What'S good everybody, today's videos, gon na, be all about how to turn up the volume with they're drying. Believe it or not, both sides of my head right now are dried and post fluff, and I'm just trying to show you that your routine matters so in this video I'm going to be showing you guys, the do's and the don'ts. If you want to be achieving more volume and definition with your styling, even if your air drying, because you may be struggling with achieving volume in your roots and definition in your curls, which is ultimately destroying your style and not giving you the results that you want. So let me show you how, in today's video, I also just want to address this. I know I sound terrible. The volumes not off my volume is off, I'm not my hair volume, but my voice is little. It'S a little raspy. I had a helper birthday week. Thank you. I'Ve not fully recovered, so I'm trying to stay hydrated and you're gon na have to bear with me. If you want all the deets in this video just to what the answers, I'm sure you do. Okay, then keep watching. There will be about five phases to this process, so, let's start with phase one, the wash, of course before we dry our hair. We have to style it before we style that we're probably going to wash it right. You see this is very, very, very important, as I have stated in many of my previous videos, that a good, proper cleanse on your wash day will result in a good style. Now I did already go ahead and wash my hair, and I did it right because doing it wrong, hurts me. So I thoroughly cleansed my scalp and my hair to remove any build-up that could be weighing my hair down and when I conditioned I applied on the midst ends. First, instead of piling it on my roots, which a lot of us tend to have a very bad habit of so don't put conditioner and product right directly on your roof. But do sir on your mints and your ends and work it through your hair. And you can see more on how I wash my hair and some of my wash day videos, but right now we're gon na get to styling so phase two. Let'S talk about products that we're gon na be styling with what chu is used to many products with really heavy ingredients you can tell the product is very heavy based on its viscosity or how ticket is any ingredients like shea butter and coconut oil can weigh the Hair down tremendously, especially if your hair is fine, so what you do want to do, especially if your hair is fine, is use more water based products and that are thin and lightweight and texture phase 3, which is the application now in this world of endless techniques. Today, I will be sharing my technique to achieve volume and definition in the roots. This technique is proven, because I know that it doesn't just work for me. I use this technique in salon on all of my clients when I'm styling their hair and I applied with all textures all the way from to a waves to 4c coils and everything in between. So here's what you're, not gon na do on the John's side, I'm gon na clip away my good side here, keep the moisture in okay, so I'm going to explain the do's and the don'ts of the application number one. What you're not gon na want to do. Therefore, don't the first thing is my hair is soaking sopping wet. I do not want so much moisture in my hair, but I'm going to be adding even more moisture from products and the reason why I think is self-explanatory. That is going to be really heavy and it's gon na take forever to dry. So I really try not to completely soaked my hair so that it is dripping wet. But I like to make sure that it is what enough that I can hear the squish and I know promise will get through my hair evenly and easily. Next, please don't apply your product directly on your root. This is going wait too close to the scalp and it is really going to be weighing your roots down, especially if you have fine hair now. What you do want to do is when you're putting the product on always start on your mids and ends first rake. It through really make sure it's saturated, squish, the hair, to make sure you hear it in there there's enough and start off with a little bit. First, you can always add a little bit more and then as you're working it through your hair you're. Getting a little bit up to the roots and now, let's take a look at how I'm thoroughly applying this product. So here I'm using the Denman brush and I see a lot of people when they're using this brush brush downwards anytime you're applying products when you're applying downwards. You are pulling the curl from the root. Now this is gon na make the curl stack on top of each other and not actually be able to flourish where you can see on the do side, instead of brushing down with the brush. I work in vertical sections and I style off of the scalp off of the scalp outwards and up up and away well. This is gon na. Do is create more individual curl definition, instead of making them all clump together into this. One fat ring one, whether you're, using a brush to style your hair or, if you're, just using your fingers. You always want to work off of your scalp. So either move your body move your head, but maneuver yourself, so that you are not just pulling on your downwards now. I usually don't like to stop completely upside down, because, although the top might look good, the underneath might look like a bird's nest when you flip back up. So I just like to work the size outward and I've clipped away the top section, as you can see, top of my head is clipped away. I worked everything on the sides and back outward off the scalp and everything on top up up and away always off of the scalp guys really bear with me with my voice here, I'm struggling, but I'm doing it for you and lastly, you see I start to Apply my gel to give it all hold and to help with definition. Now, what I'm flying Gel, I find that the more you put on you may have more definition, but it can be harder to break that cast after and then harder to get the volume that you want. So, on the dull side, you can see, I use a generous amount of the gel considering this is only for half of my head and then the way I applied. It was just a bit of a no-no. I really worked it through raking it through my hair, which is not only using a lot of gel, but it's also now breaking up the