Hey crow friends, I'm beyond corny and you're, watching Bianca Renee today and today I'm gon na help. You find the best curly hair stylist for you. Now there is a difference between getting a curly haircut and a regular haircut. Unfortunately, us curly people we just can't be going to any salon all willy-nilly. You know your nearest Supercuts, because it's just not gon na turn out right because there's specific steps that need to be taken if your hair is curly now. Obviously, the best thing to do is to go to someone who specializes in curly hair, and that means you're gon na get what is more popularly known as a diva cut. Diva cut is related to diva curl and that whole brand and they kind of just branded that name of the curly hair cut. But technically there are stylist out there that know how to do a dry cut that may not be diva certified. I personally would suggest you going to someone who is diva certified because it's just just going on the safe side and they obviously know what they're doing, but you want to get a dry cut, meaning cutting your hair while it's dry. This is my natural shape. This is how I always wear my hair. Why would I go into a salon with my hair straight to get it cut like that? Just makes no sense. Do you guys see how long my actual hair is it's like all the way down to here? If they cut this, like, oh, let's just make it up, you know here that's gon na shrink up to who knows where it's just not realistic, to know how your hair cuts actually gon na look at the end of the day, how you normally wear it day Today, if you get it cut wild straight, so 100 % do not get your hair cut. While it's straight, you also don't want the stylist to brush it out. That means they're now elongating your curls longer than they usually just naturally sit, and they could once again cut off more than they need to do to shrinkage. Now I have gotten a diva cut dry cut. I have multiple different places. One of my favorite places to go is curls one on one in Beverly, Hills, California, those two stylus that I go to actually were at the diva salon that used to be in Culver City that unfortunately closed down, and then they branched off and created their own Salon so now I go to Donatella to get my curly hair cut the one you see now I need to go back in for a trim. Actually, my biggest you get a little long and I go to Ezzy for my highlights and my color. They are sisters and they are amazing. If you go to our Instagram I'll link them below, you will be blown away at the curler results that people get just from leaving out Hugo in wavy you leave curly, they are miracle workers. Another one of my favorite stylists is Felicia. She used to also be at that same diva, curl salon in Culver City also branched off created her own salon, which is a little bit further for me, but she did my first two diva cuts ever still amazing and she's located in Long Beach. California. Now, if you live in New York, you guys have the actual diva curl salons, like at your fingertips, there's two diva salons that you can go to plus there's one in New Jersey that I just found called utopia. That has amazing haircuts. If you guys saw my story recently on Instagram, I was like obsessing over there like reshaping that they do also amazing. So those are like California, New York. I mean we got it going on, that's just how it is, but if you learn anywhere in between, there is a way for you to find a diva certified stylist, and that is by going to the diva curl website on the diva curl website. You'Ll see in the browser bar that there is a stylist search. Go there, put in your zip code, you're gon na see a bunch of different salon. Options come up. There should be at least one in every state, but don't just go off the first one that pops up. You have to do your research, I'm sorry curly girls and guys. It just takes a little bit more effort for us because we don't we've worked so hard on our curls. We just don't want to risk getting a bad cut. So now I want you to go to that salons, either Yelp or even better Instagram. Look at their photos look at their work. Look at their comments, maybe even write someone that has posted a haircut and like tag them get real feedback. So you know if their salon is worth it. Instagram is the future if you're a stylist and you're not on Instagram, like you, basically don't exist, so do your research now? How much should you be spending on these diva cuts? That'S that's another tricky part. I personally think it's very unfortunate that us curly people have to spend so much like. If you have straight hair, you could go to Supercuts, it might not be the best cut ever, but it is possible to get a $ 20.00 haircut if you have straight hair. If you have curly hair our base price for a curly cut is like $ 80 more normal is like a hundred 120. I know certain stylists charge up to like two hundred two hundred fifty dollars for a haircut. I just think that's really steep and it's like. No offense to any of my stylist friends that do charge that much. I know you are amazing and you are like worth it and people are paying for it. So why not? But that's that's just a lot and it's gon na discourage a lot of people from going natural, there's, affordable and high into everything. We'Ve got normal fruit. When we got organic, we've got CBS and Walmart, and then we have Sephora and Ulta. Like I get it, you know so, there's gon na be high-end, salons and normal, but hopefully you can find a stylist. That'S not really gon na break the bank, but now, even if 80, you $ 100 sounds like a lot to you. This is an investment, but it's going to be worth it, especially if you have no idea what to do with your hair if they are a real diva certified stylist. Not only do they give you a haircut but you're gon na leave they're more knowledgeable about your curls they're gon na tell you maybe like the porosity of your hair, how healthy it is, what products you should use. What you shouldn't be doing. They'Re gon na ask you about your routine they're gon na give you tips and tricks. You'Re gon na leave there with a bunch of knowledge and an amazing haircut. Now this is the most important part of the video. I want my comment section to be almost equal. If not more Boldin, this video, because I posted something on Instagram about all these stylists - and I got a bunch of direct messages telling me stylus and you guys recommend, which is great, there's a reason why we're called a curly hair community. We are a community because we're all here to help each other and we have to stick together. So I want you to leave a comment with a hair salon that you recommend, but before you comment, I want the very first word that you say to be the state and city on where you are because people aren't gon na be able to read your entire Comment and then be like: oh it's in Ohio, like I want you to put Los Angeles, California, and then you could say whatever you want to say: Cleveland Ohio, whatever you want to say, New York, New York, whatever so put the city and state first in capital, Letters so people can just scroll through the comments and look for their city, state or country and have a nice recommendation to go to. Please tell us what you got done at the salon. Did you get a big chop? Did you get a trim? Did you get a reshape? Did you get your color done? There leave a nice detailed comment to really help someone that is really struggling as to finding a salon in their city. So now I'm giving you guys three ways to find an amazing curly, hair stylist. You could either browse the comments below one. You can go to the diva curl website and do their stylist search too or if you go to my Instagram. You also see that I have different highlighted sections in my hair. Stylist highlight. That is where I'm going to keep all the stylists that I have been to and/or recommend in different states. So if you want to find a stylist that I recommend click on this little story on my Instagram and you could see everybody that I recommend and that's just gon na stay there forever and by the way on my Instagram. The little thing next to or says shopping, that's where I keep all my promo codes and the link to my Amazon store to buy all the products. I recommend. So once again, if you don't follow me on Instagram, I don't know what you're doing, there's so much great content and more helpful tips and you could utilize if you just follow me at miss Bianca granade. So maybe you don't need to do a big chop. Maybe just always wearing your hair in the middle parts really flat or just down to the side like there's no volume, maybe you should try layers layers is definitely gon na help. You get that volume if you have very fine hair or if you want to try some bangs. It also gives you a much more full look, so I suggest this year to switch it up a little bit. Maybe do a side part maybe get layers, maybe go a little bit shorter experiment life's too short to have boring hair, and some of you do. I know I did. My hair was extremely boring until I made this channel and then I got a little inspired by you guys and just the curly hair community, and Here I am lighter layers and with bangs. I actually have always filmed every haircut that I've gotten even like the color that I've gotten, so you could check out my haircut playlist and you could see one the worst haircut I've ever gotten. If you want to know what a fake diva cut is yeah watch that video, I show you my first proper diva cut. I show you when I did a big chop and I cut off all my non damaged hair. You can watch that haircut. Video I've showed you how to cut off damaged hair on my cousin in Florida in a salon there's so many haircut videos I 100 % recommend that you watch those. So you know what you're getting into before you go to a curly hair cut. So on each you enjoyed this video found. It helpful find my comment section helpful, make sure you give me a thumbs up and subscribe. I post two videos every week once on Friday and once on Sunday so see you guys next time, thanks for watching Bianca Rene. Today,

