Little context, if you care to listen, I find myself in a [ __ ] positions.

Showerbea: Check out our new beauty products: https://linktr.ee/showerbea ❤

Naur: This is literally my hair thank you so much now I know what to do with my hair because I was so confused

yaya804: People with curly hair aren't supposed to brush it unless you did curls and want to fluff them together into waves. Only brush through your hair while it's dripping wet to prevent separating your natural curls and turning it to an undefined jumble once dry.

amandazera: This is my hair!!! I’m tired of using heat on it but I have given up on trying to style it. I’m found to try this!!

Chaeyoungs Strawberry Farm: This is my hair except it doesn’t turn curly when dry, it like falls out of the curls. Idk what to do.

The Zu: I get the detangle demen brush and then removed 2 rows of the comb parts. This prevents me from breaking the natural curls. Plus, I try to avoid going over each part more than once! The only time I go over it more than once is when I am detangling with conditioner! The goal is to avoid disrupting the curl pattern when you get out of the shower. Then I dont have to re-curl it! If I want more tight/intense curls then I do this.

K4nd¡ kîd: I already have naturally curly hair but it is WAY too relatable when you brush it out and it’s straight

Pixel Zebra: The sad part is that to make our curly hair curl how we want it to, we have to curl it again

Teolita LP: This is the exact attitude of my hair. I always treated it as a stubborn kid.

Hannah Langlais: I know i have naturally curly hair because both my parents and my brother do, but I always bleach and process my hair. The last three years during COVID I had to stay natural and I was shocked when I was waking up with curly hair. Not all these videos are of straight haired girls trying too hard. It’s legit guys pay attention to your hair and what it neefs

The Ghost: I have wavy straight hair. I've tried different techniques and products and never satisfied with the results. This is more work than I'd be willing to put in unfortunately

Lauren: This is my hair exactly. It’s weird though because I used to have pretty straight hair with just a tiny wave. But it’s definitely curly lol it makes sense because my mom has curly hair but not exactly sure why my hair just randomly switched

T a r t a g l i a: That's exactly how my hair works, thanks, I was fookin confised

Sage🍃: I have naturally really curly hair but i just dont brush it out, and it actually dries really well without any products although i do still use minimal products

Citronekk: This video explains my whole hair personality !!!!!

Krista Wisdom: I have naturally curly hair it turns kinda straight when I brush it and it curls on its own when my hair is wet.

Vanessa Bouyea: I literally do not have the patience for my wavy hair, but I’m glad there’s girlies out there who are learning to love theirs

Cᴜʀsᴇᴅ: half of my head is straight and the other half is curly it's so frustrating

Ana: If I part my hair in the middle it dries curly but if I part it in the side it dries so straight

K0r£: Its literally so hard to find out what ‘kind of hair type’ I have cuz this exact thing happens to me,,, I’ll shower and ITLL be curly, then when I brush it when it’s still wet it’s straight, and then it dries and looks like hermonie grangers hair LIKE???

Payton Gilchrist: That’s my hair exactly. IDK WHAT TO DO WITH IT!!! ☠️☠️☠️

Sunsetboba: I hate when my hair becomes poofy when I brush it after showering so I just don’t touch it and it curls by itself

💜skz, bts: my hair is like that (the part shown in the start) but it's literally reaches my bottom

내오미 naomi 💚: when i do this my hair still looks like leftover sheered sheep wool

Johanna!!: Do you blow dry your hair or let it air dry?

xXStripeyXx: Honestly i brush my hair before I take a shower and it works perfectly fine my curls look bouncy and shiny

Oumnia Mourchid: I will always be surprised to see people who don't know their hair types...especially at this age? I don't know if this person wanted to have straight hair like "everyone else", but stop wanting to look like what you will never be. Be yourself.

Lucia-Maria Vintilă: mine was straight when I was little so I always thought it is straight but some time ago it started to look like yours. When wet curly, and then I brush and air it, it's straight, I was hella confused and thought, it might be curly? My dad has curly hair and my mom has straight hair so i have no idea how is mine now

Yasmine Zelaya: Oh. My. Gosh. I’m not the only ONE I legit want to cry this is 1000% my hair to the T

Andreina has an Opinion: You don't need all that. shampoo hair. Towel dry then in the shower add hair mask. leave for ten minutes, then rinse. do not towel dry then, just squeeze excess water. Once out spritz leave in conditioner mid shaft to tips. Let it sit for 4 mins. Comb hair all through, then add either a gel or mousse. Comb all through and scrunch either with hands or a micro towel. Then just diffuse. You will have beautifully defined waves. No need to separate each piece of hair. products I use are Kérastase for shampoo and mask, Jennifer Aniston leave in and Kérastase mousse. When using gel it's Aveda.

