We are back with your favorite green haired mannequin. If you all are wondering what this mannequin is or what's from its my joker tutorial, so just go on YouTube you're here ready, but after your watches, video just type in Joker, the salon guy and you'll, see this. Does your hair just lay flat? Well, I've done videos about this in the past, but I don't think I've ever mentioned or brought up this specific topic of why your hair could be just flat all the time, because it's too soft now that's not necessarily a bad thing but say: let's take agen Here, for example, it's usually for the most part pinned straight, it's very thick, but when you run your your fingers to it, it's just super soft and some, and especially if it's longer you've kind of have two things working against you. If you're looking for a hairstyle, it's got tons and tons of volume. What is soft hair? What does that really mean? It means that when you run your fingers through it like this you're, almost like you're petting, it feels just really really silky. If you brush your fingers to it like this, and it just falls right back down exactly into place, it's very soft if you run your fingers to it and try to get some volume and texture and it just lays flat and nothing really has no hole to It whatsoever it's too soft. What makes your hair too soft now. This might sound like a bit of a contradiction, but you know certain shampoos and conditioners are designed to make your hair everyone everyone's so concerned with making it feel soft and silky and smooth that's great. If your hair feels bad, but if your hair is earning in phenomenal condition, sometimes trying to use you know, smoothing shampoo, certain shampoos, it's gon na that's gon na make your hair get way down and even silkier. So you need to make sure that you're using products that help build volume right. My hemp set is great. My pure shampoo conditioner, that set is great, because not only is it conditioning your hair, but it's also. It also has ingredients that help promote thicker, hair growth and does help add volume to your hair. So what do you do, then? If your hair is too soft right, so blow-dry your hair, I would suggest using something like tidal wave as a priest. I learn not a whole lot, maybe four or five spritzes and blow-dry your hair and you and the reason is it because tidal, wave or sea salt spray Jimmy has a little bit of that, like beachy texture that almost grit in your hair. So what you're? Trying to do is you're trying to do the opposite of super soft and silky. You want to have a little bit of grit to it. I'M not saying it's gon na be super dirty or disgusting, but really that's gon na help. You know it's gon na help. Almost like second day or third day hair that is going to help keep your hair in style. It'S almost like, if you go, and most of you guys may not have experienced this. But if you have, if you're a hair stylist, you know or you're watching this and you're a female and you went, you know you went to prom or whatever it is or wedding whatever and the hairstylist says don't wash your hair the day of because it makes It too soft the hair is just gon na flop down. There'S, no, you know it needs some sort of you know something. That'S lived in maybe a day or two more. That'S when the style is gon na hold best. That'S when it's more, you know you can maneuver the style and you can maneuver the hair a lot easier than one. That'S just gon na flop down. Alright, so think think that you're, even though you're cleaning your hair and your hair is freshly wash and everything using like a using tidal wave or another product I'll share in a minute using something like that you're trying to you're trying to get it to be. Like second day hair, so that's gon na help. The second option is when you fully blow-dry, it use something like my product talc, which is the powder same thing. It'S designed to add a little bit of grit to your hair, a little a lot of texture. A lot of volume, but it's binding the hair together instead of making it super soft and silky, which you could put all the product in the world if you want. But if it's counteracting what you're trying to do, it's just gon na flop down like this right, a dry shampoo is another great option throughout the day or even even for styling it right away. A dry shampoo helps give some texture to it helps kind of, even though it's cleaning the hair, it does make a light kind of coating on the hair, so that does help and it gives it a little more texture and pliability again. So the hair isn't just super soft and flops down, so I hope you found this video helpful. I don't think I've ever talked about this, but that could be one of the biggest reasons why your hair is just always coming out, because that's too soft so be careful with overdoing it with oils or things like that and your hair, because, if you're looking for A hairstyle they get a lot of volume. That'S not really gon na help you, especially if you're overdoing it. Let me know in the comments below if you found this video helpful, stay safe and healthy. Thank you guys so much for watching, don't forget to Like comment and subscribe and I'll see you next time for more videos with Alana. You

flynnawoo: Summary for people who wanna come back for a quick reminder: - its flat bc its soft - use a sea salt spray, talc, dry shampoo to add grit - don't overdo it with oils or "silky" shampoos

