She Said, "I Want To Cut It Off"

Mannie came to my DM to shoot her shot and I loved her story. She lost a lot of her hair due to postpartum. Watch as she frees herself and starts a new journey!

Hey everybody and welcome back today we have manny here she is one of my subscribers that got in my dms on instagram to shoot her shot and told me her story, and i was very intrigued now look at this. Look at all this hair that she has. She is going through a bit much with her hair. She just had a baby boy and you know a lot of times after you have a baby that postpartum situation is a lot. So i'm going to start by putting some satin serum heat protectant in her hair. Just before i get the blow drying, um and yeah, she just went through she's, going through so much where her hair she's lost a whole lot of it. Um some people on my instagram and tic tac was like where how did she lose hair? Because it's like, when you see all of this hair still left? It kind of puts you in a space like what what could have possibly been going. But her hair was a lot fuller than this, and it's coming out in clumps and it's just driving her crazy and her edges are leaving her temples are thin, so she just wants a new look. She never cut her hair in her life. You know trims, but she's never cut her hair in her life and she just wants a really new look, and i told her that i would give it to her. So i'm just going to go in and get ready for this blow dry. I don't know if you saw um the last video i had with a client whose hair was like all way to the back of her thighs as well, and it took me two hours to blow dry her. So it didn't take me as long to blow dry. Many simply because she um her hair is not as full as the last client's hair was like. It looks like a lot more hair than it is it's just very, very long and as she stated, it was much fuller. So, let's just see we're gon na go in and just do what we always do, take a wide tooth comb and take our time combing their hair out and not hurt her now. The thing is when she got in my dm to talk to me about what hairstyle she wanted um. I was like. Oh, my god, like you know, sometimes i get a little anxious like that's a lot of hair to cut um, but you know it's her hair and i posted the video already the short version on my instagram and on my tic toc, hey y'all. I noticed that a lot of y'all are on tick tock, a lot of people in my comments like, oh my god, it's deeper to hear tv. Oh my god! I follow you on youtube, so i'm not usually on tick tock that much like it's something that i want to get more consistent with uh. So you guys make me feel super welcome over there. So i'm gon na try my best to stay a little more consistent over there um so yeah follow me on tik tok, social genius, the same exact handle as instagram but yeah. She wants her hair cut pretty significantly today and when i posted the short version on instagram and tick tock, you know i just had to add a disclaimer like listen. I know y'all gon na be in your feelings about what she gon na do with her hair, but we have to remember it's her hair, like people always get so up in arms, about people cutting their hair, and it's like how you know one of my favorite Things to say is: how is what this person doing with their hair affecting you? How does it affect you? How does it affect your life? How is it hurting you it's it's what she wants. You know with a new baby, i'm pretty sure not dealing with. All of this. You know helps too and just being a new mom. Sometimes you want a new look and that's exactly what she said. She'S like i just wan na. I want something different. I wan na look brand new and i wan na take care of my hair in the process. So that's what's gon na happen today, so now that we have well i'ma just skip throughout the whole blow dry and just show you how long her hair truly. Is you see i have to like lift it up? It'S like a long long like rope so right here it doesn't even fit all the way in the frame it's legit to the back of her thighs. If you look good, it's it's pretty sparse um, maybe like the last like six to eight inches to the bottom um, and so i you know i just talked to her. I asked her where she wanted her hair, and this is where she told me so i'm gon na what i'm gon na do today is i'm going to do the ponytail method. Now i wouldn't usually do this when i'm cutting someone's hair, but we decided collectively that she would like to donate her hair um. First, we were like talking about it because i know lots of love is one of the more popular ones but um. I also heard about a place called wigs for kids, so i think weeks for kids is a great place. I love helping. We love helping children and you know it's just. I heard great things about weeks for kids. So now i'm going in with my her strands of hair shears. They are back in stock right now so and a whole lot of colors so go over to hershey's hair.com check out her shears um and i'm just gon na go ahead and i'm gon na chop. Her down i'm gon na chop her down. This was a really big moment for her and look how full look, how instantly how much fuller her hair is with all of this taken off child. They look like a payback pony. If you ask me, it was all these people in the comments like she donated donated to me that was so hilarious, but, yes, a whole payback pony come on swing, your full new hair. So now that i have done that ponytail method, i have to go in now and clean up that cut because the ponytail method may seem kind of cute. But it's not like getting that precision that you know i thrive on. So i'm going to go in and i am just going to clean up those ends and make sure it's extra sharp. Now one thing about cutting your hair when it was that long to begin with, is it just a level of freedom um that you feel a lot of times, people who have hair this long, especially their whole life? It literally becomes their whole identity, and sometimes they don't want to be attached to that anymore. You know what i'm saying it's like: we are free to do whatever we want and i feel, like everyone should experience different hairstyles, at least once in their life. I know one day i'm like going to shave my hair - i i don't know when it's happening, but one of these days i just want to be able to just touch my head and this. It'S not really nothing there, not like ball ball, but, like you know a little boy, i want it low um. I just feel like it's like a level of freedom. That'S there that we all should experience. I know everybody doesn't want to do that, but i'm just saying you know