SUMMARY:

- Your locks will be longer if you trim them on a regular basis; not because your hair will grow faster, but because the ends won’t be splitting and breaking.

- DIY might be a handy practice for many occasions, but coloring the hair is not one of them unless you are a professional hairdresser, perhaps, or at least know exactly what you’re doing.

- The heat from hot tools (a curler or straightener) makes the water evaporate extensively and, as we all learn at school, water expands with evaporation, breaking your hair.

- When you brush your hair, lots of dead skin particles end up on your brush, even if you cannot see it. Dead skin is the perfect environment for growing bacteria, all sorts of them.

- The glands in our scalp produce natural oils that are essential for healthy curls, and hot water can remove them, making your hair dry and brittle.

- Shampoos and conditioners are totally different products that are used for different purposes and cannot replace one another. Shampoos clean, conditioners moisturize.

- If you brush your hair from the roots, you end up creating a massive knot and pulling lots of hair off. Doing this also weakens the roots.

Everybody wants to have beautiful, strong and shiny locks, although the main way to achieve this goal is a well-balanced diet and good hair care. There are a few things you may be doing incorrectly, without even knowing about it, one waiting too long for a trim or cut. If you have split or frizzy hair, if it looks untidy and has no shape anymore, if your hair tangles easily or gets lots of single knots, you are probably way overdue for your haircutting appointment, especially if you want to have long hair, your locks will be longer If you trim them on a regular basis, not because your hair will grow faster, but because the ends won't be splitting and breaking solution visit the hairdresser regularly to DIY dyeing It Yourself, DIY might be a handy practice for many occasions, but coloring the hair is not One of them, unless you are a professional hairdresser, perhaps or at least know exactly what you're doing most likely, you will end up going to a salon anyhow, but it will be way harder and more costly to fix whatever you have done. Just let the professionals deal with it from the beginning solution, a hairdresser appointment, 3 brushing or styling wet hair. When your hair is wet, it is very delicate and more prone to breakage. You can experiment a little to check it next time you wash your hair, select one. Only one. We don't want you to get bald and try to break it. You will find that it breaks much easier compared to when the hair is dry. The brush does the same thing, but instead of one hair, it breaks hundreds, the heat from Hot Tools, a curler or straightener, makes the water evaporate extensively and, as we all learn at school, water expands with evaporation. Breaking your hair, plus using hot tools, will simply pry your hair to finish the damaged solution. Let it dry before brushing and styling, and using some heat protection products is also recommended for using dirty brushes when you brush your hair. Lots of dead skin particles end up on your brush, even if you cannot see it dead. Skin is the perfect environment for growing bacteria, all sorts of them a part of being simply disgusting. It can get transferred back to your scalp. If you don't wash your hair brushes regularly solution, wash your brushes or put a tissue onto the brush before combing, your hair dispose of the tissue after brushing leaving the brush itself clean, five, washing your hair too often, and with very hot water. The glands in our scalp produce natural oils that are essential for healthy curls and hot water can remove them. Making your hair dry and brittle over washing will eventually do the same thing. The hairdresser's recommend washing your hair twice a week or three times. If you have very oily hair solution, don't wash your hair every day and only use warm water 6, not using conditioner or using it instead of shampoos. Shampoos and conditioners are totally different products that are used for different purposes and cannot replace one another shampoos clean conditioners. Moisturize, here's a simple comparison: your car needs both petrol and oil, not one or the other. These are two different products, and your car won't appreciate it. If you pour petrol where oil is supposed to be, it is the same with your hair. If you use conditioner instead of shampoo or not use it at all, your scalp won't say thank you. Although the damage won't be as costly compared to the car, probably solution use both first shampoo, then conditioner 7, not changing hair products. When the hair is changed. There are lots of different products on the market, these days for thin, coarse, colored, damaged, hair and much more. They have slightly different ingredients depending on the purpose. If your hair is changed, so should the products, let's do a car comparison again. We all know that you shouldn't put petrol into a diesel four-wheel drive, so why would you use shampoo for oily hair if you have bleached dry, locs solution time to go shopping eight, brushing your hair too often and doing it from the roots. If you brush your hair from the roots, you end up creating a massive knot and pulling lots of hair off doing this also weakens the roots over brushing does similar damage, generally speaking, don't fix it if it's not broken, in other words, don't brush if it needn't Be brushed solution always start brushing your hair from the ends and work your way to the roots, untangling the knots along the way and don't overdo it ix having a tight hairstyle too often, if you tie your hair very tightly very often, it may eventually damage it Because you literally pull the hair from its roots, if a ponytail is your preferred style, avoid hair ties with metal parts or switch the ties height every day, alternating the up and down days solution, tie your hair occasionally, but not every day, 10 too much Sun. Normally, if we plan to spend a long time outdoors, we remember to use sunscreen but often forget to protect the hair too much exposure to the Sun damages not only your skin, but your hair as well. If your hair is severely discolored looks and feels dry and gets a lot of split ends, then UV radiation is probably responsible for it. Solution, wear a hat or a scarf, which tricks do you use to keep your hair healthy share them in the comments below? BRIGHT SIDE: Hey there! How often do you wash your hair?

