We all know that there are a ton of different products for styling wavy curly hair out there. Have you ever wondered the difference between a foam or a mousse which one you should pick and why? Let'S compare hey there guys welcome back to my channel if you're brand new here hi my name's courtney, and we talk all things: wavy, curly, hair here on this channel and some extra stuff, sometimes but mostly wavy, curly hair. Today, i thought it would be fun to compare two products side by side, but not by splitting my head into halves, because i can never style. My hair really well, and i don't feel like the comparisons are fair. When i do one side, one way and one side the other way, so we did two separate wash days for this video. I used the exact same shampoo and conditioner and leave-in conditioner for this process and both products were applied on damp hair. What two products are we talking about? The curl talk, foam and the curl talk mousse. Now, let's first talk about the curl talk, foam foams tend to contain more water than mousses, but water is the first ingredient on both products. Also, foams tend to contain a hold ingredient and not as many moisturizing ingredients as a mousse mousses tend to lend more hold to the hair, but also more moisture. I personally find that i can get product build up by accidentally grabbing too much of a mousse. It is very tricky to get the right amount of product every single time you wash your hair. However, with a foam, all you have to do is consistently pump out the same number of pumps, each time and you're going to get a very consistent amount of product. Most mousses contain polyquaterniums as one of their main ingredients. This ingredient can lend some hold to the hair, but really it's a very moisturizing ingredient. Polyquaterniums are also prone to building up on finer hair. If your hair is more coarse and has trouble retaining moisture from wash day to wash day, a mousse is a better way to go, whereas if you have finer hair that is very easily over hydrated and weighed down, a foam may be a better option for you. Now, if we're being very technical, curltalk did intend this particular product as a refreshing product. They did not intend it as a wash day styling product, but i did compare the ingredients label to several other foams in my collection and they are very comparable and i got ta say that this is pretty comparable to most foams that i have tried in practice. So i feel like it holds up pretty well. The reason that i wanted to use a foam and a mousse from the same product line is that i thought it was the most fair comparison between foams and mousses. What do you all think is my science good here, i'm trying to control the variables while running this wavy curly hair experiment on myself. Now, let's go ahead and get to the application day one i decided to go with the foam and i applied it on damp hair, meaning that i washed and styled my hair and applied my leave-in conditioner then plopped, my hair in the perfect hair care towel, which Is going to remove some water, my hair is not going to be soaking, soaking wet, and then i pumped out a few pumps of the product. This is what the product looks like when you start to rub it around in your hands. You can feel that all the bubbles are popping. Most foams actually contain a gentle surfactant in them. I believe the surfactant in the curl talk, curl foam is sodium lauryl sarcosinate. I believe i said that right, i'm trying anyway, once you have kind of smoothed the product out in your hands. You can see that it's kind of like disappearing. As i rub my hands together, i would gently glaze it over my hair and scrunch it in you. Could apply this with an open palm scrunch if your hair is really prone to frizzing when you scrunch it, for whatever reason my hair has stopped doing that quite so much so i have talked about using an open palm scrunch for application of foams in the past. I didn't do that here. I went ahead and scrunched my hair all the way. Now. What was really cool about this product is that, as i applied it to the sides of my head, i started to notice some really beautiful, curl definition happening so as to the amount of product that i am using on my hair. When i do this, i am going by feel i am getting product and gently scrunching it in until i feel like i have the same level of product in my hair that i would have when i apply a gel. I kind of want to feel a gentle squish in my hair, almost like my hair has too much product in it when i'm done. The reason that i do this is that, even though my hair is fine, i have a whole lot of it. So if i don't use enough product one there's not going to be even distribution and two i'm not going to have enough hold for wash day. So when i scrunch in, i want to feel a squish of product, not just water, okay. I hope that makes sense once i had product applied to my whole head. This is what the curl clumps were. Looking like, i really feel, like foams are good for bringing curl clumps back together, especially when applied on damp hair. They make for bigger, juicier curl clamps. The foams do i believe this is due to the high water content after i was done applying the product. I diffused my hair. This is what my hair was looking like directly after diffusing. You can see that things are looking pretty good like i can kind of go out my door without looking too terribly crazy. The only thing that is a little bit messed up are my roots. As there was no cast in my hair. I just felt the need to do a gentle root fluff and i was good to go for the day. Also to be fair, i am kind of showing you what i did for the day, how i beat up both sets of sets of hair. So definitely a windy west texas day with the curl top foam. Anybody else