Hi I'm C Cooper, I'm a New York City, makeup, artist, hair stylist and co-founder a beauty and grooming company Metro. Look. I get asked this question all the time by hair stylists, especially new ones. What should a hairstylist just like? I don't want to sound narcissistic or anything. But like me, you see my clothes, it doesn't matter what your style is, but you notice the color I'm wearing all black from head to toe. That is what a hair style is to dress like definitely, the color should be all black, and also because of the fact that most of your clients are going to be females. You don't want to alienate your clientele or offend them in any way. You want to dress appropriately, you can still dress jazzy and funky, but you don't want a neckline. It'S too low. You don't want a hemline, that's too high, that's not to say you can't wear a deeper V or you can't wear a short skirt, but nothing too offensive, because it can really turn women off and you want them to come back and get their hair done, because You'Re fabulous so, first of all we're all black, and then you dress appropriately and the reason why most hair stylists wear all black is because of the fact that it mutes us down, and it makes us a little bit less visible. Even though black is chic and gorgeous, it doesn't pop as many other colors do, and you want your clients to pop. So when your clients standing next to you and you're in your lovely, all black and they're, wearing color they're, the ones that pop and that's exactly what you want cuz, you want all your clients to feel like a star, I'm tee Cooper and thank you so much For watching you