Jus Me: This must be for straight hair ppl. Curly heads should never comb dry hair...

BRIGHT SIDE: TIMESTAMPS: Waiting too long for a trim or cut 0:19 DIY — dyeing it yourself 0:58 Brushing or styling wet hair 1:37 Using dirty brushes 2:38 Washing your hair too often and with very hot water 3:15 Not using conditioner or using it instead of shampoos 3:48 Not changing hair products when the hair’s changed 4:42 Brushing your hair too often and doing it from the roots 5:22 Having a tight hairstyle too often 6:00 Too much sun 6:32

qwyzl: invest in a shower comb.  also, a wide-toothed pick.  use the shower comb when in the shower.  make sure your hair is completely wet, then comb it while showering.  you can also comb your hair if taking a bath, but make sure your hair is completely wet.  also, BEFORE taking a shower, use the wide-toothed pick to comb out your hair.  that way, there shouldn't be any knots when you use the shower comb.  using these two types of combs should reduce the amount of knots and make your hair easier to comb and brush when dry.

Isabella Di Tursi: I wash my hair every day and my hair is soft and actually really healthy feeling and I do almost all these "bad" things that wreck your hair so I don't know ‍♀️

Kanika: VISIT THE HAIR DRESSER REGULARLY ???? let me tell ya girl not everyone is rich LIKE YAAA !

Katherine Richardson: Hair length depends on genetics. Also dying it yourself if you follow the instuctions is cheaper with the same results and lasts the same amount of time.

Marley Bernberg: I like wearing my hair up especially on hot days. I did get breakage at ponytail line. Now I bend my head over, make a ponytail w/ my hands, roll to make a bun. Then use a clip to hold together. It is not so tight less breakage!! Love bright side! Thank you!!

SL Bellue: I have very straight fine hair. If I don't comb my hair while it's wet, it is far more tangled than when it's wet & it breaks worse. If you're careful & comb gently from the bottom up, I think it's fine to comb your hair while wet. I'm going to go wash my hair right now just to prove a point!

Panda Lady: I don't cut my hair and I don't have a hair stylist. Also I only use Baby shampoo on my hair. My scalp is too sensitive to sulfates in most normal shampoos.

Dam-i Tries : you have to protect your hair also from cold weather, so next time you wear your jacket don't forget to put also your hair inside =) its cold too, even if you don't feel it

Emily Andrews: Brushing hair from the bottom and working our way up? I'll keep that in mind.

Warriorprincess: Don’t brush comb or pick wet hair. You can’t style curly hair dry. What about clarifying conditioner, or those with corse curly hair?

Maheen Abid: WOW THIS WAS AWSOME THANKS FOR THE HELP!!❤️

Sinstar33: Professionals hate when people cut (or attempt to) their own hair. I actually know how to cut my own hair properly, layers and all. It saves me quite a bit of money because I have long hair. However, the MOST IMPORTANT part of cutting one’s own hair (besides actually knowing what you’re doing), is having proper scissors! You can’t cut hair with paper scissors, or kitchen poultry scissors. All you will do is absolutely destroyed the ends of your hair. Professional ones cost $200+. Mine were almost $50, but worth it. Personally, I don’t recommend anyone trying it “just because”. And if you’re just starting out, don’t go for a short style, because if you do need it fixed... say goodbye to having any hair at all.

