For the top of the hair, you will want to make sure that you use the point cut technique to help add some layers and movement to the hair. For our client Patty, she had longer hair for a short pixie haircut and her hair was starting to not really work with her. So RaDona is giving her an older women hairstyle makeover to help bring life back into the hair and give it some movement so that it is not just limp and bland. To really help make your hair work with you, you will want to use the point cut technique and use tecture to help give your hair life and make it easier for you to work with. This will also take the bulk out of her hair so that it has more movement and easier to work with as well. This haircut really helps make you look younger. This haircut will help you feel refreshed and have no stress with what your hair will look like. This is a super cute, easy, low maintenance haircut for anyone who is busy, or does not want to spend a ton of time doing your hair.

To recap, in this video you will see RaDona do one of her older women hairstyle makeover. This is a perfect haircut for any one who wants to have a haircut that makes them look more youthful and refreshed. This haircut will help give life and movement back into your hair without needing to put a lot of time and work into your hair. You can go from a limp and bland hair cut to a refreshed youthful fun haircut. This haircut gives the “grandma haircut” to the next step! This is the perfect haircut if you are wanting a change.

For products used in this hairstyle, RaDona will pull out all of her tips and tricks with Monat. Monat has a wide range of products to make sure that they cater to all of your hair needs and hair types. In this case, RaDona is going to use some “magic” products to help give the hair volume and movement. To start with the styling, RaDona starts with using Monat’s Root lifter. With this, it will help lift the roots up from her clients hair to help make the roots lift and appear thicker. This way it also adds some volume to her clients thinning hair. She then uses Monat’s Moxie Magnifying Mousse this will help condition the hair while providing a touchably soft hold. This will also help give RaDona’s client volume, body, and movement. Make sure that you only use one squirt of Monat’s Moxie Magnifying Mousse since it is super concentrated. Then RaDona uses Monat’s thickening spray. This will help make the hair appear thicker, but it also adds extra body, bounce, and volume to the hair shaft with a flexible hold. After you blow dry the hair, you can just leave the hair like this. If you want to style it, you can use Monat’s clay to help move the hair to stand up and piece out. Then you will use Monat’s Rejuvenique Oil to help with any frizz.

Hi everyone - I am here with Patti and I really excited we met just a little bit ago. She actually was looking up some building stuff online and one of my videos popped up and she's only half hour away from where I live, she's up in Salem anyway. So she come down to get her hair cut and I am really excited to give her a little change and anyway, she's she's a sweetheart already so anyway, we're gon na come to the back here and we're gon na come straight across yeah. This is one of my favorite parts. Patti is getting that back. Trimmed up isn't that good when it gets all nice and clean - and I do oh, that's so good, so I'm just taking the trimmer and just going just clean that up and then we're gon na start up here. All right, so we're gon na have this top. Be about two just over two inches long in a point cut into this: oh yeah Patti that was long sweetie right now, she's like it's just not doing anything, I'm like okay, let's get it! Let'S get some off and we're gon na bring this. You know tight back here, but not too too tight. She wants still a little bit of a link there, so I'm just holding this out and then, when I get down to here, I'm gon na start to angle in a little bit. Okay, so let me show you that again, you come this way and I'm still just coming out and then further down is when I kind of come in because she wants that a little bit fuller through there. Okay, so again start up here when you cut into that and this what about you Patti? Do you like the sum of hair falling like that? Do ya? Okay, good! No! Oh good! Exactly! I know laying back getting it washed and just all of the above right. Okay, so I'm just coming down this way and then start the angle going in okay, all right, I'm just taking little sections and adding them to the section that I had cut right before that and that's how you keep track of how long it needs to be. And if you need to part it off, you can I just kind of have a visual of where I'm at as far as like sections like this. So that's how I keep track of mine, but if you need to you can totally you know section each part off. Okay, now this side, oh yes, this is gon na feel so good Patti. I said it's kind of weird cuz. You know cut in here for all these years. It really is like it's so satisfying when you watch something and change it, and I'm like it's crazy. How it makes me feel better. Yes