Jarell Tuhega: Salon guy with no hair: I lead people to a treasure that I cannot posses

D-10 Musical Beats: When you're single and give relationship advice

Jun Lucas: And some guy said they want straight hair, while i'm dying to get a wavy/curly hair. how ironic

NiñoRataPremiumSupreme: Hey, this makes so much sense! You mention second day hair, and it just really hit me how my hair is always looking its best one day after I've washed it haha! I personally only use shampoo (whichever happens to be inside the shower) and my hair lacks an enormous amount of volume afterwards and is definitely too soft, as you mention. It just falls flat no matter what I do, but this shed some light on how I could fight against it... Thanks!

Angel Victor: Literally my hair is so flat like I wish it had volume it looks like someone straightened it for 3 hours

reusslunar: I love how the bald guy is the one who knows a lot about hair

guy with Big White Cock: As an asian, this been a question to me for a while

lukkemela: Half asian ✅ Very thick hair ✅ Long hair ✅ Very soft hair ✅ Only have "silky" shampoo at home ✅ I'm not in a great situation I'll try to do something

LukeK: As an Asian, I started taking care of my hair recently, and I’m so glad I found this video. My hair is supper soft and straight which makes it so hard to style my hair. Thank you!

Steven Nicolous: Thank you! I've been so frustrated with this exact issue. I'm growing out my hair long for the 1st time and I was actually contemplating cutting it because it just flops down. I thought it was because my hair was to thin in the front. But now that I seen this video,I realize my hair IS very soft as you described. I'm not gonna cut it anymore. Thanks for the vid.

Vladi L.: I've actually been following some of your advise for flat hair as of late, and I'm noticing improvements! My hair is naturally thick, very straight and very very soft. And although that can be a good thing, some of my female friends envy it, having this type of hair never lent itself to the styles I like going for. Tomorrow I'm getting a trim. Mostly to "refresh" the undercut, but I may end up cutting the top part too, since right now my parted hair reaches my jawline. I noticed my hair really does look at it's best the next morning after the day I've washed it. But, again, all the volume tends to disappear a couple of hours after I've gotten out of bed. I never liked most types of hair products, it felt weir for some reason. When I had really short hair, using gels and such gave me a gross sensation. But when I began growing it out, salt spray was a big exception. I borrowed some from a friend, and styled it without giving my hair a wash on the day when I was going out, and the volume at the front held up well, so much so that I had to consciously stop myself from running my hand through he middle to readjust as I usually do. For a long time I kept trimming my hair frequently, even though I wanted longer hair. It always got weighed down the longer it got, so I never managed to get the look I wanted. But, this advise has allowed me to keep the versatile undercut curtain combo at a length where I can easily tie it up when raining. It feels cool, light, and most importantly, I can keep it for longer than just enough to snap a picture before the volume disappears.

DragonWoah: I found this video very helpful, thank you! I’m about to cut my hair much shorter than usual and my concern was that my hair would look too thin or too flat for the hairstyle I was going for. I think my hair will be fine, but I’ll try dry shampoo first before anything else. Thank you for the tips!

Maria Efimova: Thank you so much for this video! I have been struggling with my hair all my life, because my hair is extremely soft, thin, and overall there's not really much hair. But your videos have helped me to understand the basics that I should follow when choosing haircuts or styles, so thank you for that

Wee: I love how he didn't cut his cough lmao

wit: This is quite literally the best video that I’ve ever watched in regards to straight hair and how to take care of it/add more volume. Brought up some phenomenal points, and I really resonate to the choice of words you use to describe the quality of hair as well

My penis is unbelievably small, but: Jesus Christ man this is one of the reasons why I just gave up on styling my hair and grew it out. Now I just wear hats and beanies or just put them in a bun. Ima try this and if it works, I owe you big time man

