I need something for my bald head. I need. I need to get my you know, make sure my bald head is soft. You know what i'm saying mr gun. What'S good with you, the ball here, yo, listen, baby, the ball head moroccan oil. Let me tell you something: if you were listening to the show last week, we were talking about rubbing something else up there, but but this is a new episode. We'Re gon na keep. Oh man listen my co-host tonight in the building man. I thought you knew mr ac albert connell, hey man, i'm good. Oh man, let's have a good one man, let's have a good one. Let'S have a look. That'S what we do. Yeah i mean mr gone. How was your day my day was fantastic, fantastic, a mental health day. Oh you beat me to the punch woman. I was about to actually how was your how's your mental health today? No is he yeah? He was a mental healthiness yeah. You know. I, like your. Your studio looks really good on on the youtube channel. Oh well, thank you. Listen! Next time, when you come back, you got you got. I got a seat waiting for you. I got one. Okay, i mean make sure you bring some of those um. The mannequins that you'll be working on you'll be doing some of them, those fantastic hairstyles. You know i mean. Maybe i can get my practice on yeah. Are they? What are they called? Are they called mannequins or what do they call? Well, i call them dolls because, like daughter got a bunch of them in here with these wigs on them, yeah no mine, like mine, don't have wigs like they actually have hair coming from inside of it, but i have about like 25 and they all have different Color, hair and they're all different races, some of them. I call one. I call one girl puerto rican. I got an african girl. I got a dominican girl. Do they make the men dolls, like that? Oh yeah, they do even with a beard with a beer too yeah. Oh man, listen. She got the philly dolls. We we coming with full beards man like beard is my beards. Are the new um, the new men's makeup right? So everybody rocks their mirrors? Do you get a lot of requests for edges? No? No, because that's not really my specialty, but i like i love going to like the i want to you, know, call it sort of politically correct but, like the beauty, store supply stores, but they're like you know, like owned by the asians, sometimes or whatever, and they Have everything in there and i've just seen it where they have edges wow? They have edges where you like: stick it on like stickers and how long do they last? I have no idea on youtube because i thought that was crazy. Oh man, these people make everything. Hey, listen! It'S about money! It'S about money. What are you talking about? Last night, we said i'm a businessman. Is it? Is that what it's about money? You know what i mean i'm in blocks, yeah it blocks it. I got on the lace front beard right now: hey blah, hey vlad. Do you got to peel that off at night or do you have to wash it off? I'M curious, you know what i'm saying we we would like to know. Yes, he has a lace front. A beard you know what, let's see, that's the thing too, for real you're, the hair stylist. You should tell us, i mean like look, i've never heard of that. But, like that's a genius idea, though yeah well, i guess you know what oh man um ac, ac, yo yo yo, yo aac, the cogs are turning. I think we got something for them for the men for the men with those patches. Maybe we we can. You know i mean oh, it could be lace, front beard. What'S up, excuse me: well, they have lace front. They have lace, front hair for men too. That'S a real thing: yeah yeah, oh yeah. I guess get out for the men with with the receding hairlines huh. Well, no, you make your hairline, it's really i've seen it it's very impressive. It'S lace front, it's invisible lace, it doesn't even look fake, i'm starting to see like if you guys are familiar with this and diana. If you you know now, in the barber shops, it's like i'm noticing strange stuff on the price list. Now it's like uh permanent edge, just a bunch of different stuff. I'M like you got blotches. We got you covered and customize it customize. That'S what i'm saying! Listen! The lace beard, yeah yeah, listen, nappy, beard 35-95. There you go brosky, he usually get the brazilian wax hairline. When he go come on, you know blog. He always do something strange for a little bit of change. Love me to change. Let me ask you: how long have you been a hair stylist? Well, you might not believe me when i tell you this, but it's been like 19 years 19.. I believe i believe you do. I'M gon na take the reason why i believe the styles you got is crazy nostalgia. The styles you got is crazy. Um yeah, listen. I i admit. I tried to experiment some of them on gia man. Go ahead. Yo they came out i'll, be able to help. You out a little bit better now, because i actually found a doll that has natural hair. That was like one thing that i