Hey everyone, so in today's video we are talking Best of Beauty 2022, and actually these are more of my Dark Horse favorites. So I have hair care, skincare and fragrance, and let me tell you as much as I absolutely love makeup. These products keep the train rolling. These are some uh favorites that I don't talk about as much, but I have been loving for the entire year. They are pretty freaking bomb um I'll leave all of the favorites that I have down below for you guys, but I already know that this video is going to be a long one. So I think we should just jump in. I first want to start off with skincare uh. This is actually a body care item um that is so underrated. It is the High Roller from topicals and it's their ingrown hair tonic now this year. For some reason, I started getting a pretty bad razor burn on my armpits. This is really the only thing that was able to keep things smooth um. I did it's just like like a roller applicator and essentially you just roll it on under your armpits or wherever you do have razor burn and it really takes care of it in like two uses um, I have just found that the application is super easy also. It does a really good job of kind of acting as a chemical exfoliant that helps with odor. So I use this in place of deodorant a lot of times. It has salicylic acid, glycolic, acid, niacinamide and zinc PCA. It'S just a really solid good formula. I used it all the time and I'm not even halfway done with it. So this is a really great one. I had to give this one a shout out. Sunscreen is so important, two major sunscreens one I'm actually out of so I don't have the bottle, but my top sunscreen this year was from essentry the hyaluronic acid watery Sun gel SPF 50.. It is just such an easy, easy sunscreen it Blends into the skin like that very, very lightweight ocean. It'S not mattifying, but it's not really glowy, so it just. I feel like it's going to work for so many people never stings my eyes. Um really just lies very closely on the skin. Again it's if it's hydrating, but it's not like a super moisturizing product necessarily and it's just my fave. It is um a chemical filter, sunscreen again SPF 50, absolutely zero white cast. Also, if you can hear there's a lot of rain happening outside so I apologize but yeah it's just it's the best. I absolutely love it and have repurchased now. My other favorite sunscreen is the mermaid skin gel from can make um that's in Japanese sunscreen. That is my other favorite. If I want something a little bit more glowy, I will go with that sunscreen. Also by the way, it's not greasy doesn't sting. My eyes again sits very closely on the skin depends on what I want. If I want something just an all-around kind of no fuss sunscreen, that is so consistently beautiful, it's probably this one, but if I want a little bit of a glow, almost like a primer step, then I'll go with the can make and that one is absolutely beautiful. I need to make a note to repurchase it actually next up um Peace Out, Acne pouches. I have talked about these a lot recently, but I got ta tell you that not all acne patches are created equal you guys. These ones in specific are quite thick, so they do a really good job. If you have a lot of Gunk inside one pour, it will keep sucking out as much as they can fit on this patch and a lot of patches reach Max Capacity uh pretty quickly, and this one does not. It also sticks where you put it, because there are some patches that I just feel like any little movement of your face. It freaking comes off. These are consistently my top favorite acne patches, and I certainly need in my routine, to always have these on hand. They also did release their new um day patches, which are a slightly thinner version that you can wear during the daytime, potentially um. I would love to try those out, but for now these are are my top wreck. Let'S talk a little snail mucin shall we so feel like uh peach slices definitely had their moment this year, um the first product I had tried from them. Was this mask and I hadn't realized that it actually was going viral on Tick Tock. I picked this up on a whim. Actually, this is completely or maybe one more application. I can get out of this. It'S the snail rescue intensive, wash off mask this texture is pretty insane. It'S kind of it kind of feels like a whipped, gel um, very interesting. It'S really really good at soothing the skin without adding a lot of extra moisture and that's what I think is so beautiful about snail mucin is it's just such a hydrating product, but it works for so many different skin types, because it's not one of those products. That'S going to add too much moisture or too much hydration to the skin and potentially like clog the pores. So I really like it because it soothes a lot of my redness. It just gets my skin back to a very stable space. It does a good job of brightening and taking down redness again, and I just love this mask too, because I feel, like my skin, just always looks more awake and just refreshed after I use this. So I've bought this multiple times this year and I absolutely love it. I also love the snail Rescue all in one deep, moisture cream. Almost out of this one. It'S just a really good lightweight moisturizer. I don't recommend this necessarily for the winter if you have dry skin like me, but it is a very, very good snail mucin moisturizer. It does a great job of hydrating, the skin wears beautifully under makeup and in general, just a very lightweight product. I have tried the snail rescue, uh toner from Peach slices, but personally I got ta hand it to cosrx. I prefer the texture of this. It'S a little bit thicker. I just find that I get more hydration out of this formula than I do with the peach slices. But if you'd like a very, very lightweight toner, potentially go with the one from Peach slices rather than the causer Rex. But the causer Rex has been a staple in my routine uh four years you can go and check out some of my older videos and you'll see me raving about it. I'Ve loved it for a long time. Continuing on speaking of toners, the essentry green tea, fresh toner was definitely one that I liked it did a good job of just keeping my skin again very balanced, especially back in the summer. I just find that anything with green tea is very soothing to me beautiful color, by the way, not that, like that, really matters necessarily, but like look at that color. Oh my gosh, it's a very like. Obviously it's not a fragrance! It just has that like fresh kind of tannin smell that feels very like spa-like to me, this was definitely a good one. If you're looking for a toner to really balance out your skin, I feel like especially acne prone skin will really like this. It just did really well with um, like congestion, redness, very calming um, and I love calming skincare products in general. Next, we have my tretinoin. This is my dramatica prescription. This isn't sponsored, but I did work with them this year I started tretinoin back in July um and I finally have gotten the hang of it. Um. It'S just one of those gold standard ingredients. You know what I mean: you're really going to get a science backed results when you go with tretinoin rather than an over-the-counter retinol, but it's not as easily uh tolerated in some circumstances. So, that's why all the other products I'm talking about are so important, like using a very good sunscreen, consistently a really good moisturizer before you put on tretinoin, that's the key. I I always sandwich my tretinoin, so moisturizer Shred know when moisturizer back on top, and that has really been why I haven't experienced a ton of flaking um getting back on tretinoin. I do still have a code with them to get your first month free. If you guys are interested in starting tretinoin but yeah, I as far as results, I've just seen like incredible poor refining, like especially in here in general, just like a refinement and brightness of my skin. It'S just good at like prevention, especially with wrinkles. I mean I have very expressive: uh eyebrows and I've just found that none of the fine lines on my forehead have continued to progress, which, for me, is a freaking win in my book. I know I have more skincare, so one