Distant Dreams: This made a lot of sense to me. My hair is really soft and on the longer side and it's just flat. No matter what product i use it just falls. So it was really great hearing some suggestions

Sam: THANK YOU this is exactly what I needed! I never knew why my hair would do that and almost gave up trying to style it

YPhoenix: This exactly the knowledge I've been looking for. I'm a dude with really soft straight hair that refuses to stick to any style. Long story short, my parents demand I get a haircut before I'm able to actually grow it out so I can style it. Thanks for the tips!

shenghai zhao: Appreciate it. As an asian guy I thought having soft hair was super good and shows im taking care and it healthy but getting some volume or a style was always really hard. I always prefered my hair 2 or 3 days of not washing and now I see why.

Louis Hung: Asian guys that hate their hair where you at

Samuel Stokes: Im so glad I came across this video. I've been CURSED with unbelievably straight hair to the point where I'm regularly asked if I straighten it. I'll be trying out all these tips. Salvation!

Kellie Bartle: This is true :) I found a good, cheap and easy hair routine for my fine silky hair. I don’t like to blow dry so I got a really fluffy microfiber hair towel (it’s like a turby twist), and I use love and beauty shampoo. The rose kind is my fave :) I wash it every other day (sometimes every 3 days) and also don’t always use conditioner! I’m still experimenting to find the perfect conditioner that pretty much doesn’t condition my hair at all lol. But what I’ve been doing lately has given my hair so much bounce and volume. I love it :) it’s also stopped my itchy scalp. I think my hair was too oily before, so the no conditioning days and lack of sulfates has been super great

Noah Kostov: Thanks a lot, this was really helpful! I've been trying to get volume in my hair just from using a lot of product, like pomade or gel, but after a few hours, it just falls back down. Its probably been a few years since the last time i DIDN'T put product in it because of how soft and floppy it is

Mick Royster: Another thing I've seen that at least works for me is to train your part in a different way. My hair used to naturally part down the middle and I did not like how it looked cause the top of my hair would stick down and not rise but then I gave myself a side part on the left to give it a bro flow my thick hair really showed its volume

Adan Patlan: I found this video very helpful. I currently have that same haircut and length and it's fine/thin. I'm going to try those tips tomorrow . Thank you.

MaxW: For those who cant fix the straight hair that goes down thing, just perm it at the edges of the hair, it might look good

Tusty Hamburger: Bardzo mądry i pouczający film 4/10

Lonely Pizza Slice: I refuse to give up my soft hair, so i just rely on frying my hair with a hair straightener to style it..

Jack Clark: I love this guy talking about hair but he’s bald

Jewel: This is so helpful! I never knew my hair was too soft I thought it was just gravity then I cut I short and its still like this. Thank you so much for this video!!

Rose Buckner: You explained exactly what I need to do. Thank you!

dimitris christodoulopoulos: I was struggling with my super straight and soft hair since ever, I am thankful for the help

illuminartsy: As I got older I stopped doing a lot of things I used to that damaged my hair and I always wondered why my hair didn’t have much volume anymore so thank you!!

• Dig3tal Pupp3t •: You are my savior- I have been trying to make my hair look more masculine for a couple months now and it just doesn't work. Now that I know this I hope I can achieve my goal!

The bird Is the word: This is it! I have very fine hair that won't hold curl and lays so flat. I thought maybe my hair wasn't healthy so I've been using silk therapy and some anti frizz oil, one drop of each through my medium length hair and I use a boar bristle brush between washes. My bf loves how soft it is but I feel like I can never get it to cooperate enough to style it. I thought the problem was my hair being weighed down by grease between washes or something. You gave me a clue as to where I'm going wrong. You're a saint! Thank you! Thank you!

Mr. Dawson: I'm not asian but for all practical purposes my hair type is essentially the same, and i started growing out my hair a while back and recently switched to a curtains hairstyle since the side part doesnt work very well anymore, but ive been struggling to keep volume in it throughout the day. hopefully the pointers in this video help!

