Dream Coat For Curly Hair? Hairstylist Tries It Out!

Omg hi, hey Glam fam. How are you don't ask why my head looks like this, because it's I'm gon na tell you why? Okay, so look this product here it was trending on the tiki Tiki. Let me see if you can see it, can you see it? You can see yourself you're the camera. This product is called Dreamcoat. It was trending on tiki Tiki, I'm not gon na review it today, though, but people have been asking me to so. I got that to review, but while I was in the store looking at this color while Dreamcoat, I saw that they had this one here. I know it probably looks like I held the same bottle. They are different bottles like I don't know. If you can tell the difference this, one here is a little more Gray, colored uh and you know the white lettering versus the black lettering, but this one is supposed to be for curly hair. Now I was like hmm again, like I said: we'll worry about this. One later um, but I saw this one for curly hair and it says Miracle moisture Mist - creates the perfect frizz-free curls okay. Now this is curls. Is this curls business curls and I'm really particular about products being moisturizing all that so I'm gon na end up trying this on me today, I'm already a little worried and concerned to be quite honest with you. Okay, so let me let me go through this, what it says with you: it says it is a weightless moisturizing spray that does all of the combined work of outdated, overweight, curl formulas. This light spray replaces sticky gels, slimy, serums, heavy creams, just spray and air dry for perfectly bundled frizz, free, curls, so much better than natural they're super natural. It was actually in all caps. Usually I would screen that, but I've got a mic on. I don't want to scream Supernatural in your ear. You know trying to be considerate. The directions, however, say after shampooing or wetting the hair, remove excess, moisture comb if desired, gray, hair liberally section by section until soaked, making sure to spray underneath section air dry or blow dry using a diffuser. Now it's one thing: I've noticed about both of these products. They tell you to use it liberally. The difference is the one that's for straightening hair says it lasts three to four shampoo. This one doesn't make those type of promises. So I'm a little concerned when you're telling me to use it liberally and you're telling me to use it in place of any gel. But here we are so I've never utilized a liquid product to saturate my hair, as the only Styler. But I guess today is going to be the day. Okay and then I don't know if that's considered enough just pull that through. I feel like I got more on my scalp than I did on my hair and okay. I feel like I can. Okay, that's part of up here. I can kind of feel that it's on there, it does not feel slimy, but you can feel the presence of it on here. The smell is a smell. It'S not like. Oh, this smells amazing, but it's also not like whose booty hole is this hello, I'm about to get demonetized? How big should these sections be? I probably should have figured all this out before I decided, like you know what I'm gon na film this, but let's be real we're family. You can watch me struggle, it's okay for those who do not know. I am a bald-headed, how I mean the gardening tool? Again, don't want to get demonetized, I don't mean so anything that says lightweight is usually a good thing for me as long. Oh I'm sorry, I put that on your ear and I go back to ASMR not put this against the mic. Okay, usually sounds nice. So long as it has some measure of hold, because I appreciate hold is a good thing and if I don't, if I don't have it, I was like who did it and why, after blinking, twice and possibly sitting down the couch and letting my my head, have The nerve to hit anything other than air, and sometimes even the air will be like we're not doing that underneath. This is a shuttle what's happening, you're literally just spraying liquid in your hair, I'm gon na be honest right now. This is not feeling promising dang. I feel like I need. I need a different level sprayer. If this had like a situation. I think it would be so much better. So if I don't know if Dream Coat, Color Wow, whoever, if y'all, are watching that's my critique because this bottle here it gets a little slippery and I feel like if my hands are damp or wet at all, which, since I have to apply this wet, it Makes it a little challenging to ensure that it's not sliding? Oh, it's going down my arm. That'S a precious commodity! That'S Infinity billion dollars worth of product rolling down and get it off during the week. Oh Lord, this isn't going to control my edges. Uh! I'M gon na look like a frizzy, unwanted unkept child, that's probably the wild. I did um again. We need a different sprayer for this a whole different sprayer like color wow, I'm not gon na, say like I like the product, but because I haven't really seen the outcome of the product. Yet, however, comma I'm going to give you critiques as I go, I guess I mean it's. It would be nice if, at the end of this, I was like oh my way, but Lord right now, right now, baby Jesus be a fence think. Why am I so about headed? I'M sorry if y'all thought this was gon na, be a professional video. I am a professional. I really am a licensed cosmetologist, but um, I'm just as clueless about this Pro like most of the time people use stuff like this and they're like. Let me try it on a mannequin first and I'm just over here. Like you know what let me put myself Through Torture, I look like a bald-headed huzzy