walk out their door and immediately the wind blows your hair and kind of busts up all your curl clumps yeah. This is this just happens to me all the time. So a product has to have ridiculous hold in order to last on me because of where i live, and after wearing this hair down for the majority of the day, i did decide to put it up in a silk scrunchie, because in my household after 5 pm All hair goes up in a pineapple. It'S the rules here. If you come and visit me in my home, hair will be pineappled by 5 p.m. This is cause i can't stand having my hair touch my face. This is why i put it up every day: it's not technically what you're supposed to do. Okay, but i do it - and this is what the curl talk foam was looking like directly after pulling it out of the pineapple on day two wow. I forgot the power of letting your hair settle. This is what my hair looked like after it had settled for day. Two honestly, i really liked this day, two hair. It was big, it was floofy and very cute. Now, let's get into the curl talk, mousse same principle as the day before. Actually, i washed my hair a couple of days after the foam, i'm trying not to wash my hair every day, but for whatever reason, i did notice that my curls were a little bit smaller. My curl clumps were a little bit stringier. When i took my hair out of the plop on this particular day, just goes to show you that you try your dernist to run a wavy curly hair experiment to replicate results on a wash day. You do all the same things, and still the results are slightly different anyway, once i had this is what the product looks like when you take it out of the tube. When you dispense it there we go, it is way creamier feeling and the more you rub. Your hands together the creamier. It feels it also you'll notice that the bubbles don't pop the product doesn't seem to disappear as you smooth it out into your hands same application technique. Here, i'm going to glaze it over my hair and gently scrunch it in. I am going for the same feeling that i went for with the foam so as soon as i kind of feel full saturation when i scrunch. I know that i have gotten enough product, i'm just going to continue applying product here until i feel like i have a similar amount and distribution in my hair. If this was two gels, i could measure it with like a teaspoon measurer, but it's not it's. Two. Foams, all right - this is what the curl clamps are looking like after i have finished, applying the product, and i am just going to go ahead and diffuse my hair. This is what the hair is. Looking like right after i got done, diffusing it yeah. It looks a lot stringier than it did with the foam just saying, but i also have better curl enhancement and possibly better definition. Since i diffuse my hair to 90 dry, i have to wander around my house and let it finish air drying. Yes, i did this on both wash days diffuse to 90. Let it finish air drying. The mousse did give me a pretty decent cast, so it did take a little bit of time to scrunch it out. I really fluffed the roots, really made sure that everything was in place and organized for the day. This is what the hair was looking like directly after scrunching out the crunch. What do you all think now, on the day that i used the mousse? It was also pretty windy. It was really similar to how it was with the foam again at 5 p.m. In the evening, my hair is going to go up in a silk scrunchie. That'S just the way we roll, okay, keeping the variables the same here so that all things are fair. This is what my hair was looking like right when i took it out of the overnight pineapple, and this is what it was looking like once i had let it settle all right. That is how these two products performed in my hair on wash day and for their wash day longevity, we kind of took a look at how they held up for day two pause. The video comment down below what you think, which look do you think you would prefer? How do you think the foam compared to the mousse on wash day and also p.s? I have given up on refreshing my hair. I put in a lot of work on wash day that i refuse to refresh on day two and then my hair is so oily greasy on day three, that i just go ahead and wash it so right now in this season of life, i am washing and Styling, my hair every other day, i'm cool with it. That is just where we are. I am not making it to day three or day four - and i am not refreshing so not included in this video in this wavy curly hair experiment. But theoretically, this is a refreshing product that i should probably test out. Should we test this out as a refreshing product guys? This feels like another fun, wavy curly, hair experiment that needs to happen also bonus. I really liked these wash day routines, because i felt like my hair dried really quickly, and both products gave me really pretty wash day. Results like this is awesome. If i'm in a season where i'm having to wash my hair more frequently, then less frequently shortening the wash day routine by shortening dry time time, i'm having to spend diffusing, my hair is awesome. I have found that applying products on damp hair tends to do this. No matter what and both foams and mousses have a shorter dry time than a gel would even when applied on damp hair, alright guys that is it for this video. Thank you so much for watching. I really appreciate you guys. I sure hope this is helpful. This is something that i have been wanting to do for a long time. I'Ve been curious about. Have you been curious about it? Are there any other questions that you have about foams and mousses and the difference between the two? If there are comment down below - and i will do my very best to help you guys out - i hope you all are having an absolutely fantastic day and i will talk to y'all later bye. You

