Graduating Cosmetology School + My First Job As A Hair Stylist

I'M alive, I am so sick of doing this. I literally will be gone from YouTube for months at a time, and then I feel like every vlog that I post is like an update. I just have so much to catch up on those of you who aren't new know that I was in cosmetology school for almost an entire year and it was very demanding of my time. I was full-time Monday through Friday and then I was working part-time after school and like on weekends and stuff. So I really had no time to vlog. I was very much on the go to because my school was an hour away from home and so I'd always be back and forth, and I just didn't have a lot of time like I would vlog here and there. But I just didn't have time to like sit at home at my computer and edit and like be posting on YouTube, but I was watching a whole bunch of vlogs the other night and I was like [ __ ]. I miss making YouTube videos like I miss it so much so now that I'm done with school, which okay hold on hold on before I get ahead of myself, let's rewind a little bit because I have footage from like two months ago. We need to get caught up before I start talking. Am I even focused okay, so yeah, let's rewind to like February? Yes, oh my god, it feels so weird vlogging. I haven't done it in a hot minute, but yeah I'm done with school guys. This is so crazy, so if you've been watching me for a while, I have been wanting to go to cosmetology school forever and it's just so crazy, like this was such a long time in the making, and I can't believe that, like I went, I did it And now I'm done anyway. Let me update you guys a little bit because it's been so long, so I was assisting a difference Ilan before, while I was still in school, but now I got another job at a different one and I'm going to be assisting and also working as a stylist. There I think I had mentioned in like my last vlog, that the last like two months or so of school, I was just out like on the salon floor, just taking clients every single day like a regular stylist. Pretty much teachers are obviously there to help you, but I wasn't like in the classroom or anything like that, like I basically I was just doing hair all the time, but now it's going to be really cool, doing it actually getting paid for it and like having My own clients is going to be a bit so cool, I'm just so excited that, like the time has finally come, I'm finally doing it and I'm really excited because the salon that I'm gon na be working at their clientele is like very diverse, but just good. Like that's what I was really looking for, I feel like in cosmetology school. I didn't really get enough experience and practice doing ethnic hair, so I really want to learn more. I don't want to ever feel, like you know, there's someone's hair type that I'm not comfortable doing or I don't really know how to do like. I want to feel fully confident doing any type of hair. You know what I'm saying so I feel like I'm gon na really get that type of experience and education from the salon that I'm gon na be at so I'm excited good morning. So it is almost two full weeks now, since I've been graduated from school time. Just flies by seriously. This is why I haven't put up a video in so goddamn long because the weeks just fly by before I know it it's been months but anyway, so I got a job at a salon pretty close to where I was going to school and I've been working There as a full-time stylist and then during the times like when I don't have clients, I am helping out an assisting, so I'm kind of like an assistant, slash stylist. But it's been really good because they are super busy there and they get a lot of walk-ins and like random, Collins and stuff. So I've actually been pretty busy and getting a decent amount of my own clients to work on which is so exciting. When we just learnt on the hallway real, quick, so yeah, I've been working on my own clients, I've already done like a few colors a couple haircuts and I'm learning a lot which is really nice. The clientele there is like very, very diverse and we get people that come in with like all different hair types and one of the other new stylists there. He like really specializes in doing like weaves and braids, and wigs and stuff like that, and it's just been really fun getting so much exposure to different things or just learning different things and like I've discovered. That, like is some of the things that I know as far as color goes, is like new information to some of the other stylists there. So I've even been able to like share information and teach people things and like little tips and tricks and stuff which is like really exciting and honestly, like one of the best parts about it. Is that I'm not working regular, like 9:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday hours, which I really enjoy? I only work. The salon is only open four days a week, which is pretty cool and then I get to just basically make my own hours, so I've just been going in at 11:00 every day, and then I just leave like you know, whenever we're done at the end of The night usually like around 6 or 7 o'clock, we're done, which, since you dad so far, I am so [ __ ] happy for all of you who found me and I've been following me because of my whole cosmetology journey and have been telling me that, like You'Re going to school too, or thinking of going, I'm honestly could like, I don't think I've ever been happier in my whole life like I feel like I finally just did what I was meant to always do. I can't believe that, like I'm. Finally, here, like I went to cosmetology school, I graduated like I'm doing it, I'm a hairstylist. It'S so