Size-Ism Sucks #Siiriparkss #Hairstylist #Siiri

Girl are we twinning we're wearing the same outfit yeah. We are wait. I think we're actually wearing these same exact pants. Did you get yours from Target yeah, but I got mine on clearance. I love how they're not see-through, even when you bend over yes, but they're. Still so comfortable anyway, my clients here, but we look cute today, hey boss, hello, can you come here? Please? Yes, your outfit, it's not workplace appropriate. So after you get done with your first client, I'm gon na need you to run home and change real quick. What'S not appropriate about it, it's going to draw too much attention. Have you already seen Al this morning? So what does that have to do with this conversation? We'Re wearing the exact same outfit pants and all so does she have to change too? Or is it because I'm not a size, zero? Okay, that is not fair. I did not notice her. I have a client

Mandy McCullough: As someone with a large backside and thighs, I've had a similar issue. My clothing has been called 'distracting' in school or at work when I'm in uniform. My mom is built like fairly odd parents Timmy Turner's mom, I was bound to get some of them genes.

Bee Bo: i had a work place once tell me to go home and change my shirt cuz “it’s too low cut” even though i was covered. meanwhile the manager on the floor had her shirt so low you could see her bra.

Ronda Holston: I used to get this a lot because I was thicker than most girls in school and the work place

Approximate Knowledge: I have absolutely experienced this before. I worked at GNC and there was a manager lady who regularly was after me for my pants but never looked at the coworkers who were actually out of uniform. It was obvious she wished she looked as good as me LOL

Suz Q: This happened to me in high school where me and another girl were wearing the same exact top except she was very thin and flat chested but only I got in trouble because I was curvier and had big boobs for my age but that’s not my fault. I’m pretty sure that the Vice Principal was actually just a pervert and made me change because he knew he shouldn’t be looking at 16 year old girls like that at all in the first place

MEDUSA: It happened to me on my first job. I was 19 and I have the typical brazilian body (small boobs, small waist, large hips). All the girls in the store wears leggings with the shirt that was our uniform. the manager (a woman) one day, brings an ugly pair of pants for me to wear because for me wearing leggings was too much and the men at work could feel unconfortable. thank god I work at home now, wear whatever makes me confortable

Lia: Ladies. This is not about size. It's about petty jealousy. Never put up with this. It's different if your literally revealing cleavage, buttcrack, or midriff (obv not professional), but when you are continously singled out when others dress the same way, you need to *RUN.* Look for another job ASAP. As someone who was a size 2 up until I became a mom (hello hips ) I endured this treatment from my manager for nearly 2yrs in my early career. It never got better. She always found ways to make me feel insecure and ugly. Turns out, bullies grow up too. When I worked up the courage to confront her, she said she understood why her behavior seemed unfair, and said she'd make some changes. I was fired over lunch that day. I was a contractor and my contract was terminated. Got a call from my company saying so. They never gave me a reason. The irony is that my contracting companies name was Zero Chaos. You can't change a narcissist. They don't care about anyone but themselves. If you interrupt their mindgames and manipulation they will find a way to off you. It's not worth your time, energy, effort, confidence, or beautiful soul. God made you the way you are for a reason and it is a wonderful one. Much love and a Merry Christmas to you all ❤️❤️❤️

Stitched Mouth: Once a manager (not my manager) told me my shirt was too high cut (it was, it exposed my stomach a bit) and insisted I changed. This was the last day before Christmas and we closed early, so this was an hour before closing. I told her my manager didn’t mind (he saw me when I first walked in and said nothing about my shirt) and she asked if they were male or female. I said male. And she called him a creep.

Jacquie Monaghan: Honestly this happened to me as well so I typically wear leggings they're probably thick you can't see through them even if I'm bending down and most of the girls that I used to work with Went to work half naked basically. I got sent home to change and then I got fired the next day and I even told them like if they were just going to fire me they should have just sent me home to begin with instead of wasting my time and gas. But they literally fired me because they claimed that I was working slower than the rest of the people that started at the same time as me when to be honest I was told by all the managers that I was actually progressing the fastest so you know the assumptions could be made

Julia Alves Sequeira: This has been my life since elementary school I used to be so angry all the girls got to wear leggings and cute crop tops but when I wore it “It was a “distraction “ or something stupid.

Pricilla: Ugh, my mom used to do this to me. I was a size 6-8 and my sister was a size 0-4 (yes, women's sizing is that messed up). But I want allowed to wear so much that my sister was allowed to wear because of my body shape, including short shorts and bikinis. She did eventually apologize though when I was about 25.