jiminieugotnojams _: I'm honestly scared of going to hair salons

Samin Khoshniat: Unfortunately in Iran we have none of devacurl products or any access to natural products! And whenever I tell the hairstylist I want a dry cut they are like “I know what I’m doing” it’s so hard for us curly gurls in a country without any access to good curly hair products ‍♀️

Alexa Lande: I have gone into a salon where they straightened and then “trimmed” my 3c/4a curls, before I had proper knowledge of my own hair Cut about 11 inches of ends that were beautiful looking back now, and my hair shrunk up to my ears (TRAUMA AND TEARS GALORE). I’ve learned so much since then and try to help others now. The right salon is EVERYTHING.

Cindy Esperanza: Omg I needed this video! I’ve been trying to get my hair cut into a nice shape with bangs but I’m afraid someone is going to mess it up

Kathi Neumann: CHICAGO, IL - I got my first devacut done by Lynzie Wellin at Shag Salon near the Lakeview neighborhood. The salon is easy to get to and very nice. Lynzie was great, she's very sweet and really listened to me about what I wanted and my preferences. She was very helpful and did a great job with my hair. After she cut my hair, I had SO much curl definition and it was so much better for styling. Lynzie really listened to what I asked of her, I plan on returning for my next cut! Also, the prices are reasonable

Em Olshefski: Seattle, WA: Sensa Salon. I'm trying to grow my pixie undercut into a bob and James did an awesome job reshaping my hair into a cut that actually works with instead of against my waves. I was thinking the CGM didn't work for short hair (especially wavy short hair) but was pleasantly proven wrong after sticking with it and getting this cut. I went into the salon with a mess of 2A frizziness and left with smooth, defined, 2B/C waves, and this was on a rainy day in Seattle! :)

Kewi: I love all of your content! So professional yet so natural and oh so funny. I've been following some of your tips ever since I've decided to bring out my natural curls and they've worked really good so far! Its only been a week or two and I'm loving them already! Doing my research and finding you along with other curly people who have these similar remedies really helps. For that, I thank the.❤ Honestly, I didn't even know there were curl salons to get your hair cut from? Hm... duly noted.

thesoftballpitcher1: GREENSBORO NC Studio Curl with Bonnie. I got my first Devacut with just a trim and bit of reshaping (light layers). Bonnie did an amazing job!