Erin: Glad to see someone say they've stopped refreshing! I have too. I have fine/thin hair and trying to refresh just weighs my hair down or makes it stringy. I just wash every other day. Wash day is nice, day 2 I either roll with it or put it up then wash by day 3. It works for me. I ENJOY washing and styling my hair. It's part of my "me time" so I see no need to stretch my wash days out.

Mattar: Okay hear me out: mousse on wet hair and foam on damp hair (same wash routine) so mousse, plop, foam. GAME CHANGER

Ben Bendall: I've been using mousse for such a long time but the foam looks so good I might switch! I feel like the foam looks alot softer but with a bit less volume, the curls look so juicy tho!

Sarah Greco: Hi Courtney! I never realized there was a difference between a foam and a mousse but you explained it so well, and it makes sense! Gels are usually too heavy for my fine hair, so I tried the curl talk mousse and it is STILL too heavy!! I too get greasy very quickly. I'll have to try out the foam!

Blacklab Goldens: April 10 was my two year curl anniversary!! And all because one day one of your one brand wash days popped up into my feed early covid. Thank you so much!! I’m so grateful

Faye Berman: I love both looks on you (also no refreshing hair,I’ll just re wash), the mousse definitely gives more defined results, but I love the way the foam worked for you. I see those Curlfriend Collective scrunchies.

Heather Condon: I’d just like to get it on record that THIS is the video that finally helped me find my holy grail. I’ve been at this a good year and had tried foam (Giovanni) before, with eh results. I circled back to it after watching this and daaaaaym I am officially done product hopping!! I used a tad of Curlsmith leave in on soaking wet still in the shower hair, towel scrunch it a bit, prayer hands the foam and scrunch in, towel scrunch again then pixie diffuse and BAM! I’m med-low porosity, uber fine and low density.

Jessica Helland: I have coarse, dense, wavy hair and love mousse instead of gel because it’s much easier for me to evenly distribute it on damp hair. I love both of these products, the mousse for wash day and the foam for refresh days. Thanks for covering these! Such a good video!

Michelle Beckham: Both results look beautiful, but if I had to choose a favorite, I’d say the mousse added more waves in the back. And yes, do a refresh test please.

Marty deBlois: This was so interesting. I think I liked the foam best. I would love to see how it worked on refreshing day two and three. Thanks for doing such interesting, helpful tutorials.

Amalie Kandel Damgaard: I've always loved the way mousses makes my hair look - it's very similar to yours (low porosity, high density but medium coursness which could be why it handles the moisture well and doesn't build up ;) ) - I usually top it over a gel, which gives amazing hold and definition. Foams however are in my case better for refresh as they hydrate my hair better and are less frizz-creating. Thank you for trying out all the things Courtney - u are vry helpfull as always!

Dorottya Dankó: Love both results! I won't choose between them. The mousse looked like it had more hold and definition, the foam gave softer looking waves. I noticed, that I can go for either of them and it depends on my mood, which one I choose :)

April Alfaro: My hair loves the curl talk products especially the foam! I started out using it only for refresh l, then decided to try it in styling instead of the mousse and had great results!! I like both, but in attempting to not have such a large collection of products, plan to only repurchase the foam once I'm out of the mousse. I found the foam much easier to use and preferred how my hair felt after it fried, the mousse was to hard to get a consistent amount each time and I could definitely feel the product on my hair but did have better hold than the foam.

Danielle Brown: I have long, fine, dense, wavy hair and I use the mousse as single styler often! I spend a lot of time in Mexico and this is the only hair product I have at the house there as well. It’s lightweight, good hold, makes my bleached hair look shiny. It’s a win for me!