anyway, so I might as well just go ahead and try whatever. What'S It Gon na Hurt um, you know, honestly, that section doesn't look bad. It is actually clumping the curls together. Some it's just, it doesn't feel. I think some of what it is. I like the slimy feel of like gels and creams like all the stuff that they were complaining about in this bottle. Where they're like this doesn't have seeds. We give natural flavor, I'm like when hail to season. I'M sorry, it's my day off. So you know what you can complain to the supervisor. If you want to his name, is Linwood hold on because the Jesus help section the Jesus help section likes: okay, okay, the Jesus help section is hard to please um. That'S the first promising thing I feel like I've, Lord, it ain't the sprayer. I need an adult. I need the help of an adult. This just feels like a lot of product I'm having to put in here to coat with hair. I need a tutorial from the company on like curls coils Kinks. Is this for Carl's coils Kings or is this for like curls? Is this for like kernels, you know what I'm saying like the people right there doing like this and then they're like those little bins that are in there that don't even look like waves. Is that who we're talking about? This is why companies never work with you. Language. This is why, okay, so one of the things I'm basing it off, I like y'all, see my ends, I'm basing it off of how they don't Clump together. My hair freezes out quite a bit as it dries. So I understand that someone watching this is going to be like Glenwood. You don't even need no product in your hair. The devil is alive. So are you, okay, um? What we're not gon na do today is argue your semantics about my hair, not needing product. When you ain't got to deal with this matted head all four strands over here matted, because I wanted to play around and put nothing in my hair um, you don't got ta deal with the broken off here. So this I don't know if you can see how it's freezing already and as it dries that risk spreads out more and all of that, so I am looking at the difference between like how it is clumping together here versus here. I can feel some difference on the hair. I just don't know if it's going to be enough, I tend to like creams and things like that, which you would think that I wouldn't because again too much team, not enough all the teams. I'M gon na tell you this most of your family is going to think that you're either gon na be rich after one video, which I hate to break it to you or not you're, not or they think that um it's a complete waste of time. It'S not going to go anywhere and my a lot of my people around me were the second half and now they're like oh, you got your fabians and I might tell them in my pocketbook. You know um people over here. Like can you review this product? I saw so and so review it and I don't really trust them, I'm like they have Infinity billion subscribers. They can afford that. I can't afford that 700 item that you want me to review. So naturally I was like. Let me go get the well. I think this is 20, something that's on behind, for I mean Jesus this sprayer. I know that probably seemed like uh-uh, but it didn't feel sticky going on, but my hands feel sticky, which means there may be some longevity to the clumping. Okay. The plus side is that my hair only took like an hour to dry, which is likely because it is a liquid. This is the present shine and things on the hair. So the shine is nice, I'm gon na. Let you see the back. Let me see if I can get a little closer for you hold on without taking up the whole camera. Here'S the back. Hopefully it's focusing on this and not on the background, because my camera will be playing games. If I look look at the shake, the shake is nice, however comma the level of lumpiness that my head presently looks like that's not nice, so we need to go ahead and do some of this, because I would never walk around with this here. Additionally, I feel like the bowel headedness is showing um. The shrinkage is very real um. I must not have saturated that area as well, because I am catching some frizz there and honestly. I can feel a difference in the hole there. So I'm assuming that when they say deliberately apply it, they were not playing games like surely you see the difference in definition here and here, but not here? Okay, so they were not playing when they said to liberally apply. I don't ever wear my hair like this. So I'm gon na go ahead and break the cast like I always would with any other product, because I don't like to look well-headed hold on, doesn't look flaky. No, I was just seeing a little stuff flying in it. There um anytime, that I'm breaking the cast off my hair. I just run my hands over it, then from now I'll go through kind of massage the scalp and pull this just kind of helps to show my length a little more child Heap out, pull pull. I am not feeling all this stuff lying around in the air Jesus. Let me massage it. Let'S go and need some separation at discount, because again he ain't got no hair like this. Hair is full of deception in life, so you guys are literally seeing me put the deception in place. I will say all this stuff lying around in the air. Has me a little nervous like there's literally like it's, not quite the size of flakes, so I'm hopeful that it's not going to show in my hair, but is it showing other flakes? Is everything hold on? I got ta look in the mirror, real, quick and I don't have a handheld mirror hold on. I do kind of have a handheld mirror it's a little bit of a flex hold on. I can see it in