gorgeous make up, clothes & fun accessories so I still feel feminine and beautiful.... (just with a slight mullet ) even tho I know most of these tips its always good to be reminded and remember that im not the only one going thru this drab never-ending process! So thank you!

Nik: I have a bob that is VERY stacked at the back! I can FINALLY put the little pig tails in! I like to dutch braid the sides and then do pigtails at the bottom. It's a little closer to the head, but you could still pull the sides and make it a bit bigger. :) Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm just really getting bored with my hair. (BTW- this is a VERY old profile pic. I did have a pixie at that point and it was fabulous! But right now I'm really wanting to grow out the layering on my stacked bob and have it more collarbone length. Seems more versataile.

Kai.Hman: Beware without makeup? Oh my gosh, you're gorgeous without make up! I'm so jealous.

Elizabeth Mucker: Oh my goodness, you just saved my life!  I've had short hair for years now.  When I first got the cut I was just fine knowing that's it's short and easy and still cute even if you just wear it naturally, but lately I've been wanting to try new things with it but have had NO idea what to do. Love these!  Gonna do the messy curls tomorrow! :D P.S. I also love my hair big! lol

Natasha Van Graan: Hi. I love your video. I must just thank you for that blowout tip of confusing your bangs! Literally the first time in forever that my hair looks like it should!!! Thanks so much. Keep it up

Stella Jeffery: These are so sweet and adorable! I have been searching ALL OVER YouTube to find the right video, and sure enough, this was it!! Friends, family and even randoms have been forever complimenting my hair! I am recommending this to my friends!

Julie Torfin: thank you so much for making this video. your ideas help me feel more confident in a too-short cut that I've regretted. Thank you!!

Shanae Allyse: I’m growing my hair from bald and it’s SOO awkward to try and style! I shaved my hair and donated it all (20 inches). I have some hair that reaches my shoulders, and some hair that barely reaches my ears! This video actually helped SOOOO much!!

Aleah Monroe: I loved 3 and 4 and plan on using them this and next week. Thank u for the tutorial. :-)

sheryl santos: This is the first time I saw your video and omg we have the same hair cut. It's also same routine for me in the morning blow dry and flat iron. I'm planning to grow my hair and want to experience long hair with curl, but it's taking forever. I like the 4th hair style I gonna actually try it.

Tinna Kjartansdóttir: Hi Jackie! Like a year ago, I found this video and it was super helpful. Since then, I am a loyal part of the flower fam!! Your my favorite snapper and youtuber, and sometimes I watch your vlogs too. Oh and my fav was no. 4.

Minty Usagi: The 4th one looks fun! I like that one, I'll try that one out for my hair! Thank you!

Lili Prins: @JaaackJack, you are adorable! I don’t even have short hair, but I can’t help but watch because you’re genuine, funny and cute, and the styles are simple and easy. So refreshing to see a hair vid that isn’t made by a full makeup clad poser who spends the whole video sexy pouting at themselves!

Lindsey R: I am going to bookmark this video!!! I am trying to grow my hair out for my wedding and I am worried it won't be long enough to do anything with it, so this video is flipping amazing!!!!

JJ: I don't regret cutting my hair into a pixie because I feel so comfortable and like I look really androgynous but god I miss my long hair and want it back

ellen ellen: I have the exactly same 'problem' and you're given me so much inspiration <3

Kristen Rose: this is the first video I've seen of yours and let me tell you I am so glad I found it!! I recently got my hair cut short and have been serving up some pretty boring styles :/ however, your tips are going to make this a lot more fun! also you are such an adorable person omg !!! :):)

Aeon de Chavez: Hi, I just discovered your channel and I was just wondering how long it took for you to grow your hair to that length? I'm in the process of growing out a reaaalllyy short pixie so I was just wondering how long it'll take.. (Btw, I REALLY enjoyed this vid. I might try all of these styles when my hair grows)

Katharina R: Awesome tutorial - Thank you! My favourite is number 4

Oriana Moore: you are the cutest fricking thing, you look so cuddly and full of sunshine, and you're so glowy without makeup! Thanks for the video. :)

Darcey Edwards: I get so bored with my hair (which is why I cut it all of in the first place) and I combined hairstyles 1 and 4 and I love it!!

