Hey everyone, scott michaels, with dearly departed tours here this next video is about jc, bring the hair stylist who's, the second most famous victim of the tate la bianca murders, which happened 51 years ago. Actually, as i record this 51 years ago today, now a lot of people over the years have called me an expert on the crimes. I know a lot about the crimes, but i've never considered myself an expert and i've always sort of shied away from that title. People come to me and ask me questions if i have the answers i'll give them to them. If i don't, i don't, but there's a lot of people that know a lot more about this case than i do. I just try to put it together in an interesting way. I don't really care one bit about what inspired the crimes to happen, who the people that did these awful things, who they were, what inspired them. I could care less, i'm more of a victim oriented person and that's what i try to portray. So with that in mind, i hope today, you'll learn one or two nuggets about jay sebring that you may not have known before, and it's an important story in los angeles history. I think in american history. So um thanks and i hope you think i do him. Justice, the first time you see your customer, it's good if he's sitting in the chair with his head wet after the shampoo that way, you won't be influenced by the way his hair was styled before, according to a 50th anniversary article about the murders in benedict canyon, The jay sebring grew up here in detroit now he was born in fairfield alabama and his parents moved here when he was a baby to a home on ferris street. Now ferris street is not a very large street and i can only imagine what it was like back then, but the way it looks today is uh a little bit different. So this street, that i just turned on to is the street that jay grew up on and at the end of the street is saint benedict, which is the school jay went to you can see. This area is uh. You know it was. It was a livelier neighborhood back in the day, a lot more going on back then wow and that's st benedict, where jay went to school. Jay was actually born in alabama on october 10, 1933.. His mother's name was margaret gibb and his father bernard cummer. He had one brother and two sisters and his father worked as an accountant. According to that article, it said that uh jay was always drawing and painting his favorite subjects included cars, pinup women and hollywood celebrities. So so these are the streets that jay played on when he was a kid, as you can see, they're a little less active these days, jay attended detroit catholic central high school, not very far from this neighborhood and he graduated in 1951.. He was a big fan of music. He even worked in downtown detroit at a music store called grinnell's. Now, according to the sebring international website, uh jay served in the navy for four years and even fought in the korean war, and while he was in the navy, he assisted or he cut hair for soldiers, and he apparently was didn't care for the restrictions. As far as the styles of cuts, you can give the guys in the military, so that gave him the idea to come to los angeles. Now he considered working in the medical field and in the legal field, but he decided on hair and he went to cosmetology school to learn how to style women's hair. Now he thought that men deserved the same treatment that women did taking more time to consider their hair, their men's clothing shops everywhere, but nothing specifically for men's hair. Cutting aside from you know, the traditional two dollar corner, barber shop cuts, so jay went on his own to learn how to style men's hair. He took inspiration from european hair styling, because wet hair was still a big deal back then brill cream, the wet head. That was a thing and jay took it upon himself to learn otherwise to cut hair dry, using blow dryers and combs and scissors, as opposed to clippers and hairspray for a more natural look. He also adopted the name jay sebring, using jay initial of his middle name and sebring for the famous car race in florida. A former girlfriend of jay introduced him to singer vic dimon and he cut victim on's hair, and he was so impressed that he recommended frank sinatra and then it really took off for jay. That was his big break, gave jay the courage to open up his own salon and charge a lot of money for haircuts because he realized that celebrities were really responding to it. In 1959 he opened up his salon at 725, north fairfax, steve mcqueen, cliff robertson, paul newman kirk douglas dennis hopper robert wagner brando jim morrison. They all became clients of j sebring in 1960. He married 17 year old, cami marple, who was an actress. She was in a film called the nomobile and a lot of other things, and they were together for about three years, so the middle door would bend the stairs to jay's private office. As i understand it, that's the door to the men's salon and the door on the left is the women's salon, and that is, i can confirm where they shot once upon a time in hollywood in that side, because i was there, so this would have been jay's Staircase, so this is where the wall said: sebring right about there and those six windows so and in the the photographs i took when they were shooting jace porsche was parked here. There'S the newsstand had old magazines. In it all those old cars were parked in the parking lot over there. The oscar meyer wienermobile was parked over there. None of this stuff actually showed up and once upon a time in hollywood, but eventually will so tarantino rented out jay's old salon, which it was a gay bath house at one point in time. So jay's salon was on the right and now, according