Hi everyone, I'm hairstylist Amanda shackleton for Amanda, Shackleton, calm and today, I'm here to show you how to remove styling wax from your hair. Once you put styling wax in your hair, it can really stick to your hair and be very, very difficult to get out. So I'm going to show you a trick what I do when I've used a bunch of wax in someone's hair, and I need to get it out. I take a shampoo. It can be any shampoo. It can also be a dishwashing liquid, like something you would wash your dishes with, which is really really good for removing grease, and what you want to do is make sure that you do not wet your hair at all. You have to apply the shampoo on to dry hair. What this is going to do it's going to lift the grease off the hair, the oil off the hair and then you're going to rinse it out. If you apply it the shampoo on to hair, when it's wet, it's just like oil and water, the shampoo will not be able to penetrate the degrease, because the water will just stop. Take it off the hair. It'S really important once you've used a lot of wax in your hair that you make sure not to wet your hair. What happens? Is the water just bounces directly off of the wax on your hair and the shampoo will not be able to penetrate? So what you want to do is take a shampoo. Take a nice amount of shampoo, put it on your hair when it's dry work it through each strand and then go ahead and rinse your hair out, and you want to repeat that twice if you've got a lot of wax in your hair. So remember: if you've got a lot of wax in your hair, you want to use a shampoo on dry hair, I'm Amanda Shackleton and I've just shown you how to clean your hair after using wax. Oh