couldn't find, but i just found one. So that's going to be like my next step, yeah doing some natural hairstyles like updos or hairstyles. That'S what's up, naturally, styles, that you do where any of them styles out of out of a book or magazine or something that you just like a artist. You know me painting your masterpiece, i'm going to say yes, some of it. I create by default, and it just looks amazing, right, yeah and then some of it sometimes like when i'm in a creative thought process, i'm thinking about different ways to put up hair and so like, usually like. Even when i go to work, i have to have a clear head and i have to be well rested because sometimes the stuff that comes at me people think it's like very simple. But it's like color correction. It'S um! It'S there's more science behind it to correct a lot of colors and do these hairstyles. But you got to have a clear mind and when i do have a clear mind, my creativity flows, very creative i've had like i've. Had people come in there like dyed their hair black and then want to go like an auburn color? Well, once you color your hair black, it's hard to like really take black off. Okay, hair dye yeah, it's really hard, but i know how to correct it and some people do other foolish stuff. You know they'll dye their hair with some dark and lovely and then want to do platinum blonde. So it's just a process and it's a process because i don't break people's hair off. You know what i'm saying yeah. It could turn us off very quickly when the pandemic first started. So i was just trying to get to that part as far. How did your your business survive, or how did you get through that? Oh, you know what i had some of the most amazing clients ever like the time that i had to be shut down when i reopened. They came back. Some of them like sent me donations. They'Re, like yeah, we want you to stay in business um, some of them paid for extra appointment, but like yeah, once i got back, my business was booming. That'S what's up that's! What'S up like hurt by it or anything yeah georgia got some lower friends. I mean just customers to different things like i've lived in georgia for a while uh droid hills ellenwood for a few years, yeah like so a lot of my people. I'Ve had for a long time, so i have people that i have had since i got here to atlanta in oh four, like oh five, but think about that. We'Re in 2022 and they've been coming to me that long wow. That is loyalty because you know what barbers for men you know i mean once you once you have that stylist that you're so comfortable with you know what i mean you you're not going anywhere else yeah, it's hard! You write about that. It'S hard to get a guy. If you find that perfect barber that gives you the cut you want give you that tight edge up, i mean it's, you usually stay with them for a long time, yeah yeah and i'm not sure if it's like this with men um in a barber shop right, But like, and i got some guy clients, but they tell you a lot about themselves. You know they open up a lot um and then you see their family grow like you see them get married like, for instance, when i first started you know i was like early twenties, so i saw people getting out of college, then getting married, then having kids Like that - and they tell you their whole life story and i'm not sure if it's like that, is it like that within barbershops yeah yeah yeah, i mean i haven't been to a barber shop in years i mean, like you know, i'm thinking, i'm bold, so yeah Yeah, but i know when i used to go, i mean like how about the beard? You don't go to the barber shop and save up the beer woman. I line my own beard out, stop playing, you know: where did you train okay? So look i trained in the middle of nowhere called columbus georgia at columbus technical college. When i went to atlanta, it was mike, vick was playing and they were playing the rams in the playoffs. You know i mean so. I went down there yeah. I went down to go to a game, never made it in the stadium um, because i, the [ __ ], that the tailgating was crazy and i mean listen. Oh yes, oh listen! Yes, it was oh man. Yes, i i was down there by my. I was down here by myself and you know so i said. Let me go to the game and you know i pulled as i'm walking through the parking lot. If somebody had like those one of them - big rvs, you know the ones that that decides to come out, and then you got the big screen. The canopies coming out, yeah with the canopies yeah. He had a big seem like a 90-inch television on the on the side of the um, the rv, and he was like you know, a buddy. You know it was a white guy, hey buddy, you know come on, you know, have a beer and i'm like all right, cool and next thing. You know man, i didn't even make making other friends and they took me to the strip club out there yeah exciting. There is a lot of hospitality here in in