to one of the pictures, i always thought that these six windows were part of jay's salon. But now i think this was a parking garage or a thoroughfare for the parking in the back. Somebody, i know said they work for jay, told me that this was a driveway through here, which you can kind of see. This is the back of the salon where valet parking would uh pick up their guests cars and they could be assured discretion walking into jay's salon. Jay was also very well known for men's hair pieces and he had a private room set aside for men uh getting their hair pieces done. His salon was described as a spectacle. He adopted the use of the egyptian ankh uh symbol, which is the egyptian symbol of life, and there were stained glass windows. There was everything was gold hardware antiques on the shelves, coffee percolating on the stove, a red telephone just for patrons by each chair, constant hi-fi, music and a chess board. The only item common to most barber shops are the barber chairs and the stacks of movie magazines, where clients could read about themselves and jay's stylists were under strict instructions, never to indulge in gossip. They bought a house just north of beverly hills on easton drive just off benedict canyon and right about that time. He and cammy split up and in 1964 jay started dating sharon tate and fell in love. Now we're actually above the house on easton drive and jay. Would park his porsche up here and walk down this wonderful staircase to a view of above the pool and of this wonderful house that was built in 1930.. Now, when jay was dating sharon, there's a really well-known photograph you're going to see in just a moment of sharon standing on this staircase, as i mentioned before, paul byrne worked as an executive for mgm and he and gene harlow dated for a while. They got married. Actually, in july 2nd of 1932 and on september 5th of 1932 paul byrne died of a gunshot wound to the head in this house. There'S speculation about it. May you know, may not have been suicide uh. You know who knows actually but uh. We do know for a fact that this is the house that uh that paul byrne died in and um jay sebring was actually attracted by that story. He thought it was kind of cool and he made the odd remark. He said that when i go the whole world's going to know about it now there is a paranormal story. Attached to this house, i found the article. It was by a guy named dick kleiner written in 1966, and it reads a boyfriend of the glamorous young star sharon. Tate owns a house in benedict canyon, which was once owned by jean harlow, and she was married to paul byrne. One night: when sharon's boyfriend jay was out of town, she called him and asked if she could stay in the house overnight. She said i had funny feelings every time i was there and i wanted to see what would happen that night as she sat in the bedroom, she saw a quote creepy little man and there were other visions she ran downstairs and she said i saw a vision Of someone tied to the staircase, it might have been me, it might have been jay whoever it was. It was a cut open at the throat. She wanted a drink for nerve, steadying purposes and she didn't know where the bar was something told her to open a bookcase and inside that bookcase was a hidden bar. She poured a shot. There was some wallpaper below the hidden bar for some reason she picked at it and tore it away. It covered a lovely copper base to a wine cellar. Now there are recently uh discovered eight millimeter movies of jay and sharon, and a few friends here by the pool of this house. There'S a there's sharon, tate uh standing in that doorway that you can see just to the right of those lawn chairs and in just a moment you're going to see sharon and jay standing by another staircase. So here they are standing at this staircase. It looks almost exactly the same. This house was used in once upon a time in hollywood. Tarantino did shoot at this house. I introduced tarantino to the owners of this house and they spent two weeks getting it prepped for the shoot. It ended up not being used in the released film, but it will be there's emil, hirsch, with the character mike moe, i think, is his name that played bruce lee. That'S the only part of this house that actually ended up showing in the film and here is jay and sharon together. Aaron and jay were together for about a year and a half, and she went to europe to make a movie called the fearless vampire killers with rowan, polanski and roman pursued her quite aggressively, and she fell for him and dumped jay. Now jay was apparently devastated by this, and when roman and sharon got married that uh well, it devastated him even further. Now he still remained friends with sharon tate and he asked her to introduce him to roman and the three of them actually became very close friends. J.C bring was not the inspiration for the warren beatty character in shampoo, though jay probably went on a bit of a tear with the ladies. After they broke up, i don't think he was ever. You know, worn beatty, [, __, ] style, but the character. The warren beatty played in shampoo was based on a combination of people, possibly jay, a man by the name of jack sahakian, a film producer by the name of john peters, who was also a stylist and, according to a book called warren beatty seduced america. It was said that he was based on the beverly hills hairdresser jean shakov, in august of 1969 sharon was staying at the house on cielo drive with two other people, abigail folger and wojciech furkowski roman was in london, making a movie and jay and sharon and the Others hung out together late in the afternoon of august, 8th that friday night jay left the