FallnAngel07: Thank you for letting people know its illogical to get your hair cut when straightened. There are too many stylists who think that's the ONLY way to see split ends and you end up with a foot of hair gone.

Angela: Bianca, I am going crazy because I am learning so much from you that I didn't know anything about! I have been seeing my regular stylist for the last 8 years!!! And that is before I decided to start embracing my natural hair. I used to get relaxers...she used to flat iron my hair every single week! I don't get relaxers anymore, but I have allowed her to give me the Design Essentials Strengthening Therapy System (STS) because my edges get so fuzzy! And this still straightens my hair...but I can still wear my hair nicely curly too...but now I am starting to think, I am in a messed up position now because...I do love my hair curly these days, and she usually always give me dry trims but always after a flat iron. So this here is so new to me! I'm tripping out about it lol Feels like I gotta break up with my long time stylist or something! lol I don't know...but thank you for all of these amazing videos. I cant even believe there is so much that I didn't know about my own hair!

Serenity McBride: Springfield/Ozark, Missouri 3:16 Salon. I got my 2nd devacut here and I only cost $55!! She washed and styled my hair with devacurl products after the dry cut with layers (I have very fine hair). And she gave me tons of knowledge about MY head of hair.

Kristina Hunter: A sincere thank you for posting and helping out the curly hair community with this vid B.R. Bless you for your thoughtfulness. Your tips are so helpful.

2721kitcat: Thank you for making this video. I've been wanting a devacut ever since you first talked about it. Because it's so expensive that has been the only reason why I haven't gotten one yet. I've been saving my money and I will be getting one this year.

Nemya McGill-Veloso: I used to get a brushed out cut and I would always wonder why my hair was always so uneven. I actually go to ulta for my dry cuts ❤️ the huge Bianca poster is my favorite thing to look at

Lexilovesmakeup 12: I'm terrified to get my haircut. I live in a small town and stylist here want to straighten my hair before they'll cut it. I've said no to every stylist who insisted that's what must be done.

Gabi Maza: Lancaster ca : This was so helpful to me! I didn’t know they did deva curl cuts at my local ulta! Now I know. And they cost 120$ to start ... gotta starts saving up! By the summer I’ll have my first deva cut #summer19

Oxox_brielle: Arlington / Mansfield Texas : olive the beauty lounge almost every stylist is deva certified. This is my favorite salon I’ve been to them before for normal cuts & color , very affordable & great quality. I will be making the hr drive from my place in Fort Worth to go see my stylist & get a devacut from them . They have a ig page for salon & highlights that give you each stylists ig page so you can see each persons specific work!

Drisana B: YOU HAVE READ MY MIND! This is my struggle in my area...finding someone who can cut curly hair. One time I went in to cut my hair and I left dissatisfied, frizzy and all

Amada Pittaluga: New York. When it is time to get a hair cut I make a trip out of it. I went to a VIP hair salon specialized in curls named Miss Rizos, located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It cost me less than $20 dollars! I totally recommend this salon

Genevieth Vargas: New York City, NY - Curlson5th with Joseph & Devacurl with Melanie. In both I got a reshape, layers for volume & trim to get rid of dead ends. Both worth it. Both $125, both did an AMAZING job, both taught me so much of my hair & both knew how to work with my hair. $125 is a lot of money, wish it was not that expensive to get a curly cut

Nicholas Rivera: With the scandal surrounding DevaCurl, would you still recommend going to the DevaChen salons? I’m in Harlem, NYC and haven’t been to a professional salon in over a year.

Sage: As a curly girl and a (soon to be) hairstylist, I want to further my education after school and become certified!

Stephanie Hilaire: I live in Raleigh North Carolina and I went to Alter Ego hair salon! Appointments go quick but she did my second big chop ever and I was satisfied. Not too big on the education piece, but now that I know more questions to ask I know she’ll be super responsive

Deutsche Mama: I‘m so tired of having to go through a mandatory consultation at salons. I already know how to take care of my curls and what products to use. All I want is a haircut!!!!