Beksultan Mamytaev: Damn, that's helped me a lot! Even though I knew from my barber that my hair is thick and kinda heavy, I didn't know it's soft. Also I've heard from him about sea salt, but everything else is just nice complementary to what I already knew. Thank very much for speaking on this topic. By the way, I'm asian xD

mia: This was so helpful thank you! My hair is so fine and I wondered why it was suddenly so flat, this made me realise my new shampoo was way too smoothing!

Kaz C: Oh my god, as an Asian woman with long, thick, straight and silky hair I always had trouble making my hair more voluminous on the top and sides. I tried rollers to lift my roots but it didn’t work. I might try switching my shampoo and blow drying. Thanks so much!

Lisa Eischens: You described my hair to a tee. It looks better after not washing it a few days and after I’ve sprayed half a can of hairspray in to it.I’ve been trying to cut it myself during this pandemic and I’m so sick of this lifeless hair!!!

Mujahida Jawhar: for someone with this problem, i can sure say he is spot on. he knows what he is saying and for everyone saying he’s bald and talking about hair.. u dont have to be a dinosaur to be palaeontologist

Strapping Young Ladam: This was actually great. As I've mentioned many times in the comments I've been growing my hair for about a year now and I definitely have the flatness issue. On work days I'm ok with it because just tucking it behind my ears keeps it professional but I'd been trying to get some more life into it in days I'm not working. Might also need to go to a stylist and get it layered like I believe you've mentioned in a video before.

Shannon A: So helpful! I've done layers, hair thinning, short styles, root lifting serums no matter what my rather thick straight hair just flops! I'm gonna have to give the dry shampoo or sea salt spray a try!

Alric Page: I tried this and it actually works, 2nd/3rd day of my hair after shampooing looks more volumized and in the way I want it to be. I guess the trick is don't wash your hair with shampoo everyday, run it down with cold water sometimes

Sidetrack69: Wish I'd have found thus video the day it came out! I'll be joining soon! As an aging female (47) I never know what to say to my hairdresser. Thank you Salon Guy!

Caden Burke: I have very thin, flat hair and what I found helps a lot is washing it, and while it's damp putting mousse in it and blow drying it. It works amazingly well

Xander Robertson: This actually is so helpful. Normally my hair has. alot of volume. I just started to use a diff conditioner and noticed that my hair kept laying flat, and i couldnt understand why my hair was changing. Thanks, i will go back to my old conditioner

Clippsie: This is literally my hair, normal my hair is short and my ex would always tell me how soft my hair was and I thought it was a good thing. Now I'm trying to grow it out and style it more and it's become and issue. Thank you for the help, do you have any good shampoo recommendations?

bubble butt: Thanks for this! First time I didn't wash my hair and i see volume curls, bcos that's exactly my hair rn ♥️

Sean Wooster: Ive got super soft blonde hair and this has always been an issue for me. Now I finally know its not just me.

Nveqt: I have this exact hairstyle as of now. I actually don’t mind the super straight down thing, my hair always feels soft and silky and I enjoy it.

Angelou Sunga: I'm experiencing dis! And everything he said is true. It is so so hard to style a soft and silky hair.

Fab Jon: I had really thick voluminous hair for most of my life but recently my hair has been getting too flat and losing its volume and thickness, I thought I was balding and freaking out but I learned I wasn’t taking care of my hair right and I would take hot showers and blow dry my hair too much use the wrong shampoos and washed too often (also I let my hair grow way too long) that i literally RUINED my hair, I’m trying to undo the mistakes I made in hopes it’ll go back to how it was and this video helped a lot with the information my hair is WAYYY to soft and silky.

boof stain: The man has compensated his lack of head hair by becoming a hair expert legend

changê amlas: This is exactly like my hair, my hair is really soft and I used to get so many compliments from kids when I was in third grade saying my hair was really soft, I used to wonder how did other kids comb their hair up into a more voluminous style, and I was like, what? That's impossible I always wore my hair down and it kinda looks like natural anime hair basically this video told me why my hair is like this way, so thank you.

lewcus: for someone who's bald you've helped me more than every hair stylist

starry night: Yes, that is my biggest problem, especially with the top of my scalp. My hair has some texture midshaft and ends, but the top is too soft. The volume goes to the wrong place.

nena: YOOO THANKS DUDE ! my hair has always been insanely soft and straight so it's extremely flat, but these tips will hopefully help !