house on easton drive. For the last time he was driving his black 1969 911 t coupe with the air-cooled rear engine, thanks patrick for that information. His neighbors last saw jay traveling down easton drive and making this lap uh. One of them commented that they waved at jay and he did not wave back, and this is the very route that jay drove to the house on cielo drive. So on. The left is the legendary el coyote mexican restaurant. It'S uh: it's not famous for its food, the food's good and uh, it's reasonably priced, but it's legendary around la because it's where sharon, tate and j.c bring and abigail folger had their last supper according to most published sources on the night friday night august, 8th 1969. As the legend goes, sebring signed in partial four, they were set in a section of a waitress named kathy palmer. According to the book, helped her skelter. She was the one who waited on them and, according to their autopsy reports, uh sharon would have had the enchiladas and abigail folger, the corn tamales. They all left the old coyote about 9 45 and went back up to uh their home and they were dead in about three hours. Now, when the detectives were investigating the crims, they went to the el coyote because uh a couple of people claimed they were invited to have dinner with them. But not a single person in the al coyote could remember seeing them, including kathy palmer. So i don't even know how that name came about in the book. Helter skelter, but that's what was published and kathy palmer was shown photographs. In fact, everyone working there that night was shown photographs of the victims and no one remembered seeing him here that night. So it's up for speculation, it's not a set in stone, but it's it's la lore and i go there all the times. For that reason, so um and everyone. Everyone believes that to be true, the four of them returned to the house on cielo drive and we kind of know what happened in there. Sharon, tate was actually strung up with a with a rope around her neck and it was thrown over a beam to uh and then tied around jay's neck and jay objected to this and after tex told him to shut up, they shot jay and then stabbed him. Seven times i believe, and then the rest of it is pretty much well known, but jay died, protecting sharon, tate or defending sharon tate, the funerals were set up on the same day. Those who attended sharon tate's funeral could attend jays a little bit later in the day. Guests included steve mcqueen, who delivered a brief eulogy uh henry fonda, peter fonda, paul newman, alex cord george hamilton james, garner john phillips and michelle phillips of the mamas and the papas attended. Jay'S california funeral from forest lawn glendale jay's body, was shipped back to detroit michigan. I'M at the former location of the ted c sullivan funeral home - this is 14230 mcnichols in detroit and uh saturday morning after the murders j.c brings funeral was held in this building. Jay'S body was in state here for friday and at 9 30 in the morning it was taken from here to precious blood church. So so this is the former precious blood church where sebring's funeral was held. The funeral mass was held here on a saturday morning. He was taken from this church to holy sepulchre cemetery, we're heading to cej at holy sepulcher cemetery in seth field michigan. This is a beautiful, beautiful cemetery. I love this place so so so all right! Well, that's impressive! I'M going to stop here and get my bearings get my map. Well, i'm sure there's a story there still looking. So i'm here at holy sepulchre cemetery. This is a message i i got this years ago. Lot. 281 grave 12. with section 24., so we're in section 24.. This is always a treat trying to figure out how the hell these are set up. He was a veteran, so i was sort of surprised. He didn't have a military and military tombstone, section. 24. 281. Let'S see well it's a little bit easier to find than i anticipated, and someone did visit him for the fourth of july. Somebody [ __ ] glued an ankh to it. Jesus, you know glued it [ __ ], so so jay look what they did to your shop. They brought it back. There'S your porsche! There'S you in front of your shop and look at that. They put it back. How cool is that, so you were not forgot. A guy by the name of emil hirsch portrayed you, i went up to your old house on easton drive and shot up there for quite a while and uh a couple days anyway, and when clinton said, hey scott meet jc bring. I knew it wasn't you, but it was pretty darn close and i got pretty choked up so rest in peace. He did some great work, he left a mark and he died sticking up for a woman who was pregnant so rest in peace. I want to reassure you that i put all that stuff back on jay's grave, and i took my things when i left so those tributes aside from the ones that are stuck to his tombstone earlier his uh marker is gone. I tried to leave it looking better than i found it. So thank you guys for watching. I appreciate it very much. Uh jay's own nephew actually is releasing a documentary later this year called cutting to the truth. I can't wait to see that i want to thank specifically holly klein lexi gaines chris harris joni guerrara, joel wire, mary beth friel james harrington, gail landrum, david markland, brandon, vestal, cece, cece, kristen, marino, harry martin. Psych Corp: Scott's humility is only outmatched by his warmth, sincerity, and being an all around great guy. This video is also a wonderful addition to the "Six Degrees of Helter Skelter" documentary that was hosted by Scott. His investigative reporting never fails to command one's attention. Thank you, Scott, for your great work. Stay safe and be well.