think about it. This is a little situation that i think would make you feel really good. Now i want to talk to y'all a little bit about why the hair goes through this. When you have a baby now, on average, hair goes through a three stage: process growth, a resting phase and then the shedding phase when you're pregnant hormones like estrogen, prolong the growth phase. So the increase of estrogen causes our hair not to shed as it normally would. The hair that would normally fall out during the shedding phase now stays put and the result is fuller, hair and, if you're, on prenatal pills, your hair will flourish even more, but once the baby is born, your hormone levels will return to normal, and with that, your Hair shifts back to its normal cycle too, and back to a shedding phase. So due to those estrogen levels, plummeting many women can experience rapid hair shedding around three to six months after giving birth, especially in their temple areas. Here, i'm just giving her a little face frame action, just a tiny bit of layer across the front um, so it won't be all the same length and then um, just cleaning up those front ends as well. You know giving her a little bit of little leah. Bangs, you know how i feel about that. I love. I love me a good alia bang and i love me a good justin, bieber bang. Now next, i'm gon na go in, and i'm just going to do a little long layers just softly to make sure that it's just still not all one length and just super blunt uh at the bottom and just graduated, see it just kind of makes it kind Of graduate down and gives it a softer landing, if you watched my last video, you heard the announcement of our new product, our tiny mini flat iron, our small 22 titania. I call her peggy sue and she is to get those edges and those baby, hair, curls and those pixie cuts. So i'm going to go in with peggy sue right now. Now, if you can see up closely how her hair is super thin in the temple areas. Remember i said, like those temple areas is really usually what gets it the hardest. So i'm just going to go in and i'm just going to press her temples, her edges with peggy sue, just to make sure that her edges are laid once we get all the way into styling. Now, although hair loss after having a baby seems scary, the cool part is, you are not going bald, it's completely normal and it's temporary, so you will more than likely be fully recovered in a year. So i'm going to give you a few tips to help your hair get back on track, so you could be swinging your healthy hair, with confidence by your baby's first birthday party. My first suggestion is to minimize wash days just stretch your hair in between time. A little longer to avoid any extra tugging pulling and tension on your hair and edges next change. Your hairstyle. This is perfect for this part of the video wearing your hair in flat styles or pulled away from the face will expose what your hair is going through. So just try a few extra curls or flexi rod set or even bangs to help with the illusion of fullness and to cover the temples. Even a new haircut will not only help the hair look thicker, but will also help you feel brand new having a baby. Sometimes takes that away from you. My next suggestion is treatments, make sure on every single wash day to give your hair. The proper conditioning reconstructors are a must nexus. Emergency is one of my faves. You can also use a good protein treatment, like our resurrection mask deeper than hair.com and, lastly, take your vitamins. One thing i always tell new moms is to keep taking their prenatal pills. It helps with their hormonal imbalance. Multivitamins is also another way to make sure you're getting everything your body needs also get a good hair vitamin my personal favorite that works really well for hair growth and fullness is hair fuel i'll, make sure to link everything below make sure before you take any supplements. You consult with your health care professional, especially if you're breastfeeding. Okay, that's that's very, very important! So yeah, i'm just using peggy sue's big cousin smoking mirrors to give her some drunken curls the tip i used about just adding a few extra curls just so you could get that fullness. I did this so that her hair could appear fuller and she could have that body that she was looking for, because what we're not going to do is cut all the hair off and not give it a little razzle dazzle. You know like flat. Hair is very beautiful and it's cute, but the truth is it's going to get flatter over time, so you just want to start with a little something something so that you know she have something to work with or something to fight with, as the days go on Now on your problem areas, or even let's just say you want to wear protective styles, i think protective styles are good, but i think i rather you wear like a low manipulation style, so instead of wearing like sew-ins or braids, because i feel like that's a little Too much tension on the hair to maybe do ponytails or flexi rod sets just low manipulation, something that makes it so. You don't have to touch your hair often, but you can still watch it and gauge it and make sure that it's okay, but on those problem spots, especially if you're wearing little manipulation. Styles just put something like jamaican black, castor oil on those trouble areas. Like your edges, speaking of edges, i'm going in with my laid edge control, um, and i'm just gon na put a little bit of that on her edges. I don't want it to travel all throughout her hair. It'S not oil, based like most edge controls, is wax base, which makes it last a lot longer and i'm just using it to make sure that her edges are nice and neat underneath her new haircut. Now i'm going over the glass brim and shine, of course, just to seal that in and then i'm going to take a wide tooth comb and i am going to just pull those curls out just a little bit and fluff it with my hands. That'S what makes it super nice and super flowy and just makes it look a little it's neat, but it also can be like a bed head kind of vibe and just look how happy she is like that that was my favorite part of her visit like she Was so happy, i know you can see the smile, but i just wish you could hear everything she was saying and then her husband and baby came to pick her up and he was just as happy. You know i can't speak for all husbands, but men love them some hair, okay, so he was just so happy with it as well, and i'm just so glad to have given her first haircut and send her on her way. Thanks for watching bye,

