Jvn Hair Styler'S Set! Let'S Talk About Our Hair!

Hello princesses and welcome back to not fit for print Beauty with me Rebecca today. I want to talk to you about some new hair products that I'm excited to have tried. It is the stylers set from jvn hair and, to be honest with you trying out this set could not have been timed any better, because I really owe you all a hair video. You see if you've been with my channel for a while. You have definitely seen me try out different styles on my hair, and you know. I'Ve reviewed all the different dryers and the curling irons and curling wands and all the things and Dyson and all that stuff, and I definitely like to play with it being wavy or straight. But behind the scenes we've had some changes and I don't quite know what they are, but my hair has been wanting to go really really wavy lately and when I have been fighting it and styling it straight like I've done for most of my life, it is Now, starting to fight back - and it's not looking as good and my hair stylist Gladys, who I talk about sometimes said to me: yeah, it's just not working, I think it's getting wavier and wavier and you have to stop fighting it. So that is why, generally you are seeing my hair wavy now there are still some mornings uh. When I get out of the shower or wake up, I don't wash my hair every day, um, where it just wants to go completely straight, and then I just go with it, but for the most part it gets wavier every year and um. I am trying to work with it trying some days that's easier than others, but it's like having another job, and those of you with wavy or curly hair can definitely identify with the fact that wavy or curly hair is its own, its own ordeal. So when JV and hair sent over this Styler set, I was like you must have seen my bat signal in the sky. You must have heard my distress because, though the jbn hair, all of their products are great for straight or curly. I was really interested in this particular set because I kind of need that styling, so I thought I would try it out. Uh spoiler alert. I love it and talk to you about it and all of this stuff. So you guys know. Jbn is Jonathan Van Ness right, who we know most of us know from queer eye on TV, but you know Jonathan is also a best-selling author he's a stand-up comedian. If you didn't know that a hairdresser, a style, Guru and an all-around, really helpful individual, so um with this jvn line, we have all sorts of different styling products and all sorts of it cool ingredients, including a patented Hemi squalene, which is actually even better than regular. Then regular, silicone or squalene for moisturizing and reducing damage and Jonathan Van Ness is also very much into reducing any sort of frizz or other problems uh within the hair follicles, and when I heard what no frizz, I have tremendous problems with frizz. So I could not wait to try this out um, not even for review. I was very eager to try this out just for me, but obviously I'm going to share it with you and I thank jvn, the team for sending this over to me. So, let's talk about this Styler set I'll, tell you how I used it and even show you some not so flattering images of me using it. Okay, so this Styler set is um. I have a code by the way which I'm putting on the screen for 20 off, because usually this is uh. So it includes three different products and we're going to talk about them and uh. This is a result of using them just today, a few hours ago, which I'm going to actually show you. In a moment. We have uh the trio of best sellers that smooth Prime and fight frizz. We have the pre-wash scalp oil that I'm going to show you how to use the complete instant recovery heat protectant that I'm going to show you how to use, and this really cool Complete air dry. I used it with a diffuser, so you don't have to air dry, but I do lately mostly air dry, so anyway we're going to talk about it and look at the uh. This tube comes with you guys. This is so cute. There'S like a little key here - and you can put it through when, when this product is about to be used up, you can put it through and then roll it over it, and so you get every drop of this out, which is super super smart, very thoughtful. Okay, so I'm going to show you what I did so what I do now you guys I used to wash my hair air dry, it a little a bit blow dry, it and straighten it, and it's just started looking like a block on my head because it Wants to go wavy, oh I've stopped fighting, it there's no hope really um. So this, like I said, came in the nick of time. The first thing is this: incredibly cool pre-wash scalp oil. Now, on its own, this was this would sell for 29 and I do have a link below if you want to just get this - and I believe you can still use my code on screen. So this has neem oil to soothe and basil root extract which really helps with hair loss. I don't know if you guys are anything like me, I'm very lucky, and that I have super thick hair. I don't have thinning hair, thank goodness, but it falls out an awful lot. It does. You know it's on the