Rhonda Harvey: I think it is great that you focus on the victim. There needs to be more of that and less on the perp in our society.

Alan Tindell: He died trying to protect a pregnant woman whom he was probably very much in love with. A tragic end but in the last moments of his life he was heroic. Few people get to end their lives that way.

Bohemian Celt: Jay Sebring was a Korean Wat veteran and a bright light. Thank you for making this video. All of the victims really deserve this kind of treatment. I also love the Steve Parent video: I almost got emotional looking at his friends carrying his coffin and hearing about his poor mother and father.

David S: I was fifteen years old, living on the west side of Detroit in 1969 when Jay Sebring was murdered. Up until now, I never knew of Jay's connection to the Detroit area, or that he was buried close by. A very sad story. I am glad to see these videos paying tribute to the victims of such vicious crimes. It was a very haunting time for those who lived through that era.

Wendi Talbot: My dad was friends with him. My dad is still a barber today at 75years old. My dad used Sebring shampoo until he was no longer able to order

Letty Guerra: I'm so glad you focus on the victims. I just saw your video about Steven Parent, and even though he wasn't famous you were able to bring importance to his life because every life is important no matter how humble, and you were also able to let people know that he was loved.

Marie Edwards: Jay and Sharon were a gorgeous couple. Sad and tragic ending.

Kathleen Cabot: I think of Sharon Tate, Jay, Sebring, Abigail Folger, Voytek Frykowski and Stephen Parent every August 8-9 and bless their memory.

Chiming in: Watching this now, it is awesome. I always wanted to know more about Jay. He seemed like a great guy and I really believe he died trying to protect Sharon.

Jane Beatty: He was a hero who loved Sharon in life and death. Rest well Jay.

Ray Ross: Thanks Scott for putting the focus on the victims. You do a great job on these videos.

Pam C: This was incredibly fascinating and respectfully done. I love how you help remind us that the victims were more than a blurb in the newspaper. Thank you!

Melissa Love: To see him alive & talking , just living his life not knowing the horror that awaited him! Just so sad !

Pamela Phillips: Thank you for the information about Jay. The background on him as a person beyond a murder victim was refreshing. So glad to hear about someone besides the murderers. Suck if hearing about them.

Scottie Burnett: Jay was murdered on my 12th birthday. I always admired him for attempting to protect Sharon. Scott, thanks for the lovely video! I’m so glad the movie honored him.

Heidi Oller: Very well done Scott. It's nice to hear about Jay. I don't think I've ever seen his grave. I think he'd approve of this. Rest In Peace Jay.

Wondering Aloud: Now you have to do Abigail Folger and Voytek Frykowski ....there’s not a ton of info out there on them...I know Abigail’s father protected her legacy and threatened to sue anyone in the media who wrongly portrayed her

Holly Lynn: I actually watched 'Shampoo' lastnite on the 51st anniversary of Jay's murder...such a shame his old neighborhood in Michigan is soo rundown and around his shop in Cali...thanx again Scott for your tour of his life and your compassion at his final resting place❣✂️

JOLENE HENDRICKSON: You really do a great job portraying the victims lives.

spike Landman: Absolutely touching story Scott. I was disappointed when the video was over. You did a smash up great job on this. Thank you.

justin holmes: I like how he stood up for what was right.