Angela G: They both look really good on you. The foam looks softer and the mousse looks more defined. Your hair is so pretty. I don't do much refreshing either. I wash every other day or maybe every 3rd day. I like foams as wash day styler but I like a softer hold. I am about to completely give up on mousses all together. They are the only styler that gives me a cast but my hair turns out really stringy. And that is even after I SOTC and root fluff. I have used several different styling techniques w/the same results. I am going to give it one more chance.

Abbi nichols: I like both but the mousse looks more product-y as a final result and the foam is WAY more my style!

Loch Briar Knits: Both looks looked great. I'm only a few months into the CGM. I had a false start and threw in the towel and then restarted. I'm determined to keep my hair natural and healthy. I've let the grey grow in and now am working on reviving my natural curl/wave (I'm in the 2B range). I've learned A LOT watching your videos - so thank you! I haven't tried mousse or foam yet. My hair tends more to the dry side of things, so maybe I'll start with the mousse. I also pineapple my hair when I go to bed or on day 3 when I don't have time to refresh, or the refresh doesn't turn out so great.

Nikki: The foam just looked so natural and pretty. The mousse made your hair look producty but still pretty. I actually preferred the second day of mousse to the first.

Molly Fitz Brown: I have both these products! Both styles looked great on you! The mouse was a tad more defined but helps with longevity. I use the mouse wash day and add a little of the foam day 2 (adds the bounce), then I can look good day 3 still ;) Great video!

Claire Morgan: THANK YOU! I needed that explanation of foams, I've been so confused about them lol. Before my official "wavy/curly hair journey" I used to only use mousse. I've been more focused on gel now but might go back to mousse. Idk, but I definitely want to try that foam. I most definitely want to reduce my diffusing time. I have pretty much the same routine as you as far as washing and styling every other day bc of oily hair and NO REFRESH. That is too much time and effort for not a lot of pay-off! Up in a bun it goes!

Kriss Laber: I’m so glad I found your channel. I have the same texture and porosity as you do and only realized it was curling a few years ago (and not just frizzing as I got grays). All the other curly bloggers out there seem to have coarser hair or more curl. I FINALLY feel like I have mastered my curls after finding you a couple weeks ago.

Tracy: I never thought about the ability to get a consistent amount of product with a foam - great point! As for styling results I love those fluffy foam waves…so much so that I just bought myself some NYM foam!

Nicole Polachak: Thank you! I just discovered you and I appreciate all of this! I appreciate that you are going over the products throughly. I find I like the pump style foams better than the mousse.

Monique V.: Hi Courtney and all wavy girls! I am new to the method and found your videos so helpful. I am Italian, and here it’s not so easy to find products that are approved by the method, and they are definitely not cheap… I will be holidaying in the US next month, so I was wondering if you have suggestions about what products I could buy to take home. Possibly drug store ones that would be easy to find and cheap-ish… something that works well and you’d recommend. My hair is 2B-2C, very fine and low density, and med-high porosity. Thanks y’all!

Hellomynameis: Loved the foam look, the tousled waves look so pretty and natural

KayDKay: My favorite foam is the Curlsmith Strength Foam! It is the best dry refresh product for my mermaid waves! Your "settled from the pineapple" styles are fabulous! No retouching needed!

adnamalb: Thanks for this! My friend just recommended these products to me, so I was happy to see your tips on the difference and how to use them. Thank you!!

Megan Rarick: I’m a mousse girl all the way! It goes against everything you all say on here, but if you scrunch your moussed hair when it’s 3/4 of the way dry it won’t be so stringy and the volume is amazing! I promise it doesn’t get frizzy!

Jody Wagner: I like them both, but I probably like the foam side best for you. I find when I use mousse it gives me more hold and usually a little more drying. And a foam for me tends to keep my hair more moisturized.

Macy Lee: I am currently using the curltalk mousse in my washday routine and I haven’t been liking how sticky it makes my hair feel as well as stringy, but I also have been putting it on damp hair and I have extremely high porosity waves. I am gonna try it on wet hair and hope that I get a better result!

Amanda Lininger: Dang, I wish I saw this before I JUST washed my hair! I had to laugh at the 5pm pineapple thing because that's also my rule . And I loved both looks on you! Gorgeous! I would have to say the foam over the mousse though.

