Day In The Life Of A Hairstylist | Come To Work With Me!

Good morning, everyone from a bathroom, so today's Friday I have a really busy day at the salon. Today I just had like a ton of bookings come in so far, so we've got a lot going on today. It'S basically all I think it's a bunch of colors balayage, and then I have some blowouts, so I figured today would be a cool day if I just so you guys, along with me to the salon - and you have to see a typical day in my life At work, so that's basically the plan today I finished my makeup and my hair is pretty much done. I it's dirty. So what I do is just that, like Kim K, it's like Pony kind of deal - that's my vibe for today and all I have to do is get dressed. So let me address real quick show you guys my outfit and then we'll head out to this one. All right, this is the outfit for today I just have on this black t-shirt. This actually has our company's logo on the back and then I'm just wearing some AG denim jeans, they're, OK jeans, actually not even my favorite pair of jeans. I would not waste more money on another pair, so yeah. If you want my opinion, don't get them, but for them to work at least because then I just have something to like wear yeah black denim, but anyways. I'Ve got these on and I'm just gon na slide on a pair of like black chelsea boots and that's basically I'm gon na wear. I have this really comfy and cozy adorable coat from vici, vici collection, it's just literally the most coziest comfiest thing ever so wear that to work today, because it's actually kind of warm out not even cold outside and we've barely had any snow. So I don't even know what's going on, but the fact that I can wear this coat in January - weird, that's basically the fit now it's time to get our booties to work. Perks of being in this hotel is public. Is next door check? There'S dippin e8s, hey! I put my little reusable straw in here. You guys saw my last vlog got these cool little reusable straws that compact and I have a little keychain for it. Could you see this I'm trying to be earth friendly? My carbon footprint yeah. I asked for a glass like a four here Cup and they came to me plastic. So I'm like I'm half and half here, I'm half saving the plan, a half destroying it. I got ta check the messages I have to get the music going. I have to what else we have to do. That'S basically, it's basically prepped when we closed before New Year's, so yeah. My first line doesn't start till 11:45. Today and then I go till about 6:00, a lot of colors. Today we gave you guys a little to wear before market gets here, she's one of our VIP members, she's the cutest little Cuban she's, so cute um, but anyways I'll. Give you guys a little tour, it's so here's TIFF! This is our retail area. It'S a little scarce right now after the holidays, but we're going to refill it, and then this is kind of where we do makeup tips. Gon na do a pedicure today with Marta, so this is just kind of like our little seating area. We also do classes and stuff here, but when we do that, we like totally redo the entire place retail area up front. We are literally surrounded by windows. So therefore we are a fishbowl. This is the hair area, so we have three stations. I usually work in this first chair here and then we have to shampoo bowls Tiff's go ahead, our hair shampoo stations over here and our trademarked wallpaper that pretty much everyone knows us by this wallpaper. It'S Callum Andre and we take all our photos right here. So when you see hair photo on my hair page, it's probably having the client stand right here and then oh, we got ta turn them ears on these are our glam core, Ricky lights. Freakin amazing super bright, though so, brace yourself and yeah. Welcome you to groom service tip, I'm basically vlogging my whole day today. Oh there's Danny Danny he's our favorite valet guy, but he makes me feel like okay, so I have this thing that Danny makes me feel like I'm Eloise, at the Plaza every time I come in, like if there's guests, leaving at the end of the day he Holds the door open, cuz he's just the best Valley driver weight, valet driver yeah, he's just the best valet driver in doorman and then when there's guests leaving and they're like he's like good morning, Cassie I'm like good morning. Danny is different, like someone really important, but this is to see and then they see I come in here and they're like oh, okay, okay, we've got to get this day bumpin. If I'm in a mood, I am in 2020. Look at your hair, everyone, the hair tips in a full-on TIFF you're. So pretty okay, wait! We'Re gon na do a YouTube poll. Doesn'T she look like Gabrielle Union, but look at her she's going all natural. She