definition and putting gel into the curls. I don't like to put gel in the curls. I want to put gel on the outside of the curls. I am actually in physical pain over this. Allow me to take over and do things properly over on the do side watch closely. You can see on the do side here I want to apply my gel. I actually just put it on my hands and then I scrunch it in so. Yes, this is using less product and it won't be really getting near your roots, but you can always apply a little bit to your roots. If you want, however, since we're here for volume - and we want volume in the roots, I'm not going to be putting too much holed up there. What I really want to do is just to fine, the outside of the curls, leaving the roots with the least amount of product. Now I'm moving on to stage 4, unfortunately, the longest stage of this process. This is one we'll be drying. The hair now we're gon na let nature take its course, and I will be air drying throughout the house now. What you don't want to do over here is be a statue. What you do want to do is actually move your head around a bit stimulate some airflow. My number one issue with air drying is that the roots never get as much love as the ends. The ends are free-flowing and as they move about as you're moving about, they will be first. So I do like to kind of switch up the root motion to get more volume in the roots and as I'm air drying, I will very gently flip my hair over the opposite way that I want it to fall so that it will fall with more volume And when I flip it back, I will have more volume, although I don't want to keep it in this position the whole time. The reason is, however, your hair dries is where it's going to want to stay. If you want a lot of movement and volume in your hair, then you need to move your hair. Don'T touch the curls move them around, so just very subtly and you will be getting much more volume so come along with me on the air drying process. Let'S see how long this thing really takes, put a timeline, and hopefully this will all be dry soon, so I can come back on and finish this video today. Okay, everybody! So it's been 30 minutes and I am in pain. My scalp is so wet and cold over here, or this side is drawing much faster. I would still wet. I still have quite a ways to go, but I don't know if I can just sit inside anymore, so I'm gon na go sit outside god. I sound like it: okay mmm I'm gon na go sit outside so hopefully the heat can evaporate some of the hair, but keep in mind it's summertime. Here. I usually don't like to air dry in the summer, especially if it's humid out, but let's check the weather. One second yeah um humidity, is at 40 percent, but I I need the heat to help to dry this hair, so I'm gon na go do that. It'S been over an hour now, God, okay! Well, this side I've been trying to flip and round just killing the game. When you compare it to this, it's literally so wet. Who does this and why my my scalp is cold. The ends are drying like they're, definitely more dry, but so moist up here, I'm gon na be like this all day, nearly three hours later we're. Finally, here I could not wait any longer. This side has been dried for 40 minutes, at least, and the side is still a little damp in some areas. I have not fluffed it, yet I have not done anything. I was just drying and, as I said, I would so now we need to move on to phase 5, which is the fluff and finish now. If I really want this to be a nice lightweight voluminous style, I don't belong with any products to scrunch. I really just soften out the cast. This is what I like to do so this is my do soften out the cast. Now I usually see here we got this big clump of curls. Usually, I try to break this up while it's wet, but this one was some slip, my eye, so I'm going to break this up now very gently, but the reason is you don't want to cause frizz. So that's why I like to do it when it's wet beforehand, but here we are everything's good, we're all okay and then I just like to, of course, fluff out the root, and I always do that from underneath. I want you to take note and how much movement there is. The curls have their own individuality, they're, all in their own families. Oh, you know this looks so good now, for the don't side feeling pretty stiff, pretty stiff, it's a lot of product, but not just that all my curls are clumping in one area. It gave me a really elongated style, nothing wrong with it. It'S just different. You can see maybe a lot more curl definition, but if you want volume, if you're doing anything like I did on the dull side, this could be your problem, so I mean I'm gon na try to fluff this out and see. I will show you I find. Oh, my god, it's so thick! If you don't put the volume in right away, it's nearly impossible to get it after this side of my head is literally weighed down. You can see it's much straighter at the root, then on the new side, and I can try to fluff this out for days. But it's really gon na want to revert back to its natural seat, because that's how it dry, that's how it was applied. You'Ve got to put the volume in right from the start, with lightweight products, with your application technique and with drawing and without further ado. This is how you should do it. You can still get pretty big hair on day, one after a few hours, but on day, one with air drying. It just all depends on your techniques. What do we think everybody which side do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below and if you are not someone that likes to air dry like your a diffuser person, then you need to make sure that you have watched my diffusing video, which is my original do's and don'ts video, that I did a side By side and all the things you're doing wrong when you're diffusing and all the right things you should be doing when you're diffusing also, let me know any other future videos that you need from me, because I am here for you. This has been great. I have to go wash one side of my head now and until next week see you guys later peace, the bigger the hair, the heart of a stir. I also feel way too much product. I just can't it's just ok. How come my hair is wavy at the root and curly at the bottom? Is the sound okay on this thing? Oh wait. It'S just me. Oh yeah, it was good everybody

