Minecraft Hair Salon + Barber Shop! Craftin' W/ Katherine Ep. 36

Hey guys welcome back to another episode of crafting with katherine, so i've seen in the comments lately that you guys want me to add a waterpark, and i just want to let you guys know that i've been wanting to do that for a really long time. Now. I'Ve just been kind of waiting until it gets a little bit closer to summertime, because i have like an entire vacation area planned in my mind, so we will be building that soon. But until then for today's video we're going to be adding a beauty salon and barbershop before i start building, i want to add some new artwork to the art museum. But as you can see, the top floor is totally empty and that's because the art museum is currently under construction. If you guys remember in like, i think it was the last video i talked about having lag issues in this game, so i've been trying to figure out why my game is so laggy. I thought maybe removing all the pictures would help uh it kind of didn't so i will be putting all of the art back. So don't worry about that. I'Ve just been testing to see if i could figure out why my game is so slow but yeah. I actually didn't get rid of anything downstairs, so everything is still here but, like i said i will be putting everything back. So don't worry so this week we have art from astrid serenity, chloe, haley, meowtison, rox, natalie, nina linda draws and noah. Okay. So now that we've added some new artwork, let's go work on the salon and barber shop. Okay guys. So here is the salon and barber shop. I decided to do like a blue white and gray theme. I know i've been building a lot of things white recently like these last two builds are white um and i, like my buildings being colorful, but i felt like the salon should be like kind of modern, looking kind of just like clean. I don't know that's just like what my brain thinks of when i think of a salon, so i want it to be kind of simple, but i did add a little bit of color in the front by adding some glue blocks. As you can see, we have a cute little barber pole and if we go inside, this is going to be kind of the layout. So let's walk through this real quick in the front. We'Re gon na have the little lounge and waiting slash retail area. This is going to be where the front desk, like reception area goes. This is the barber side and this is the salon side and then, if you go around this way, we're gon na have like some sinks to wash hair and like dryers back here and then along this wall. I was thinking about having like a little pedicure and manicure section, and then these back areas that are sectioned off are just bathrooms. So the first thing i want to do is i actually want to bring this wall up a little bit so that it's kind of separating the front of the building to the back of the building. I want to make this wall taller too, just to again help separate the sections off a little bit so, like i said before, this is going to be like where the dryers go, and now i'm thinking that we could actually use this side of the wall. For storage, let's go back up to the front, so we can work on the reception area. So i'm thinking we can put like a white counter right around here then, on the counter. We obviously need to have some registers. We can add some computers for people to work on and then we need some office chairs and i also want to add some bowls of candy, because i remember when i used to get my hair cut. They always had like random bowls of lollipops at the front desk. Now, i'm just going to add some potted trees and i think this front reception desk is done now for the waiting areas. I want to use these black chairs because i think they look really cool and i actually kind of want to use them throughout the entire salon. Don'T they look cool? I don't know. I just feel, like the shape of these chairs. Look very salon-esque. If that makes sense, okay, let's put some more of those potted trees around the waiting area. I just realized that, like the little blue stripe on the pots kind of matched the front blue on the building - oh okay, so we have this side. I'M gon na do just like the same exact thing to this side over here, so we'll have three four five, six seven chairs and then we'll put some plants around wait. I did that wrong. Oops there we go. We should probably add some ceiling lights just because i didn't put any um skylights above this area, so it is a little bit dark. Oh, this looks pretty cute okay, so now that this front area is totally done, let's work on the salon side. I think i want to have four stations along the wall, and i wish this was black so badly. This is actually the middle section to the vanity in the uh. What'S it called ah the deco craft mod. So this is actually part of a vanity for like a bedroom, but if you just use the middle piece, it totally looks like a salon mirror. I just really wish it was black and not brown, so it would match the space better. But it's okay. Let'S put more of those black armchairs in front of every station, so this can be where the clients sit to get their hair done now next to every mirror. I want to put an item frame and, in the item frame, we're going to add some shears, but i actually retextured this so that it looks like hair cutting scissors on the left of each mirror. I want to put one of these tall closets and i know when you open it, there's like clothes and slippers in it, but i want to pretend that these are actually just individual storage areas for each of the hair stylists that come to work, so they can Use this area as storage for like their aprons or their personal tools or items that they want to use on their clients, then, on the right side of the mirrors, i want to add a cute little magazine rack. That way, the clients have something to read so that they're, not bored. I want to add some of these trays. Does that look and it looks a little bit cluttered. Okay, wait! Let'S get rid of this one, and this one we'll just have a get break there. We go so we'll just have two trays and i want to use these. I know okay wait, so i know in my hand i'm holding paint brushes, but because this is minecraft and like there's only so much you can do um we're gon na pretend that these are actually brushes with fun hair colors on them. So maybe this person is dyeing their hair, green and purple, who knows that's fun and then over on this tray we can just add a comb and a brush. I feel like this looks pretty good. I want to put another brush and comb over here and then i have these lights um. I was thinking about putting them above the mirrors because usually in hair salons, they do have lights above the mirrors in front um. I don't know if this looks weird or not. I feel like it kind of helps like shape each little section, but i don't know. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. If you think these little lights look good or if they look bad, do i have a bru? Oh my god. I just love the perfect thing, guys: okay, wait. We can put a trash can over here with a broom next to it and then now look the people that work here can sweep up the hair and throw it in the garbage. I don't know why i just got so excited about that, but, like look, how cute that looks, it's just like. Ah, it makes sense now that this side is pretty much done. I want to go over to the other side of the building to work on the barbershop section and it's pretty much going to be the same exact thing as this side, but i have these really cool barber chairs. Look at that. So, let's start by adding four stations along this wall, then we can add the item frames. So we can put the scissors on display now, let's add the little storage cabinets for each hairstylist. There we go. We can put the light on top of the mirror and then we can add the super cool barber chairs. How cool is that wait? I want to sit in one, oh hello. Let'S add another trash can and a broom along this back wall, and then i guess we can put some more magazines on this side too. Now, i'm just going to add a tray to the two middle sections. That way, we have a place for some brushes and combs. Now, let's work on the little shampoo and dryer section. So i want to put let's see one two three four sinks. Then we can add four more of those black chairs in front of the sinks, so it kind of looks like hold on. Let'S see if we sit in this, will it look like i'm getting my hair washed kind of i want to add some shelves above the sinks, to hold shampoo and stuff like that, but i don't have any black ones. So i think if i use a furniture paneler and then i put a framed potion shelf in there with a block of black cockroach. Oh we get a black shelf. Let'S see what it looks like. Oh that looks so nice. Oh, i love it. I don't actually have any shampoo bottles, so i'm just gon na pretend that the potions are shampoo and conditioner bottles. Now we can just add some water to the sinks and i think that's it. For the shampoo area across from here, we're gon na have the dryer section, but this is gon na be a little interesting, because i don't actually have like real dryer like the things that go over your head in a salon like those types of dryers. So we're gon na get a little bit creative here, um, i'm gon na use a framed wall and a framed slab, and i think if i make this black concrete and i make this glass, it should yeah. It kind of looks like it kind of like it's. You know you just got ta squint a little bit and use your imagination, but it works wait. No, i think that actually works. It totally doesn't look that bad okay. Moving on from the wash and dry section back here, like i said before, we're gon na have like a little manicure, pedicure section, so i'm thinking for the pedicure section. I was gon na put the chairs up like this, but now i'm thinking that we can actually put the chairs here and if we break the block in front, we can put a little sink in there and now it kind of looks like the thing that you Put your feet in then on either side of the pedicure section. We can put a table for manicures and maybe we can switch things up this time by adding the white ant chairs instead of the black arm chairs, then i want to add a lamp to both of the manicure tables because they usually have like some kind of Light on the table, so they can see your nails and then i think i just want to fill up some of this empty wall space with some shelves full of nail polish. Maybe we can put some here and then we can put some more over on this side. Then we can add some more above the pedicure section. Oh yeah, that looks so nice. I'M gon na fill up these shelves with some empty potion bottles because i don't have any nail polish, but i do think that looks pretty cute then for the shelves on the sides. I'M just gon na do every other row so that i don't have like too many bottles. Oh, my god, this looks just like a little mani, pedi section, it's so cute, okay, so now that this is done, let's work on this little storage area, so i definitely want some of these drawers for storage, but we're gon na have to get rid of. Maybe these two we can put a sink in the middle, then we can add some shelves on top. We can put a brush and a comb on the counter, maybe over there - and here maybe we can even add like a little cup next to the sink. I just realized that the dies in this texture pack kind of look like just little bottles of dyes, so we can pretend these are hair colors. So because these are dyes, i can't actually put them on the shelves, because these are only for potions which kind of stinks, but we could put some item frames along this back wall and just do that. Instead, the last thing that we need to work on are the bathrooms. So let's go in here. We'Re gon na definitely need a ceiling light. Then we can just add a toilet, a sink and some toilet paper in the middle now we'll add a little black door to close it off and bathroom number one is done. Let'S do the same thing in this bathroom and then again we'll do the same thing to both of the bathrooms on this side of the salon. Alright guys. So now that the salon and barber shop is done, let's go on a little tour to see what the inside looks like. Okay. So when you first walk in, we have the front desk over here then there's also a waiting area here and here, if you went to the right, this is the whole barber section. So if you're, like a boy or a girl that wants like a cool shaved kind of hairstyle, you would come over here and if you're looking for a regular cut or color, you can come over here to the salon side in the middle of the building. We have the dryers and the shampoo section where people can come get their hair washed back. Here we have the manicure and pedicure station, which is so stinking adorable. I love this spot so much across from the mani pedi section. We have just like a storage area for the people that work at the salon and then on either side of the back wall.