Kawaii Star-Chan: Number 4 was my favorite. Thx for posting this video ! I've been looking for new ways to do my hair for school and this is perfect Thx !!

Jenelle Guerrero: So cute. I just recently cut my hair really short... like middle of my neck... and I've always had long hair but I wanted a change and I love how I look but I'm just doing the same thing every day. This was so helpful. Thank you

Talia Lynch: I love this video so much. My favourite one is the one with the dutch braid. It looks so pretty!

Sarah Z: OMG Your hair is perfect! Ever since I had a bob cut it's just not exactly the hair I want and I never know how to style it right. I think i'm gonna show a picture of your cut to my hairdresser and say I want THAT.

Brianna S: Omg, I just LOVE your personality!! You're so cheerful!! Oh, and I love how you actually have my EXACT hairstyle! It's nice seeing a hair tutorial with a person that actually has short hair!! :)

Romie Tumilowicz: I love #4! You explain things really well..I never heard that you could put mousse in dry hair. I will have to try that trick!

C. P.: You're adorable! I have the same length hair right now and I've been looking for new ways to wear my hair! Im happy I found your video' :) Today I curled it and pinned one side back and I got so many compliments about it :)

Love: Wow, don’t use heat on your hair or avoid it as much as possible. That’s one tip to grow your hair longer if that’s your goal. I never use heat. Love the third hairstyle!

Bubble Toons: finally, SHORT hair

anna: literally cut my hair to bob length about an hour ago. every time i looked up hairstyles they were for people with shoulder length hair. thank you for making this, because if you didn't i wouldn't know how to style my hair

Grace Elliot: Finally!! Someone has the same hairstyle that I have!! The barber messed up on my hair so it was cut a lot shorter than I wanted... but whatever. Your haircut is the exact same one I have (profile pic is not recent haha) and these styles are SO helpful. Thanks!!!

LégumesEtFleurs: It's crazy! I am a mother of 1 and already 36 but still watching young people's "girly vid". Lol! I must admit that was super cute. I love all four hairstyles, but #4 really rocks! By the way, you radiate good vibes . Keep it up!

MarySmiles: The fact that your Dad used your blowdryer and fell in love with it is the *CUTTEST* thing!! *^-^*

Flutterfly Flowers Ltd: For a mummy like me with 3 children, I have never taken the time to build a relationship with my hair, it's been long, medium and now it's a short hot mess Lol Your video's are teaching me how to build a relationship with my hair lol. Very cute styles.

Jadyn Martinez: Thank you so much! I'm growing out my buzz-cut and this helped so much.

Carlota Tuprio: I always do the first one! I agree it's so edgy and it gives volume to my hair! <3

Nix Six: My hair is just like yours! It's super thick and really wavy and curly. This video helps a lot. Thank you!

carolinen174: I'm actually obsessed with my short hair idk why everyone wants long hair

Catherine Torres: love the messy style and how you make things simple by not bombarding the video with product advertisements :)

Whitney Moses: I'm in the process of growing out my pixie, which was once shaved. so this video helped me EXTREMELY with trying to fix the amount of hair that I have. :)

Misfit Red: I love these hairstyles, my friends always say my hair is flat and boring but these hairstyles were so cute and got me so many complements

Deborah Dines: It’s great to see your ideas as I’m in between and growing out my short hair number 4 my favourite

Faith Bartlett: I wanted to do the pony tails but my hair is layered at the back so it falls out short hair problems

Ruth: First video of yours that Ive seen. Watched with my two young girls. Two of us liked #4 and my oldest loved the pig tails. Thanks for sharing!

Autumn: Oh my gosh thank you so much for this video!! This helps alot I've been trying to do something with my hair at that length

Jaime: I think I saw 5 hairstyles! The "base" style counts! Super cute hair. Mine is almost this length so this was really helpful! Great vid! ☺