back of my sweater or shirt a lot and when I brush it out of the shower, it doesn't want to fall out. So this is really nice. I want to show you me using this this morning and, as you can see, I'm just going to part my hair and put it every everywhere that I can and then kind of massage it into the scalp and through the hair. So you got ta and this will restore and fortify the follicles and it just feels really nice and it's a really beautiful scent to it too. I don't like a lot of scents if it's really Botanical or Patchouli smelling. I won't like it, and this has like a really gosh a really nice fresh scent to it. That'S just it smells good. It smells clean and nice without being floral. It'S just really almost invigorating. It'S really a nice scent, so you can see that I put it on my hair and I put a little bit more on when I wasn't on camera, because I do have very thick hair. I just kind of parted, my hair, wherever I could put it in there and then just kind of rubbed it in and then put it on the rest of the hair and let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes and then just go ahead and shampoo And condition as usual and this, if you use that once a week, it's just really good for the scalp and for just kind of keeping the hair healthy as it grows in at the scalp level. Okay, let's talk about afterwards, so afterwards I always get out of the shower, and I've tried everything now, because I'm new to just kind of letting my hair go curly and letting it roll the roost, um, and so I've tried everything from t-shirt drawing you know, we've All seen them suggest that to towel drying to just plain old air drying um, now I just kind of gently towel it brush through it kind of still in the shower and then let it kind of mostly air dry and this jvn complete uh. This is really good this, this complete instant recovery. Is it's really a hair protectant that works on every different kind of hair, whether your hair is Curly Straight, coarse or thin, it doesn't really matter. It protects the hair with niacinamide and we're really familiar with niacinamide uh from Skin Care ingredients, of course, but this also has charged lemon protein all right. So here I am putting it through my hair. This protects our hair from from the diffuser which I'm going to use, but also flat, irons, which I do sometimes still use. Curling irons blow dryers, so you're going to comb through this and then normally you can go ahead and heat style. It'S going to also just kind of it protects ever. It just protects the hair from everything without getting kind of crunchy or gross and just makes the hair super super soft. But I didn't stop there because I wanted to use the whole Trio - and I was most excited about this particular product here. This is the Complete air dry cream. Now, where, by the way the instant recovery was 29, I told you the scalp. Oil is 29. If you buy them separately and this little guy is 26 and it's a really cool this is this is a really Innovative product and I think jbn hair is really getting known for this. This is kind of like a a gel hold, but it's really soft and it controls frizz what um and you could you can use it and then just air dry, your hair um. I went ahead and used the diffuser a little bit here. I am using it and you see just kind of put it into the hair and distribute it from the middle to the ends of the hair and then, like I said, kind of scrunch your hair up. I use a diffuser, but you can also air dry. It is called the air dry cream um, but it says it works for the diffuser as well, and I don't use my diffuser very much. I use my diffuser that um in the video that's a poor demonstration. I wanted you to be able to see. I did the rest of it off camera because I I bend over a lot lower than my camera would pick up um, but so I do know how to use a diffuser. That was a poor display there. Sorry about that, but basically I just use a diffuser. Just for a little bit - and I just let it until it's about two-thirds dry, a little less than two-thirds dry and then this is just air dried. And then I take a few pieces in the front that are always stick straight and I just wind those around um a curling wand. If you are a wizard or a magician, you can curl them with a straightener. I still cannot figure that out I mean I can I do one piece with my straightener and it looks great and then the next piece just straightens it. So it is a Wizardry that I am of which I've not I'm not familiar, but this works great. So here's the deal my hair right now is holding the curl and I can feel the hold, but it's soft um. I am one of these people. I'Ve had trouble having wavy hair in the past. You guys, I don't like the feeling of product in my hair. I don't want to touch my hair and have it be crunchy or have it start to feel greasy? My hair feels super super clean, really touchable, really movable, but it's really kind of holding its own wave and then I added one or two curls with a curling wand and it's holding those as well and I'm feeling really confident and happy with it.