Flavio Pons: Yes, try the refresh! I recently got a big chop, and I now have short, coarse and thick (salt and pepper) curly hair and I use a foam to refresh and it works great. As other foams is based on usual polyquaternium and polymers, plus some keratine. I also now wash&style every other day, with the short hair there is no guilt about time waste because in 10 minutes I am done! :)

Anna Barnett: I LOVE that foam for a refresh! I even use it when I “wash now, style later” which I guess is kinda like a refresh lol!

Anita Briski: I think the bigger clumps from the foam look super cute, but I like the longevity of the mousse more for my lifestyle. Typically, I wash every 3 to 4 days and do not like refreshing since it just created frizz on me. I did try the Curl Talk foam as both a wash day product and refresher, and I just wasn't impressed. It smelled so good, and my hair was really soft, but it felt weighed down and had no hold. The mousse is pretty good, but I often find myself using too much or not enough. It doesn't make nice fluffy golf balls like most other mousses do, it kind of oozes out of the can and then expands, which makes it hard to measure.

WavyHairCareBlog: I've used the foam to refresh but never as a wash day styler, I should though! Your results were nice from both! My guess would be that the mousse offers harder hold so the results would probably last longer than the foam but maybe not.

Lori Scala: Watched and commented yesterday about this comparison video. I tried just mousse today after I plopped in a t shirt for 10 mins. I had quite a hard cast (too much product?). Scrunched it out and it looks fabulous! I'll see what day 2 looks like. I've never used mousse alone. Always paired it with my Treluxe gel.

Tina Castro: I love that mousse. Even better than some high end mousses I have tried. Haven’t tried that particular foam but I prefer the mousse for my fine hair. Love that Schrute Farms t shirt!!

Megan Whitney: Love this! I have that mousse and love adding it on days I didn’t add enough gel (I’ve been trying to use just a tsp since my hair gets easily weighed down, but it’s generally not enough, but I add more and it gets weighed down ) but I think the foam would be great topped with a gel! Love how it clumped the hair, and gel would give it that extra hold

Michelle Cannon: I like both on you! For myself, I prefer the mouse look, although it looks quite different on me than it does on you. Also, those are my favorite products. Most times, I use Eco styler gel followed by Curl Talk Mousse. Also, I don't do refreshes.

bluesummerrain: Thanks for the video, super interesting! Yes to seeing the foam as a refresh - perhaps as a refresh when the washday has the foam as the hold product, and another with a different hold product on washday?

Kayla Blanton: I have both. I use the mousse wet on wash day & use the refreshing foam on days 3 & 4. I have 2 refreshers that I really like- this one & the Aussie Curl Refresher. They both add somewhat of a cast back to my hair, which I need bc without, I am a frizzy mess. I am 2c-3a. You should try it as a refresher, I think you'll like it.

Nicole Fredrickson: Love your videos! I feel we have very similar hair and I don't do well refreshing either and prefer to wash every other day and restyle. I have tried this mouse but think I used way too much and it felt super producty and I felt it just sat on and coated my hair making it very sticky feeling. I also got the foam and tried to refresh once and it was bad and just added to and built up, feeling sticky and not good at all. I also tried another refresher once from curlsmith and it did the same thing to my hair so I guess my hair just doesn't refresh well at all like yours, so I don't try to refresh anymore. Since seeing this I do want to try the mouse again but try less product and see of it is any better than my first time. I also now want to try mixing some of the mouse with the foam on a wash day just for the heck of it and see how results are

Zosia: I've come to terms with the fact that my hair does not like gel. At all. that makes it more difficult to find a good styler that is also good for hair, AND for a budget. I've been loving Cake's mousse, and have an order waiting for Umberto Giannini mousse. I will add NYM next!

Gabriela: mousse gave you a stringier look on wash day but more curl on day 2, foam gave you a more flowy wavy look on wash day but less waves on day 2

Paula Walsh: I really like both results....so far in my curl journey I've tried foam, but never mousse.

Amy P.: Your hair is beautiful! I find the mousse feels sticky. I like foams because I get a softer and longer curl look. I always wet my hair to refresh and wash every 3rd day.