KurtKunkle'sDaughter: No way i wake up an hour earlier in the morning to do this

Mysterious Tiger: My hair is like wavy when it's wet but when it is dry it is straight

Alexandria Johnson: I have the same exact problem

Itz Millie moo!: This is literally my hair!

Lave.: Finding my hair type and porosity was the turning point in my hair journey. I always thought I had damaged, frizzy, and thin hair until I saw a yt short exactly like this one where this girl explains "curly girl method". And in that video her hair was exactly like mine straight in wet hair and frizzy after drying. So, all I needed to do was switching up a couple of products and styling method. Now It looks wayyy more healthy and good on me.The curls look amazing. I'm so glad I found my style at last. It was a really long journey and i learned so much.

Kirstin: It took me 10 years to realize I had curly hair lmao. I would always say “it’s half straight and wavy it always looks terrible when it dries naturally so I have to straighten it” ‍♀️ been styling it right for about 2 years now. Game changer. Thanks for posting this ❤

Winnie the Pooh: Omg so true!! A couple of years ago I had long brown hair, and it was always frizzy, poofy and thick. I brushed my hair out all the time, because of that. I thought I had straight hair because almost everybody in my family had straight hair. A couple years ago I cut my hair very short, so I didn’t brush it as much. Turns out when I didn’t brush my hair, it was curly. So, to all the people who don’t like there curly/wavy hair, just embrace it!! You look great

McKenna Bringman: literally don't brush your hair after you get out of the shower. brush it before you get in. that way you keep your natural curl that you see when it's wet. brushing it when you get out makes it wavy and frizzy as fuck when it dries. I have curly hair myself and never brush my hair wet.

Kevin Thomas: But I am not able to brush it out like that. My hair is just super frizzy even after wetting it and gets tangled and breaks:(

saikikitop: Oh wow that's actually helpful

a name ig: My hair is like straight straight straighter than my sexuality. Not even hot iron could get it wavy for more than five minutes. I don't wanna perm either. It looks very bland but I respect the work for curly haired people to take care of their hair.

🧿Evelyn🧿: this is literally me i’ve always thought i had straight hair but whenever i brushed my hair out after a shower i had puffy curls the next morning just thought it was how i was sleeping

Alina Zaidi: Imma just keep brushing it out so its half curly half wavy because everytime i try to take care of it, it takes way too long and my life schedule is too packed for all that.

Detective Pinkerton: This is why I refuse to brush my hair unless I'm going to get in the shower. Brushing it makes it lose its wave and tameness and turns it straight and POOF

sara mansour: I have the same problem

Nugget: It does that because you are using too much products or are lacking the oils it needs

педики противны : i look so damn bad w curly hair thoo

Teruna Singh: I was so confused about my hair it’s like four feet of hair and every time I wash it it is curly but when I brush it it’s just straight. Thank you

charlotte nye: this is literally my hair and people never believe that i have wavy hair bc i always am too lazy and brush my hair straight when it’s wet and sleep on it and there’s like 4 curls in the back

browngirl: omg yess this is how my hair looks when i brush it out but it’s actually like 3a and has some 2c pieces in there. ppl always claim its “not curly” bc its straight when wet and brushed but i’m like ‍♀️

Jegil Day: I'm happy that hair exploration went as far as it did because it made people realize that almost everyones hair is treated differently

ᑭᗩᗰᒪOOᖴ: Don't need to do all this stuff to get the same result. Lul

J: Using hair curlers has been a game changer definitely recommend ladies ❤️ I just blowdry my hair after a shower for a bit until it's damp then put it in (takes like 2 minutes) and my hair always looks great now c:

kaley williams: The finger “hack” gives me the best results on my 3B curls! Put the iron down and twist with your hands, they’ll be more uniform to your actual pattern

Megan Brown: honestly i should try this, my sister has super curly hair but i’ve always had wavy/straight type hair, but everytime i brush it when wet and let it air dry it gets like super frizzy and out of control. so i’m def gonna try this tonight!