is letting her relaxer fade out and it's just her hairs thriving I just caught it the other day and it's totally coming up to life. Don'T you think? Oh girl, she's, so cute. Look at that smile! Okay! We have Katie coming in today later and Meg's. Coming in this afternoon, as well too so okay get the music bumpin and get the day started or my clients color. Today I am doing seven seven zero. This is Devin s color we use here. It'S really good hair color, it's eco-friendly, so it's actually a B Corp, it's good for the environment, has no carbon footprint and it's good for the hair. So I'm using a level seven on her hair. Today she wants to go brighter and she also wants just kind of change up her hair color a little bit. So I'm gon na do a root color first rinse her out and then do her blot hi, guys, I'm in the parking garage right now. My camera battery is flashing. I'M gon na try and make this quick before it dies, but anyways I'm done with work. Sorta, I'm gon na go pick up. Penny right now go home and then I have to do laundry and stuff or work in some last minute. Like computer work, so I will see you guys when I get home, but the day is slightly almost over slightly. Ok battery is changed. I am now done with the rest of the computer work that I had to do. We have an event coming up later this month and I just needed to fix the event page for that. So all that stuff is done on my end everything's in our first Steve and I and I just have one more thing left to do and that is that towels so I'll take you guys downstairs to do the towels real quick. This, this part is not fun at all Katie and I hate doing this, but we kind of switch on and off yes and most of the time, but I usually sometimes will take it on for her if it's just like craziness, so she's, actually still at the Salon right now doing a color, so I just told her that I would deal with the towels tonight, so she didn't have to worry about it. So yeah, let's go to the towels, so I can hate our basement so yeah, there's that if you guys know anything about me, I'm pretty sure I've said this more before you know I hate doing laundry, something that literally I like cannot stand, but do it anyways. I have to be a pro at all and I usually say that the laundry can end up from the washer to the dryer, after that it probably just ends up never being perfect, so we have pink towels and gray towels. This part sucks as well, because I have to separate the two we can't wash them together, because these are the color towels you most likely have some type of color or bleach on them, and these are only for blowouts. So now I still have to struggle over here with towels. Oh and then we have purple towels for Tiffany, which don't look purple really any more, but these are for Tiffany. These are her nail towels. So that's three different towels. I have to separate that were Katie and I have to separate whoever doesn't help, but you get the gist dunzo anyone else. Oh god shut that too hard does anyone else run up their basement stairs after they do laundry or whatever you're doing in your basement, because you're terrified of everything I do and literally run as fast as I can up those stairs every time, alright guys. So I'm out wash my face real quick, I guess I'll show you guys what I use. I feel like this part can get old at times, because I don't know I feel, like I show this um. What I like to use is just a bomb. This is actually coconut oil to remove my makeup because um I ran out of the actual bomb that was in here, like he's, been using coconut oil and rub it all over my face. So then, after I take off the or after I wipe all the coconut oil on my face, I take one of these reusable white. I'Ve shown these to you guys before I don't even know what these are made of, but they're reusable. I got them at an organic beauty shop but I'll link, some for you guys down below, and I just wipe off my makeup. Yeah I've been doing this for a while. Now we're actually just using reusable makeup, wipes, well, theoretically, reusable makeup wipes, but you guys get to just just because I realized I was going through so many makeup wipes. So this is just my way of trying to kind of tame that down a little bit. I will just ignore my mascara so I'll, let that run off in the water when I actually cleanse my face. So what I do now is I take keels. What is this calendula deep cleansing foaming a face wash this isn't like my favorite stuff kills is literally. If you guys want to know actually what my favorite skincare brand is, it's it's kills for sure hands now um. My skin is just honestly, never look so better, since I've used keels so highly recommend it. If you have oily skin