Sabrina Plummer: This is actually helpful. I had cut my hair to Bob cut from 2015-2018. I didn't cut it in 2019. I comb my hair Often and My hair falls Out a lot. I guess im not taking care of it enough.

Emmett Rego: A well balanced diet and good hair Yeet

Sapphire Lily: I have super curly hair and letting it dry before I brush/comb and style it would cause breakage and the products may not really work.

Melody M: When my hair touches something with dirty oil, I just rince it off.

fergieStraw: I live with me mommy, and she always there before, during, and after I shower, and she don't know anything 'bout what's bad for hair, other than the ratting(combing hair the other way). When I live alone, imma have way better hair lol

Di Lynn Vee: I questioned the hair dresser about coloring my hair when it was really short. She told me that it would cost the same as someone with longer hair. I'm sorry but I can't afford that. I'll just keep dyeing my own hair.

Jeff Ren: And another tip.Never use a towel tp dry hair it makes it frizzy and after a whole will damage your hair.Use a thin shirt. It does work I tried.

L Z: I have a lot of split ends in my hair. I'm an emo kid so I cut it with a razor comb & heat straighten it too much.

Emily Andrews: 3:43 I use cold water when washing my hair.

Ariana's Moonlight: I love you for your help❤

Lisa Donaldson: I shampoo my hair hair 2wice a week wen I brush my hair I do it from the bottom up and always use conditioner. The brush thing is the one thing that I learned about

Keith Ellen Almeida Mascarenhas Batista: I've got curly hair!!! How am I supposed to to let it dry before use the comb????

Rach Wilbur: Ok...well...I do most of these things I'm not supposed to do lol. Guess I should change my hair routine.

Homes for HUMANS: THANK YOU, NYC STYLIST APPROVED

Cassandra D: Not really good advice for people with curly hair. Curly girls should ditch the brush altogether and only use a wide tooth comb when WET, preferably with conditioner in. Also use styling products on WET hair too, in keeps the curls intact and less likely to be a frizzy mess. #thecurlygirlmethod

flynn malin: I only use a wide-toothed comb for my hair.

Jeff Ren: This really helped me.I have terrible hair and now it is a better. Thanks Bright side

Simona S.: I have beautiful, long, shiny, healthy and very thick hair. It's heavy and I will get a haircut Wednesday.

Grumpy Meatloaf: Just remembered...I need a haircut and shave!

Ernests: And what if I wash my hair 2times a day?

cilla rio: the last one abt the sun coloring my hair i actually like tho cuz I have brown hair and the sun gives it highlights and it’s rlly pretty

Seana Scala: 1st of all my stylist is fantastic but not super expensive and she uses this light spray "Kukui oil" and it is not wet its like a mist. So I bought a small bottle. You just spray a tiny bit on when you are brushing your wet hair and it it clears out all knots. After just a few days though my hair was perfect!! This stuff is fantastic!! And I only wash my hair twice a week, have for over 40 years. Am Italian and have slightly an oily scalp. But do use a great conditioner, but never on my scalp, just on the length of my hair. Always get the length trimned every 8 weeks. That is fine with her. Dyed every 6 weeks. Peefect.

kinkey naturalley: Woawww that's really good to know. Specially the brushing and styling when its wet.

cynthia landis: Comb your hair while you got the conditioner and is the best way to comb it.

comedy editz: Hi bright side! I love your videos they are so great you have even inspired me to create my own content! I am releasing my first video soon and it would be amazing to have some support!

kimnamjoonswife: LOVE YOUR VIDS

Dranjali Garg: Onion juice with coconut oil is the best remedie fr hair

Ana Ouckamana: In my work it requires me to tie my up everyday. How can I lessen the strain on my hair?

Emily Andrews: What sort of heat protection products are there?

Young-Soon Kim: The PH of the hair and skin are same (4.5 -5.5).

cynthia landis: Wear your hair up at night so it's not rubbing against something cause an friction that dries it out and that make split split ands

BeautyByT: Says 16 things but there’s only 10 in the video

Susan Cobb: Nobody learns that straighteners break your hair in school