NotEverley: Advice for people with curly hair: put mousse in ur hair and then use a hair dryer with a diffuser attachment and scrunch ur hair up with the hair dryer until it’s almost completely dry and it will look really good! I have curly hair and that’s what I do! (Also sorry I suck at explaining things)

Noe Dactyl: I literally thank you so much for helping people with this hair. I have it but I'm so lazy to do this, I just brush it, turns straight and then it goes back to curly. I don't have to do this thankfully cause it would take me ages hehe

Lady Calderon: Just a reminder that even if you brush your hair and it turns straight it’s still beautiful ❤ you don’t need to buy many products and spend an hour on your hair for it to be gorgeous babe ❤

AugustAddams: Thank you so much, my hair used to be straight when I was little then it started going really fluffy and frizzy and wavy, and it looked curly wet. So then I bought products after watching this and yes, I do in fact have curly hair now so thank you.❤❤

Noah Ark: I have short hair, but I tried growing it long a couple years ago bc its the same as this. But I dye it and bleach regularly so curl saving techniques didn't help me much until I went back to cutting it. I wasn't willing to give up colorful hair, but since it's short it curls a lot more bc I cut the oldest most damaged parts off regularly.

Joy Katherine: My hair looks like this up until the final product. It dries frizzy and wavy no matter how curly it is when it is wet and what products i use

Natalie Reichardt: Oh god I think I might have curly hair

AMBERQuartZ08: bro- you're telling me that my hair is actually curly?!? I go through everything you just said

thevoidsrose: I had this problem for YEARS. A helpful tip: scrunch after brushing!!!

NotYaLix: I had curly extremely curly hair until I was 11 they started to weight down my hair. I know I still have curly hair but I'm too lazy for things like that so I usually wash my hair, braid it and then go to bed. The waves last around 5 days lmao

J. Walt: For shorter curly hair folk- brush your hair before the shower, scrunch it up as you wash it, and use a leave-in conditioner.

Ax 🤗: This is literally my hair. Curls when it's wet, straight when I brush it, dries into literal "FRIZZ" and makes me look like Hagrid, then I wet it again and let it air dry with curls. That's how I fix my frizz/hair but ye

Danielle: OmgI would have never expected to find this. But this is literally how my hair behaves despite it being a different texture because I am black. I try to style it like this sometimes or rub gel through it to make it stay but the humidity always gets yo it. Even with oil, it only lasts a limited time so I still have a long way to go to figure it out, but for a long time I did not think my hair was curly and I was told that it wasn’t. But I knew it had to be from the way it looked when I washed it. I started using better products, now I just need to perfect my routine (ps. I also think my style may not last, partly because my hair has damage from not using the right products or having a routine for so long)

Serenity Marquis: This is literally my hair and I just straighten the heck out of it but I need to try this thank you!!

iloveyou: yea i need this

Heaven Lance: This is me all up until the amazing results. My hair looks and acts like yours when wet/damp. I use products that I'm told to by my hairstylist to try and keep the curls. I diffuse slowly to help form a cast. I do everything and it looks soooo promising when it's still wet- beautiful ringlets. Then it just turns into fuzzy fussy hair. I can't manage to keep my curls CURLY and it's so frustrating

Rebecca Toman: I don’t typically brush my hair, that in itself seems to help a lot. Use a pick to get out some of the knots.

Priscilla’s Pets: i’ve also noticed if i use hair oils when it’s wet, it’ll dry more straight and soft than what hers was in the first one (which was mine ever since i started doing this)

Rock: I thought my hair was straight until a stylist was working with my hair and told me that I actually had really light curls. Suddenly, it made sense why my hair was constantly poofy or frizzy. I shouldn't have been surprised cause my mom has super curly hair.

katelyn: i don’t brush the curls while its dry i just use mark anthony curl cream after showering (while it’s still wet) and it works pretty well for me!

Tundra: YES THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO MY HAIR

aura ☃️💓: i used to have really curly hair when i was younger, but now it's just wavy so this helps a ton bc sometimes it will randomly go back to curly

me: I hate my straight hair

Basil: as a girl who used to have that hair naturally air dried and lost it to a medication i was on, i would never go through all that effort to get it back just for a day or two lol

awfultaco: fun fact you can have nice waves or curls without doing all of that !! just brush before the shower, squish to condish, finger comb while u rinse then squish it again, squish in leave in conditioner, use a microfiber towel or a t shirt to dry your hair, boom. done. doing stuff like this is only necessary if you want super defined curls with less frizz but as long as you keep your hair moisturized it won’t be as frizzy!

kingofCASTLEVANIA: General tip: If your hair is curly when wet, refrain from brushing it out when wet unless you want wavy and frizzy hair when it dries. It's fairly simple and the math is all there. I'm completely unsurprised that her curly hair, when brushed, un-curled. I'm confused as to why that seems confusing to some people RIP

