Hello, my lovelies it's Nisha, so many of you keep asking me to show you how I put my hair up. I'M sure I've done various videos of me putting my hair up, but this is probably the latest way how I do it. I wear my hair up. An awful lot, I have very fine flat hair, so if I wash it and style it, it only looks nice that day. So then, for the next couple of days I put it up, but sometimes I like to just put my hair up the first day I wash it like today, I've just washed my hair, dried it, and I will show you what I do to it before. I put my hair up because, yes, I could just grab it up and put it up. As you can see, it's all flat. It'S got no body. I would just straighten this bit and I do that a lot. If I'm not filming or I'm not going anywhere, it doesn't matter, I can just put that hair saves me using any heat on it. But if I want my hair to look nicer, unfortunately, I have to do stuff to it, so I will be using the volume crimper. This is to build the scaffolding underneath for more body and I will be using straightening irons now. I will speed up through this because not long ago I did a video how I style my hair and all these steps are in that video. So I will link it here. I have actually whole playlist of all sorts of hair styling because you know we change and we style our hair differently or we find new ways of doing it on your products. So there is lots of videos in there, but I will leave you a video linked. So you can see how I get to the stage when I'm ready to put my hair up. The only difference is when I'm styling my hair for putting it up. I am not so precise with the straightener. I don't do as many sections, because it doesn't matter. I just basically want my ends to be straight and the bits around my face that will be hanging down. So just let me go around my head with this and then quickly straighten my hair, and I will be back to show you the actual, putting hair a bit foreign. Can you see how much volume that gives me straight away and I need it because then, when I put my hair up, it would be nice and big. So now I'm quickly going to straighten my hair around, especially those beads here at the front, and I will be back foreign. Can you see I've got loads of volume with that crimping underneath you need to wait for it to completely cool down not to the stair bed, but that's not all. Now I have to gently backcome the crown of my head. Yes, it's a lot of work. Don'T tell me, don't ask me to show you how I do my hair and then come and moan about it. That'S what it takes to look like it does. Okay, you will need a hairspray. I have the Paul Mitchell extra body, finishing spray. Oh, I use the Masterpiece from TG Bed Head um. I might use this one today, the brush I'm using for this I mean you can do it with backcombing comb with one of those. I'Ve got one like this. That is back on income, but I feel like this is a bit gentler, so this is um Denman brush it's a little one. I think I found it for you online somewhere, but I cannot tell online if it's small or big. I think you might say that it's petite or small, or something like that um, if you have a big one, that's fine, but this one's got like a mixture of natural and plastic bristles. So what I do I take first, the section from the back, the one that I already have crimped and I go very gently like just twice through it spray it with this spray. The thing is, it would work without me doing all this backcombing, but the problem is with my fine hair. If I don't do all this after a couple of hours, it will just all collapse on itself, so this is to last and it will last me. Finally, two days to be honest, and then this front section here, then I take beds - I'm not touching the front here, because this is gon na hang down. I just do the sides and I do them this way, because that's the way my hair is gon na. Go so I'm not backcombing underneath, so it goes this way, I'm doing at the back of the hair, because it's going to be going this way. I hope that makes sense, and then I take another section here very, very thin, because there's not much hair here, tiny bit of Hairspray. You know there could be a better way of doing this, but I'm not a hairdresser. So I do it my own way right. Beautiful, so I'm going to wait for this hairspray to dry, while I'm waiting for this hairspray to dry, I will tell you: I only use this clip now when you're choosing that clip, especially if you have fine thin hair. Like me, you need a very small clip. I will measure it later and I will put in the description box how long it is another important thing is how the teeth close. How can I show you this? Sometimes you have teeth. They'Re close like this. You can actually see them. Sticking out like this. That'S not what you want. Can you see this is they are not sticking out? They are just overlapping themselves and another thing is this hole this hole here? It has to be as small as possible because that's where your hair goes and if you choose one of these big Clips, they have a very big hole here. Your hair is just going to slip out of it. So that's if you've got fine thin hair, mind you. This is probably for people with fine thin hair, because if you've got thick hair, you wouldn't need to do all this. I got this in Claire's accessories. I don't know if they still sell them. I have about six of them because this works the best. For me, the best way is to go to a like a hair accessory shop and see it in real life to know what to buy, because it's very difficult online to to see how big the clip is. Yes, they might give you the length of it, but you don't know how big the hole is. If I still find it on Claire's, I will put it in the description box. Okay, this is dry now very gently. I'M going to brush it down just to smooth the top of it, brushing it sort of back, and now I can see that this is a bit flat, that I can put it a bit more backcombing here. I know it's very strategic. That'S how I do everything. My makeup i j whenever I trim my hair actually, my Fringe has gone a bit long. I need to trim that again. I just look at it and I look where things need to be fixed. That is some hair. Isn'T