georgia right. There is a lot of hospitality here. It'S real yeah, everyone say you. You can't do that in philly, i mean down here, yeah florida. It'S it's the same way. We the same yeah. It'S that southern hospitality. You know something i mean that's when i go see my family in kentucky um. You know i mean doing like the derby uh it'd be strangers to walk it up to you. Just you know, trying to feed you or you know, give you uh booze beer liquor. Anything you know just sit back and just talking to you next time, you're out there all night. You know i mean we're total strangers now you're, making new friends right. Are there any specialty products that you use, or you know any trade secrets and like what? No? This person will know about this right here. Well, i'm going to tell you. I have two favorite lines that i use at the salon. I use moroccan oil and i use solaplex and they're very predictable and i just love them and they're multicultural. So you know you can use it on straight: hair, wavy, hair, natural hair. You know that's right, all of it all the textures all right. So that's what i think too. What can i use for my like? You know what like okay, so there is this product um called draco, it's a like a conditioner, okay, it's called draco, it's g-o-i-c-o and it's a heavy conditioner hold on and if you yeah, if you deep condition your your beard with that, like while you're in the Shower leave it on for like two minutes and like comb it and then, when you get off the shower, like just put some oil like a light oil, your hair is gon na feel real, soft and good. All right wait spell that again, please j o! I o and it's the mask is moisture, moisture mass, but you know ultimately what i'm trying to do here, probably like by next year. I want to create a um, a men's beard line like products, oh yeah and then expand from that. I can tell you right now, because philadelphia uh men in philadelphia - that's all we do. Is we we all rock beards. You know what i'm saying they come out the womb. What are they doing here in atlanta, too yeah? You know the bears are right here: yeah beards are in bears are yeah, i mean the bears are in. You know is that i think like with men like with men, you guys just need a little more guidance right so like if i was to be like. Okay, this is what you wash your beard with. Then you condition it like follow these steps and you're good and then i could make it for maybe different textures of the beard. You know. So that's like i'm working on that, but that's like in the future. I i can tell you for me myself, i'm lazy when it comes to conditioning my beard or trying to soften up my beard. I mean i, i listen i'll go buy some product and then i'm alright cool. That, first day, then, you know before i lay down in bed: i'm i'm rubbing it in. You know doing the nightly treatment thing. Man, two days later, that [ __ ] out the window, i'm jumping out the shower just trying to grease it up before i walk out the door you got to do the regimen. You got to do your regiments for sure i know i know i know yeah. I mean i got to stop being lazy, you know what i mean because i mean listen yeah i be riding in the car and i'm like damn. I should all tangle. You know what i mean, i'm in the car trying to untangle my [ __ ]. You know yeah yeah yeah. I got to stop. I got to stop so look if it should be like this, like for your beard like how you take care of your beard the same way like i'm sure after you take a shower lotion right, yeah, because they're not even gon na, be acting so like that. Should be like it should be. No second guessing it like boom. Put that lotion on don't put that cream on. Do your beer stuff, i'm disciplining yeah yeah, because i can look. I listen. I'M so lazy. I put lotion on my beard. [ __ ] it it's on my body, go! Oh there. It is yo, i'm telling you we got. We got ideas, we got ideas pumped we can make. We can make a beard wax for your feet and your face. There. You go, man go ahead. Yo come that's all right, though. That'S all right, though miss pagan she going to business with me. Is she going to be weak? I would say, like a butter like makeup, like a butter butter yeah like a no like a beard, skin butter yeah like oh yeah, that would that would that could work. That'S what i'm saying for the lazy man. You know i mean the lazy man who don't have time to properly condition his beard. He just want to put it on, and roll walk right out the door. You know what i'm saying yeah we can call lazy man. I mean i like yeah. I don't like that. That'S really um, don't don't play with me. Woman don't play with me woman. I mean that's a good idea, a lazy lazy man, lazy, lazy man. I don't know what crazy man body beard butter, see somebody somebody probably listening right now. Just writing all that [ __ ] down somebody listening right now: yeah, i'm not