Deelola 52: Never heard Jays story. Thank you for bringing it to us. Jay will never be forgotten

Sarah Black: I was a child visiting my sister in LA when the murders were committed and the terrible dread and sadness I felt then I still feel whenever I am reminded of that horrible time. Thank you for your caring and respect.

Niamh Kelly: Always breaks my heart watching anything about the Sharon Tate murders..thanks Scott for these videos a big fan from Ireland

Diane G: Great video, Scott. At the start of the video, the street scene, I said to myself that looks like Detroit. I grew up there when things we good, left when they got bad. You're right, the once beautiful neighborhoods are destroyed. Poor Jay didn't deserve this fate.

Cheree Cargill: I remember reading years ago, before this happened, that DeForest Kelley who had been a star of Westerns in the 50s, went to Jay Sebring to give him an updated modern hairstyle. The new style led to Kelley being cast in Star Trek.

musicalgaluk: Thank you so much for focusing on the victims, not the killers. I've never been to the States but, when I do, I'm going to go on one of your tours

Jay Trace: I have been fascinated with this case since high school back in the ‘80’s, at least. Sharon was so beautiful and so innocent in my eyes, to boot. I had a rudimentary knowledge of Sebring, to be sure. Thank you for fleshing out this man and, at least for me, letting us know that his last gallant moments were spent in defense of that lovely women and her unborn child. I would like to think that I would have had the guts to do the same in his situation.

Bonnie Brown: You did a great job putting this video together . I like how you matched up the before and after pictures . Even though it was sad , I liked how you drove the last route Jay Sebring took to Cielo Drive . I subscribed awhile back and I always hit the like button . I enjoy your video's .

jinxie clark: thank you so much for jay and steve parent's stories. hardly ever hear anything about them. jay was such a fascinating man. strange, same birth year as my dad. somehow my dad seemed so much older. lol

Dan de Lench: Sure you know by now that I appreciate how you tell the stories of these dear souls and I knew very little of Jay outside his position as a top hair stylist and of course his horrible end. Like you I don't pay much attention to the perps in this story and just focus only on the victims with any detail. I'm glad you know what you do and you do a real service keeping alive their memories of these dear people, cheers Scott and have a great week.

King Furious: I understand he died a very brave man standing up for Sharon, may his killer die in jail

Miranda Dickerson: Love your videos Scott. Please keep up your work. I think your awesome ❤

Kearen Baugh: Excellent job you gave life to the victims by showing they were more than victims

reving19: Scott, you do great work! Can you please do a video on Abigail Folger? She almost seems forgotten about as much as Steven Parent. But she she seemed to have a good heart. Please consider it?

t18amgr: Scott is always so Classy and respectful. Bless.

funny girl: I love how you talked to him and told him about the movie and how he has not been forgotten. Lovely and respectful as always Scott.

LadyKC67: Omg Scott. At the end when you showed Jay the pics and how they brought his salon back, that was so touching. Well done.

V. 1954: Thank you for posting their stories. I was 17 when the murders occurred and it was terrifying and unbelievable . He was what we now call a "standup guy". May he rest in peace.

Debbie Clark: I enjoy your storytelling of a person's life. You're dedication and honesty makes your Vlogs so interesting to watch.

Sheeba Monet: Jay was a stylish Hollywood celebrity Hair Stylist for men. R.i.p.

Gucci girl 05: Wonderful tribute to Jay Sebring. I am a big fan of your videos. Thank you for all you do... ☮️ peace from Massachusetts ✌️

OG S1MPSON: Thanks for putting this video up, what a great tribute to Jay Sebring. RIP

Kathleen Cabot: Fascinating and eerie to see the route in real time that he drove and the houses. Thank you for this.

GhostCity Shelton: Very well done . Jay and what happened... deserves to be remembered, and why not be remembered by a very kind and sensitive person such as yourself.

Sharnjit Sharon Lalli: May he RIP and all the victims of that tragic night RIP God Bless all of them forevermore eternally

Robert Carly: If my memory is correct, many of the people whom attend the funerals were packing guns and after what happened, who could blame them. Nice job Scott!! Rest In Peace Jay.

Freebird Jackson: Hey Scott, Thanks for keeping us entertained during these times. Love the detail you put into your work!