it okay lioness? I have to wait for this to dry now, oh again, while I'm waiting for it to dry my haircut, my hair is all one length but, as you can see, is shaped from the face. So you know from about here and then I likely been cutting this baby little Fringe for myself, and I have a video on that as well. So have a look in that, I will link you the video, how I style my hair like this and then underneath. I will link the whole playlist of my hair styling and you will see in me cutting baby Fringe and I like to have my hair shaped. It suits my face shape anyway, but also if this was all one length and this hair is the thinnest as well on me, and I put my hair up and leave this bit down. They would just hang like two strings. You know, whereas, when you have a bit of shape, it looks better right again. This brush is really good, because if you just go very gently done brush through it really hard, so you brush out that um back combing and everything it'd be mess at the back. But that doesn't matter because we, obviously if I was leaving it down, I would go to another mirror and sort it out, but we are not leaving it down. Okay, I'm ready, so I'm already leaving these shorter beds that you can see. I'M grabbing my hair into sorts of a low ponytail, so this is very important. Don'T grab your hair all up like this? It has to go down on the sides like this make sure this is all smells, so you grab it like this into a ponytail, and now I am going to twist it a couple of times and clip it, and then you turn around. You can then hold this here. I hope you can see it open your clip and push it even higher. That will give you even bigger, and then you just try to arrange it. I sometimes pull my little bits off her here, smooth this. I didn't do it that well, because I wasn't looking in the mirror. I was looking. I turned around right yeah and that's it that's all I do. I don't know what it looks like at the back. Frankly, I don't give a damn, because I'm not looking at myself from the back. I just care about the front. So that's how I do it and you see you saw me at the beginning when I, without doing anything to my hair, when I pulled it up, it was all flat here. So I do this another way. Sometimes you might see my my little ends of the hair sticking out here so the first day, because my hair is so fluffy and all that scaffolding is there. I can do it just like that, and it's very secure because of that scaffolding tomorrow. It might still be okay. This scaffolding might be still there, but sometimes it isn't. You know I've slept on it. Maybe the weather was a bit wet so um. I lost that scaffolding the next day. I do it with a elastic, so I make a ponytail. I bring it up and then I secure it with the clip, because when I have ponytail in my hair I can then pull out bits of hair to make it bigger, because this one look as nice. I don't think tomorrow, like it does from the beginning. So I actually filmed myself on another day when my hair was like second or third day and it's gone flatter, and I will show you in that video how I do it with the elastic band. So have a look at that hi. This is the future me. So this is my third day hair. Now, as you can see from all that's what I did discovered in the call me back coming, it still has lots of volume. Another reason for that is that I had my Roots done not long ago and every time you bleach your hair, it swells up, and it has more body anyway. Also I don't ever brush the top of my hair from the moment. You know I first style it when I go to bed. I don't brush that at all, because I don't want to brush out um the body, the scaffolding I just brush my ends. I haven't brushed my hair. This is how I woke up. I did my makeup. So I suppose, because of that, I could still do it the same way. You see it still works, but I will show you how I do it with the ponytail, because, as soon as my roots get a bit longer, my hair gets flatter and that scaffolding doesn't hold for as long, and I would definitely have to do this. So I take one of these elastics and again that clip I very gently brush the top. I don't go right in and then I'm going to the same way I'll leave some hair here. Um brushing this hair down again, remember not to brush it up, we're not doing like a ponytail on the top of our head, but I'm going to bring it a bit higher. You know, with the other one I put the ponytail really low. This is going a bit higher, I'm still trying to maintain this bump. Here I will put this in a ponytail quite tight, and now I am going to tighten it while I'm moving the ponytail up. Can you see now you see this is too tight. Now I'm holding this so not all my hair falls out and I'm going to start pulling the hair out a bit. So it's not so tight on this side and then I tighten it again because, while you're pulling the hair is gon na come out, it's gon na get looser and you know, if I didn't have that scaffold it there, calling it scaffolding um, it would look flat. So that scaffolding is most important now I push that ponytail up and I still clip it with this to hold it tight, otherwise that ponytail, you know with weight um throughout the day we would go down - and this is how you often see me with this - like A palm tree pineapple sticking out here, I like it to be Lucy now not too overdone, and I look terrible with really flat hair to my head, because I've got very small head there. So that's how I do it with with elastic band. So, as you can see, I can wash my hair every three days. This hair will probably still look okay tomorrow, but this is because I have quite fresh highlights done. You know my roots, so my head doesn't get too greasy too quickly and it doesn't collapse. It'S swollen, you know the bleach swells it up, so it has more volume. Okay back to the past me, so this is how I put my hair up. All of it is a lot of work, but unfortunately, when you have hair like mine - and you want to want it to look always done, that's what you have to do. Well, I do it anyway. I hope you found this video helpful and you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for watching and stay fabulous. Bye.

