Hello, my name is Danielle Valiente, I'm the owner here at atmosphere salon and today, I'm going to share with you hair style tips for wavy hair on men after you have cleansed and conditioned the hair with a moisturizing, shampoo and conditioner. It'S always a good idea to use a leave-in conditioner, and what that's going to do is just help the curls stay hydrated, as they begin to dry, so we'll place about a quarter. Size amount into the hair, applying it everywhere, and I really like to get the product in the hair when the hair is really wet the more wet the hair is when you apply the product to curly hair, the better the results when you have finished so just Working it through using the fingers to loosen up the curl now he already has really great curl pattern, but if it was somebody who maybe had great curl in certain parts of the head, but others, it was a little bit more resistant, just take little pieces and Twist, the hair into these little curled dreads and let them sit so you just go through the hair and do that wherever you feel the hair needs a little more push to get the curls to mold into place. Usually it's just around the top, but just detailing it wherever you think it needs it. Next, we're going to take a moderate, hold high, shine pomade, and this is going to be really great because it's going to really help keep curly hair tame as its drying. So I'm working about a dime-size through my hands and I'm actually going to apply it to wet hair, starting in the back working forward and with curly hair. You have a couple options. You can let the hair dry, naturally, which is what a lot of curly hair people do, or you can actually diffuse it now. The thing about diffusing is that it tends to add some more volume to the hair and often times curly hair people are trying to make their hair smaller or less volume. If that's the case, I have a great trick that I could share with you for completing the look and getting the curls to still stay small but diffusing it so allowing it to dry much quicker. So if this was just wet out the door style, you would just mold it into place where you want to see it, lay with your fingers and then just let it dry natural. Another great tip is try to avoid touching the hair too much when you, when you are working with it and when it's drying it really helps to eliminate the frizz, and this is always interesting and I always get some. Some funny looks when I pull this out, but this is great because, if you're trying to keep the hair small as you style it just take one of these little hair nets place it onto the head and then diffuse it from there working the hairnet on I'm Going to use two and what the hairnet does is it keeps the hair, nice and compact as its drying, I'm using a high heat high speed just using the diffuser to release some of the moisture out of the hair and get that hair to dry a little Bit faster so once the hair has dried about 80 % dry on its own. Take a little bit more of your moderate hold high shine, pomade emulsify it into the hands and use it to detail any curls working it through eliminating some of the frizz in the hair. If any has taken place, it just gives those curls a nice soft textured. Look and it adds that little bit of shine that the curls might be lacking, so just pinching it through once you have it exactly where you want it. Wavy is technically curly, it's just the first level of curliness and this man for example... does not have wavy hair. Did anyone notice how in the beginning of the video she said she would show us how to style wavy hair and in the end she said " That's how you style CURLY hair? " Poor guy looks so sad at the end.