NoraAlbo: Ended up here by accident. Glad I did. You have me totally captivated with Jay's story! The way you put the story together, from past to present, with pics and footage is remarkable! Thank you..❤

Wild Bill: What a cool home. Its got to be a very strange feeling standing right where Sharon was when that picture was taken. Its almost like you can feel their spirit.

MD Kutzler: Thank you for cleaning up Sebring's head stone....in a weird sense don't you feel like Jay belongs to all of us and to personalize his head stone is just not right. On your drive down Benedict Canyon and over to Cielo I wondered what songs were playing in his car and what some his thoughts might have been in what would have been his final few hours. Damn it, why couldn't everybody party at Sebring's on Easton that night? The what ifs drive me crazy.

Jennifer Rumage: This was so interesting! Thanks for doing this. Jay was the same age as my dad, who is 86 right now.

Nesa Dcruz: Sharon had a premonition when she had the paranormal experience.

SFS116: Another spectacular video. I even enjoyed the drives. I kind of hated it for Jay since he didn't wind up married to Sharon. Seeing Once Upon a Time in Hollywood left me with a sad feeling after it was over....with the reality of what actually happened. However, I think the movie is a masterpiece.

Michele Hood: This is a lovely video, Scott ❤️ Thank you for treating Jay’s story with dignity. You’re top notch

Fabulous Woman: Thank you for this, it is so well done and appreciate the work you do.

HillCo Monkey: The 'Sebring' hair products were the "In" thing in the late '60s. It was sold at my barber's shop / salon. I don't remember it being better than other products but it was a status symbol item.

Jeff Behrens: One of your best blogs. I appreciate the coordination between Detroit and LA. Great work..

Jerry Zundel: Scott. You have the best channel on YouTube. I have been to his grave in Southfield but never knew the story how it got there. Creepy vibe I felt there. The worker helped me find it. Knew exactly who I was looking for — he was pretty creepy btw. Lol

tuutts39: Thanks for this. Met you in June last year at your awesome museum. You took time to speak with my aunt and me for some time. You’re very gracious and sweet.

Jan M: Larry Geller, Elvis’s hairdresser and spiritual guide worked in Jays’ salon when Elvis hired him. And Jay hired Ed Parker as a bodyguard and Ed became a close friend of Elvis and guarded him.

Daniel Kokoska: Scott you are the man, your content is freaking awesome I could listen to you talk about this shit all day long.. p.s. I've had ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD ON repeat since last night ..

Stephanie Stanley: This was an amazing, thorough report.. So respectful in its presentation. I hope Jay and Sharon are at peace. Cleaning his marker, showing pictures of the restored salon was so moving.

Mimmzy Freeman: This was absolutely amazing, thank you so much for such a poignant portrayal of one of the victims of that awful crime... god bless...

Don Culver: Great video Scott. Your knowledge on matters of the dark side are very enlightening if not somewhat disturbing. That’s why we love you. What a shame to see a once great city reduced to ruins.

Rita Rizzo: I totally consider you an expert & love how much you know esp about all of the victims (hence why I love your channel!) another amazing video! i always secretly wished that Sharon & Jay married lol

exitscreaming: The time and dedication you put into these videos is amazing , and I'm fasinated by them all . Great job .

hollylindblom: Thank you for what you do Scott!

Nina Mc: The end of this made me cry. Good job Scott. May Jay Rest In Peace in Heaven where he belongs. I’m sure he & Sharon & their friends & family are happy. Luckily they’ll never run into any of the Manson family who will hopefully suffer in hell where they belong.

A Rare Penny: Just found your channel. This was done so well. Thank you and I look forward to watching more of your work!

Angela Temke: Loved it! You and your Troy did a fabulous job!

Dave Jones: Another great bit of history to the Manson murders legend Scott! I also recommend Scott's brilliant documentary ' The Six Degrees of Helter Skelter" for all those who want to learn more.

B.A. Brackus: Jay's last name was (Kummer) It originated from Germany...It means someone who suffered Loss or Misfortune....l found that interesting considering the way his life ended so tragically....