Mackenzie T.: So first of all THANK YOU! I legit just watched this, found out I was living my whole life as a LIE, and got so excited that I took a shower and tried this out and IT WORKED SO WELL

Stephanie Hernandez: Curly hair really is a science

Ralitsa Urukova: Having a curly hair myself, and I have one thing to say It's like playing chess. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY CHESS

Rosie G.: 1. Shampoo on scalp, Conditioner on mids and ends 2.Leave in conditioner (don’t apply on roots) 3.Brush the hair but don’t touch the roots and brush away from them 4. Scrunch the gel on the hair’s surface, avoiding the roots. 5. Leave the hair to air dry naturally and fluff it Additional tips: ~ please don’t use thick products , as they will weigh the hair down making it have less volume ~ please avoid putting too many products especially on the roots ~please scrunch the gel into the hair instead of applying it randomly Thank you and have a great day/night

Uriko Star: Phase 1 wash- 1:23 Phase 2 products- 2:25 Phase 3 application- 2:58 Phase 4 air drying- 8:10 Phase 5 finish- 12:10

Soph: The part where you talked about how you worked product through your hair with the Denman brush CHANGED MY LIFE. I always brushed down and then flipped my hair upside down so the top was curly and the back was AWFUL. THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO SO MUCH!!! YOU curl goddess ➿

An Mo: 1:19 five phases: 1:49 phase one: a good wash routine 2:25 phase two: products to use 2:56 phase three: product application 8:08 phase four: the air drying process 11:44 phase five: fluff and finish

The Flavor Of Change: Let me tell you something young lady!!! In my almost 30 years of bi-racial existence I have NEVER gotten my curls the way they are looking today with just following your steps for the first time . I came across one of your videos last week (trimming curly ends), I did that & it worked! Then this video popped up yesterday (I went to Sally and purchased the brush), did what you said & these babies are moving. Before this day I basically had one stiff curl that moved like a compacted wig where ever I turned my head ‍♀️. My routine is forever upgraded thanks to you thank you beautiful.

eggy: UGH I've been trying to sort my curls our during covid and I have been so misled. I tried it your way and omg... Instant results! Thank you so much! I've been doing the don't side this whole time ... how did I not come across your videos sooner?

Lori Anne Bailey: Listen to this woman she knows what she is saying. Stop searching other videos. THIS IS IT! Saved my curls I didn't even know my curls could be THIS pretty without finger coiling. Thank you so much. I'll definitely be pointing people to this video.

Emily Rowe: When her “ don’t “ side Is Better then I could ever style my curls

Varsha Kalyan: i tried these methods and they really work. my curls look absolutely perfect. the vertical sectioning and styling the curls off the scalp and outwards, especially makes a huge, HUGE difference. It worked for me because i do have thin hair, so i recommend this to people with the same.

Rhela McCoy: Okay Girl! I am almost 60 years old and have never known how to style my curly hair! But thanks to you ... I'm learning and I love it! You are such a fantastic and funny teacher! Please keep it up! And THANK YOU!

Cindy Dashnaw: YOU SAVED MY WEDDING! I'd let my hair grow a bit and it was driving me crazy and making me sad -- my hair was going to look so bad for my wedding. But I found you and your videos and ended up with BEAUTIFUL style! THANK YOU!