Ms Ms: So nice that your client donated her hair, loved when she was shaking her head from side to side. The client looked amazing, you did a fantastic cut.

Nylaaa: I had a wig from wigs for kids years ago when I had leukemia, that's so nice she wanted to donate her hair there!

Toy Dubz: Imma defend her, postpartum is CRAZY. My hair was down my back with my last child, and it broke off so bad!! She is doing what she has to do, we can't put so much value on hair that we forget about the person it's ATTACHED TO!!

Asia Monday: It was the hair swing after the big cut for me! A weight was lifted and I could see that. I hope she enjoys it ❤️

Operngeist1: It's also important to know that during pregnancy any supplements you take are not for the baby but for you! The baby is going to take what it needs from your body, so please take care of yourself!

Ellen: Commenting again to say, I have very long hair and so many days I say I'm just over it and want it all cut off, but I relate so much to what you're saying because I "hide" behind my hair. It's a security thing for me. I've gained a good 30 pounds after my 2nd baby, who is 12 now and I have no excuses not to lose it. I'm afraid I won't feel pretty anymore if I cut it. People know me for having long hair and I get compliments on it, idk what people will compliment anymore if it's gone, but it does weigh me down. I've cut it short before when I was thinner, and I remember how freeing it felt, but I just can't bring myself to do it again.

Ellen: I want to skip to the end so bad so I can see the finished product (yes, I have zero patience) but im holding out and watching every second because I know your videos are so calming and satisfying.

that girl in okc: You could see her smile through the mask! I can only imagine a career that brings so much joy to people. Thank you for repeating this is what she wanted.