gon na really say what i'm thinking about it but, like. I think that's a very good idea because sometimes, like you think about some of the stupidest ideas, people come up with and they become multi-millionaires. Yes next, you know four o'clock. In the morning, you looking at the commercial blocks home about you losing your ass with your beard and you say with the same hand. Yes, i do. Yes, i do. It'S called the one hand, it's called the one hand lotion, because if you don't lotion your butt you're gon na get them little pimples back there dog you got ta, take it got ta, take your butt, take it your butt skin, my guy, but y'all got my Words turning back, you know, diana said something about some foot butt or something baby. I don't, however, feet yes and and and that that look that piece of skin that hang off the uh, the back of your elbows. You know what i mean hey, but you know we was athletes man. I don't think i want to put nothing on the same [ __ ] on my foot. It didn't touch my face. Well, you got ta touch your face. First, before you touch your feet, you got ta put it on your face, but you just said the lazy man so some days i might be. I might be on that that oh and i might hit the feet in the face. You know sweet that way you can get back to the head, they are, the meals are good and they are healthy. Their meals are good, they are healthy, they are oh yeah, they're gon na do better. Okay, yeah yeah, they are, they are healthy and you know cause i'm like. No, i'm not a cook, i'm lazy. You know you know me, but i could make a hell of a bowl of cereal. Oh man, i a lot of people, don't know how to make cereal, don't get it twisted a lot of people not make certain. Some people pour the milk first before they pour the cereal. That'S wrong! You don't do that. That can still work, though no no! No, because because you are mismeasuring the the the proportion of the no you just don't do it. Your measurement is completely off. You know you got too many, have too much milk, then you got like a little bit of cereal. You can know you supposed to pour the cereal first and then the milk goes because you want to get it. You want to get a saturated. You want to you know, i'm saying you know you don't want to do that. You know you know. I don't even like that much milk in my cereal, i don't exactly yeah. That'S why you got you got to have a proportion just right, especially if you eating captain crunch, because if you don't let captain crunch get a little soggy first, that it it'll tear the roof of your mouth up boy, if you don't let it get yeah. If you don't let if you don't let it get saturated just right, your whole morning can be jacked up now. How can someone maintain the overall health of their hearing scout? You know, i mean anything, you know the biggest thing the i would say. The biggest thing is like you got, ta keep your body hydrated, really you got ta drink a lot of water yeah and the reason why i say that is because, like your skin is a vital organ right, so your scalp is part of your skin um, but A lot of times people don't drink enough water. So what ends up happening is like your inner organs, the most vital ones, like your, for example, kidney, your heart all that stuff they take the water first and then your skin is the last organ. Your skin is the last organ to get the water right. So a lot of people have dry scalp because they're not hydrated wow, but you can counteract that with some deep conditioner. That joyco depends on what what texture you have. You know i'm gon na hear a nerd every time you say it sound like you're, saying draco, like you know, yeah yeah. I made that you want me to see 1847. It'S actually snowing outside with just you scratching your head, you know, are you drinking enough water? Yeah yeah yeah, i do i do i do drink water. I i drink water, you know, listen! I i love to make my eggs shine. You know i mean i'm talking bacon grease shine, oh yeah, but now. The only thing, though, is in 100 degree weather. Oh, that [ __ ] get hot, but you know i mean, but you know i love to put a shine on my head, like i hate stubble, so i shave like every day because i i hate the the stubble really and i was like yo. I want to be like onyx, i wan na show you that, and i started rocking i shaved my head and i loved it. I was like, oh my god, you know because i had like a head full of hair and i was like man what no i'm. Never growing my hair back again man, it felt so good. If i felt i felt like i was just naked, just running down the street. No balls, no pause, you know i feel free, you know. So what do you do? What do you do in the winter time like? Do you like, wear hats during the winter because it gets cold in the wintertime, like you do during the summer and spring and fall? You know i mean you know the heat escapes out of the top of your head, so you got