exactly I have. It really is crazy, like the guys are doing perms. Now you know a lot of perms, and so it is it's kind of fun to watch it all come and go, and did I reserve see right? Oh, they would stink so bad. I so remember that anybody else out there remember perms. That'S all I mean. I look back and oh all, my kids are like your hair's long and curly, I'm like yeah. That'S just how the style is. You know, okay, so the ear I'm gon na hold this out and I'm gon na make sure it's long enough. We'Re gon na. Have it go over her ear a little bit and that's how you find out is bring it out here by her ear. That'S how you find out how long it needs to be okay and then I'm gon na start to angle this side. Okay, so where that's gon na go over her ear, I'm going to take a little bit off here and then you can see it's over her ear. So when you put this down, that would be okay behind your ear and then we'll we'll connect that in a minute. So this looks a little long. So I'm going to take this in a little. You can also check that when we dry okay and then back up through here, I'm gon na go down to this side now. Was it dry good, Jim, good good? It is a beautiful day. I talked to one of my di PS from Boston this morning on the phone and she said it was about ready to rain. I was like oh it's all sunshine here. Okay and aside, that's gon na feel good. Just have that length off you're gon na go to wash. It me like right and, of course, down at the bottom, we're going to angle those fingers in okay and then remember. I held it out like this on her ear over there and you just bring this up just trim that up and then we'll connect to that in midnight. Okay, now the top coming straight across now we're not going like super short like you can see those see. Those fall out right there, that's the length of her being so I'm not taking it any shorter than the length it already is. I will kind of go through and texturize it, but I'm not gon na take any length off. We are on the top, but just not the front. Okay, now so the ear she wants it over the ear little so we're gon na take the section by her ear and hold it this way. So we know that that's already gon na be over her ear, because that's the hair that I left on her ear back here, so we're gon na take from that and we're gon na. Take the hair off come up like that and then I'm gon na barely start turning and coming to the middle link right here. Okay, so again, we'll do that we'll grab this front area and hold that out point cut into this okay hold that down. Are you doing good yeah? Alright, awesome, awesome! Okay, now I'm gon na just bring this up on an angle a little bit because she definitely wanted some length off of it, but she still wants it over her ears. I'M just gon na trim that in there that's what I mean by connecting it is that back and around here and then we're gon na just hold that down now. Of course we want this a little bit PC, so I'm going to come in and take and open and close my shears a little bit at a time. Okay, so that piece is that out? Okay, now we'll do the bangs in a second I'm gon na. Do this other side to match she's going to hold this out and of course, so this hair back here that I had we're going to connect that and take all of that up to the layer that was on the top and you can see that's the layer. That'S how you connect it. Okay, so hold this out! You go up and of course I can come around this way to show you how to connect, see that that's where it's cut and that's where it's cut so we're just gon na take that little corner off. It'S getting closer, you think I was like my tenth haircut. I'M so excited we don't love it change. Is so good. Isn'T it okay, so bringing that over the ear trimming that and then come down, then we want to piece this out. So you can see. I leave a little bit out and then I go up in and cut some a little shorter. Okay, now the front i just want to barely take a little bit off, i'm going to come on the ends, but then i want them not just straight across, obviously, because i want a longer like this. So that's why i'm just barely taking those ends up, but i do want it pieced out, so i'm taking little tiny pieces throughout there. Oh so cute! Okay, now I'm gon na hold these down. So you can see this light. The tiny bit longer you're, just gon na, take a little bit more off. Okay, yeah all right now, after that's good, just check just pull out both sides check and see along on this side. I'M gon na take that and you can just see that you know when you're, obviously holding on the hair longer Oh see, there's that little corner. It'S not funny it's funny when you feel with it and then you go back in you're like oh yeah, there's a little corner so yeah, that's like the always a great idea to double check your work. Alright! Now she goes to this leg, so I'm not gon na um put texture like right in her part right, so I'm gon na kind of come up here and through the back bit through the back. Some people get a little scared about this, but this sorry this will help your hair be fuller. A lot of people are like. Oh, I have fine thin hair and I'm like. No, you