skincare um tool that I've been using. Is this bad boy? Oh just cut that on my face, it's the pure daily care um. I wish I could turn this on so that you guys could see, but actually do I have a plug here. I'M sure some of you might have seen this. It kind of looks like those things. You know those things that um, like those globes, that used to touch as a kid and like it would have the lines coming out of it. I'Ll leave a picture. If I, if anyone knows what I'm talking about - but this is essentially I like to use this on acne spots - um, this device does a good job of here. I'M going to turn this off because I feel like it's going to get annoying. It has a bunch of attachments, it has attachments for the scalp. It has attachments um for, like all over the face. This one in specific is for uh pinpointing pimples, but it actually helps to kill acne causing uh bacteria, which is why I like to use it on my pimples. I find that they heal faster when I use that it apparently like oxygenates the skin um, which helps the skin to repair uh more easily, and actually I got ta tell you. I used to use this Peter Thomas Roth, um oxygenating face mask it's been so long since I used that product, but but that helped so much with my breakouts. So it's not surprising to me that this has worked with them to like heal them, faster, though I will say just like randomly, if you guys no of any more oxygenating products like serum Skin Care in general, that you could recommend to me. Let me know, and lastly, yeah - I think we're gon na wrap up skincare with the last product, which is from beauty, pies, the Uber youth neck and chest serum spray. So this is essentially um like a niacinamide lifting spray. It does a really good job of just hydrating my neck and chest uh neck and chest is often so neglected and when I have this in my routine, it's just so easy to spray all over and like take better care of my neck and chest just because It often for me, like it, gets overlooked doing a spray serum like this has really helped me, and I've noticed that um the lines um like my cleavage lines have definitely improved and in general it just keeps that whole area Tighter and more hydrated. The before and afters that I saw all on PewDiePie's site uh. Looking at this, I was like dang. I got ta try that, but I didn't expect to actually see um those results you do have to use it consistently to keep the results, but I have no problem because it's so freaking easy and actually last I forgot one last product uh that I wanted to Talk about because I don't have it in front of me - lip balm either the one from Too Faced The Hangover, RX lip balms or the lineage lip sleeping mask. Those were like my two main faves of the year I got to buy. The Too Faced came out with like a like a mini set of three of their lip balms, and I want to pick it up. So I have one by my bed in the bathroom and either in my purse or in my car, because it is essentially like the lineage lip sleeping mask, except it comes with a doe foot applicator, which just makes it so easy to reapply and make sure that You'Re applying it and getting some moisture on your lips again, I like, for my routines to be very fast and be able to be consistent with them, so those little hack, hack products or easy products are really important to me. Next, let's talk about some fragrons here. We are here are my top fragrances of the Year number one, and this isn't a surprise. This is like this and one other fragrance or like my signature fragrances, but it's Dior, hypnotic poison. I'Ve described it before it is like a root. Beer float delicious, seductive so sweet, but because it has that kind of fizzy, spicy root beer, note it kind of cuts through the sweetness. Also, it's a little bit like My Little Pony. If you guys know what My Little Pony smell like it's like root beer with My Little Pony, I know that sounds kind of random, but it is beautiful. I absolutely love it um. I highly recommend even just checking out the rollerball, because the rollerball applicator yeah, like the tube, is freaking gorgeous. I mean like this is the typical one right, but that one is like so freaking Luxe. I also just love. I love this perfume bottle in general. You guys it is a favorite. I consistently recommend it um for those of you that really like a warm uh sweet smell that is pretty unique um because it's not like you know, sprinkles kind of sweet. It'S like a seductive Suite that doesn't lean super vanilla um again it has that, like fizzy root, beer kind of thing going on, I mean there is some vanilla in it honestly, but like a little bit of that, Jasmine really cuts through it. Oh, it's delicious highly highly highly highly highly recommend this one and my other signature is missing a person from Fleur. Ever since I tried this uh, I was just absolutely absolutely blown away. I pretty much use this more now than glossy Au um. I just prefer this. I feel like this to me it's just like that perfect sexy skin smell, so they say it's skin, musk, Bergamot, nectar and blonde wood. But to me it just smells like warm laundry like a sexy lived in cuddly smell. That is so freaking perfect and I I love white Musk personally, and this is definitely white musk forward. But to me it definitely stands out from the other white musk fragrances that I've tried in the past and I think it's because it has a little bit of Bergamot um to it. It is really something special. I have not been able to stop wearing it, and you also only need a little bit, which I like definitely my new favorite fragrance that I found this year, but very close second, is dead, cool, taunt um. I absolutely love dead, cool ton. It is way more like comparatively to missing person, it's way more vanilla forward, but I also find that this smells like skin to me. Um. It does have a little bit of Bergamot in it as well, so it it almost has this kind of um. Just this touch of acidity that really again it like cuts through that Amber and vanilla note. This is like elevated, vanilla fragrance to me. It doesn't even necessarily smell vanilla right away to me. It just smells like really warm and sexy. I think, if you're ready to graduate from like um a typical vanilla fragrance, this is definitely where I would start just this Ambry deliciousness, but it's not overwhelming, like overpowering um, something I should say about all the my fragrance picks. I easily get headaches from fragrance. So all of these don't trigger that. For me. Obviously I can't say 100 sure that it's not going to do that for you, if you're more sensitive like me, but um, this one does not so so good uh one more from Deadpool. I also picked up the milk, and I just got a small one of this, because this is more of a layering fragrance um. I have to tell you that if you are someone that doesn't really typically wear fragrance, you just want to smell a little bit better. Like it's not going to even translate necessarily as a fragrance, this is milk from Deadpool is like that is this. It really just smells like Yuba, better, it's so soft, and it definitely has this kind of creamy milk note to it. It'S even softer than like um. Juliet has a gun softer than like glossier use softer than a missing person, which typically a lot of people describe as like your skin, but better. If missing person is like no makeup makeup. Milk is like a tinted SPF. This is a skin tint and this is like just tinted SPF, it's even more natural um, but it's really good as a layering fragrance as well. So I just can't recommend this one enough, one that I don't have, because I gave it to my sister. She just loved it, and obviously I have a lot of fragrances, so I wanted to treat her but I'll probably pick it back up. Um, it's vacation. The vacation scent that uh scent for me was the scent of the summer. It is the perfect sunscreen coconut smell that isn't too overwhelmingly like childy coconut. If that makes sense, it's the perfect balance, because it also has kind of like a fresh, um kind of acidic pineapple thing going on with it too. What did they describe it as yet? They have the heart notes are like banana and pineapple base notes are pool water, sea salt, swimsuit Lycra, it's just the best. If