or combination skin or like acne prone skin, because I do get acne sometimes but not a lot. So if you have like severe acne, I don't. I can't help you there, but um trust me. I'Ve been trying to work with my brother to figure out a good method him for him. He has horrible acne, but um keels has worked for me and it's honestly made my skin look so freaking good, so yeah. If you're looking for a brand to try out try keels 100 recommend. Okay, since I have raccoon eyes, actually take another one of these little reusable wipes, and I take some eye makeup remover. I think this is from CBS. I don't even know - and I just put a little bit on there and wipe away the mascara that was left over then, unlike a random dry area. On this, I take the calendula herbal extract toner. This is alcohol-free also from Kiehl's, and i just put that all over my little reusable square here - and this is my toner, so I just rub this all over my face so now I'll go in with the Kiehl's midnight recovery concentrate this stuff. Oh my god. I take about like four or five drops of that. You guys, if you haven't tried this product - oh my god, it is so good. It makes your skin look amazing and you wake up with your skin. Looking like a baby's butt, not kidding, I usually use the Kiehl's like gel moisturizer, but I don't have a Sephora like super close to me and I didn't feel like driving just for the other day to get one like a couple weeks ago. So I just picked this one up from Ulta, because I have one literally down the street from me, and this is the origins, ginseng oil, free and reducing energy. Boosting gel moisturizer. I'Ve used this before in the past, and I love it. So I knew it was going to be a good product for me, since it is winter. I figured something a little bit. Heavier is always good and this stuff is actually really nice. So it's not product, I just Nikhil's junkie. So there we go digging into my Beauty, fridge that you guys are actually propped up on. I keep my eye cream in there and I've been using this one from bioscience. It'S the squillion peptide hideout, this stuff I had like a oh, my god. It'S gone yeah a little, but it's actually gone now so now I have to go, buy it like a full-size one. Well that stinks. Thank God. I have some extras of another eye cream, um anyways, bioscience Wow. I am obsessed with it. You got it. I want to try more things. I tried there on vitamin C Rose. Was the rose, vitamin C concentrate or like serum? That'S amazing. I just want to kind of get more into BIOS on. So I really like to end it's a clean beauty product, so I'm into it: oh yeah, okay, that's it! For my skincare routine. I am fresh and ready for bed. Oh hi Fred, look who came over say hi to his sister because he missed her. So much. That'S me by the way my cocoa he shaved his face. Doesn'T he look like a little boy now? I wonder why your hair likes to part in the middle, though it makes you look like you're like in a 90s or 80s movie, but yeah anyways works in here and talking in the kitchen, because I cook dinner and realize I made all these things for tacos And we don't have to have our shelves, so Steve just ran to the store to go, get some but anyways. I was time cold. That Steve thinks I need to go tick-tock synonymous because I watch too many tick, tock videos! That'S why you're just watching! You know, because I get into YouTube it's the same thing, because I start watching YouTube videos playing the same ones near me. You got ta watch you got to get the tick-tock app cuz. Then you can save them if there's funny ones. You'Re like. Oh, my god. I got ta show that to sell until later. Do you wan na see that my favourite dick titles I got more, I always judge these little kids millenials, I'm probably my millennial, I'm like almost not a millennial but anyways. I judge all these little kids, who do these tick-tock videos like little girls that work the other day. Listen to this. How would that work the other day and I went to the bathroom - and I hear these screeches coming from the hall like the ballroom, so I'm like? What'S going on, I my salons in a hotel anyways. So I are these screeches in the hall and I'm like. What'S going on, these kids are trying to do the whoa is that was called the whoa well, so they're trying to do these tick-tock videos in the hall and all of the guests are like there's a bride leaving and she goes what's going on over there. I'M like just some kids trying to film a tick-tock when I photobombed it. I'Ve been searching to see. If I show up on tick-tock, I don't know anyways, okay, we're gon na keep talking about takedowns by my cozy sweater on cuz, I'm freezing I'm about to go edit, this video.
