Straightening Hair With A Flex Hold Hairspray : Hair Styling Tips

Hi i'm t cooper, i'm a new york city, makeup, artist, hairstylist and co-founder of beauty and grooming company metro. Look today we're going to talk about how to straighten your hair with a flexible hold hairspray. This is one of my very very favorite flexible hold hairspray. It'S very lightweight, it has a brushable hold and also reinforces the straightening. Typically, i don't straighten hair that way, but you can do it and i'll show you how to do it so for this you're going to need a fine-tooth comb, but i would first if your hair is a little bit tangled, go through it with a wide tooth Comb, so i'm going to take a section of hair that i want to straighten i'm going to comb through it just to make sure there are no tangles in the hair, because if you comb hair with a small tooth comb and there's tangles, you can actually rip The hair out so then, i'm going to go in with my flexible, hold hairspray just a little spray, nothing crazy! Then i'm going to go in again and i'm going to comb throughout the hair just to make sure the product is distributed evenly. So now i'm going to grab my flat iron. Some of you may refer to this as a straightener and then i'm going to take my small tooth comb and i'm just going to hold it here, because that creates some tension from the hair and it also smooths through it. So it's easier for you to straighten and you just run it on down to the tip and if you want to, you can go over it. One more time which i usually like to do. I like to go over it twice, just to make sure you slide on down, and you see how smooth and straight that section is and because you used a nice flexible, hold hairspray, even though you sprayed it, you can run a small tooth comb right through there.