you want to smell like that kind of classic being a kid again, sunscreen smell, just elevated, it's one of the best. I'Ve tried, obviously now's, not the exact time of the year, for a fragrance like that, but um. I would literally wear it all year round because I just love it so much, but this time of year, uh. Of course, I always pull back out uh by the fireplace um. It is just it's a classic for a reason, so many folks love it because it is just like it's just that ultra sexy chestnut roasting on an open fire, marshmallow burnt, deliciousness um - and I have just found that, like with super super witty fragrances, they get too Woody for me - and they can kind of make me feel - I don't know like they just don't get along with me, but this one is the perfect mix of sweet and Woody it's a favorite for so many just they really hit it out of the park. With this one - and I always go back to it, I actually had my travel size that I did give to my sister that she wears all the time now and she has fallen in love with it. I think that's all the fragrance, I'm probably missing something. Let'S get into hair, shall we um? Let'S first start off with the K18 leave-in molecular Hair Repair Mask um, so this actually works to repair the Keratin chains within the hair shaft. I have found that using this consistently has really helped to strengthen my hair. I think that it works better than olaplex. In my opinion, though, I do still really like olaplex, but also I just find that this is a really easy product. All you have to do is wash your hair get out of the shower. Put one pump of this into your entire head of hair and you just go on and like heat style as normal. Let Your Hair air dry, and it's none of this like waiting game that you have to do with olaplex. So I think for like a very fast paced kind of Lifestyle, where you still want to do a good job, maintaining your hair Health. That is what I think makes this really special again shampoo one pump of this and you're out the door. So I really really like that about this um. This is expensive, but again you really only need one pump. I'Ve done like one and a half pumps sometimes - and it's been like two months much. This is a rich product, but it is a good one and I have noticed results with it. More hair care, oh a product that I really got into this year, was the Color Wow Dream Coat this to me. I like to think of this as like the ultimate raincoat for your hair. It leaves your hair, so freaking shiny um. It works as a heat protectant as well, but to me what what it does is that it just coats every hair and makes it just humidity proof and very shiny. So for those of you like it coming up into the next year, especially if you're in a humid climate, I would highly recommend checking this out. I have found that my hair looks Ultra Ultra shiny and if I know it's going to be raining - and I can kind of time it out well, I will use this all over my hair heat style, because this is activated by heat and then I'm good to Go and it's just it's a freaking Beauty, beautiful product. The hype is worth it with this one or the hype is real. You know what I mean shampoo um, so I don't have a conditioner, I'm still trying to find my perfect conditioner. So I didn't want to really recommend one until I found like oh, like this one's really really perfect for me um, but the way detox, shampoo um. I have been using this consistently to make sure that I'm really not getting any uh buildup in my hair and it works really well at getting all of that buildup off and it's great for the scalp. It'S definitely a good one. I used it a few times and I was like I don't know how I feel about it, but as I've continued to use it, it is a very good one, really good too, if like you're on like a week of no washing your hair, and you want To make sure you get a fresh wash, I'm I'm picking this one up and using it. Of course, I feel like I have to talk about the Dyson air wrap, because I am now on a full year of having this. In my life, this is is very hairy. It'S still what I use mainly to do my hair. I really use it almost every single week. For me, I think it's worth the investment, and now that Dyson has the air wrap styler with the FlyAway attachment I've used. My sister's Dyson um the blow dryer and that a Flyway attachment is freaking. I mean it is innovative. It takes away every fly away, it's like kind of freaking crazy, but the fact that now the new one has that Flyway attachment I'm like damn. I wish I could try it for myself, but again I love using um the roller attachment for like a great blowout, but I typically like to blow dry um my hair, to make sure I don't have too much um extra moisture and then I just curl my Entire head with the curler I put in a little bit of mousse just to hold the curl a little bit and then, by the next day I sometimes don't even like, if I'm in a pinch I'll, obviously like brush out my hair, but by the next day. They'Ve Fallen just a little bit to like this kind of perfect, like soft kind of wave that I really like. If you guys want to know how I do my hair in general, with the air wrap I'll leave my tutorial down below. But it's been worth the hype for me: oh crap, I have a skincare product. I didn't talk about the Wonder, Beauty baggage, slam, eye masks these like look no further. These are the absolute best that I've ever tried for de-puffing for redness um for just chapped under eyes. Um really like. I can't even overstate how freaking good these are honestly having a good eye mask is kind of underrated. In my opinion, like just like with a good acne, pimple patch really can turn a day around like it can turn a bad under eye skin day around like that great at de-puffing, great, at feeling really hydrating under the eyes and sticking like you can still go About your daily life um, without these slipping and falling so freaking beautiful, beautiful product - Oh my gosh, I have another skincare product. I forgot to talk about. So let's talk about that really fast and then we'll go back into my last hair product. This was a wreck from um Abby young. It is the Neutrogena body, oil light Sesame formula, and this is the fragrance free one such a good oil cleanser for your face. It gets off. All of my makeup, like that. I mean this whole thing I think, is around twelve dollars the fact that you get so much and it's so effective and you could also double it as like, an actual Body Oil. I highly highly recommend it. It'S very. You know it's like a stripped down formula. Obviously, if you're allergic to Sesame - like don't use this, because this does have sesame oil in it, it doesn't smell like sesame oil to me and I'm very sensitive to like sesame oil like when I'm cooking anyway, it's very, very good again gets off all all the Makeup and rinses clean again. Lastly, for one more hair product which I'm actually out of or lost, I mean I have no idea where it is. It is the living proof, Advanced, Clean, dry, shampoo. By far the best um dry shampoo, I've ever used in my life. No white cast immediately gives you. Volume immediately takes the hair from like flat to Super voluminous and clean. Looking like it really actually looks clean. It doesn't look like crunchy or powdery and a lot of dry shampoos. I can kind of feel them and smell them in the hair, and it's just like not a fun experience that one is by far the best one. I'Ve tried and it's again it's more pricey and up there, but they're going to be like going back and using a dry, shampoo, consistently or if you're gon na splurge on, like you know, going to the salon and getting a good haircut. Why not make the most of it? If that makes sense, I mean I understand, if you're, using a lot of dry shampoo, some something a little bit more affordable can be nice, but I'm not gon na lie and say it's not the best one that I've tried. All right guys, so those were all of my Dark Horse favorites of the Year. I hope you guys enjoyed today's video again I'll leave all the products I talked about down below uh. Make sure that you have your notifications set to on for Best of Beauty coming soon, cannot wait for that video. Thank you guys. So much for being here and I'll see you in my next one