Shan 211: As a newbie to the natural hair routine, I swear this is the best instructional hair video I've seen. Thanks:)

Cici Chapman: What to DO; > Shampoo/cleanse scalp then apply conditioner to mids and ends first and work it through to roots. >Use more water based products (gels) >Lightly apply products, make it wet enough to hear a squish when you squeeze the hair >Apply product mids to ends first and then work it through to the roots >Brush vertically and outward/off and up away from the scalp in sections. starting with bottom clipping off the top >use a small amount of gel, then scrunch it into hair >Leave roots with least amount of product >When air drying, allow hair to move and get airflow. To get movement in your hair, move your hair. Can flip to get air to roots and have more volume. But not the whole time - wherever the hair drys. It will want to stay Get volume before it drys >Scrunch the cast out and fluff out the root from underneath DONT: Apply conditioner directly to roots and pile it. Use too many products with heavy ingredients (butters and oils) Soak hair with product, no soaking dripping wet hair Don't apply any products directly to roots Brush downward A shit ton of gel (decreases volume adds more definition but weighs hair down) puts gel into the curls rather than the outside Don't be a statue when drying Try to get the volume after it dries

Piff7: Honestly, this is the most helpful curly hair care video I’ve seen. Half the time these video set super unrealistic expectations and don’t compare to the bad method side by side Like I’ve been putting my products in while my hair is too wet and probably using too much product

katie: I’m so happy I found this video!! I have fine curls and my hair has all too often fallen totally flat on top just like you showed. I’m genuinely excited to take a shower tomorrow morning and try this technique out!

Grace Freeman: I've been natural for 10+ years and I have never known how to care for my hair...I only started watching your tutorials 2 days ago and I've already learned how to cut/trim my own hair‍♀️ and I've learned how to get the volume I only dreamed of...so thanks to you I'm in love with my BIG CURLY hair now!‍♀️ THANK YOU!

Plain Jane: My hair’s been curly since i turned 13. Most of my family blow dry their hair or have straight hair so I’ve been trying to figure out my jewish curls ☺️ a lot of this is what ive found works for me over the years but I loved seeing it from a hair stylist with curly hair!!

Sonia Martell: Now I understand why my hair is so flat! My hair looks like the "don't" side every time. I can't wait to try your tips. Thank you!!!

Julie: I thank you so much for this video. You ask "who does this, and why?" It was me! I did that! It literally was taking me 4 hours to dry curls with no volume, to look like I had ramen on my head. I can't wait until wash day to try out your Do Side technique. Thank you!

ConceptsByChristi: I’ve followed your tips throughout your videos and I just want to say my hair has NEVER looked this good in MY LIFE. I’ve never had day 2 curls look good and I woke up and my hair was freaking flawless. Thank you, u goddess

Mary Jane xo: I've been transitioning from my Chemically straightened hair and it's been a challenge and still a lot of learn and discover about my 3c type curls. But the habits/ routines that I've changed helped a lot! One was getting silk pillows. And the biggest difference made for my curls is Microfiber Hair Towel. Helped my frizz a lot and also drying my hair normally takes forever but its cut to half! And the curls are a lot more defined, I've got mine from Amazon a brand called Maria Beau https://www.amazon.com/mariabeau . It's great quality! You girls have to try it out <3

Amanda: Thank you. I am just learning (at 50!) that I actually have curl to my hair. I’ve always been wavy right after a shower, but by the end of the day, especially if I slept on it, it’s straight and blah. I’ve been trying things over this past week and it has been curly, but no oomph. Watching this has shown me what I was doing wrong. I was close, but still very wrong.

Joy Alequin: Good God thank you for this video! I was doing the DON'T side.‍♀️ THANKS TO YOU MEL, I KNOW BETTER

Ellen: My teenage daughter had thick curly hair an hates it an gets lots of comments in school about her hair being crazy ! I have enjoyed showing her your videos an it has have her lots of hints an tips to get it u see control! We are still struggling to find a good curly hairdresser though every hairdresser wants to style it straight . Your finger curling tip is one of her favourites !! ❤️❤️ I don’t think you realise how much of a role model you and your sister are to young curly haired girls ❤️❤️

LolaHuesos: 'If you do anything like I did on the 'dont' side this may be your problem' I literally do all of that Thanks for the tips!

Xochitl Manley: Thanks! I really need help with my beautiful mixed girls' hair. I have been doing pretty much ALL the don'ts bad mama. Really appreciate your tips! I can't wait to do this! I'm headed to the store to buy one of those brushes and I am washing their hair tonight and do things right!

HawkStrong: Lady, where have you been all my naturally curly haired life?! This is the video I needed since I was a wee-gal trying to figure out how to style my hair. Thank you for the time you took to make and share this. Much appreciated

6maria94: Okay, so you teached me a very important thing, which is that I should be using more water based products xD My hair is really thin and the one thing I was struggling with the curly girl method is that the creams made my hair "greasy". Could you do a version of this with the products that we should chose in case of really fine hair?