Lisa Bertino: Both are nice but I like the mousse best! I'd love a refresh with BOTH! I'm still learning my way around a good refresh.

rulesoveru11: I use both. I've used the foam as a refresh. I feel like when I use the foam I do get a weird filmy kinda feeling. I'm still learning how much to use, and I think I may be using too much if the moose and gel on wash days. Also love the way you put your hair up, I do the same but reversed and it goes up as soon as I get home and sometimes before if I'm having nerve issues in my face that day.

Cindy Witty: I find that I have a great wash day using both of those products. I like combining a foam & a mousse many times ~ ☺️

Barbie7884: The Curl Talk foam has protein, the mousse doesn’t. So for me, I love the foam, how light it is and it’s easy to control BUT I can get too much protein and then I look like a frizzy mess.

N L: Foam is more plump curls which I love. I used to have to wash my hair every 3 days or so but I slowly started to stretch my non wash days and after a few months I get away with washing my hair every Sunday and it lasting all week...sometimes I can go a day or two more if I have too with help from dry shampoo. I have natural blonde fine 2c/3a hair. If I don't mess with my roots and move the oil down the hair, I can go the whole week with refreshing it every morning after taking my pineapple out and letting it settle for a bit... your hair looks great either !

Elizabeth J. Smith: I think mousse, but the foam looks pretty too! I may try mousse next. Thanks as always for your fantastic videos!

Ann4U2000: Both foam and mousse make my fine hair look stringier than any gel I use on wash day. But they do work better for me as refreshers.

Laura: Wow! Your hair looked glorious with the mousse <3

Celeste Ortins: I liked the softer look of the foam. :). As always, thank you for sharing!!

Catherine Flores: I love foam and mousse. I use them both the same way, but they each give me different results.

Sonia M. Trujillo: Love the mousse as it gives more definition and volume! I don't refresh neither, I prefer to wash my hair.

Mandy Ramirez: I actually love both of them on you. I have used both of them on myself. I actually have given up on refreshing too. Lol!! I love love love this curl line!!

NomieTee: Loved both. I feel like a steam refresh with the foam would be great.

erin: Your day 2 hair has amazing definition from the mousse. Also could you please do a video on all of the unscented hair products youve liked? I know you have the curlsmith video on that. Or maybe comment them to me? Ok thanks

piki4862: Same thing happens to me. Wind= no clumps. I also put my hair up every day. Though I hardly ever get 2nd day hair. I do like their mousse. I'll have to try the foam.

Nemisha Sharma: The foam beats the mousse for me! The mousse gave more stringer and smaller wave clumps. The foam gave you this nice fluffy, bouncy hair with thicker wave clumps. Also your hair looks more natural in the foam compared to the mousse. So Foam 1, mousse 0 for me.

Katti Miller: I like the foam better. Have you tried using dry shampoo at bedtime on day one? That’s what I do. It helps prevent oil. GVP dry shampoo is my favorite. It’s a Sally’s dupe for Drybar.

Karen Oberer: I use both products and like them both. I think on your hair I liked the mousse better.

Lori Scala: I like the mousse better. Seemed to have better hold and definition. I've never tried mousse on damp hair, just soaking wet.

KathleenKC1: I took French in high school. So I want to scream "Yes they are the same" since mousse is French for foam. But I understand for the purpose of hair care products they are different.

Mary Morgan: I love your earrings! I'm not used to seeing them on you,lol...anyway! I haven't tried out the foam yet just the mousse. Thank you for showing both ❤️

Anna Howell: Thank you for this! I almost bought that foam yesterday and then I spotted this video. Now I want the mousse!

Leslie Argil: I have used both of these products, I felt like the mousse was a little too product-y and less hold, I like the herbal essences orange mousse better! BUT! The refreshing foam It is so nice for a refresh! I will dampen my hair to just reorganize the clumps and then the foam gives enough moisture to finish the clumping, and it holds amazingly better, I usually refresh on day 3, and can get to day 4 or 5 for next wash with that foam. Definitely try it as a refresh!

Katherine Citak Phelps: Do you know why foams sometimes have surfactants in them? I’ve always thought that was so strange

Yael Edmonds: Is there protein in the Curl Talk foam? I think you should do battle of the foams with Curl Talk vs Flora&Curl, which is an amazing product!