Margot Cronk: Memphis, TN. Great lengths hair salon. They are deva certified, so it’s expensive, but I love what they do. I have type 2a, 2b, and 2c on my head. I’ve gotten trims, I’ve gotten dramatic cuts, I’ve gotten highlights, they can do it all. Getting deva cuts on my wavy hair has given me more texture than I thought possible. Highly recommend

spacesaurus: I have a family friend who cuts my hair and she never wets it. I was surprised to find out that regular hair salons like Fanatic Sam's are supposed to cut your hair under a certain time limit.

ScribbledCrayon: Dallas, TX - Angela Hicks from Salons at Hi Line in downtown. I knew I was going to a great place when, after looking her up on three different websites, I only found one 4 star review - everything else is 5 stars! She’s super sweet, is CONSTANTLY investing in educating herself on everything curly, and I swear I need to go into my appointment with a notebook to be able to take in everything she teaches me! She does book about 3ish months in advance, but she’s every bit worth the wait!!!

Brittany Steele: Kitchener, Ontario, Canada Curve hair studio has many deva certified stylists, but Erin is their only level 3 stylist and she is amazing!!! Got a reshape and it was so good. Cut for women is anywhere from $60-80 CAD. She is also able to do pintura highlights, which I have not had done but you can check out their instagram. Totally WORTH THE DRIVE if you do not like in the kitchener/waterloo area!!! Goodluck to all canadian curlies it's tough finding good places❤

Tiffany Romero: NEW JERSEY- I went to Utopia!!! It was pricey, but it is so worth it! I had a great experience! From the moment you walk in they ask you your lifestyle, how you wear your hair the most , your routine and so much more so they can accommodate a style just for you. They also explain each product and each step they do as they're cutting & styling, and giving you a mini lesson it's just GREAT! I HIGHLY recommend! Book with time!

Hennessy Mediavilla: I think it's so crazy that you brought up the utopia salon because I literally live right by Westfield. I thought of going there last year and I literally kept telling myself I was going to do it but I completely chickened out. And honestly the price of the curly cut does not motivate me any more . I have never gotten a curly hair cut professionally done, I've been cutting my own hair for a year and a half. And if I'm fine with how my hair looks when I cut it in layers, why should I spend all the money that I DON'T have to get it cut professionally? It just depends on if you can afford it or not.

Yaischa Dukes: ORLANDO, FLORIDA. Dolce Vida Salon, the Winter Park location. See Sioban. This girl brought life to my hair. I've done layers, reshaping, and just recently a big chop for the heck of it. She's patient, she listens, and my hair is always banging when I leave.

SoniaBSanchez: Alameda, CA (SF Bay Area), I go to Twist Salon in Alameda and get my deva hair cut by Tami (who is the master stylist there). She is incredible, pricey ($150) but worth it IMO! She also is certified pintura (haven’t tried yet). She is so sweet and she always ask what are your wants/needs.

Bryan Green: Looking at diva curl website and I’m so shocked as to how many salons are near me! I thought I lived in a primarily white area of Colorado so this makes me so happy!!! (Yes I know white people have curly hair too, but people in my area wear their hair straight usually)

Coleen: I'm trying my best to research as many salons as possible for here in the Philippines. Unfortunately, curly hair is never embraced here. Every stylist will tell you it's better to remove volume or have your hair chemically straightened the whole time they cut your hair. Nobody likes curly hair here, and it sucks. It's impossible to find a pic of naturally curly hair on any Filipino hair stylist's instagram. I dare anyone to try to find one. They're like unicorns. Magical, beautiful, and non-existent. :(

Catty Garay: HUNTINGTON, NY (LONGISLAND) curl evolution in BABYLON. I went for my second cut with Amanda and told her how I was debating on whether or not I should get bangs and she convinced me to just go for it cuz, her words, "after all it's hair so it'll grow back". I've had bangs for a month now and am still absolutely in love with my new style

PoorHappyGirl: I had the second worst salon experience from a DevaCut specialist. I traveled 30 miles to see one who claimed to work with natural hair, but it was awful.

Brooklynn: SAN DIEGO, CA. I got my big chop at The Daze Studio a month ago and I love it. The stylist is Daisy and she gave me so many tips! I had to wait a month to get an appointment because she books so fast but It was worth the wait. Her Instagram is @curlyhairdaze and her before/afters are what convinced me.