Miss Sheba Baby: She’s beautiful and made a beautiful decision about her hair. Her joyful reaction to the snip was EVERYTHING! Your hands/talent are such a blessing. Thank you for sharing ❤️

Tay RioBravo: As someone who shaved her hair all the way off before… IT IS A LEVEL OF FREEDOM LIFE NEVER BEFORE. It’s not for everyone, but I loved it. It’s just hair it grows back.

The awesome person Chuney: It’s so awesome that she donated her hair, as a cancer patient I know it means a lot to someone so awesome

🤎Gentle Aurora Asmr 🖤: I agree! Some people get so angry when they see other cut their hair especially when its long. It's always "omg" why would you do that to yourself, "there's no need to cut it"..etc. some people just blantly hate on them. I don't get it, if a person want to cut their hair they have the right to do so. Some people really need to be release from the shackles that long hair is necessity!

Khalilah D.: Her hair is so gorgeous it I understand why she’d want to cut it. Pregnancy does that to you from time to time

Yanna: I did the big chop just last week. Big chops videos used to annoy me because I could never imagine cutting my hair off like that. When I tell you I feel so amazing I didnt even cry and I always had a decent length of hair. But having 2 kids back to back, losing my sister, marriage issues, getting covid, and racially bullied and fired at my job left my skin, mind , and my hair awful condition. Cutting my hair was the only thing I had control on in the moment and I feel so much happier. I think I’ll rock short cuts for awhile to when it gets some length to it. Everyone should cut or shave their heads once in life. It’s hair, it’ll grow back

AfroBoriLaFemme: I didn’t have hair quite that long, but it was almost waist length when my hair started thinning after having my child. Even my stylist was trying to convince me not to chop. But I didn’t want hair long enough to tempt me to put it in a pony or bun where my thinning could be noticed. I grabbed the scissors from her table and chopped a big piece off myself then said “it’s done, now please fix it and make it look cute.” Hair is JUST hair. If yours can’t grow long, get a wig. But don’t shame people who can grow long hair to keep it long for your enjoyment. I loved how bouncy my curls felt after that big chop and learned how to braid in extensions because now my hair was much shorter. That was 5 years ago and I recently did a big chop again because that long hair wasn’t giving what the short hair gave.

VShirey317: This was such a fun transition! Her hair is gorgeous.

Christine Adams: A beautiful job you did as always her hair looks so beautiful so glad that she was happy

TIFFANY BEST-THOMPSON: Just Beautiful! She is beaming!!! Blessings to her and her new addition! Hey Sis you owe us two opening inspirational quotes at the beginning of the next video! I look forward to those quotes!

Gloop Gleep: Again, kudos to you for actually giving her what she asked for. It's so hard to find someone who is willing to cut that much off. As usual, Kee did her thing and it's beautiful Her smile at the end is everything! ❤️

Regina Byrd: She looks so happy with her new look. That smile told it all. You can't tell us nothing when we just got our hair done.

Krissykriss: I think her new length looks healthy and beautiful! I can tell you as a mother of four kids ,(especially her having a newborn), all that hair she had would be impossible to take care of daily . Beautiful work as always sis! Happy Sunday and God bless!!

PotLuck Dee: This hair cut looks great on her. It just fits her☺️

JadeFoxx: I saw a quick clip of this on IG and I saw your hand and I said, that's Kee! Her hair looked so full and beautiful once it was cut. It's certainly on its way to being super healthy. And I loved the end result. ❤️❤️ I have a short haircut, so I'm gonna need me a Peggy Sue in my life! Lol

Sylvia Loves the Most High: She can show her son this video when he's older to let him know how much she did to bring him into the world Thank you for the calming and continually interesting content‍♀️

Dacia Drummond: The final result is absolutely beautiful! A weight (literally) was lifted off of her with this cut. Totally understand your desire to cut your hair really low. I wanted to do this a couple of years ago but I didn't in part because I think there is something strange that goes on with the back of my head. Lol

C. Griffin: I was anemic and low vitamin d didnt know and my hair was coming out in clumps. So stressful. Took about 5 months to grow back but I totally understand her wanting to cut it.