Stephanie: I will say, there was so much of this when I was working at the mall so many moons ago; I was literally very close to being naked and was NEVER EVER sent home and was praised for being so fashionable; my bestie who was more voluptuous/blessed than myself tried wearing the exact same top in black (mine was cream) and she was sent home to change. I thought she wore it more appropriate than myself and they were just jealous

RobynR: Omg soooo accurate! I got tata’s in 2nd and by 4th grade I had full C small D and by 6th DD. I can’t tell you how many people and “ authority. Figures.” Shammed me endlessly for it. Even when I went to church camp in like 4th grade multiple male leaders banned me from all the water activity and free swim!! Because my body caused the boys at camp to have “impure thoughts” and therefore I was causing Sin. I had followed the full dress code we were sent to pack from. A one piece athletic style swimsuit with a teeshirt over and shots over top. And the shorts had to meet inseams requirements. It was so beyond ridiculous. I also was absolutely beyond embarrassed and humiliated!! And I was freaking like 9 yr old.

demonheart13: I had a conversation once when the owner of the salon realized I wasn't wearing a bra cause I took my jacket off to wash dishes (I do not wear bras on cycle it's painful on the nips) she asked if I could go back to wearing bras. Maybe next week, then proceed to not care. Would love to have even attempted to be fired for not wearing a bra under my standard uniform. Literally best customer service and second in sales.

stella bari: As a woman with a large chest, I understand both sides. On one hand, I would love to wear the exact same things as other women, but on the other hand, there are some clothes that they can wear only because they don’t have anything to hide chest wise, which means they can wear basically nothing, and still be appropriate, whereas, the same clothing would show everything on me, and therefore not be work appropriate.

Tired: I FELT THIS my leggings are always dresscoded

Alanna Kenny: This would happen to me when I was a bit bigger and worked at a hardware store, all the girls would wear leggings and no issue, but if I wore them I'd be told it was to showy and inappropriate. Noone else would get told off ever. just because I was a size 16 and not a size 6... glad I left that craphole.

Laura Stitt: The same clothes fit different bodies differently. I can see how the exact same clothes would be workplace appropriate for one body shape and not workplace appropriate on another. It has nothing to do with size and everything to do with shape. A garment made for a curvy shape will not look appropriate a not so curvy shape while a garment designed for less curvy bodies won't fit curvy ones appropriately.

Momo!: I've been told that my knee length shorts were inappropriate, while my coworker who is a teeny tiny petite beauty (no hate, I really do love her she is like my work mom) was working in tiny little shorts that showed nearly her entire leg. I have also been told that my wide shoulder tanktop was inappropriate, while the WorkMom has worn sleeveless tanktops several times before.

CherrySweetBlossoms: As someone who obese due to untreatable health issues, it definitely happens. I get it, I have more to show: skinny girls aren't gonna have all the rolls and bumps that show up under their clothes. But unless I'm wearing 3 sizes too small with everything legit SKIN TIGHT (like its stretched out and spilling out) so that I might as well be naked...that's not my fault. I would have to wear a literal potato sack to hide my body, and if you don't make skinny girls hide it too, you're fat shaming. It'd just naturally going to be more revealing, regardless of what I wear. To be fair, I've seen some obese people do that. In that case, it's absolutely not a case of you wearing the same thing as skinny person. You're no longer wearing the same thing because she wearing appropriate sizes that fit her, and you aren't.

IrisFilmProductions: Meanwhile my hairdresser wears what my great grandma called "hotpants", and nobody bats an eye

asphodelale: Gen X had a rule about wearing leggings in the workplace: don't. (Exception of course for those who worked in the physical fitness occupations.) For all other non-work, non-gym wear, there were three other rules: don't wear leggings that are the same color as your skin (it just looks naked), make sure your top covers your butt and hoo-ha, and don't wear different patterns on your top and bottom--either match those suckers or make one a solid. Nowadays, though, I suppose we have to settle for not having them so tight the world knows whether your piercings end at your face.