Reema Amr: Cairo, Egypt; I recommend S.Hair Studio, My appointment is next week but all the people I've spoken to who went there tell me that the owner is amazing! Added bonus: they're way cheaper than the mainstream hair salons

CurlyTuTimez: I feel like in order to be deva certified they should require waaayyyy more training. I have never had a stylist in my area tell me my porosity. I have ALWAYS had to tell them as well as what Deva Curl products NOT to use in my hair. I do have someone who cuts well, but she can't style my low porosity hair to save her life or mine. I decided I would travel to Jersey the next time I want to get a cut. 5 times of not being fully satisfied between 2 deva certified stylists...no thank you .

terri davis-fatcheric: I have a question for the group and hopefully Ms. Biannca Renee can chime in. I had my first Deva Cut in 2018, and a trim recently. My stylist is a level one. The thing is, she is having me style my own hair. I think this is very unprofessional, but she tells me that I do such a great job, she wants to learn from me. I would appreciate your thoughts, on how to address this or should I look for someone else. This is the only Deva Salon in my area. don't want to her hurt feelings. Thanks.

Kathryn Zamarron: $80 for a haircut?!?!?! That is wild. Some of us are out here counting pennies. Do you know how much food I can buy for $80-100?? And then people with lower income are judged for "not caring" about how they look.

PinesAwait: Renee, I have a question. I work as a large animal vet tech, but I'm also trying to grow my hair out and embrace my wavy hair. I have very low porosity hair, and I'm a 2c. Because of my job I'm often out in the field, like literal fields and barns. So oftentimes I have to wash my hair every day. I try my best to keep it moisturized but its a daily struggle. I can't NOT wash my hair, because my job forces me to get dirty. (I can't yet put it up in a ponytail/bun because it's short, but the minute I can I will) I currently use the maui moisture line, along with a weekly deep condition + leave in conditioner. Do you have any recommendations? (I also try to stay away from very sweet smelling products, as they tend to startle my patients.)

Leomari Tapia: I’ve been wanting to do a big chop for a few now and I’m willing to do it but the only problem is my mom she chooses long hair over healthy hair & IK if I do it she’s going to freak out so I need some advice on what I should do!!

Josie Carpenter-Lewis: Thank you! I’ve been struggling to find a place but this video really helped me find more options I didn’t know I had!

Clarice McQuiller: I'm going for my first curly cut on Friday! Not just first curly cut but I haven't been to a salon in YEARS!!

Delia Isaac: Knoxville TN. I went to Pure Lux and saw Tammy there. I got a big chop/shaping. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the way she treated my curls. It was about $65 and she did my consultation and cut the same day. There's another salon called Tease. Their price was about $90 and they made you do the consultation and cut on different days so I didn't go there because of that.

Shanice smith: Marietta, GA- Southern curl. Ask for Robin! She is amazing. Gave me my first deva cut/ Big chop. She really knows what she is doing and listens to what you say. She is awesome you won't be disappointed. She is a specialist so she is a bit more pricy but like Bianca said, its an investment and its so worth it!!!!

Ryan Glitta: *sobs* I live in Iraq, I have curly hair which is still considered “ugly” if you go for a haircut for your natural hair they will relax it or force a relaxer on you I wish I can get a dry cut but Im pretty sure they will flat iron my hair before cutting it I have to cut my own hair and Im still struggling with the back it always looks boxy/pyramid shape in the back Im trying to grow it longer before I can reshape it because it will be easier that way since my hair is collarbone length

BlackRoze29: I'm trying to save up to be able to afford and treat myself to a Deva Cut. I've always just gotten layers (a lot of them) at a normal salon. It "works", but it always grows out weird.

Rebecca Carranza: Sioux City, IA. I dont have a devacut certified stylist anywhere near me. I will have to drive over 4 hrs to do it. But i have found a stylist who actually pay attention to me and has done her research. Ive been going to her for 11 years. She is actually the reason I transitioned to my natural hair. She made me feel so good and has been my number 1 **she has actually helped me with products since i have a huge allergy to coconut. She actually is brutally honest. So when i try to do styles she will definitely tell me how it would look and i love it. I follow her anywhere.

Shaneile Fearon: New York, NY - Moknowshair does excellent cuts and styles on natural hair. She does not cut our curls one by one to achieve a shape because that often leads to uneven hair if we want to straighten our natural hair. I notice that this is what a lot of devacurl stylists do - cut our curls individually. Moknowshair cuts hair in a way that gives us great shape when in its natural state, but still uniform when it's straightened. I trust no one else with my hair.

Monica Adrianna: NJ - I just got my 2019 big chop done at Utopia Salon here in Jersey! I feel so lucky living within 15 min of it- I just found out how well known it is and I've loved both of the cuts I've gotten with them. My first cut was a regular Deva Cut and my big chop was a Rezocut. I actually like the Rezocut better- and it was cheaper xo

Ciara Rivera: Getting my first deva cut Friday afternoon in NYC!!!! If you live in the Massachusetts area there is a curly hair specialist in Spencer, MA. The salon is called Sheena's Salon & Spa!!!! They charge $50 and up depending on your hair and the length I think!!! I was told they’re good.