Roz Wilson: OMG this is like curly thin hair 101!!! I am in my 40s and I wish we had these tips and videos were available when I was 14. Growing up with the only one girl with curly hair in the family was a challenge. Thank you! I will try these tips. So excited! Better late than never.

Casey Armstrong: I don’t have nearly as curly hair as you do but I got some. This technique coaxed as much soft full curls out of my hair as possible. I also used my diffuser. Which, thanks to your how-diffuse video, I am no longer using completely wrong. Keep it up!

Nancy Rodriguez: This tutorial was recorded almost 2 years ago now and I find it hilarious!!! I'm glad I stumbled up on it, I'm a huge air dryer fan

Tamara Taylor: We have the same hair type. This is exactly my issue. I’m so glad I found this video. I’m going to try this on my next wash day. Thanks Mel.

Idaho xD: Everytime I see a video like this, I'm so jealous of these amazing curls! I only have 2a/b curls. But my hair is so fine, that the curls are "gone" about an hour after blowdrying. :/ (Maybe I use too heavy products) I will try this out and hope it works :)

Zoe Roberts: CURLS ‍ 1.) WASHING don’t put conditioner on roots❌ do start middle and near ends and work it through your hair ✅ 2.) STYLING don’t use to many products with reallly heavy ingredients ❌ do use water based products (aveda- be curly curl enhancer) (aveda- flax seed aloe) also very light weight ✅ 3.) APPLICATION don’t drench your curls❌ do make sure it’s wet enough so that you can hear the squish✅ don’t apply products directly on roots ❌ do start on your mid ends and rake it through squish the hair to hear that theirs enough put a little tiny bit at roots✅ don’t brush products downward❌ brush vertically and in sections start from scalp then go away on top of head work up✅ don’t put on tons of gel and rake down❌ do put some gel on your hands and scrunch it in✅ 4.) AIRDRYING don’t stand still while drying❌ do move your head around a bit flip hair over✅ don’t touch the curls ❌

Danni Paquette: I'm 36 with 3a/3b hair and have been brushing my hair down my whole life, and have been products in when my hair is soaking wet. Thank you for this video!

Lorraine Cotton: Very useful tips. Now I understand why I'm hardly getting any definition. Everything you said not to do....I've done!

Katherine Wandell: Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for making this video! I have been weighing down my hair ALL MY LIFE! I gave up so long ago on my natural hair. I flat ironed it all through high school, so much that when I wore it curly once, everyone asked me what I did to my straight hair. I’m excited to give your routine and technique. I am hoping for lots of volume, I’m ready to embrace my natural hair.

Candis Lewis: I love this. Thank you. I'm the only person in my family without curly hair and my family has never done it right. I have a child with curls so happy to see this thank you.

Jen Duncan: Recap- -Wash well -Do not apply conditioner at roots- squish it up from bottom -apply light weight product from bottom and squish up -apply to damp hair, not soaked hair -use brush from scalp and pull out to distribute -air dry while moving hair around but not touching. Did I miss anything? I’m making notes for my 2A/B hair!

moniquelauren99: Id love to see this on some 2C or 3A curls! Super helpful. I’ve been touching my hair as it dries and always get sooo much frizz. Thanks for the help!!!

xxx: THANK YOU I LOVE YOU I've had my hair short for years (alternating between pixie and buzzcuts) but I'm curious to grow it out again. And I wanna do it right. This is helping tremendously and gives me hope of having proper curls with my fine 2b/2c hair :D

Froggo_Snack1029: I love your videos SO much and they have made my flat, frizzy and matted curly hair into fresh, bouncy, defined and full of volume curls! Thank you so much!!!

cocomilkshake100: Omg! Girl let me start by saying your hair is gorgeous. Also I did not know I was doing EVERYTHING wrong. I thought it was my age since I turned 30 a few years ago my hair just doesn’t do what it use to, now I see it’s my routine!!! I ain’t waiting for wash day, I’m hitting the shower now to try out these techniques. Thank you thank you thank you.

Carletta Ward: Just want to say thank you. I went through chemo and lost all of my hair and since its grown back its super curly. Like it had a little curl before hand but now its more like yours and I had no idea what to do. I fear looking like a poodle and have already been called Annie and Cabbage Patch kid because of the afro. If you have any extra tips you can direct towards me I would be so thankful. Ive got a years worth of growth and some areas appear curlier than the rest

Jannah Shehadeh: BEST.tutorial.EVER. Everything was well explained, you made each step make sense, and now I have a better understanding on why my curls look better on some days than others! Nikki…: so, i just tried and did these steps… omg my hair has so much more volume! i love it! thank you so much for these tips! i finally don’t have frizzy flat hair lol. I used a water based leave in conditioner and a kind of creamy thick styling cream but i used less of both right now and it did the trick! i always thought we needed a lot of product since we have tonsss of hair and it’s insanely curly too! thank you for this life changer!!!

