Story Time: My Bad Experience With A Ig Hair Stylist

Like sis, you left me in the cold like that, like all jokes aside, it was not nice. Oh my glowing child. I'M glowing right now, hi guys welcome back to my channel. Thank you so much for clicking into another vanessa, k7 video you're, a real one, you're a real one. I was sitting in bed and i was thinking i haven't done a story time in for evolution on twitter. I feel like recently, people have been well. People use twitter by the way, guys i'll be doing my makeup while i'm telling this story so i'm just going to start from now, because i know how long it takes me so i'll be doing that anyway. So i feel, like people use twitter as a platform to out people and expose people and just basically draw attention to things that they have like experienced and ig. Instagram hairdressers have been a part of that um subject of the type of things that people are exposing and i say, expose because, like it's not really exposing but they're, just making other people aware, but it's not really good feedback about the business every other day you See a new ig hairdresser getting exposed on some books that they put customers through my experience with id hairdressers, and let me tell i'm not gon na sit here, be like bashing. I'M not bashing this ig hairdresser, but i feel, like you put me through some, and that was my first and my last time, going to an ig hairdresser sis started, making her own wigs. I had to use that experience to make my own wigs. I hope you guys got your wine glass or your drink or your shot, glass or something um, but i know i've taken mine, so i've taken a shadow too guys. Once upon a time i was new to the hair game. I was new to the wig game. I was new to it like i had no idea. I think sis was just starting out her hair business, but it was popping off like she had everything going on. She was pretty popular, but i had never been to her and i saw her on instagram like so i hollered with sis, and i was like you know what at the time she didn't have her website going on. She wasn't like you know what this the way. Everyone'S got their websites now for bookings and stuff like that. By that time i don't think even instagram had like a business option. So it's literally dm and like you go personally and you meet the stylist and you get your hair done by a dm. So dm was the main booking thing so alcohol assist i was like. Can i get this done this done and on this day? So communication was fine since why i don't even know what i'm saying i was messaging, this girl now and we've arranged everything like we've arranged the day. I told her. What i went in price was excellent. Price was affordable, it was so so so so so child. We messaged each other um via dms and i'm thinking. Um is sis gon na. Is this girl gon na, like give me her number or some sort of contact detail for when the day comes? You know so i can just call her like when i'm outside or like text her or whatsapp or whatever, but the only means of communication we had was through dm. So i was like i don't like this, but i'm not going to complain, because maybe this is how she does for all her clients. Everyone just dms and you get your hair appointment - is coming to my appointment day and i think i messaged her and i said, is everything ready for like the next day? Is everything ready for tomorrow i'll be good to go? Everything'S fine? She said yeah babe. This is that bring the hair at this time. I wanted a leave out. It wasn't even like closure, she did really good leave out. So i think i said wig at the beginning of this. It was leave outs where leave outs were popping. I was the type of person back in the day. I was always rocking weave, so i will not take out my weave until i know i have an appointment that i'm going to the following day or the following week, make sure my appointment's booked, then i'll take out my hair wash it and then tighten it in A little bush bun and then when you got the little bush at the top, that was me yeah. All that we've gotten my hair was washed. I was looking like a teletubbie. I just had my finger the um, my bush at the top. I was looking all sorts the appointment comes and i'm getting ready to go to this girl and she's based. She was based all the way in um, not cleveland. I ain't saying no names, but i will say the location, also your name, but if you're not about battery from where i am based is about a 30 minute journey, sometimes be a 35 minute journey with traffic 25 minutes. If it's clear, so i wasn't driving at the time. So when i'm traveling somewhere, it was important for me to plan my journey catch, the bus just this that anyway, let i you guys, don't even know the half of why this pissed me off so much. I kept this girl informed. I was like oh i'm on my way cool. I made the journey guys i made the journey. I make a journey. I made the journey guys. Let me tell you like all jokes aside: it was not nice, i'm messaging her i've reached by sea, so i've taken. Do you know i was i calculated the journey from by bus. It was 35 to 40 minutes from my house where she was based. I get there now, i'm in batsy and i'm messaging this girl on dm. So i don't have a number she didn't give me no contact number. To be honest, i didn't even ask for one so that might have been my fault, but i'm dming this girl - and you know i haven't - we - don't have each other's numbers. So the only way we're communicating with each other is through