One Year Of Fast Natural Hair Growth From Big Chop (Photos Included)

Hey you guys it's alia and i'm back with another video, so i'm super excited because i'm here with my one year update yes, so i actually just got done taking down this braid out um, so a video will be coming soon. What did i use? I used living proof, so a review on that will be coming soon, but yeah, if you guys did not know - or maybe you just have not seen. I big chopped my hair last year on may 26th. So if you have not seen that video, i will link it down below, so you can check it out and yeah. I'Ve had so much growth. You guys, like it, has been a journey going through this natural hair journey, again after literally growing my hair out, for i think, like six years so um. I of course just like all my other updates. I have a three month. Six and a nine month update video, where i just show you guys um like different hair photos and transformations and how much growth i got from those couple of months. So i will be inserting some clips showing you what my hair looks like back in like may of 2021 and june of 2021. To now so i'll show you guys a length check i'll show you some different style comparisons, so you guys can actually see for yourself the growth that i've had, even though it's clear my hair has grown. So i think i'm just going to go ahead and get that out of the way now and show you and then i'll come back and just kind of talk about the journey. Give you guys some more tips and all that good stuff, um so yeah all right. So now that you guys have seen my growth, i'm not too sure on like how many inches or anything that i've gotten since i um you know since then, because i haven't really measured or did anything like that, but i haven't grown some inches um. Of course, before i get into anything y'all i have to, i have to talk about this. Okay, my goddess curls divine hair elixir. This is from my own brand goddess curls. You guys have seen me using this. Even before i've been chopped, i have been using this consistently since i've been chopped on my scalp um and the proof is in the pudding. Y'All could see how fast my hair has been growing and also it just really helps with my dry scalp and all that good stuff. So that is just one thing that i've been doing to, or that's one thing i've been doing consistently to my hair that i feel like has been helping with you know the health of it, the growth of it um. I do also just kind of want to talk about the journey a little bit. I know a lot of people even to this day. Still ask me: do you regret big chopping? Do you wish you never been trapped? No, even on that day, i had no regrets. I knew i wanted to big chop my hair and today i have no regrets because look. My hair is 100 healthy, no heat damage, no color damage, no anything um. My hair is just 100 healthy, my curls spring up, they're, not limp and lifeless. So i would never regret that big chop ever um, i'm very, very happy with the results i've gotten just from one year of growth, so i know by year two and definitely year, three like it's just gon na, be amazing, and also i love my dark hair. You guys i have had, or i had blonde hair literally. I think, since i was like 13., that's when my mom, let me start coloring and all that stuff and blonde was just my signature color, so to have blonde hair for basically like over 10 years and now, just back to my natural color, like 100 natural, no Color, no, nothing! I love it. I love my dark curls um. I have answered that. I would dye my hair in the future, i'm not against hair dye, i'm just if i were to do it again. I would just be 100 safe if i'm gon na dye. My hair, i'm not using heat like it's really hard to maintain colored, hair and also use heat um, but do i see it in my future right now? No, so i really haven't had like any issues with my hair throughout this journey. Um, i can say when i got to the awkward phase i feel like a couple months in i did not like my hair it. I felt like the twist outs. Just looked like old and motherly um, i don't know i didn't like my wash and goes either because you know i when i do my wash and go's or anybody i feel like. That is like the style that shrinks your hair, the most, and so it's like um didn't like that. I also hated that stringerling was just taking forever like the first couple of months watching those was fine, but once my hair started growing out, that's why you guys have not seen me do a wash and go in a while, but um yeah. I have really enjoyed this journey. You guys um. If you are someone out there whose hair is damaged, is dry. It'S breaking heat damage, color damage, whatever the heck just cut it off, like literally just cut it off, don't worry about who's, gon na say what don't worry about. Oh, i think i'm gon na look ugly. Just do it! Okay, i promise once you like, start fresh and really just take care of your hair. The results are going to come like i personally just feel like the way you treat your hair shows in your hair, so other than that. I really don't have too much to like really share. I feel like i've shared as many tips as i could in all of my other hair updates. Nothing'S really changed still staying consistent with my hair, regimen um, i'm actually going to film my current favorite hair products. Right after this, so that will be coming soon, but you guys know i change up products so much um, but my hair regimen just literally consists of um, shampoo, conditioner or deep conditioner and then a styler, occasionally i'll use a leave-in and a styler like a cream Or a gel um, and then i also do protein treatments, not all the time. Probably every um couple of months i've been doing protein treatments, not that i really need it, but it's just to for me to just maintain my hair and ensure that it remains strengthened and um. You know healthy as far as trims, i'm still basically just trimming as needed. If i'm twisting or braiding my hair - and i see some shaggly ends, i just snip it on off um. I'M trying to think what else do i like doing my hair? Oh, let me show you guys: i have been eating these. These are from bounce curl, it's their vegan, collagen, boosting hair and skin gummies. Now i just literally started using these this month. I believe so i don't i'm not saying that this has helped with the growth of my hair or anything. I feel like it's definitely too short of a time to say that, but these taste real good and it benefits the hair. So why not now, i feel like one of the only major changes that i am going to start implementing in my hair. Regimen is heat every last single hair update. I'Ve told you guys, no heat, no heat. I don't want to blow dry. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do that, which i still kind of stand by, i'm not using a flat iron or anything like that. But if you guys watched my video using the rev air, i did blow dry my hair, so that i could do a stretched um roller set, which came out amazing and the rev air. For me. I definitely am so glad that i have it just because i do you know i i do want to use heat now. As far as the blow dryer goes and my revlon blow dryer brush just gets so hot. So i'm glad i have the um rev air, which uses like half the wattage of a blow dryer so that i can use it sparingly. I'M not gon na be blow drying, my hair every single month or every couple weeks or whatever um. But when i do use it, i know that my hair is gon na, be okay. It'S not gon na be too much it's not gon na break, etc, um. So that would be the only difference. You guys will probably see me doing a little bit more blow. Dried hair styles, but other than that y'all. I don't wan na make this video too much longer any longer than it needs to be. That is my hair updates. I am happy with it um yeah, big chop. If you know, if you need a big chop, y'all stop holding on to that raggedy, hair them damaged, ends, cut it and be free. So that is my one year update you guys um! All i really want to say is just be consistent. I know everybody says that about everything: okay, but consistency is key. Don'T big chop your hair and just expect that? Oh a big chop, now it's going to be nice and healthy. No, you still need to moisturize it. You still need to wash it. You still need to, you know, make sure you're not doing styles that are going to break your hair. Okay, don't big chop your hair and then start bleaching, your hair, all over again, you know so just remain consistent with you know. Healthy hair, regimens and you'll be good, also be patient. Okay, everybody's hair doesn't grow at the same rate. Um and everybody doesn't have the same hair knowledge like it may take you a little bit longer to figure out what works for your hair, that is trial and error um, but you know eventually you're gon na get there. So i think this will be the last hair update. I do i don't really see a point in doing anymore. Maybe when i get to two years, or maybe one and a half um, you know one and a half years, i will do another hair update.
