Hey guys today, i wanted to show you how to make diy flaxseed gel. This has been one of my tried and true favorites for quite some time now, and i'm excited to share it with you. So what you're going to need is whole flax seeds, a container to store your gel, a large cup and either knee highs or tights that have been cut to be shorter. So the first thing you're going to do is pour two and a half cups of water into a saucepan, followed by a fourth cup of whole flax seeds and you're, going to bring this to a boil over medium-high heat and stir it occasionally until it's boiling. It usually takes about five minutes to boil, so this is what it looks like once. It'S boiling so you're, going to turn the heat down to medium and continue stirring until it is totally done cooking. So you'll know that it's done when it looks like really thick snot. This is what it's going to look like. You want it to be just like this, so then you're going to want to set the gel mixture aside to cool for about 30 minutes to an hour. So once it's cool you're, going to take your cup and put the tights inside of it and roll the top of it over the top of the cup, then you're going to take the flaxseed mixture and pour it into the tights. And it's good to have a spoon to get out that last little bit so then you're going to pull the tights out of the cup and start squeezing the flaxseed out. So this is why you want to have whole flax seeds, and you want your tights to be fairly translucent, so that that gel comes out nice and easy without flax seeds coming out with it, and the nice thing about using a mason jar is, you can just Put a lid right on top of it and it's good to go to use. But what i like to do is pour the flaxseed gel into some kind of container with a pump, because i find it easier to use - and i got this little container at target and i have it linked below so now for styling. I kind of sped this up because i have a product application, video that is linked in the description down below. So what i do is, when i add more gel, as you see me, add more gel. I will apply three to five more pumps, so i start by raking it through. Until i feel like all of my hair is coated in the gel and again taking three to five pumps. There i took three showing you the consistency there and then i'm going to use praying hands to smooth my hair down, and this helps my curls form nice big juicy clumps. Then i take a little bit more gel and scrunch and at the top i pulse, then i flip my hair to the side and add a little bit more gel smooth some over the top, because that seems to be a frizzier spot for me and then i Scrunch to that side, then i flip and do the same thing again. If you would like to see my styling routine slowed down and with more explanation, you can check out my styling routine on my channel or i have it linked in the description down below. So then i plot for about 15 minutes and i have a video on how i plop and all the details of that on my channel, and i have that video also linked in the description. Then i will diffuse again. I have a video on how i diffuse on my channel and it's linked, and here are my results: nice and shiny, soft, but also really good definition and hold, and if you are someone who likes instructions written out, i have this entire recipe for the flaxseed gel. On my blog and that blog post is linked down below, so thank you guys so so much for watching. I truly appreciate it so make sure you like and subscribe, and hit that little bell to receive notifications of new videos.
