Wavy Korean Perm Tutorial | How I Style My Hair

You can definitely tell it is starting to get wintery in the city today is saturday, but i need to do something about this hair because it just has not been working for me lately. So i'm about to get a haircut might re-up the perm. So right now i am in koreatown here in new york city, so we're gon na go, find my barber and she's gon na. Do me right and i got a little special guest there. So a lot of you guys have been asking how i get my perm done so today, i'm going to kind of show you guys a little step by step, my brother's here and we've got our great hairdresser, you wan na, say hi hi all right. So, as you guys can tell i've actually been growing my hair out for a little bit now it's kind of get that wavy perm. Look. Obviously the sides have to grow out. You guys know that i'm used to some pretty short hair use that use that do what so we're trying to change up the look a little bit and get some more waves going all right. So it's got a little bit of hair cut and texturized. It just gives it a little bit more length and volume so that it's easier to perm right now. This is kind of the before and then we'll show you guys the after now the thing with getting a perm is that you definitely want to make sure that you have long enough hair, because if it's short, then you're only going to be able to get really Short and tight curls, but if you get it long and wavy you're able to get more of that k-pop style, perm, look which is kind of what i'm going for so right now, we'll check back in a little bit value all right. So she just explained that she's doing a pin, curl perm, which is basically as you can see, rather than using the plastic things which give you too much volume. This just gives you some more waves and flow now we're moving over to the top hair, which does require a little bit of volume. So we are using the plastic curls all right now we're gon na. Let the heat do its work and let these curls get a little bit more tight. All right, so justin also switched up his haircut a little bit he's going for that middle part, and it's looking clean all right. Well, this is the final product, as you guys can see, it has just a much more pronounced kind of part, there's a little bit more waves going on, and this is probably the best perm that i've been able to get over the past almost six months. I'Ve gotten two to three perms and they never turned out quite right, because my hair just wasn't long enough. So if anyone out there is trying to get a perm, definitely recommend you're gon na have to keep going it out. So you get that wave and that length that you need - and another thing is definitely make sure you go to the right stylist and have some sort of reference picture that you can show them, because there are a bunch of different ways to do your perms. We went to this spot called love barbecue right here in k-town, not gon na lie probably one of the better korean barbecue spots in the city. Don'T you think, ten times highly recommended, but right now we're gon na grab some boba and then just gon na head back to school, how's finals. We don't talk about that. All right now, we're hitting the spot called bow sugar. It'S pretty new here in k-town, but they got some good brown sugar, boba bro, it's delicious all right!