Jenn12141983: I couldn’t imagine dealing with all that hair with a new baby! She looks so happy now

Kat: I had long hair unitl my daughter was born and then it started to fall out in chunks. I went to a stylist and she left my hair looking horrible (I looked like a mix between He-man and a palm tree), so I went to another stylist who had to shave my head in order to fix it. You did an amazing job with this client, no wonder she was all smiles at the end!

Aisha Liané: Shave it!!! Omg, I definitely agree with trying new styles throughout your life. When I went to the barber the first time, he let me cut the first chunk to make sure I was ready. I wanted that hair O-F-F. The first year of my cut, every man I dated had hair longer than mine and I loved it. I like volume at the top with a fresh tapered fade now. I may grow it for another year or two, buzz it off again, and go blonde next time. Getting a new look is so refreshing!

DIY Dame: I love it when you give the interesting facts about hair. The whole pregnancy impact on hair was super interesting!

KnineFeline: Preach! I cut low on 60% of my hair, and every time I re-shave, I LOVE touching how soft it is!!! I'm even taking inches off the top now where I kept it longer, it was so freeing to finally do the hair style I wanted to do, not the one that my Mom wanted me to have my whole life, lol. She in love with long and straight, and I'm all about short and texture. Adulthood is a great thing. :)

La Morena: When I saw this video on IG I quickly got off and said to myself.......I'll wait to see it on YouTube! She basically did a BIG chop! And it looks so good! I love your videos and your work! It makes me miss being a hairstylist.

Coco Bovain: Love this! I love everything you do! Being a cosmetology instructor, I hope all students/ beginner beauty professionals discover your resources and info I aspire to have a educational channel like yours!!!!!

Wanda C: Yay! I am so glad she donated the hair♥️. I donated mine to Children with Hair Loss and got a cut I LOVED! It is so true that a short cut where you can feel your head is liberating...I kept it for 2 years and accidentally started letting it grow back when none of us were going anywhere...

Tanishia Hicks: I’m so glad that you touched on this honestly I wish this video was around 4 years ago when I gave birth I feel like this has been something that doesn’t get talked about enough women we take such pride in our hair and it can be really traumatic if you don’t know that this is normal and that it’ll grow back I really love that she donated her hair I always love the reactions when they see the final look

Latriise: Her hair looks great. I too have always had longer hair. And rather than a postpartum shed, I got a post covid shed. As my hair finally thickens back up at the roots, I've kinda been itching to cut more of the ends off. My stylist says my ends look fine, but in the next six months I may opt for a more dramatic cut too. To get to those thicker looking ends faster (which kinda means more to me than length, at this point).

Sonya: Gorgeous hair she has. Donating is a great thing to do.

LaLadybug2011: Her smile says it ALL! ❤️. She looks gorgeous! Congrats to her (and you!) for a great cut/style.

HJCWC: NGL, I clutched my chest when you first started cutting...but your client's whole demeanor told me it was worth it, she looks radiant and the cut is amazing!

DS: Thanks for sharing Kee! I haven’t lost hair due to having a baby, however, my hair is three different lengths. It’s chin length in the front, shoulder length in the middle, and armpit length in the back. I’ve had consistent trims during the last year. What’s your advice for trying the get the hair back one length? Is there an art to how it should be trimmed without cutting all of it one length one time?

Gloria A.: Her happiness was so infectious that I'm even laughing and grinning. What an Amazing job, as usual.

Em_I_Da_Drama: I did the same exact thing after having my son lol before too!(Not knowing I was expecting) it's just hair and it grows back fast!! A new look after a baby feels so so goodt, I did a tapper cut! She look amazing and so refreshed!