Lovely: "don't ask me how I do it then complain it's too much work"...love that you call it as it is!!! xo

Denise Scott: I SO appreciate your hair tutorials! I have your exact type of hair and they are so helpful!! My daughter's wedding is coming up...I was debating whether to have my hair professionally done, or do it myself. This may give me the courage to do it myself!

Deborah Rosen: Thank you Nisha for sharing this! I want to try and do this as i bought the crimping device! it looks a little bit intimidating but WELL worth it ! You always looks so sophisticated when you wear your hair up ❤. I’m impressed that your “scaffolding” lasts 3 days!! This makes it worth the effort. xoxo Deb

sdraper2011: This was really helpful for us finehairs, thank you!

Danièle Gagnon: Hi Nisha! I'm sure many people will love to reproduce this hairstyle! I have friends with very fine hair like you! I have very long and thick hair and I often do research to find different hairstyles. Have a great week! xxx

And I think you are gorgeous!!! I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos!!! Thank you, Nisha, you're fabulous!!!

Nina Thomson: It’s amazing how much hair you appear to have after crimping and applying hairspray etc…. It more than doubled in volume and looked fantastic! Loved this video Nisha, hope you’re having a great week xx

anitasings1: Beautiful! The best, easiest to understand tutorial! My hair is fine, as is yours. I need to find those clips! Thank you so much♥

Karen Wertz: Loved this video…..I have the same type of hair and it’s very frustrating. I guess we all have our hair issues! Thank you Nisha!

Paula Hutchins: Fabulous ... I had mine cut up at the back and it's now getting long enough to tie up xx

Donna Stevens: Hi Nisha Thank you so much love your hair tutorials and yes you are right does take lots of preparation going out to a special event next few weeks so you have shown me big thank you sweetie you were meant to be a hairdresser and makeup artist Love Donna xoxo

Sue Anderson: I have stick straight very fine hair that’s the same length as yours. I also put it up in a really similar way but with tons more backcombing as I don’t have a crimped. Will have to look into a cheap one on Amazon. And totally agree on the clip size. I’ve given so many away that were too large and wouldn’t hold my hair! Great video !

Town and Country Style: Thank you for this video! I know what I was doing wrong now. I was trying to pull into high ponytail instead of low pony tail. :)

Andrea R: Thank you for sharing this! It is so helpful! Question, what products do you use to keep your hair from drying out and breaking with your highlights?

gym princess: Looks lovely!! Beauty takes work and the work pays off..gorgeous! My hair is a royal pain in the @$$...,but with effort, it looks great. Thanks for sharing your tips.

catherine lamarre: Hi Nisha , I have thick hair and I sometimes wish it was thinner , it did get thinner when I first started my menopause but not now . Your hair looks amazing up and down but you really have to put time in to it but you are probably used to it ,thanks for sharing huni stay fabulous ,big hugs Katie

Rita Sagri: I hear you. I have exactly the same hair and do back comb alot. So this is saved for next hair up. You explain your method very well. Thank you so much for your inspiration. Love your topa in this video too. Coming from Beautiful Macedon Ranges Victoria Australia.⚘❤

Beverly Nelson: Hi Nisha! Thanks for this video. I like your hair on the 3rd day, just left down! Also, when you pull your hair back away from your face, you really look good without the bits on the sides. Show that beautiful face!

Nancy Andrews: Love the Way You Put Your Hair Up. Many Thanks ❣️ Nancy

Judy Lee: So that’s how you stay drop dead gorgeous. Very helpful going to try this next time I put my hair up off my neck. My hair is thinner than yours and looks very stringy when I let it grow out.❤❤❤❤

BC: Nisha, good night! I woke up in the middle of the night, got sick, drank powders for colds all day, dripped my nose, and slept from this powder and sweated so much that I couldn’t wake up, now it’s easier, so remembering that I have your video that I haven’t watched, I decided that you can afford this pleasure - to see you. Your hair is very obedient, and your hands grow from the right place - you know how to do everything, always with hair, makeup and a good manicure. I like your hair color, it suits you very much, I'm tired of my black color, but my hairdresser said that if I change the color, then I will have to do it all the time at the master, but this is not cheap for me and therefore I choose black paint, because it covers my gray hair well, but I would like to change my hair color to lighter, although my master hairdresser says that my hair color is black and it makes me bright and my face is not lost against their background. Don't know. The other day I passed by a wig store, very beautiful, I should probably go in and try on different colors of wigs. But I’m tired of black, although this, xiati, is your natural hair color, but I can’t imagine you with black hair, although I saw it in the photo, you showed it and I think that your blond suits you more. And you are bright with this hair. Thank you. You are always beautiful. ххх

Rhonda Hunt: Farrah Fawcet's mother once said Farrah didn't care what the back of her head looked like as long as the front looked good! I laughed so hard when you said basically the same thing!!

