10 Minute Hair Styling Challenge! (I Tried My Best )

Hi beautiful, you look scrumptious, thank you for being here so today i am doing three different looks, but with a twist it's a challenge today and i love a good challenge, even though every time i do a challenge i feel like i just suck at it, but It'S okay! For some reason. I come back for more every single time, because i'm such a competitive person, that's the issue. I only have 10 minutes per look. I don't know what i'm gon na do. Emma is off camera. She'S gon na tell me exactly what these girls are doing, what events they're going to who they are, what their name is, and i'm going to be doing the look, and if that sounds impossible, i agree with you by the way before i begin real quick. Not all i'm hoping for is i at least get one ten out of ten. Just like a ten like a whoop, you got a ten i'm ready to do this, so let's just get it started. Let'S do it. We got all the supplies needed to do this. I think i don't know what's gon na happen, but i know it'll be interesting and i know that i've done stuff similar to this in the past, where i'm given a very short time constraint to do a really intricate look, i'm just feeling good about it. Emma is behind the camera: what's up girl, hey guys, emma's gon na keep track of time. She'S gon na tell me the stories. I actually have seven mannequins off to the left of me to choose from in all different styles lengths colors, so i'm gon na choose the one that goes best with the vibe emma tells me about, and then i'm gon na do the look, and hopefully they look Good emma's gon na give me a one out of ten rating. I just hope i get at least one ten out of ten. That'S all i'm hoping, for i mean that's a lot to perform. So first client is jessica, jessica, she's. In a little bit of a you know, a tizzy between a rock and a hard place, exactly so jessica is going to her boyfriend's sister's wedding. Okay, this wedding is black tie optional. The season is during summer, but it's in sonoma, california. Oh, it's also outdoors. Of course, because, obviously masks exactly and what she's wearing is a long silk emerald green slip, dress with open toe heel, sandals and a nice neutral mask. So i would say her by this very feminine chic also keep in mind. This is her boyfriend's sister's wedding, so they're not married they're like in between no, not even they're just dating you know. I'M ready girl. Give me a countdown three two go: do you recognize this mannequin yeah? She has kool-aid hair color and it looks like, but she's cool and she's gon na get a really cool style to go with the kind of not so good color. She doesn't care um, we're gon na wet her hair because i don't know what else to do right now, while i'm thinking well, her hair is already in a center part. So we'll just work with that, and maybe we'll do something really sleek a pulled back thing into like a thing. No, she doesn't want that the family is a bit. You know conservative, but her boyfriend isn't really close with them. So they're both like kind of like a little bit rebellious, but is she trying to fit in a little bit? Do you like how i just wet her hair and now i'm curling it, but we can also put some forcefield heat protectant in to make sure that her hair doesn't get fried. The thing i'm doing right now is just starting her off with a really good base and i'm curling everything towards her face that way. She gets those like romantic old hollywood wave style going. How much time do i have left? You have five minutes and eight sessions. Time'S going by quick, this looks really gross so far. I know it'll come together, you're always gon na start off with a good base, uh start off with a blow dryer or start with some nice curls. That way, you can build upon something. If you have no structure in there, you're not able to do anything. Oh sh we're caught we're caught again. I'M burning her hair. She can hear you, so i don't think she wants to hear you yes, jessica. We'Re gon na put some hairspray in we're gon na really load it up that way. All these curls stay as much intact as possible and now, for the fun part, we're gon na start brushing this out, and hopefully it's set into place fast enough. I should have done a side part. Can you give me time updates miss, please yes, 309.. Three minutes left is that what you said: yeah she's cool she's, a cool girl, her hair wouldn't stay, so she decided to put in a clip she's a trendsetter baby. Okay, how much time two minutes and 25 seconds word: i'm gon na just put a few more waves in and reset everything into place, we'll just use the hairspray can to kind of shape it into place. One minute, maybe i can take this pin out now. Maybe it's set into place: oh i'll use the blow dryer and i'll just hairspray that and we'll go, and hopefully that'll stay like that, because mannequins jessica