Nika Shahabi: We need more skin care reviews from youuuuu. NO ONE reviews and describes products better than you. Skincare or makeup. Thank you♥️

Amy No-Nicknamey: I highly recommend Davines hair products as you continue the search for the perfect conditioner! I love theirs so much — I alternate among the Oi and Love conditioners and also the Alchemic Red, which I like to blend with Oi in a separate tub to get the best of both worlds for my color maintenance and serious conditioning (plus, I deeply adore the Oi smell). Their shampoos are great, though I stay more in the high drugstore price range for shampoo usually. But I’m also absolutely committed to two styling products from the Davines Oi line: the milk (leave-in conditioner and heat protectant) and the oil serum, which I sometimes use four pumps of through my ends at the tail end of a shower, but a small pump smoothed through fully dry, styled hair after my texturizing spray (Oribe!!! Or Kristen Ess if feeling broke) does something magical. Like adding shine AND piece-yness and making everything fall exactly where you want it, like it’s reading your mind? It’s wild.

MagpiesNeedle: I had wanted to try Laneige for so long so I snapped the vanilla (only one left) and it does nothing for me except dry my lips out. I found myself needing to apply Vaseline all day. I did get a mini of the berry one (I think that was the original?). It is better than the vanilla, and even seems a slightly less goopy formula. So I have this full size tub of vanilla Laneige so if anyone has hints on using it for other things shout out. I thought cuticles….at night I rub a moisturiser on my lips then slap the vanilla on just to get rid of it. I got Biossance squalane + rose vegan lip balm so it’s next up to bat.