funny. I had a girl pleasure doing her hair yesterday she was saying something to me about like she had in her color at home, and she was like. You know yeah, like you know, I'm not a hairstylist, and I want I almost wanted to say like girl me neither, but then I was like me. Yes, I am, I think, with hair psychologist. I don't know it's just weird, like it hasn't sunk in yet cuz. I'Ve been doing hair, obviously for like years now, and it's just crazy, like I'm a professional now and like I'm, actually doing this, like I'm pursuing this as my career and I'm getting up every day and like this is my job and I'm making money doing this. But anyway I wanted to vlog today because it is a Saturday it's gon na be a busier day. I, like I said I usually go in at 11, but I'm going in an hour early today and then after work tonight, I'm going to my friend Julia's house she's, having a galentine's Day party, even though I know Valentine's Day was already like two weeks ago now. It'Ll just be fun because I'm gon na hang out with, like all the girls that I went to school with, and I haven't seen them now in a few weeks and then tomorrow morning Julia actually works at European Wax Center. Now so I'm gon na go and get a Brazilian wax by her tomorrow morning. So I will vlog that as well, gon na go got ta get to work, everyone! Oh my god. I don't win this much since we graduated my lipstick, hmm. I suppose wine on myself already hey just here to me - look who's over there. She wants more hi Bree, Oh bring it over here. I'Ll put some in when your daughter tells you she wishes. You didn't exist when you're sitting there after some nasty sex, wonder you still so that European wax Center, where I supposed to record in here, but I'm about to get a Brazilian or friendships about to forever change. Also, a lie told already. I, like still kind of have my period a little bit. Yes, I going in. I would like try to be clean for you, but I mean there's only anything there but like like okay, maybe that's TMI, okay! So after that last clip that you just saw my camera died and it's been sitting in my car dead since then so um yeah, I didn't get to record any of like you know, getting wax. So I've been doing Brazilian waxes every month now for almost an entire year June will make a year now. So if you guys want, I actually was supposed to go back to Julia and she's, been doing my waxes. Now, the last like two or three times, I want to say she's, like my best friend from cosmetology school, so yeah having her waxing for the first time and like seeing everything cuz like I'm Brazilian bikini wax for those of you don't know like you literally, are Waxing everything off down there like front back everything so and I don't mind like I'm, not try, I don't care, but it is a little weird having your friend see you like that up close and personal, but I'm due for another wax very soon. You know a little bit more. If you know you're curious or want to know a little bit about that, so yeah back to getting all caught up, I really miss vlogging and I really want to get back into it and now that I'm not so busy and my schedule is, you know as Full as it was when I was in school, I have more time to do it and I feel like I'm slowly kind of getting my life together, like I finally cleaned and organized my room and like I've just got caught up on everything that I've been putting Off so now, I've just been like feeling Rhian spired, to do you to begin, and I have some exciting changes coming very soon. That will be contributing to my channel and I just have like so many ideas of videos that I want to do like different hairstyle. Tutorials, more hair, coloring tutorials, because I know a lot of people love seeing my stuff and I just couldn't really record anything. I was doing in school so now that I'm doing it in a salon. I want to record more stuff like more tutorials and just more vlogging and just show you like what's going on and the stuff I'm doing, also by the way I cut my hair super short, it was more so out of necessity, if you saw it a couple. Vlogs ago my hair was like platinum, I can't speak platinum blonde and it was just like starting to get really thin in the front and my ends were just looking like very thin and stringing in like just not as full and healthy as I would like. So I had to kind of cut the front short. I cut some bangs which I'm like growing out now and I had to cut like some layers and now it's like a lot, fuller and healthier, looking oh yeah and I'm finally getting back into the gym. This morning. I went to the gym for the first time since the end of January yep uh-huh. I feel I actually weighed myself this morning too, and I did gain like 5 pounds since the summer when I was like at my lowest weight. I was at 143 now. I'M back at 148, but whatever it's fine, I'm getting back into my groove and now that the weather should hopefully be getting warmer soon. I just feel like I'm starting to kind of feel more. Like myself and more motivated, I was kind of a little bit in a rut for a while. So I want you guys to comment down below and let me know what kind of videos you'd like to see. Do you want to see specifically also, I think my next video is going to be like a cosmetology school Q & A I'll kind of share, like my whole story from the beginning and then answer any questions you have specifically either about, like you know the school That I specifically went to, or just more specifically about the things I learned, I don't know any questions that you have at all about cosmetology school leave those down below in this video, and then I will answer them in that next, video, oh and one last thing.
