Trying A Wash And Go With Mousse Only On My Type 4 Hair!!!

Right baby girl, you know, hey guys, welcome back to my channel and in today's video we are going to be attempting attempting a wash and go with moose. Only I've been seeing this trending for honestly, like a couple months, maybe a year really in 2022, and I was like you know what let me give it a try, since I am wearing my hair out for the next couple of days before I wash my hair. This will actually be my first wash and go in two years, so that's gon na be interesting to see, but I'm honestly kind of excited all right guys before we get started. My hair is about six weeks old, you guys so for the first month I wore my hair in wigs, but then I also did like this cute claw clip style, which is on my Instagram. If you want to check it out, um with my hair, and so basically my hair is just pretty old and pretty dirty. So actually, yesterday I actually took my hair down out of that style and I detangled it - and I just put it into this bun and my hair is so thick, so I could braid it in two braids and then wrap the braids around itself to make a Bun because it's just not gon na work in any other way, but my hair is fully detangled, but it's just basically dirty like. I can just feel how much product is on it, because it has all that gel and stuff from the slickback hairstyle. Okay, so I know for me the key to getting a really really defined wash and go is for my hair to be clean, so I am not going to wash my hair, though right now, because I have another video I want to film for you guys, but I am going to go into the shower and just drench my hair with water and remove as much product off of my hair as possible, and I think it will be just fine. So let's go do that I'm outside two times all right guys. So my hair is fully wet. It'S fully soaked. I just had it in this bun while I finished taking a shower, but let's go ahead and take this out. Okay. This is so weird because I've never actually done my hair without applying like a leave-in conditioner or anything like that all right. So today the mousse are going to be using is a lot of body curl defining moves, so I really wanted to do this with the Duke of the finding mousse, but I literally couldn't find it anywhere. I went to Walmart Target and Sally's and I could not find it. It was like sold out everywhere and I was gon na order it, but it was just gon na take too long to come in. So I was like let's go with this one, but I probably will do that one later, so that might be a video we can do later on. First, I'm just going to slip my hair into sections, and I also have my water bottle here, because my hair is going to get dry as I go so just to re-wet it to make sure it's soaking wet to get the best definition. We'Re gon na keep this on standby. One thing I'm happy about is my hair is pretty detangled, so detangling it before I wet it yesterday really did help. Otherwise it would have been a lot more difficult to do this. Hairstyle. Okay, I don't know how small sections to do so, we're just going to start with this little piece right here, so I am going to spray it with a little bit more water. Just so it's super wet, then we're going to take our move. I guess I don't know how much to take all right, we'll just take like this much. I guess and let's see oh yeah. This is way too much moves. Make sure I get my roots because my roots are always the puffiest and when I do wash and goes I like to do the rake method, I don't like to use a detangling brush because it just separates my hair too much. This mousse smells really really good, though like um kind of sugar, it smells amazing, oh okay, so it definitely is defining my hair. I did not expect that. I don't know if I want to keep it in really big clumps or do like a shingling method. I think we're just going to keep it in clumps, because it's still finding my hair, but I can already tell I'm gon na - have way more volume from the start than I normally do. It'S not as defined as gel we're. Just that's just a given. So I think I'm gon na just keep with the raking and then kind of like smoothing it. Maybe I don't know I just don't want to like separate my hair too much. Okay, that's not bad actually actually looks really good all right. Well, I guess we just keep going I'm outside and I am foreign. Where did, I believe, certain things baby girl? You know me understand baby, okay, guys, so I've finished applying all the moves. It really took me like 20 minutes. It didn't even take that long um and I will say that I am shocked at how to find my hair got. I did not expect it to Define my hair this well, so the only drawback to this is, I have a lot of volume while my hair is still wet, which means I'm probably not going to get as much definition as I'm used to even wash and go Because either you get definition or you get volume, and I prefer definition and then let my hair get voluminous after a couple days. I don't like my hair drying in my face because it just creates a weird shape, so I'm gon na do is just kind of push my hair back in the front and then take a clip and just clip it from the other one. So my hair typically takes about 24 hours to dry, but I don't think it's going to take that long, since I only put the mousse in my hair and it's pretty lightweight, but my hair is still pretty wet, so I'm gon na do is I'm just gon Na come back once it's dry and just show you guys the final look all right, so we're back. It'S been about three hours. Actually, since I finished uh the wash and go um, so it took about an hour and a half to start like dripping and get like damp and then, after that, I put it in this pineapple. In my scarf that way, I could lay down on one TV, because I don't want to be laying on my hair until I can finish drying. So, let's see all right, let's shake it out. My hair smells good. Oh okay, um! My rooms are like a tad bit damp, but everything else is pretty much dry and I'm gon na have to say I'm not a fan, don't get me wrong like we can see some definition. We can see the curls and stuff, but this is like what my wash and goes look like, like my regular ones, with gel like after, like day, seven like this is it doesn't have as much definition as I like. You can see like the roots and stuff. Are puffy and it's just not giving and then also the whole thing with shrinkage like this is absolutely ridiculous, like what the heck, why is my hair shrinking so much yo, it's like legit down there and it shrinks all the way up. I mean we can blame it on the loose and be like. Oh, you should have probably used the dough at work better, but let's be freaking for real. This is just not a good Styler or a good definer for my type of hair and, to be fair, I mean I've seen plenty of type four girls that do it and y'all might actually be fine with these results. Some of y'all might really like this, but me personally, I don't like this um, it is soft and it is, you know it feels nice and my hair doesn't feel dry or anything. It just doesn't look good. This is not what I like when I do wash and goes. It'S gon na have to be a hard pass for me. Unfortunately, okay, so I just had an idea. I think I can salvage this by putting it in a puff, so I'm gon na go ahead and do that and I'll put like how I do it on Instagram and tick tocks, I'm about to film it um, but yeah. I'M gon na come back here, and hopefully it would look a lot better than what it is right now so I'll be back okay guys, so we saved it. We saved it. I just flicked it back with some Eco styler and then uh defined the ends of the puff with the eagle Styler um. It looks kind of weird right now, but once it dries, it's gon na be topped here, because it's gon na get all the volume that it needs and everything but yeah. I did not like that wash and go if you like it great, but me personally, I think I'ma stick to gel. I just don't think that with my hair texture, it doesn't do what I wanted to do and it doesn't give me the results that I wanted to give all right guys.