direct message on instagram. So i'm messaging this girl, one air. As in that's all, i got air okay. Maybe she hasn't seen the message yet. So let me message you again. I'M standing here, i'm looking like yam i've got my bundles in a bag got my hair in a bag. My hair is on my head: it's in my bag in my hand and i'm just standing there. Her house is one of these blocker flats. I don't know which one it is, but i'm standing, i'm saying like i'm here, i'm near the location, i'm messaging her. What did i get air? What do i do like it's? Not even like i've driven i've taken public transport, so i need to. We need to get this appointment going on, so i need her to respond guys. I messaged her pee pee guys. Like all jokes aside, i was pissed. I don't think anyone understands how pissed off i was air after she aired me, i had no choice but to go home. I was standing in the cold outside a block of flats. Like literally, i was across the road off two block of flats, so she could have lived in that block or that block. I had no idea and i was standing there in the cold. It was dark like night time guys you think that was bad. Let me explain something to you, because, although it was a while ago, it really did affect like how i approach ig businesses these days, the most violation i got from this whole experience guys. I need to pause for this. I need to stop my makeup for this. The thing that was mind-boggling for me that what what it was for me a day after she aired me and i actually went home and i was really upset the following day. She was still posting her hair appointments on her page. Did she message me? No did she message me to say sorry. Did she message me to say i had a family emergency at least tell me, you have a family emergency lie to me or something do something. This girl didn't say nothing till this day. I don't expect to say anything to this day because she probably doesn't remember me, but the fact that i remember this experience, isn't a good look for your business. Do you know what i mean you might have a thousand of customers. You might not even remember that this happened, but the fact that i do - and now i know to stay away from your business isn't - is a small impact on your business that you might not recognize. You have professionalism means everything. Customer service is everything you don't know who i know you don't know who what i'm capable of. I could stop like you getting 100 customers or 50 customers just because i said i had a bad experience with that one, so i might recommend you and be like. Oh i'm going to hair uh on this and i'm just like nah. Do you know what she gave me a bad experience and that could turn off the next person? I'M sorry, you could not be doing that and the fact that sorry, i need to get you. The bones: you need to get them to the cheekbones funny enough. She still runs her business till this day, which is good. Her professionalism might have changed. She might up her games, i'm not going to dispute that popularity privilege you have when it comes to businesses like they'll, go for influencers and like popular people, obviously to get their business up there, which is fine, because, obviously, why not it's a business move, but don't Be treating regular customers like that like it's, not it's not on. I want them to win and stuff like that, but when you give someone a bad experience like the same one i had i didn't go to her again. Can you imagine if i had an important occasion to go to oh blue eyeliner yeah it put a perception in my head of other ig hairdressers that probably aren't like that, but i'm probably thinking because of that experience. You know this is gon na happen. That'S gon na happen like no from that experience. I started making my own wigs yeah and it was because of that experience and probably one other experience that i had when someone else was doing my hair and if i had not gone through that, i probably wouldn't have the courage to make my own wigs. You know i mean i wouldn't have felt the need to want to make my own wigs because - and i became really good at it. So sometimes your life experience shapes who you are, would i recommend people to make their own wigs hell yeah like there's nothing wrong to going to other people to get your hair done, stop relying on people that i hate relying on people. It'S like one of my top 10 things. I hate relying on people i like to get things done myself and knowing that, because i've done it, i can get it done at this rate and with this quality, rather than other than relying on people who might not deliver the results that i want them to Deliver at sis actually did me a favor or two and that's the worst thing. Knowing your customers know that you put them through a bad experience, and you don't know that i just dipped my hand in my bronzer. I just did my nail in my bronzer. So, like i said i get, i get no. To be honest, i get some people who stretch it like the girl took long to respond to your message, so you want to out her for taking long to respond. I'M not talking about that. I'M talking about people that you take the piss for like you, cannot run a business and not accept what comes with it, not accept the customer service that you're supposed to actually perfect guys. I don't want to make it my last experience, because i actually want someone else to do my hair for once, like not a nice experience, especially when you're paying someone for business um, but yeah.
