"Journey of a 20-year-old, Lindie Botes"

Lindie Botes is a 20-year-old woman from South Africa, who has a pretty Korean name "Sinae." When she visited Korea for the first time in the winter of 2010, she became fascinated by its charm. To describe her unforgettable journey, she wrote an essay book that won the second prize at a contest entitled "I Love Korea," which was organized by the South Korean embassy in South Africa. The award also earned her a plane ticket to Korea.

In the summer of 2013, after a 17-hour flight, Lindie arrived in Korea to meet with her Korean pen pal and discover the hidden charm of Korea. The two friends have become close over the past two years by exchanging letters and photos on a social networking site. Together they made a bucket list of things to do.

Lindie wanted to get a trendy hairstyle in Korea and take sticker pictures with Hyo-jin. And Hyo-jin, for her part, wanted to show Lindie the Korean countryside. She decided to take Lindie, a city-dweller, to a village in Gokseong County, where her grandmother lives to show her the genuine charm of Korea represented by the scenic Seomjin River and steam train engines, which are hard to come by even in Korea these days. When Lindie visited the village, she was treated to a nutritious meal prepared by Hyo-jin's grandmother and tried her hand at plucking chili peppers, which are an essential ingredient in Korean cuisine.

Their journey, which transcended national boundaries and language barriers, will remind our viewers of the time when they were 20 and full of curiosity.

Welllll indian show did seem to have a very special relationship that transcends boundaries between South Africa and Korea, and they are exchanging letters and handwritten cards from the opposite sides of the planet. I mean that's pretty amazing. That is really cool. The other thing that's amazing, is Lindy's love for Korea and Korean culture. She must be a huge fan of Korean culture to to you, know, actually take the courage to come to Korea and try all these things. What were your thoughts on the video I loved? The liveliness in there and I sort of envied the possibility of young people today to actually travel that far right. When I came to Korea first time it took five days to get here, can you imagine how are they by planes various planes? Oh yeah elements. There are many interesting and exciting places in Korea like this one. It takes just a couple of minutes to capture and print out special memories. Hyojin'S hometown gwangju is famous for its delicious food. The cookie was the Korean foot a crepe the most when I was in South Africa Jochen recommended that I tried book walking cream sauce, because the original flavor would be too spicy for me. No, that money meal, this one tastes a lot like pasta, it's not spicy at all. So it's easy for me to eat, there's some bacon and some seafood inside. So it's a nice mix of flavors. That sounds really spicy, so I currently eat that. I'M not used to spicy food

lasol: strange... The south african sounds american. Also for most foreigners dukkbokki isnt too spicy it is very unhealthy though