Danielle: I’m sorry I did skip through somewhat… but damn that style was waiting for her!!! She’s gorgeous with that style

jsrmommi 2: I love how you never stress you finished curls. Your styling is perfectly how I want to look leaving out the shop. Blessings, peace and prosperity to your journey. ❤

Dani Dani: I totally get her. There’s so many reasons why someone with long hair would want to cut it. Stress, breakage, and sometimes you just don’t want to deal with it! Long hair is nice until it’s wash day . Seriously though that’s why I never try to convince someone to keep their hair if they want to cut it. You don’t know what that person is going through, and even if you convince them not to do it now, they will eventually if they really want to.

Tara Clark: This was so awesome and brave of her. I get it....having a baby is exhausting in every aspect....even in our hair. So kudos to you and her. Both are beautiful . Great job

Chanrica Tanise: The feeling when all that weight gets chopped off is so exhilarating !!! I cut my hair to my shoulders every year and I feel free every single time ❤

L R: Beautiful lady, beautiful hair, and a beautiful act of donating the hair.

Mrs. Janell: This summer my daughter cut and combed out her waist length locs, that I put in and tended to for 6years. She came to me in tears and said she didn't want them anymore. I was hurt at first, but realized long hair is not apart of every woman's story, and that I needed to let her enter this phase of life on her own terms. It took two weeks to comb out, but she did it with a lot of care and respect. Now she has a beautiful little sun kissed afro, and she's glowing like never before. ❤️

J Ri: I chopped my hair off every time I had a kid. I feel you!

Pam Champion: Baby girl! Yes her hair looks so nice. You did a fantastic job as per usual ❤️

Jazzylocs: I saw the clip on IG and came straight over here! Thank you for reminding people that anyone can do what they want with their own hair. I truly cannot talk to people who insist that my hair choice is somehow bad for them

Gemini's Twin: I rocked a low cut for about 15 yrs..my hair is naturally curly so it wasn't a problem. But I loved loved my short cut...a man once said it takes a confident woman to rock a short natural style and he was trying to teach his daughter to embrace her natural hair...that made me feel good.

Tanya Reed: 10 - 20 years ago I get and understand why bw would've been up in arms about seeing women with long hair cut their hair. Especially since education on black hair wasn't what it was like it is today. Most lose texture hair like your client hair will grow at a fast pace even without protective styles.

S M Mickens Fleming: I appreciate your approach. Sticking to the basics and going through your process. And, as always, a beautiful finish!

Grisel Blanco-Garcia: Wow, that cut was beautiful. And you’re right, her smile was the best part. I can relate to that feeling, especially after becoming a new mom.

Ariana Byrd: Awww seeing her smile at the end made me sooo happy ☺️

Patti 1962: I know she feels like a new woman, with lots of energy! I know I went short after my first baby, and loved having less hair to deal with (especially with being so tired from lack of sleep!) And, it's only hair.... it will grow back!! And there is a child that will benefit as well. A WIN/WIN situation!!❤

Loleatta Grace: I love her hair it fits her so well and looks very healthy great job like always

Tifi Ayiti: Tell me why I smiled through the whole thing so much positivity.. Wanting to give others not just on your part by doing her hair but to those who doesn’t have hair (donating)… *Much Love From Chicago*

Kings Mom831: Love that she came to you! I think for many clients (including myself) it’s a bit scary or intimidating to have any kind of drastic change with our hair but when you go to someone good who really knows what they’re doing, it’s easier to embrace the change. Congratulations to the new mom!

Sehi Lan: I grew up in a remote village in Europe with literally zero access to black hair care and products, if not for the Internet. Black hairstylists in big cities were mostly braiders and they never knew what to do with my hair texture. They were especially rough and handled my hair as if it was a wig. Some even cut natural hair with razors as they did synthetic hair. I tried a few different places and always felt like crying afterwards. When I was 14 (some 10+ years ago), and didn't know where to even start with my natural hair, out of despair, I tried going to a white owned hair salon in a frequented commercial area. As soon as I entered, every customer's head whipped in my direction. The hairstylists seemed panicked and one of them soon rushed towards me. She gestured for me to go, saying that they couldn't do anything for me. My hair was in a bun, she did not even check my hair texture. Also, my hair isn't even that curly, more wurly like 2 b? Some white women sitting had curlier hair than mine ...The way they kept staring at me as if I were some alien creature deeply traumatized me and I didn't dare step in a hair salon for many years after that "unfortunate" experience. As a biracial woman with thick/long hair, I wish I could have grown up in a place that is a safe space for us melanin girls. A place with talented, caring, non-prejudiced hair professionals. I have been watching your videos for years and honestly, your clients are very lucky. ❤️