Alice Long: Thanks for your caring and insightful work and for “taking us there.” Just as Mr. Tarantino‘s film is a gift for many of us who were young in August, 1969 — it releases from us a weight we didn’t realize we were still carrying — you are keeping alive that history as a tribute to its victims. They and their stories must not be forgotten. Thanks again.

Mischelle McFall: Perfection as always Scott!! Thank you so much for sharing their lives with us.

James Williams: Very well done, Scott. And always with respect. Good man.

1980Nicoletta: Thank you Scott.beautiful tribute to Jay

Tim Fortenberry: Thanks Scott for another great video. Your insight, thoughtfulness and attention to detail really take one on a journey. The fact that you treat these victims with such care and consideration say a lot about you. These have been so fascinating. I do hope that you will do Abigail Folger next. I appreciate that you don't assume or speculate about the lives of these people but I would definitely like to have some framing around the relationships they had with each other. I think the Steven Parent one video was excellent in that regard. Thanks again.

Ria Mazzarone: Great job Scott, thank you! That Easton Dr house is beautiful as is the cemetery. RIP Jay.

Carmen Martinez: I loved your you-tube video on Jay Sebring...thank you. I did not know anything about him until I saw your video. Just tragic what happened to him and the others there that night.

Alex P: You are an awesome storyteller Scott. Well done. RIP Jay ❤️

Crystal Butterfly: You can feel his presents standing next to the tree watching people pay respects to him. Jay is glad people still remember him after all those years. His spirit is free he is whole and a true Angel of God

Mr. J: You’re doing a wonderful job I can tell your hearts in it

Marci Reed-Grihalva: Fantastic segment Scott! I enjoyed it immensely. Adding character, to just a name for those who didn't know, does Jay's legacy justice. Thank you.

Rosey Chapman: He did hair styles for movies and TV. My dad watches old westerns and I was watching with him and Sebring's name shows up in the credits as the hairstylist. My mind was blown, I never thought that Sebring did that.

WendyKS93: I remember when these terrible crimes happened and have read everything I can on the case and I have always felt that Jay Sebring was the one who truly, dearly and deeply loved Sharon to the very end. The fact that he and Sharon stayed close friends till the time they died says a lot to me. If Roman really loved her then he had a strange way of showing it. Jay died trying to protect Sharon and was a hero in my eyes.

Janiece: Scott this video is amazing. I loved the last part. You can tell you truly care about their lives and not just their terrible murder. Rip Jay Sebring

Christopher Carlton: I love what you do, Scott. I just watched 6 Degrees Of Helter Skelter yesterday. Great stuff!

George Smith: Loved the video, Scott, lots of great info on Jay Sebring and Sharon Tate.

S C: If you haven't already, you can listen to Amos Russel's questioning and polygraph on vimeo. He worked for Jay and was staying at his house when the murders happened. I always thought it was interesting that Sharon, Abigail, Voytek and Jay had dinner at Jay's house on Thursday August 7.

gdcat777: "Not Jay's creations..." oh the humour never ends, lol. Now those are hair hoppers. Great presentation and historical insights.

Dray B: Great documentary! Thank you for putting this together in Jay's memory and for all his friends who died in those tragic murders.

holocene_: Scott.. I live about 30 minutes outside of Detroit and never knew Jay was from here. Going to pay my respects to his gravesite soon... thank you for the information.

E Thomas: Thank you Scott for this wonderfully updated piece on Jay. I was so stoked when I drove by his old salon with the signature four windows. Had no idea it was a driveway. It was also a pleasure to finally meet you at your tour office! The plethora information you dig up and share is a real treat look into the lens of an old world! Thank you.

Abigail Philips: I felt like I was there with you, visiting places I’ll probably never get the chance to, so thank you.

Kel: I just love these videos! I've never been to LA, and what I love so far seeing in these driving videos are the foliage and the Spanish inspired architecture. It's truly a beautiful area. I'm so glad I found Scott's channel :)

donna Millner: I love how you stay so respectful and you bring these people to life. I was born in 68. So I was too young to know anything about the people. Thank you.

Erin Sings: Thank you for doing these. I am very much a victim's advocate and want to know about their lives. They mattered

johnny5finger: What you are doing on this channel is really a public service. You are recounting historic events and almost no one is discussing anymore. Thank you for your efforts.