TheGarsowTwins: Love your fragrance pics! That Peach Slices mask sounds perfect - Britta

Taylor M: I’d really love a skin care routine video using the wand thing too! I’m always curious what your skin care routines are like that give you such a great base for makeup. I bought the Bobbi Brown vitamin face base per your recommendation and WOW do I love that for a primer! But sometimes I struggle to pair it with my skin care, so I’d love to see what you do.

TheGarsowTwins: Such a good idea to use that body oil on your face! I've been using it for years in the winter time -Britta

kten: Oh I must try that green tea toner! Also you always pick the most beautiful balance of cool and warm tones and shades in your make up

Stephanie C: I love when you talk about fragrance, we have very similar taste

Taylor M: Your eyeshadow here is dreamyyy I love it. I wish I could do mine like this.

San Lae Lae Cho: Long awaited can’t wait to hear about your makeup favs too!

Julia: Fragrance recommendation: 7 Virtues Santal Vanille mixed with Billie Eilish first perfume. They were made for each other.

TheSim1derful: I'm intrigued by those pimple patches. Mine definitely do not suck up enough stuff.

Dilara: Just what I needed. Thank you.

Britt Billok: I just bought Jazz Club but it was a hard choice with Fireplace!!

Andrea Escobar: What eyeshadows are you using!? ❤

Gianna Lomeli: Love your vids!

Eva Nyerges: What eye shadow are you wearing in the video? Beautiful!

cindilee9141: ❤❤❤❤