Laura Dana: I’ve been doing a hard hold gel over foam. Foam brushed in all over the hair for the clumps, gel just lightly on the bottom 2/3rds just on the outside of the clumps for the hold.

Krystal L. Pérez Martínez: That mousse is fire!!! You hair looks soooo good in that mousse. I wanna buy it again

KrysLeigh: I like both! I’ve used the mousse but not the foam. I should try it because I do feel like I get buildup from the mousse

D Ebner: I think the mousse gave you better results. I wonder how the mousse would work on soaking wet hair?

Cheryl Young: Your curls & waves look amazing!!!

Alyssa Pollock: I would to see the foam as a refresher Have you tried using dry shampoo at night before you’ll need it? I’m actually trying a dry foam shampoo tonight

Tropigal05: I prefer the mousse for more hold and definition. What I actually do is apply both. I apply the foam when I get out of the shower, then plop. After plopping I apply the mousse then I diffuse. Perfect combo.

J.Soteldo: Hey Courtney. thank you for all of your great videos. Can you please let me know if there is a method to get my 2B hair to become a 1?

DD Tuss: I like to use foam first especially on the crown. I have to follow with gel if I want my curls to last several days. Mousses and foams are only good for one day. I have to do a complete refresh on second day. If I add a gel I can go three days without a refresh. Amarillo wind is the worst for my hair. If it is a bad wind day I totally use a ton of hairspray. I just spray then bend over and scrunch until dry.

tvmom: That foam is my favorite refresher. It gives excellent day 2 r as a efreshed hair

Brief little candle: Wind is the worst! I have started wearing a Target bag on my head to go out and do chores! It totally works. When I get in and take off the bag my hair is completely unscathed.

Melissa Andrews: More volum with the foam, but more definition with the mousse.

Jackie Marriott: Nice video ❤️... yes please show us how to refresh with the foam. I like you don't refresh .. wash every 3 max 4 days. . Haven't had any luck with any refresh tecnique

Melody Ayon: I personally loved the foam best! And I don’t refresh either. If I do I only use water. I figure I already have plenty of product in my hair, it just needs to be reactivated. At least that’s how I justify my laziness. Lol

Elizabeth Moore: I prefer the mousse. You might get more definition if you don’t apply conditioner when you wash your hair and only apply a decent amount of leave in after you wash (and don’t wash it out). I have fine, low porosity, high density hair and it has been a game changer for me!

Beri Dolan: You have to do a segment with Dippity Do Girls with Curls mousse … Polyquat-69 in a mousse…. PLUMP FAT CURLS! I used over 3?different Curlsmith leave-ins and with the Curlsmith Shine to “scrunch out the crunch….

Natalie Crochets: YES! Test the foam as a refresh!

Jordan Faith: I prefer the foam results!

Star 123: Oooo I love the chunky curl clumps from the foam. Hmm I wonder if a foam wonder have enough hold for my high porosity, frizzy hair?

Ralph Wilson: This was a great video with a lot of great info with the two products. But I was wondering do you still wash and style your sister's curly hair because video were great and she was a good model for you and are you going to uses her again

Belle Mieux: Yes test it! I like the foam look better which is cruel because I own the mousse LOL

Christy Burke: Definitely a mousse girl. More hold for me. Both were beautiful

Peach Tea: Over all I like the foam better for your hair. I think on wash day it was wayyyyy better looking. But day 2 of the mousse was better then day 2 of foam. So that's kinda confusing

Christine Marie: I put my hair up almost everyday. often all day. I am a restaurant owner and I have to secure my hair. It survives. I don't get breakage, just stretched out waves at the root.

Jennifer Dignan: It's been pretty windy where I live in MD too, my hair is always a knotty mess if I leave it down lol.

Vanessa Voris: I've yet to find a mousse or foam that I actually like...they just frustrate me

KathleenKC1: Both wash days are really good. Don't choose. Don't pick one over t over the other. You can like Vanilla ice cream and Chocolate ice cream. Don't limit yourself.

Jessica Sopolis: I'm right there with u, fellow Texan! The weather here is not conducive to curly hair!!!! I always love your videos, darlin! ❤

Lova Jaros: Yes please try the foam as a refresher