Mihaela Cosinschi: My hair is naturally just a little wayvy, but if i apply a little styling foam on the damp, unbrushed hair and squeeze it from bottom to top to distibute evenly, the hair becomes super curly. I don't usually apply it since i don't like the feel of having any product in my hair (it feels a little tacky and i also like it odourless), but it's nice to see how a squeeze of product can bring out so much of the natural tendency. Also, i noticed that my hair becomes curlier if i rinse it in barely lukewarm to cold water, also if i soak it for a minute in slightly salty water before the last rinse, and very soft if i add a tiny amount of vinegar to the first rinsing water and hold it for 1-2 minutes. I do these add-ins as well very rarely, but if you wanna try it out maybe it helps

Hafsa Babar: But my hair is like that naturally

crylikethis: It's exactly my hair. And when it dries it's all fuzzy but straight I hate it. Gonna try doing this next time.

L u c y y: I have this type of hair and my solution is to brush it when it's wet, then put it in a loose plait whilst still wet and sleep in it and take it out in the morning. The only issue is if you don't sleep in it, it takes ages to dry. You might be able to blow dry it in the plait though.

ᴄᴀʟʟɪᴏᴘᴇ: love how everyone's talking about brushing it straight while having curly hair but they fail to mention it's only straight because it's extremely wet :/

Qkhsacbhgzcbmlprqcv: I have naturally wavy/curly hair. This happens exactly and after I’m done brushing it I put Cantu: Shea Butter stuff in my hair (which is good for it, helps out a bunch,) and then brush it again. Then I braid it. You can find Cantu at Walmart, or Sally’s, they have different kinds

Lia_Night: OMG FINALLY FOUND MY EXACT HAIR TYPE LMAO yes this is exactly how my hair looks right out the shower!

Tra: The first 3 shots are EXACTLY my hair so thank you for this.

Elilta Angosom Official: When you are from East Africa::

Kit Kat: Hello my fellow wavy/curly hair ladies who are too lazy to sit there and curl strand by strand! I'm a person who loves my beauty sleep, so I hardly wake up early enough to do anything more than shower before I start my day. Trust me when I say that just applying product will do so much for your waves/curls. Right after a shower when my hair is still wet, I use hair cream for frizz (I like Argan Magic Curl Cream, but if you need something thicker Shea Moisture is pretty good) and a gel from Miss Jackson to give hold throughout the day. I apply a bit of each to my fingers, run it through, and very importantly, I SCRUNCH! Then if I want more defined curls, I'll add a mousse and scrunch that in as well. By time my hair air dries, my curls are healthy and hydrated. The process of getting the product in takes less than 5 minutes, and it is game changing.

Dora the homebody: dont brush it out?

mimi_stay: so. this is my weird journey. long hair around 11 years old. i looked back to myself from literally 3 years ago and my hair was so smooth and silky and straight. around 12 my hair started getting kinky, and knotted. 13, my hair started getting beach wavy, and that’s now it is now at 14, but i cut my hair shoulder length, so now it’s fluffy/wavy. i like it, and i also like how i can straighten it, and it stays straight, and i can do this, and it stays curly, and i can just leave it be with some mouse…. and it’ll be beach wavy. lots of people have trouble with their hair but i cut side bangs and the slight wave in my hair makes it fall so perfectly, i don’t need to style it at all. just fuff it up and it falls perfectly. i’m saying this cuz everyone i meet says they have to do their hair and i just get up and brush.

Maylesa Wells: This is my hair in a nutshell. I try so often to get it looking good but it always straightens out.

srsly113: One thing to solve this problem forever: heatless, overnight curls!

Sarah Intidam: This is why I don’t brush my hair out when it’s dry but when it’s wet it will start curling by itself. Of course looks better when I “scrunch” it after applying my leave in conditioner

Wonderful Alice: I was too lazy to style my hair yesterday and just brushed it down straight. I ended up looking like a dandelion, with a bunch of puff and freeze. I'll be attending to my curls better next time.

Brooklynn Bulls: Literally have the same problem my mom has curly hair and my dad has stick straight hair and my hair has so much body to it and then it curls all underneath but not on the top‍♀️

Danielle Messinger: Who has time to individually curl each strand in the morning or ever really? So tedious. I just don’t want to take an hour doing my hair. But your hair looks absolutely amazing!! I love it!!

ZaZa: I want to try this because my hair does exactly the same thing when I've let it dry on its own!