O The Simplicities of EL: I'm trying this tomorrow. Update: so i didn't to it the next day, but i followed her advice along with her advice from "how to diffuse properly" and "how to apply products". My day one hair was frizz free, and my curls lasted 5 days. finally!!! I normally get 2 days out of my hair. Never 5 days. I have multiple textures; 3b - 4c.

Susy Tibke: This is simply AMAZING! I’m 55 and have struggled my whole life to manage my curls. Ur tutorial has helped immensely and I can’t thank u enough! U r AWESOME!!!

Rebekah: Thanks for this because I started the curly girl method and the one with low volume is exactly how they say to do it. I hated how heavy and no volume my hair looked. I will be trying this so thank you!!

Anika Dashaputra: if u wanna write this down/remember: 1. cleanse hair well (shampoo) 2. condition - do mids/ends not too much on roots 3. apply curl cream (start with a little product then add more as needed) - start from mids/bottom and work your way up - you know when you have enough product when you hear the squish 4. brush bottom half of hair sideways in sections away from the scalp 5. brush top half of hair upside down away from scalp 6. use a little gel on palms and scrunch - add more gel if needed 7. move hair around while drying, don't be stiff 8. once dry, scrunch and fluff up curls

Keele Davis: Hilarious I’m just learning how to deal with my fine curls after being natural for 4 years and I used olaplex today then did EVERYTHING on the don’t list. Hence coming back to YouTube to fix my crunchy curls

Taki Cross: Omg, thank you so much for this video. My hair has always looked so flat and sad but this video was a game changer, keep up the good work!

Christiana Davis: Thank you for this! I used your tip today for my wash day and my hair looks amazing! ❤️

Joey S: One of the most helpful videos I've found for my curly hair yet. Thanks!

Cyn Cyn Martinez: I've been practicing and testing finger combing methods/wide tooth comb on my daughter who has her daddy's naturally curl hair and omg girl! Your video about the "brush away and up from the root" for volume is fabulous. I am loving it! I am still learning how to care for my daughter's hair and teaching her the do's and don't. So she wont have to be too envious of her lil sis' naturally straight hair. Hair love starts young thank you! Her hair is fine and curly. I wont deny. I was completely intimidated by it AND in love with her hair

Serena Radez: Love this video! Comedic & real. My routine is Very similar However, I have to clip my hair up away from my face as it dries. Otherwise my skin breaks out! Thank you for the tips

My2Cents: Both sides look good. It's all in the look you're going for. It isn't bad styling just because someone doesn't want to put a lot of effort into getting their hair big. And mine is big LOL

Janette Ramirez: Seriously thank you for teaching me what I’ve been doing wrong!!!

Vaishali Vaidya: I'm a curly one who had straightened her hair for close to 35 years, first by combing and platting and then chemical straighteners. Loved the combo of both sides from the front

romyz: Dude this video is literally amazing and answered every question that I’ve been wondering all my life. Everything you did on the dont side is literally what I do, including using Cantu coconut Thank you so much for this!!!! This is going to change my curl pattern SO much. Ahhh!!! Best video ever.

daftoptimist: “Who does this?!” Me, Mell. I do this. My hair takes almost five hours to dry. I have been doing EVERYTHING wrong. Too much water, not brushing product through, not moving my hair. I dread every wash day, especially in winter in my house that has no heating. I am a FOOL. I’m going to change how I style immediately and I will let you know how it goes. Thank you.

Kiley Laney: I do a lot of the don’ts lol but I do air dry and I absolutely love the do’s it’s so beautiful!!

Cassidy Chandler: OMG!! I Have been brushing down for all of these years and getting mediocre frizzy curls. I tried this method and wow, what a difference!! I can't tank you enough! I'm getting a Denman next to see if I can get better coils!

Mia Garcia: LITERALLY mind blown! Why didn’t anyone tell me I’ve been caring for my fine thin curls wrong this whole time! I had been using all the products in this video...been styling wrong this ENTIRE time. I can’t even deal.

Jessica Goncalves: 10/10. Just tried these techniques and it really worked!! I used to apply product to my roots and it would weigh my curls down. Thank you so much!