Simone Nicole: I live in Cleveland OH, but unfortunately the best place I've found to get my hair cut is in Columbus OH at Evan Joseph Salon. I got a reshape and highlights. They are on the expensive side, and they are booked like 5 months out, but they are really good! I have my next cut in a couple weeks, and it was scheduled back in August soooo

Julie Bruce: Thank you for telling everyone to comment!! Devacurl does not always keep the website updated Already found a comment from my city! You have so much great advice.

Christina Colongne: ATHENS, ALABAMA: The SK Salon, Sandee is my go to certified DEVA curl stylist. I have gone to her since my day one 1st Deva curl cut. She will only do what you feel comfortable with for your hair and truly cares about your hair health. I have had re-shaping/ a big chop with re-shaping, color, and I KNOW if I go here I will leave happy and confident with how my hair will turn out every single time. If she isn’t available for an appointment, she has another stylist who is also certified and can also do amazing things. You will leave here more knowledgeable about what your hair needs, and you can tell her what you’re experiencing to get solid advice of what to do to fix it. They are usually booked, which is a good sign also. I always schedule my next appointment before leaving my current appointment 6-8 weeks ahead of time. I promise you won’t be disappointed ❤️

la creatura: Reno, NV - Midtown Curls is AMAZING! I see Anna Palotai and she’s literally the sweetest stylist I’ve ever met. The salon features deva curl products, innersense, and I think some others. They also offer snacks and tea and coffee and aromatherapy I mean

Lanonda Bibbs: Thank you sooo much! This is one of the best vlogs ever of all! Prayerfully I’ll find a salon.

Sarah Kirsten Rose: Greensboro, NC - My stylist only charges $45 Rachel Steele at Steele Salon ❤️ I get my trims here. Also highly recommend Bonnie Romero at Studio Curl (a little pricier like $75+) she reshaped my hair to give me volume and shape. And recommend Dawn Rock at Tangles. She did my big chop and gave me the most advice and help at the beginning of my journey! Roughly $50

Shantaia Halls: Thank you soooo much for doing this video, the struggle is real.

Denise Conner: So happy I found two choices for me yayyy!! Right on time Curl Princess!!

Amée Kop: The Netherlands - Noord Brabant Pure Lou - Tilburg. A salon that uses only oganic products wich are CG friendly. The owner gives great advice and is a curly girl herself.

Janet Kafadar: Not all of us live in the US. Deva Curl need to get some stylists in Australia

angela winter: Las Vegas NV....dashell (just like in the video) is amazing!!!! I just started the c.g.method and she gave me all the knowledge I needed not to mention the best cut I've had in many many years✂

naturallyniyia: I live in S.C. & the closest salon that has really great reviews is in Atlanta. I’ve been to Curl Envy Salon and @hairbyjames gave me my first Deva cut in 2017. This past summer I visited Capella Salon in Studio City and had my 2nd Deva cut and it was amazing. Sad there are no great salons near me that are Deva certified with great reviews.

Fightergirl357: God Blessed me with an awesome Bianca video to wake up to watch in the morning!!

Ashleigh :): MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA! Curl power salon has saved my hair. I got my first big chop there and they are so incredible and really knowledgeable about curly hair! That is the ONLY place I go to get a deva cut! :)

Miss Sayeda: I've been to a hair salon only 3 times in my life. As a child I used to get my hair cut from a gents barber and he'd always complain about my hair density. I used to get a boy cut from him till the age of 5 then my dad would cut my hair and it would always end up looking like a birds nest. Then I stopped cutting my hair it grew pretty long. I next got my big chop at 13 years of age and again my dad did it. Then for 3 years I didn't touch it. But for my farewell at school I went to salon to get my hair straightend. This was when I was living in Saudi Arabia. The stylist washed my hair straightend it using a flat iron and leveled it. As far as I remember she tried to be as gentle as she could with my Hair while detangling it and she looked really apologetic when my hair would get pulled. I didn't feel bad because I knew she was being as patient as she could. And I was used to seeing my mom play tug of war with my hair each day. I knew it could get frustrating. Then I moved to India and for the cultural festival at my college my friends asked me to get my hair straightend again. I obliged. I went to a hair salon that was in the premises of my college. This is where I realised what injustice I was doing with my hair. The hair stylist was an absolute butcher. She pulled my hair in ways no one ever had. I was controlling my tears of pain. She had no respect for my hair and it was evident on her face. She somehow did manage to get her job done and I lost lots of hair that day. I swore to never get my hair staightend ever again. Fast forward to my cousin sisters marriage. All the bride's maids were going to the salon to get hair styled. The brides sister went for hair straightening and asked me to do the same but was not going to break my promise to self so I said no. But I said I'd get a hair spa done just to give her company as she got her hair straightend. The same scenario played again. But this stylist tried to not show her frustration but she did pull a little too hard and kept shaking out her hands and messaging them as though she was doing a vigorous workout all through the detangling process. End result. My hair wasn't any different from before the spa treatment but after a day there was lots of product build up in my hair. I wanted to cry. Since then I've been avoiding hair salons like the plague.

