Hi, everyone and hair stylist Amanda Shackleton from Amanda Shackleton, calm and I'm here today to tell you how to start building a hairstyling portfolio if you're a hair, stylist and you're interested in possibly getting into the fashion industry. It'S really really important that you have a portfolio. So that you're able to show your clients what you can and cannot do with hair. The first thing you want to do is get a model, someone that has really beautiful hair that you can start working with, and then you want to find a photographer, whether it's a student photographer or whether it's a local wedding, photographer or just really anyone that's interested In taking pictures with you and you're also going to want to get a makeup artist and the four of you can come together and start working on pictures for your book now, that's called testing so you're gon na want to do some testing for your portfolio and Then, once you start building pictures and building different looks of hairstyles that you do, you can then start putting your portfolio together. You can either get a hardcopy book from the or art store, which is just like a book with plastic pages in it that you can put your prints in or you can do. Alternatively, your portfolio online, which is just you know, on your website and you can just scroll through all of your pictures.