Life On A Highway: i never used to use shampoo but my hair was always amazing and wavy except for the fact that often my family or friends would say it was a bit oily. so i started using shampoo often, now my hair is flat •_• and now i know why. thanks people

Nauval Arvie: I think most of the Southeast Asian hair like this one... me either :(

Gwyn Larsen: I recently cut my hair short and its very similar to the length in the video. (I am a female that has had very long hair all my life so this is very new to me) I really dislike how my hair is currently cut but im trying to let it grow out a little before I cut it to a less blunt style. I hate how straight and flat my hair is and never know how to properly style it or what products to use. THANK YOU!! This really helped :)

Freedom Woods: I've been searching for the answer to this question for a very long time. Thank you Salon Guy!

Konrad Schulz: First time someone said my hair is too soft lol. And I noticed that washing my hair in the morning really makes it super soft, I just can't move it. But washing them in the evening before, helps them retain a Form, and I noticed that sometimes I would wake up with a fully styled hairstyle, because of the position I slept in

vin: my hair doesnt last more than a day or two because of my oily scalp. ive tried everything ive heard. balancing shampoos, co-washing, waiting longer between washes, no silicon, no sulfate, no paraben, styling cream, oils, u name it. i cant get it to stop being too oily and making my hair flat the next day after wash. ive been to cosmetology school and no one helped. idk what to do anymore (my hair is barely shoulder length at its longest point and mostly straight)

Brian H: This makes so much sense my hair is very healthy and a lot of people like to touch it and tell me it's really soft but its always so difficult to style

Pikkàcho: I have the same hair as that mannequin, same lenght and very soft. I usually do a slick back hairstyle and use just a hairspray to keep them in place. Unfortunatlly the only bad side is that they get very hard but thats the only solution i ve found. Otherwise if i use gel, wax or something else they look oily and dont hold in place..

Vlad Haiducu: This man guides people to a treasure he cannot posses, and I respect him for that

Stelina: he's guiding others to a treasure which he cannot posses, true legend✌️

ALostWolf: My hair is just naturally super-soft. I could go a week without washing my hair and it still would be super soft... Volume powder sounds like something that hopefully works haha. Sea salt spray does nothing for me, my hair just absorbs it and goes back to being soft and silky lol

SlickNinja: I’m Asian and have always wondered why my hair is so flat. Although it being soft helps for very easy styling even though the style weighs down because of how thick my hair is

D F: "Like second day hair!" Yeah no thanks. Super fine, straight hair on day two looks like regular hair on week two

Robin: this was very helpful. i always feel like when i see people with the kind of hair i want it looks a lot stiffer and more textured than mine, like if i touched it there would be some grit or dryness to it

Wolves howling: FINALLY! I swear this is the only video on doft hair on the damn youtube and when you're searching for more tricks on how to style soft hair they talk about "thin hair" or worse and I am desperate because my hair is thick, but it is so slippery that I can only control it when it is shorter than 10 cm while I would really enjoy meaga long hair to do styles with...

NiBones: idk why you're in my recommended but i support it

Parasyte: Tip: i have kinda along hair and is really soft and it falls on my face the whole time so what I do is after a shower i tie mu hair to a bun and leave it throught the night, when i wake up and untie it, it stays on still and i mingle my hair and it's ok if you dont pull it down it wont fall on your face.