Christian Bowles: LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA. CAPELLI AND TRUCCO WITH PHILESHA ALISE. I saw your videos for Deva Cut last year. I chose Philesha and let me tell you I Love her! I just got my 3rd cut and highlights with her and decided to try bangs with a major lift. She lifted my curls to Jesus! I love my hair! I was so excited when I saw my shape I squealed “ I have instagram hair!” Thank you for your channel. I always enjoy your videos. Ride or die curl friend.

April B.: Suffolk County, Long Island, NY. I had color and wet haircut at Mai Salon in Smithtown, NY. I don’t like the unevenness of the Devacurl dry cut. I also had a wet haircut at Tru Salon in St. James, NY with Gloria. She’s awesome .

Day: New York, NY - I went to the DevaChan Salon on Broome St. I got my hair done by Mia (IG: mia_devacurl) and Analis (IG: analis_devacurl). Mia did my curly cut, she did a trim because I wanted to keep my length and shaped my hair. Analis did my pintura highlights. They were both amazing and super sweet! I'm the type of person who is very leery about any person cutting my hair, but I would definitely go back to them. They are deva certified so their prices are on the higher side but like Bianca said it is an investment. The cut price range was about $150 and the highlights were about $225. Single process color is about $105 (I didn't go for that). They do have cheaper options at the DevaChan Salon (just check their website) so don't let those prices scare you lol. I just wanted to go all out for my birthday haha.

Daniel Johnson: Thanks for this video I really needed this. I’ve had some bad curly hair cut. #Snapfam , #IGFam

Selenah Njoloma: Northern VA - I was turned away from Frizzles which I found on the Deva search. Many salons do not cut type 4 hair.

Samantha Christine: Las Vegas NV- DaShell is uuuh-mazing! She did my first curly cut and is doing my big chop next month!!! she’s super knowledgeable and helpful

Alanna F: Do you also recommend the Ulta Salon for a curly haircut? I asked them if they cut curly hair and they said they usually cut it wet

Cupcake: Listen, I live in the Buffalo NY and used Deva Curl's Salon finder to no avail. There's plenty of places to buy products and there are at least 3 Deva Curl certified salons in the area but, they're not for people like me. Both their reviews and services are mostly for/from women with straight hair and few with wavy hair. I have type 3 hair and the only salons that'll touch my hair want to straighten it or braid it. Does anyone know of curl-friendly salons in Buffalo? Please?

dbfire39: I live in Upstate SC, have been to numerous stylists that say they know how to cut curly hair, all lies. I might as well have put my head under a lawnmower, that's how bad the cuts were. It's sad that there are so so many bad hairstylists there are out there, especially when they tell you the know how to cut curly hair & really have no clue of what they're doing.

The Wedding Dress Project: Naples, Florida (Southwest Corner of the state). The best Curly Hair Stylist in the country is Melanie Nickels at the Raw Hair Organic Salon. She created the Raw Curls organic product line, and created the Raw Curls Cutting System, which is the only curly hair system that uses Dry cutting, Wet cutting, Curl-by-Curl cutting, and Combination cutting techniques. Not every client needs DRY cutting. Not every client needs WET cutting. Not every client needs Curl by Curl cutting. Some clients need a combination of different techniques. Melanie's system is the ONLY one that fits the technique to the client, not the client to the technique. She's the most comprehensively trained Curl Stylist in the country...and is an ABCH Board Certified Master Colorist, the first one to bring non-ammonia non-toxic hair color brands into the curl industry.

DeSoAnna: ARIZONA (Surrounding Cities) Curls Gone Wild- Gilbert (Melanie) $90 Lara Slater Salons-Scottsdale (Lara) $80 Urban Bloom- Gilbert (Priscilla) $90

Ivie E. Jönsson: One of my biggest hair goals is getting a Deva cut. But being a student, my budget doesn't allow it, plus there aren't any in my country

Brady.is.the.name: Columbus, Ohio! Evan Joseph Salon! Cheyenne and Evan are amazing! So are the others but I’ve only gone to those two. They strictly work on curly hair. I’ve gotten cuts and color and all turned out amazing! He is usually booked 6 months out.

Andrea Guerrero: Chicago, IL (Logan Square) - Penny Lane Studios. I worked with Jon as my stylist, but I would really trust anyone there. I highly recommend visiting this salon if you’re in the area. I’ve been there for two Devacuts and Pintura highlights. The results were amazing both times!