to rock a hat. You know i mean scully's and stuff like that. You know, and i love hats, i'm a hat man. I love hats. Yeah me too. You know i was like yeah, you got ta rock a hat. Yeah got ta put a hat, i didn't even know when i pulled that baldi out. That'S that's. To impress everybody isaac he's up in the building boy. Give me my theme music. Give me my theme. Music boy isaac hayes walking in the building. How would you consult a client on adopting a new hairstyle? I'M sure you got some clients they only like one particular hairstyle. Do you try to get them to branch out and if you do how? How would you consult them? I'M going to tell you what's my favorite line, and this will make any of them just flow with me. Whenever i suggest it i said: look i'm trying to make you look your sexiest and the most youthful. I think the youthful part probably get them right. It'S the sexy part i'm like you're, not trying to have grandma here. Are you like? No, you know you got that oh 80 old woman talking about she i'm about to get them tonight. You know what they definitely feel good. They definitely feel good about their hair after they leave, but like yeah, that's my favorite line to say like yeah like i want you to look good, feel attractive, feel sexy and look your youngest. You know what i'm saying, but hair could totally make you look old or it can make you look young it. Can you got a client that got frizzy or damaged hair? What would you recommend to them frizzy or damaged yeah yeah? Well, there's so many treatments now that you can do right like um so like i use olaplex a lot because they repair the hair bonds, like you can do their treatment, also like a keratin treatment that adds strength to the hair, and it also like takes the Freeze away like a hundred percent and it reduces curl pattern by 30 um. So that's a good treatment for frizz and strength. How often would they have to do that treatment? If you do it too much, of course, like it's gon na break off your hair more, but you just do it within reason. You know like maybe every one to three weeks. You know in a good home remedy to like for hair. That'S like broken like that's breaking and you want to repair it fast and you want something that's at the house. Well, everybody has mayonnaise and oil get out of here right. So you just put mayonnaise in some oils yeah like um olive oil, some mayonnaise, they saturate your hair, leave that on for 20 minutes, shampoo, it and hydrate it afterwards. Your hair will feel stronger get out of there mayonnaise and oil yeah yeah, and you can do like a hydration mask that you can do at home um. You can also use avocado and then put like some olive oil in it and boom. You got hydration like i said some of your styles that you have online crazy. You know i'm saying crazy and you know you make it seem so effortless when you're doing it like damn fingers. No fingers are going. You know i mean now, i'm like i'll just be like at all. You know what i'm saying your fingers just because it's my favorite, my favorite era of hair. Honestly, it's like the victorian medieval times like all those braids and all that long, hair and all them. Updos, that's like my favorite, my favorite era. Let them know where you can be found your styles um. They could definitely find me on uh instagram, but they can go to my website too. It'S www.dianapagon d-i-a-n-a-p-a-g-a-n.com yeah. They can book an appointment from there. Hmm yeah yeah drop. You youtube also a lesson fellas and ladies she's also a youtuber. Yes, i got beauty p-a-g-a-n-d-e-a-u-t-y. The tick. Tocks are fun, you know, tick. Tocks are really. I don't know i enjoy them. Do you have trick shots? Yes? Yes, i do. Yes, it loads the dark gable. Yes, yes, okay, and do you do any of the dancers on the tick tock? No, i don't! No, i don't that's what people want to see. They want to see the dances. You know what you know. What one day i'm i'm you know, i'm gon na grab gia and and we're gon na we we're gon na. Do some tick, tock dances. You know what i mean, but let me tell you something about this. This little girl here, i'm telling this little girl wanted. She want to be a youtuber because i'll be i'll catch, her i'll catch her sitting. You know me at my microphone in my desk tombout, make sure you like and subscribe i'm like yo, who are you talking to i'm talking, i'm talking to my fans, little girl. Whatever i'm saying well, you know what like for her like for her she's so pretty like, and i'm not gon na lie like if they would have had that when my kid, because i had my kid at 19 right, i was a kid having a kid, but If they would have had anything remotely close to like that, i would have i'm not gon na say i would have been tempting him out yeah. I would have been having him reviewing toys talking about whatever toys barrettes. Whatever she want to talk about.
