Hi I'm T Cooper, I'm a New York City, makeup, artist, hairstylist and co-founder of beauty and grooming company Metro. Look a question. Someone recently asked was: how do I wash my hair after getting a perm washing your hair after you're? Getting a perm isn't really much different than you would wash your hair. Normally, the difference is the drawing, but I'm still going to show you how to wash your hair. So what you would do is you would take some shampoo distribute it it evenly throughout your hair, and you really want to work up in the scalp to make sure that you get all the dirt and all the oils gone because most of the dirt and oil Comes from your scalp, but you also get a good amount of soot in your hair from the day, especially if you live in New York. Like me, I don't even want to know what's in this air honey, so it gets kind of really filthy. So you want to make sure you get up in the scalp and when you get to the hair, you almost want to rub it just to make sure that you really lathering up that hair and really getting a good scrub. Then you would rinse this out repeat that one more time and then rinse that as well. So then, after you rinse the shampoo out of your hair, the second time you're ready for conditioner. So what you would do is you take a conditioner you put that in your hair and you don't have to scrub or anything you're, just slathering it on your hair, you're just coating, all your hair with conditioner just to make sure your hair gets nice and moisturized And a lot of conditioners have things in there that are good for your hair as well like this one has Keratin Complex in it, which is awesome for your hair, and then you want to make sure you get the tips really good, because that's where we get The split ends and whatnot, and then you let this sit on your hair for at least 10 to 15 minutes and then you'd wash it out of your hair. So once your hair is dry in order to keep your curls intact, you could do two things well before your hair is dry. What you could do is you could let it air dry and that way the curls will just spring up and they'd form on their own from the perm that you've gotten or you could dry your hair with a blower. But you need to make sure that you have a diffuser attachment and you would dry your hair from underneath just to let the curls and naturally do their thing. There'D be none of this pulling and tugging. You will just blow it right from underneath and then your curls will stay intact and be gorgeous and, of course, you need to put some kind of product on your hair, whether you use argan oil or whether you use some kind of serum something on your hair. Just to like make it shiny and keep it nice and moisturized, I'm a big fan of argan oil, but everybody's got their own thing. I'M t Cooper and thank you for watching bye. You