Shaya S: I love that she donated her beautiful hair! I donated 14 inches a couple years ago. Working on growing it out again. ❤️ Congrats on the new baby!

Leah: Love that she donated her hair. When I had my daughter I lost my hair at my temple (never to return...lol). Then when I went through chemotherapy and was totally bald BUT not gonna lie as it was growing back it was very freeing to wash and style quickly. Now I'm back to a ponytail (pretty much every day.....I know, I know, not good). BTW her hair looks amazing!!!

Sevi Regis: She has gorgeous hair. Her hormones are out of whack from having a baby boy, all that extra testosterone that’s produced during pregnancy. Once’s he’s been breast fed, her hormone balance should stabilize and her hair grow back. And also what you explained. Great job. She looks beautiful. You’re not only so talented but also very kind and understanding.

バナナ: I just had a postpartum cut too! From below my chest to just above my shoulders. It just needed to be DONE.

ronda allen: yup-when i was pregnant, i could feel the hair coiling out of my scalp. almost drove me bats. I bet this client felt so free after that cut!

Lamparium: Sometimes when I feel sad your vids are the only thing that calms me down. It's not just about the hair but how you & your clients spread gentleness and peace and kindness.

alexis hamilton: Your hands are truly blessed. Great tips for getting to healthy hair An abundance of love from the 215 queen✊

EH: Yay! Love to see a big chop! You go girl! All the best for your new baby ♥️

Keiana Johnson: I love how knowledgeable you are about postpartum and hair! You really eat, sleep, and breathe hair! Beautiful as always!✨

PurpleMoonShine: I lost my hair after having my child. It was coming out just from combing and running my fingers thru it. It hurt my feelings so bad. It feels so good to get your hair done after having a baby.

Monique Johnson: Her smile was EVERYTHING...gorgeous hair!

H Deniro: I’m going through postpartum shedding now and losing so much hair. I wanna cut it too fr!

Dare Jones: Personally I've been trying to get length on my hair for years now so yes seeing people cut their hair gets people feelings because they wish their hair could grow long too, that's all.

Denise Moore: My hair grew like this when I was pregnant! My doctor advised me to stay on my prenatal vitamins which help me. I did get a big chop and it grew right back. Funny when my stylist started cutting you would have thought time had stopped. Everybody paused!!! Somebody even commented that my husband was going to kill me. My response was, “he didn’t grow it!!!”

SHL1_mW 💙🧡: It's typical to lose a lot of hair after giving birth. It's not true hair lost. Doctors call it shedding when the body estrogen level fall below normal. Usually new baby hair start growing back after few months. Don't stressed out too much. It's just part of the process. Happens to all new moms.

MissMargaret: I remember when my hair was shedding after my youngest. Madness every shower pulling out clumps of hair. I went from bra strap length to a bob.

Kenya Butts: This was so amazing!!! I feel her. I do a big chop every couple of years. I have mid of my back length hair and she is really making me want to do a big chop now!!! you have magic hands, PERIODT!

Chellhouston: I’m natural and my hair was past my shoulder blades and one day I just got sick of it and cut my hair down to 1 inch…honestly I think it was 1/2 inch. It was AWESOME! I felt free and light AND I no longer had to reserve an entire day to wash my hair. I loved it. I say if you want to cut..cut it, it will grow back.

Lindsay Alberts: She's so happy as soon as you cut it! Love that

miya: Beautiful! I love a big chop! As women i think we wrap up too much of our identity in our hair (myself included). I can only imagine how much lighter and fresher this feels.