came to the wedding, oh honey. I don't think the parents are expecting this. You have 30 seconds left. Okay, so i just put a elastic at the bottom: i'm gon na actually just give her a quick, faux bob uh, please tell me i can put this in time in her hair crisscross applesauce underneath her head. I think i did it. I think i did it. Um, so we did a deep side part because she's feeling, like a little romantic like she's she's like a very bougie wedding, it's just a very bougie wedding and she's wearing a really really gorgeous dress. I imagine really long yeah, so i gave her a faux bob. Not my best faux bob i've ever done in my life, then she has like this asymmetrical side where it goes down in the front. Okay, and then she has this beautiful wave in the front. It'S like a take on like an old hollywood wave, but it's kind of like modernized, because it's like not all going forward um and the other side is just very nicely like tucked in it kind of looks good from that angle. I think you did a really great job with the waves. Thank you. I, like the side part i like how the bow bob is good. It looks a little bit like it needs to be done a bit more of the bob like, especially on this side, with the longer hair asymmetry. You don't like that. I like it. I think it needs a little bit. Less symmetry got it for 10 minutes. It'S pretty good, so i'm gon na give you a solid 8.5. Wait, that's really good! I know i'm actually gon na give you. Thank you massica! Nothing! Nothing happened to her face makeup. Artist doesn't come here. What'S make bird's name, okay, jessica, you're off to your wedding? This is your friend's wedding. I don't know i rebecca rebecca is going to her bat mitzvah. Yes, what year is this um? This is 2007. hell yeah. This is my. This might or might not be a rendition of my bat mitzvah okay, so this spot mitzvah is taking place in spring. Okay, the clothes she's wearing a long cinderella, type mauve, of course, with some clothes i don't know - did i very cinderella very puffy, more pink with some crystals on the border area throughout and a natural colored open toe heel sandal, underneath her vibe is very glitz and Glam, okay, she's 13 years old, all right all right! I got enough. Remember she's 13, going on 30 because it's her batman, of course. Okay, our whole family's there to judge three two two point: five, i'm good go! Okay! Well, rebecca is definitely this girl. Oh, my god, okay, so she's definitely gon na get some twists. I don't know how i'm gon na do twists in a matter of like ten five seconds, but we can try this put your head back. How much time do we have because i'm gon na start over in 17 seconds? I just started all right. This looks bad uh. We make these say with just a crisscross, hopefully, because that's what none of these girls would do is crisscross everything. Oh, it stayed. Okay, great so we're moving on to the next one. I don't know if this is in the middle she's in a rush. Her mother is breathing down my mouth under i'm telling you her jewish woman um 6 25. So now that we have all of these in those beautiful things uh, we are now going to pull all the hair up into a high pony because nobody did things low back. Then it's all about the tight and right, and then it was all about that. I am going to put a hair bungee in the back here to make a high pony width. I guess i will take the pins out now because now it's staying back and it should just stay in place - we're gon na hair spray that, because she's gon na be dancing all night long, oh yeah, she is. I am going to take my curling iron and i'm just going to place a bunch of curls in her hair. If i can get it's not turned on, is it it's on? Okay, i'm gon na use this, even though this isn't on either. I don't know. What'S going on with, i did it shut off? I don't have time for this, how much time we have 404? No, we don't so we're just getting some waterfallness going on in here, because that's what she asked for all right. These are the worst curls i've ever given in my life. Now we're going to quickly just pin up this hair. This doesn't look good emma. This doesn't look good, oh my gosh. How much time do i have? Are you counting it down? I don't know what to do with the back of her head. It looks awful go find something to do with her vomit. Oh, this is such a fail. I don't know how many, how much time do i have left, because i i hate myself, don't give up this poor thing. She'S going to hate me, i should have teased it 23 seconds till the end of your career. Literally though she's going to end me, i'm never doing it forever again after this is that it you gave up okay. Well, it's done three two one. Do you want to see the back, not really? Oh, my she's in front of her entire family? Okay, they flew down from all areas. Don'T make me feel bad she's wearing like this very glitzy, glam gown