really need this. I promise I promise it will help. So I just turn their head and I do a little bit and it really helps Kate. Now, I'm really excited to style the root lifter we're obviously gon na want, through the top through this area, cause she's gon na want some fullness. That'S going to be different. Heavier hair, like then the mousse just one squirt, then with Paddy's hair, I'm gon na put some thickening spray. Okay, now I usually usually show curl her hair, and I did it short enough, but long enough to not be like too short, but so it should be really easy for her with like an epic brush or a paddle brush or something [ Applause, ] right back Down grab an epic grudge or a paddle drug. I love that ethics is the air through it. So you can show the brush of getting the air through it so you're. Actually, why you're going back? Okay, then? What I'm gon na do I'm gon na take a little bit of the clay just a little. She doesn't like it really spiky like she likes a little lift up here, but not really like spiky. So, but this is gon na be cute too PC just PC. Yes, just PC, like the separation, then of course we're going to lift a little bit with the with the clay and then when we're done howdy. If you want more, you know like more piecing us through the front or the sides or something we for sure can now. I am gon na. You know separate all this too, but I'm gon na backcomb it and kind of set it down. So it's not real spiky, but it's definitely separated okay, so the epic comb I just come up in a backcomb it which is down in and out like this as he shape. Then I just like to spray where I back combed and Paddy you love this hairspray, because it's not sticky, but it's really gon na hold so like tonight. Your hair will still be the same spot, but it'll feel soft yeah and then the morning just push it back place really makes a difference. You can see how that that's a little fuller, I'm just putting putting this into place and then back coming here. The sides a little oh, my just back home, her ear, sorry darn it so cute. Okay, now I'm going to show you this, but I'm gon na hide her hobbies. Okay, now we'll go to the other side and Patti. What I did is, I left the very bottom layer of your bangs just down, and then I back homes a little section right above it. So it's not just all flat in the front that you'll have some of that body up above it. Oh got a hair straight hair, straighteners Darnell did we get it? Did you get? It is that okay, all right good? Okay, I'm just gon na come around this face, so I can see. Oh okay, I'm really excited too little. This is here. Okay. I didn't okay spree, then we're gon na show her and I haven't seen in the mirror, yet neither so I'm just kind of looking at me, so I might change it a little okay here we go here. How does it feel what about like? Is it good over your ears, okay, so we're just chatting of what she liked and what we needed to change a little. She just wants it more PC around her face, so the sides I'm gon na peace out just a little bit more. Didn'T you come on this side. Sorry there we go we're gon na just pace these out a little more, so I'm cutting different, obviously links in there. So we can piece that out and then a little bit interbase and then, of course, I'm going to come in with the clay and and really show how this pieces it out, because that's what makes a style really fun. This is sorry good. There you go good girl, thank you, she's, taking care of me. Okay. Now it's checking! Yes, he's standing out. Okay, so you feel like we have the different links in there. You know we just need a little bit more clay to piece it out to show the different pieces. You can hear my nails, scratching or whatever hitting against each other. Can we turn you this place? We can see it more there. We go. Okay, that's that's! What we're liking? No more PC? Okay! Now let me show you that okay back here, you know, but then but yeah yeah, that's a great idea, let's just yeah, or does that feel good, because you have this in front: okay, okay, okay! Anything else like can you! I just like to this: this is: what's fun, you know you just walk through your haircuts. If you feel like you need a little something you know just add it keep cutting and keep that only keep spraying whatever you need to do. Just keep going. I'M gon na just turn her around, so you guys can see this cute back and how it's a little fuller through here, but it's tight at the bottom so and then she's just tucking a little bit behind your ear right here. So, okay, so cute linear. All right, oh for sure, yeah just play with it a little more see that see. Maybe that's what it needed is a little more of this. I didn't dare spike it too much because I didn't you know she didn't is not like it Yeah right right like this, because it gives it some yeah super cute. Okay, are you good with that with here? I need help my hair off your face. Okay, guys. Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate your your support and I'm so glad that Patti come down and it's fun to meet her, and I hope you enjoyed the haircut. How are you day, nice [ Applause, ]