my hair. It looks like dust, it looks like dust should I have diffused. I just feel like if it's gon na say liberally, I need to be able to touch my weave throughout the day and for it not to be looking like dust like this is. This is why companies don't ever work with you. This is why you have no sponsorships this right here. I don't know, and I'm sure someone will still be like your hair looks good. You tripping I'm sure they will, but I think what it is is like you know when you have tried other products that just agree better with your hair. It'S really difficult to look at one product and kind of like stack it just against itself, because you know what products can be and the fact that I've used, creams and gels and all sorts of stuff that have not flaked. On my hair, this little Dusty flake situation is not working and I feel like I look like Richard Simmons or something right here all right. I need to look at a mirror mirror on the wall, who's about headed, to sell them out. Okay, all right, so looking in the mirror, I can say I genuinely don't hate the way. My curls look. I think that they look good. They look really good, however comma space, the light dustiness on there, I'm not a huge fan of so I'm hoping that, like that's just the initial break, like even doing that, I don't know if y'all can see it on camera. But just doing that is throwing like this dust some of everywhere. That is the only real qualm that I have that and like that initial shrinkage was real babe because he was looking 50 Shades of bald. What is in here that may be adding to that. Okay. So I think I know what the deal is with the shrinkage. It does have glycerin in it, which can help out more so in the summer months than in the winter months, and I'm in the winter months. So we'll see how that goes. We'Ve also got hydrolyzed. Keratin, so the hydrolyzed keratin can help out with making those curls pop a bit more. That could likely be adding to why it is. The shrinkage is real, because I was like Lord. This shrinkage is no joke. Do I hate this product? No um, however, come like. I can see the dust look on here, so I don't know if you can see like those little white flakes and things I feel like if I had on a black shirt or something it would be. Looking like, I had dry scalp, not dandruff, because it's not big enough flakes but like little dry scalp situations like I had a little bit of lint - something like that on me, so that is my biggest qualm. My hair feels touchably soft. I don't know what that means in terms of longevity and wear, because again, this is just an initial situation, but here's all angles. Hopefully, the camera is focusing here and not on the background, because my camera stays playing games and I am not smart enough to understand technology. I'M not smart enough to understand technology. Well enough! Oh, to get the auto focus situation to where I'm not relying on autofocus, because I'm not that YouTuber, I'm not like I'm literally the YouTuber just bought a camera. It'S like I'm sitting in front of it and we're gon na see if it do what to do and right now it's doing what it do, but it'd be over it'd be over here and I'd be needing it to be right here. Why am I filming from this angle, like I'm supposed to live out, turn your tail back around it would that's my initial thoughts on the Color Wow dream coat for curly hair. Now I will have to see how this looks after it's left on and all that type of stuff to really be like. This is amazing. I haven't seen any other reviews on this and I'm honestly curious if it would have behaved differently if I had diffused it since I know this original one states that it has like you, you need heat. It'S heat activated. This one here does not state that it's heat activated. It says that you can air dry it or that you can diffuse. So I went with air dry because ain't nobody had time for that today, best things about it. I still got a good degree of shine on the hair. It'S touchably soft took minimal time to dry. All those are pluses I'd say. Probably the the price point is a bit high for most people. I want to say this is like 20, something bucks at most stores. I'Ve seen it at if you're, a professional. Of course you can get it for a cheaper price. So this is a professional product, but I mean it didn't so it did not lie. It is weightless, it is moisturizing. I don't know if you replaced the heavy cream from me, but you know what right now I don't have any complaints outside of the little little slightly Dusty look this. Might we look Dusty to y'all? Don'T look Dusty, you know. Sometimes you can't quite tell until you play it back in the edit and not be looking like sweet jeez. That'S what happened to someone sprinkle grits in his hair. Do I look like it's grits in my hair? You can be tough. You can be honest. You can tell me, let me know what you think and if you would try the Color Wow for curly hair at some point you can look forward to me doing the initial review on the dream coat for pressing. I don't know if I want to do that. One on my hair or not because I just don't know if I'm ready to press my hair out, I feel like he's thin and on top of that he's not as long as I would like for him to be to be pressed out. But I mean the shrinkage is real, so we got that much length in the front. Oh Lord, don't go frizzy on me, Jesus! You know whatever, then in the back and get a good coil. Oh I'm sorry! Let me go ahead and come back to actually there um, so yeah I mean I could press. I just feel like right now it would look like a mini mullet.