thing right: yeah, like cinderella, puffy, yes, you know mauve pink, color, mauve pink. She was very inspired by early 2000's vibes. Okay, i did just that and i gave her everything she's ever dreamed of with some twists and a waterfall bun. I'M gon na give you a four. I can't do twists like that. Maybe if i like, move your hair back a bit i'll, give you a five, because it's playable, it's playable, we can play with it a bit rebecca. Thank you. Thank you. No, i don't give refunds drumroll, please, the last girl ryder right, that's a fun name! All right ryder is going to coach. That'S not fair! Why not? I was supposed to go to coachella okay, but this was pre corona. So was this last year yeah this is oh, i was there. I probably saw her yeah, probably homies, so this is day three. So remember that she already went through her other outfits, but this is the most epic outfit. This season is fall in california, but remember it's warm temperature yeah yeah yeah cold at night, though yeah so she's wearing almost nothing, nothing see-through, okay, nipple, pasties, literally wearing high-waisted. Jean shorts, sequin fringe jacket and a barely noticeable tube top underneath, oh and then matching with cowboy boots. Also, her accessories also include these light pink blend sunglasses that she literally picked off off the street all right. Well, that's easy! Three! Two go: okay, um! Okay! Yes, i'm gon na go with my first instinct, which is our long longest blonde haired mannequin, her hair looks crazy, though i will admit i am going to brush this out and make it as smooth as possible. I'M definitely gon na do a middle part and i'm going to just spray on some force field and some oil, because her hair is disgusting and frizzy. Sorry excuse my language today, i'm just in a little bit of a hurry. Sorry, ryder and i'm just gon na put in some salty to give for a little more texture, because we're going for this, like textured fun, beachy vibe. I think all right, so we're going to do a little halo section, because this is the easiest way to do. Hair when i'm doing any kind of like curl or anything, you have 804, where we do two minutes of me just talking we're gon na get some hairspray in here, because that'll help the waves stay, we're using the crimper, i'm gon na start the front pieces that Way, at least, if i can't finish this in time - she has like really cute crimped front pieces and i'm gon na do that. Oh, it looks like hell: i'm sweating, okay, we're getting a little bit of something there and i'm just gon na try and like form the weight with my hand as we go that way. It stays intact. Oh okay and that's what happens you put salty forest field and some hairspray in the hair. You get really crimped with yours all right. How much time do we have? You have five minutes and 45 seconds? Okay, all right! As long as i get these front pieces, you see i'm kind of like bunching it up at the top too, as i go that'll help like set that in, like i said before now, i don't have to hold it on the hair for so long. Yes got it all right, we might have to skip the back. Come on hurry up. Oh come on. I wish i had like three hands. Okay last section. I just sped through that imagine having this much hair and like somebody comes over and does your hair in 10 minutes how much time two minutes and thirty ten seconds we're the last crimp and then we have to do a couple things i'm a very fast braider. So i'm feeling good about it. We'Re gon na do a braid right here and she's trying to go bohemian cool girl in 30 seconds yep, okay, good thing: i have the fastest hand her head is coming down and we're just gon na tease the ends here. To keep in she's a beautiful little braid there. No i'm sorry miss, i know i'm pulling, but you don't have much time 38 seconds. 38 seconds perfect. It'S looking really good brad! Thank you! She'S! Just gon na get a few more waves put in there just to kind of spice things up and give some irregularity to the waves. Oh, my god, stop! Stop. Okay, hold up four three: two one: zero tools and hands down. I'M done! Let'S take a final look around. That'S all. I got guys. Oh okay, i'm kind of proud of this. I can't get it off she's dead. She died as you can see. She has very long hair, keep that in in the back of her mind, and then we did some braids on each side. Just to add the bohemian twist like i said, and i mean she's pretty crimped i mean, then she does this one shoulder moment for pictures and when it's cold nipples covered honestly, you redeemed yourself after rebecca for the hair, the time constraint. The event. Yes, the look. Yes, i see where you're coming from, i get it i like it. You know she looks like ryder she's ready to go, conquer coachella looks like you guys could be like best friends, oh 100. You know so i'm actually going to give you a 10 out of 10.. I know i know.