Yukiio: im half white half asian, one reason why my hair was so soft and flat was that i was using WAY too much shampoo.. i went from hair in my face 24/7 to actually having an ok amount of volume

Soji a simp: my hair is slightly wavy so at the ends its in every direction so when my hair is kinda flat i just trim the front and ruffle it up kinda brush it and i get my fluffy bangs when i tie up my hair or i tie up my bangs for a few mins and let my bangs down, comb my hair a bit and i get the same fluffy result i want (i have short hair)

kirito amantai: THANKS A LOT! I've been wondering why my hair is so flat, that explains it

for[*****]purposes: That's exactly the hair I want and you are describing the hair (with volume) I have. It sucks having thick and wavy hair. It doesn't come back down to place when I run my finger to it. My hair has so much volume I want it to be soft and straight.

jose ramos: THIS IS THE MOST USEFUL VIDEO I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE. thanks!!!! I never knew why after leaving the sea I liked more how my hair was and I did not know that there were products that created that sensation

clancy m.: my hair barely reaches my eyebrows and I use thickening shampoo, and then put a very specific kind of gel in it before blowdrying it with hot and then cold air. then I put in some more gel. this is the only way my hair gets any volume and then after a few hours or by the end of the day it’s flat against my head again

JustYourAverage2DSimps: Usually when I woke up in the morning my hair will be easier to deal with and have a bit of volume, but as soon as it came into contact with water it will become the softest thing ever.

LeeDoBoBeeDo: What do I do if my hair gets too frizzy or staticky when I blow dry or style my hair to add volume?

Adia Hite: now i know why my hair lays so flat. this actually helps a lot my guy. my sister has some sea salt spray ill try putting in it, ill probably buy a hair powder too.

Aikaterine Illt: My hair used to feel coarser and like fake hair, now it feels like soft dust and I’ve lost over half of it, do you know what the problem could be? (Female)

Johnathan Brake: This video helped that’s literally exactly what my hair looks like and does

AInmon: This is the single most useful video I’ve seen in a long time. I’m a guy who’s tried to grow out my hair multiple times, but it always just ends up completely straight and in my face no matter what I do. Turns out I’ve been using the exact opposite kind of shampoo and conditioner that I should be.

Black+Purple: Have you made a video about determining the thickness of hair? I'm the only one in my family who has thin hair, everyone else has think hair so I may be wrong so want to make sure if my hair is really thin or I'm just misunderstanding it

Tak G: As an Asian guy, this is the exact video I’ve been looking for! Thank you for posting this sir!

Chasing100: I’m 23 years old and have been trying to stop my hair looking like this for years. No barber I’ve ever gone to knew about this, they’d just shrug and say my hair was too fine to put it in any sort of style

Blueduck: Bro that makes so much sense, I have always had the softest hair, but I’ve never been able to hold styles for too long

squigga the nigward: my hair is extremely straight, when it’s long it’s always flat and straight, but when i wear a pony tail it stays in that “pulling back” shape, idk how to describe it, then when i cut it short it’s always standing and pointy, it frustrates me

Cornflack: I have hair like this and I've tried everything. Sea salt spray, volume shampoos/conditioners, curling spray, etc. Texture powder is literally the only thing that has worked.

Todd Smith Music: Exactly what I needed lol gonna try the sea salt spray. My hair feels thin cause it’s so soft and can’t do anything with it really

Sxy.in: Thank you so much I’m an Asian girl I just got a hair cut today but my hair was always so heavy and soft when I try to tell people that I don’t want my hair to be too soft they don’t understand what I’m trying to say since soft hair is a good thing

In Need Of Caffeine: I'm asian myself and have always wondered why my hair ain't cooperative. About 7 months back, I dyed my hair from black to platinum blonde (which took about 2 bleaching sessions and 2 dying sessions). Yes, I did damage my hair (especially since all 4 sessions were done within a 12 hour period) but I realised that my hair was definitely more cooperative. Jump to the current situation, outgrew most of it and my hair's back to being soft - not so flat since I always run my hands frantically through it after a shower. Products definitely played a huge role as well. My family just goes for the typical hair care types of products

MarcoGlo: This dude gives really great tips thanks bro

R M: Dude that literally explains everything, although I would miss my silky hair but I want more fluff.
