Sebastian Maniscalco visits "The Talk" and opens up his upcoming film "About My Father." "[It's] basically a love story between a father and a son, it's a comedy, I co-wrote it, loosely based on my life. Robert DeNiro plays my father." Natalie Morales asks, "What is that like when DeNiro is your father?" Maniscalco says, "So, DeNiro, the actor he is, wanted to know more about my dad. So my dad flew down to Oklahoma while he was shooting a movie. And he wanted to know how he wore his hat, what he had in his wallet, all that stuff. And then when we filmed, my dad's a hair stylist, so DeNiro wanted to know how to do highlights, because there's a scene where he's doing highlights. So my father comes down to teach DeNiro how to do hair. And I'm looking at this like, I can't believe this is happening. And my father comes up to me and says, 'How much am I getting paid for this?'...It was crazy, I never thought, when I came out here in 1998 that we would be talking about my father and being played by Robert DeNiro."

What IS THAT LIKE, WHEN DE NIRO IS YOUR FATHER, SEBASTIAN YEAH, SO DE NIRO, YOU KNOW THE ACTOR HE IS. He WANTED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MY DAD, SO MY DAD FLEW DOWN TO OKLAHOMA WHILE WE WERE SHOOTING THE MOVIE AND HE WANTED TO KNOW HOW HE WORE HIS HAT, WHAT HE HAD IN HIS WALLET ALL THIS STUFF. AND THEN WHEN WE FILMED MY DAD, IS A Hairstylist SO DE NIRO WANTED TO KNOW HOW TO DO HIGHLIGHTS BECAUSE THERE'S A SCENE WHERE HE'S DOING HIGH LIGHTS., MY FATHER COMES DOWN TO TEACH DE NIRO HOW TO DO HAIR AND I'M LOOKING AT THIS GOING. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING. AND MY FATHER COMES UP TO ME AND GOES HOW MUCH AM I GETTING PAID FOR THIS [ LAUGHTER, ] SEBASTIAN, I'M LOSING CLIENTS, I NEED COMPENSATION., SO I GOT MY AGENT TRYING TO NEGOTIATE FOR MY FATHER. AND IT'S CRAZY. AMANDA. What DOES YOUR DAD THINK THAT DE NIRO IS PLAYING HIM? That'S LEGENDARY. SEBASTIAN. He DID NOT BELIEVE IT AT FIRST DE NIRO IS PLAYING YOU. HE'S LIKE ALL RIGHT, COME ON., SO THEN HE GOES ON SET AND THEY WERE TALKING.. My DAD WAS LIKE MY DAD. This GUY IS WORKING ME TO DEATH. WE'RE FIVE SIX HOURS. He KEEPS ASKING ME QUESTIONS., I'M TIRED.. I WANT TO GO HOME. BUT YEAH IT WAS CRAZY.. I NEVER THOUGHT WHEN I COME OUT HERE IN 1998 THAT WE WOULD BE TALKING ABOUT MY FATHER BEING PLAYED BY ROBERT DE NIRO. NATALIE CONGRATULATIONS. SEBASTIAN YEAH, MY DAD SALVO., MY MOTHER ROSE THEY'VE BEEN SO SUPPORTIVE OF ME. AND I THINK I MADE IT GUYS. JERRY. Yes, YOU DID. SEBASTIAN. Autism IS: I just saw SEBASTIAN in Orlando. I've been wanting to see him for a long time. I just lost my first gen Italian father, who btw is exactly like Salvatore and Sebastian. So it was the number one thing for me to do this year to see Sebastian. He did NOT disappoint! I got COVID during that weekend but I'd do it all over again to see Sebastian