Kim Hough: You can outdo any big haired Texas girl Nisha! Lol! I can’t get the back combing to stay in my hair…I’m going to try it again in the morning!

Sandra G. McAlister: Love your hair up, it's really pretty on you, also your lipstick shade is really pretty too. You probably have already done a makeup video showing this shade, i can't remember lol, anyhoo it's a really pretty shade on you. Hugs sweetie, ♥️

Saundra Moragne: Looks good!! I love the big hair….so sixty’s!! Your lipstick is on point!! Beautiful!!

Patti Cake: lovely and great advice

_ DeWinther: Thanks, Love it

Lara Petty: I am cracking up at the backcombed look before you clip it up!! Love your videos!!!

Josie: Leave it as a ponytale it looks beautiful on you. Iv been in australia back in uk now. Catching up your videos. Hoping Louis is well and your mum in Spain too. My arms would bloody ache trying to put up scaffolding lol.

Lorraine Mortimer: Many thanks Misha this really helps me -

Mysta Chambers: Good morning Nisha, I just love how you do your up style hairdo. You are truly beautiful. Have a blessed day. XXOO

Barbara Burnett: Wonderful ❤

jen han: Great tips Nisha thank you x

Rocky: I have the same type of hair, very straight, very fine, and doesn't hold body. And if it's damp out, any curl or teasing I do, it goes flat. I like that crimping tool as that did make a difference for the lift or scaffolding. That is so cute. When my hair starts to dry, then I spray and scrunch my hair or put a crocheted cap on and spray it again to get the fullness or beachy waves while it is still damp. so I get what you mean about dying the hair or not washing it every night. Forget using conditioner as that will make my hair way too soft. But I need to wait until my hair is almost dry and spray and scrunch it or put it in the net and let it dry all the way. That gives me waves and body. What us women go through!!!!

Tammy ODonnell: Nisha, I hope you see this. I agree about bleaching your hair to give it more body. My roots are grayish. When I get a darker root touch up to cover my grays it goes flat and gets dirty way to fast. Do you bleach your roots first and then go back and put a darker color over the bleached roots? And does that still give it body at the roots? Hope I’m making sense ;) Tammy

Catherine Peters: I love watching you Nisha, you do make me laugh, that style is just beautiful x

Daniela-Maureen Mennong: Hello Nisha, first greetings from Germany. Wow you really do a lot of work. But I think everyone has their little tricks. Thanks for showing us yours, I'll try that too. I thought it was so cute, you reminded me of Till Eulenspiegel with your backcombed open hair, so cute. All the best to you from Hannover Daniela

Deborah Keleman: Thank you from a fine haired grandma!

Theresa Hill: Thank you for doing this video!!

Ruth Torphy: Excellent tutorial, Nisha.

Cindy Holt: Neisha I love the way I do it hair, I put mine up like that to without teasing, think I will put some ump in it love it, it's gorgeous and so are you. Much love God Bless

Elaine Lang: Thank you Nisha great ideas for hair up do from you; I use a dry shampoo at the roots with backcombing and hair lacquer my hair is very fine like yours..Elaine Yorkshire..x

Alison Sweeney: You look amazing, Fabulous make up too.xx

D W: Looks beautiful Nisha ‼️

Joan Nogas: Most excellent video Nisha. What width crimper do you use? 1", 1 1/2"?. I have fine thin hair but longer than yours. I always wear it in a side pony. Straight for every day and curled for events. I love the poofed effect. However, no way can I back comb my hair. It just tangles too easily. Thank you for all you do. loved your MAC foundation video.

🌺 Always be true 🌺: Why do you look younger & more beautiful every time I watch a vid your like fine wine

Christine Kirsch: Scaffolding hee, hee. I too have fine, thin hair. I never knew they had clips like that. I've always bought the pointy ones. My scalp will greatly thank you. You will hear it thanking you clear in the U.S.

cathy amerine: Love It! Do you consider yourself cool or warm tone, your makeup is always so beautiful.

Cindy Vanderberry: Wears me out watching you fix your hair! You’ve come up with something that works for you. Thankfully, you have the hours in your day that it takes to do your hair and makeup.

Stuart Pierce: I have to practice this more. Thanks Nisha Jennifer

Amy Rutherford-Close: So pretty

Joanne Monk: Lovely

Violet Holbrook: You are such a pretty lady, you look beautiful with everything you do. Lucky lady