Sadie: Im glad i never got dresscoded, cause i might have to sue. Im always afraid they'll force me to wear a bra, im developing fibromyalgia, it runs in my family, it hurts to wear a bra, ok. I know people notice but they have sense enough to leave me alone about it lol

Broomstick Betty: This happened to me at school. Me and another girl were wearing similar skirts, and length etc. Only difference being she has a small, athletic body type and I'm curvy big thighs... I got asked to go home, she didn't

A. An.: When I was 14 at school someone dress coded me and held a ruler up to my legs because I was wearing my running shorts for cross country. Meanwhile the very skinny girls that wore much shorter shorts never got dress coded. I got coded cause I have fat legs and bigger thighs.

Lexccraig: Takes me back to high school, because if you were thick, you got in trouble for wearing leggings, but if you were skinny, you didn’t

Al N: I feel this so hard as a plus size woman

Baby Ree: Oo girl, raising my hand because I’ve experienced this too ‍♀️

Gabriella ballor: Ive always been thicker than most girls my age and i remember one time i got sent home for my jeans having rips in them meanwhile the skinnier girls would wear booty shorts and never get in trouble

LeeAnna Parson: Ik how it is. I can’t wear what I want without someone saying something and I just give up

Blaze648: THIS HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE Literally just say you’re jealous of her figure istg people find the most INSANE ways to show off their insecurities like

Bruno Bucciarati: Oh this just gets my blood boiling-

Lisa: Now that I have a job where I don’t have to deal with jerks as bosses or co workers anymore it quickly became obvious that most mangers are creating toxic and abusive work environments and I just didn’t have the self esteem or awareness or safty to do anything

Emily Dodson: Shorts. It's always shorts for me. I have ass for years. Always have had ass and thighs yet no boobs or curve any where else lmao (until I gained 40 lbs ugh) but I couldn't wear the same shorts as most without someone telling me ass is hanging out. Like make cute shorts that cover me then its hot out I ain't wearing no cargo shorts

SamAsm: If you're thick, you probably look extra curvy in said outfit. An outfit on a beanpole isn't as provacative as it is on the hourglass. The boss should provide a uniform.

Bolaji Adetunmbi: I had this problem in the past

Lizzi Storm: Ever since "developing", literally this CONSTANTLY. At school, at work, even just fucking SHOPPING and someone feels the need to say "that's inappropriate to wear" just cause I've got extra fat on my chest/rear.

Irene Shocklee: To be fair clothing suits different body types so differently and appropriateness fluctuates. I understand that it's not fair and feels very isolating. I guess I'm saying I can see if from a business perspective and personal one.

Joyous Bellephant: Happens to me all the time

LadyRedHawk: No, you are right, your boss shouldn't be clocking you on your outfit just cuz you have curves

Lorraine A: I’ve seen this teaching…the healthier ladies get scrutinized the most! SMH

Inez brown: I would defend you if I was there overhearing or I was that girl. And I’d def never be that boss.

Louise Fourie: I knew size- ism was a thing

Dominique Dixon: I swear on my life the same exact thing happened to me and yes old girl was about a size 2 and me an 11

Supergirl 83: Or when someone sees you with another big girl " Are you sisters?"...

Nichole Thalji: Been there. I am so sorry about your videos stolen. My teen had her accounts stolen by a Forex Scammer. She's a competitive dancer and baker.

Andrew McCanna: When your boss looks like Adele.

True Southern: Bro what? It's always the opposite in my expirience, the "hot" ones are the ones who have to change

Cordelia Foxx: I hate this problem. My SIL and me buying the same dress (just different color). I wear light green and she wear dark blue. So her breasts is bigger size than me and her hips are bigger too. When my MIL saw us, she look at me and smile "wow that is so beautiful on you". But when it comes to my SIL aka her daughter she is like "the dress make you looks fat. That breasts is too revealing you should not put a belt on it you are distracting the boys". I HATE IT CAUSE IT MAKES IT SO AKWARD AND IT MAKES MY SIL SAD AFTER THAT. and it makes me doesn't want to wear the dress :(

Sloan Eisenbart: well, don't be fat

Gabriel the Griffin: pop off

Liv: This is me. I have a big butt and big boobs so when I wear leggings I get told it isn't appropriate and when I wear tops that are a bit low, EVEN IF IM COVERED, I get told me change because I'm "distracting" and making people uncomfortable. Um, I'm sorry, I'm COVERED and my leggings pass the squat test, why are they looking at my ass and tits in the first place?? Ridiculous. A girl who is tiny could wear the same thing and nobody would bat an eye

Trevor Michael: Yeaaa id make up a reason to fire you lol

Jhuanda 1307: Has always happened to me. The problems of being curvy.

jamie182:

J C: What nonsense