Zyaria.Atalya: I dont go to a salon anymore.. Well just consider that a lot of deva cuts include washing, styling, AND cutting. In a regular salon you'd have to pay extra for a hair cut if you just came in for box braids.

Regina Euzebio: Harlingen, Texas Honest question out for the public. I live in an area that is not only curly girl friendly, but also not luxury product friendly (closest frozen yogurt place is half an hour away, closest mall is just as far) so for my question is the deva cut worth driving an hour? Closest salon is fifty miles away, and next closest is in San Antonio (250 miles away)

Ashley Bond Beauty: This is exactly what I need

Amy Bernick: 2-parter: 1) Omaha, NE: Go see Callie Greene at Mod Studio Salon (on Center St). She cut my hair for years and was good at trims, shaping, and coloring. 2) Denver, CO area: any affordable recommendations? Every place I've looked at online seems so expensive (well over $100 just for a cut...color on top of that would bring me close to $200 and that's just not feasible). Any places in Aurora or Castle Rock?

Alexis: COLUMBUS OHIO AREA- The Charles Penzone salons are amazing :) They have multiple locations in Gahanna/New Albany, Dublin, and now the Short North. I got a Curly Cut for $70 with tip. ($60 without)

xochilt p: SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA I definitely reccomend going to Anisa Todd at Revive Salon, she is deva certified and a total sweetheart. AND they have the most affordable pricing for curly cuts about 70 for short hair, 80 for shoulder length, and 90 for long hair. I've gone to her twice for a trim and she always leaves me feeling great!

Whittney Crow: This was so helpful.. thank you!!

Fightergirl357: God Blessed me with an awesome Bianca video to wake up to watch in the morning!!

Oxox_brielle: Fort Worth Texas : Katours salon Mindy my first devacut she gives great information & takes time to make sure you understand how to style at home too

Nicole Jorge: NYC - I got my first ever big chop with Taylor ( taylor_devacurl ) is her ig. It was $115 with taxes included but honestly it was so worth it. I’ve been going to my Dominican lady for years and she never wanted to cut my hair so short and once I did I have never looked back. She gave me a cut that I was comfortable with and that once it started to grow out would look nice. And seriously my hair has been growing like weeds it’s so crazy. It’s an investment but it’s so worth it. I hear Jessica ( fitzed_devacurl ) is also amazing.

mommiwoman: CLINTONVILLE (COLUMBUS) OHIO. Heather Hall at Salon Lofts is amazing!! She is called "The Curl Whisperer", and for good reason! She educated me so much during my first appointment with her, and she carries lots of products for curlies as well.

Faithful One: Marietta, GA. Thank you for this video. It's time for these luscious curls to get some attention. Me and my girls will be traveling to Atlanta from Charleston, SC to get a real deal treatment.

Jacquelyn Bragg: This is such a great resource!! Thank you!! ♡♡

Sofia Duran: Are level 1 deva hair stylists good at deva cuts? I want to get a deva cut and it'll be my first but I'm afraid that the person in my area doesn't have the experience. Is level 1 good or should I just wait?

keymeko95: The struggle is real for an rural idahoan. No one near Wilder, ID. But I go to Portland, OR for haircuts and One Creativity and Design was great! I got my first big chop (for me) from them when I first decided to start going natural. I have gone back 2 more times afterwards for reshaping.

Kathy Smith: I need help! My curls can be between 2b, 2c or, 3a depending on the day and I’ve really gotten into the “curly girl method” the past 4 days? it hasn’t been that long but I ordered a bunch of products off of amazon and I can’t wait to try them out. I’m 15 and I didn’t really realize that I had curly hair until I was 14 when I figured out what a diffuser was (my mom has 3b curls and doesn’t need it so she never showed it to me) I’m so new at this pls send help I wash my hair at night and it gets ruined in the morning smh :(

Dee H: WASHINGTON, DC - Ny the Stylist (on IG as ny_hairartlife). Have to assume she’s been mentioned a few times here, TRUST - you cannot go wrong! Big chopped in December after 30+ years of relaxers & had no idea what was awaiting me... she coaxed out the sweetest little kinky coils, that I apologize to daily for mistreating them for so many years! A wonderful spirit & she knows hair; will put to rest a lot of this bogus info floating around here on YouTube. And she does FaceTime consults prior to appointments for a small fee so you can come up with a game plan I advance. I can’t help but rave about her. (I think she & Miss Bianca Renee even know each other-think I saw a pic together on IG?) Check her out.

Katrina Castro: As always, thank you for your recommendations! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Culver City, CA : Spruce & Cedar Salon Beverly Hills, CA : Curls One & One!!!!'
