St. Louis Hair Stylist Taking Cosmetology To A New Level

A well-known hair stylist is taking cosmetology to a new level, both here in st louis and across the country. Her work is so good that she's being named by her peers as a modern day, annie malone and madam cj walker malik wilson, sat down with the cosmetology icon to share her story. That'S a big deal, that's a huge deal. Dana - and i know you did a story a little while ago about you - know these two women and listening to that story and learning how amazing these two women were. I am the president, ceo founder of healthy hair solutions, and also the creator of whisper with products. Morris has had a passion for hair care. Since she can remember, i've been a licensed cosmetologist for many years. I started with my family at the age of 12.. My dad was a barber and i also have siblings we're also in the hair industry. So that's how i got my start. Morris'S journey has led her to creating a long list of hair products, including her whisper whip. Hydration spillway hydration is a three-in-one product. It'S a co-wash, deep conditioning treatment and a leave-in styling cream. The shampoo and conditioner is basically it's a cleansing product, but it also hydrates, but you can use it a lot of different ways. All of our products are sold across the country. We have around 60 skus of products, everything from hair care to beard, care, skin care. Lotions things like that and for every product that moore sells, she teaches those who buy it, how to apply it and use it, something you don't see too often, instead of just selling the products selling them the products. I want them to understand the stylist to understand exactly what they're purchasing, how to use it and then to be able to teach those techniques and ideas to their clients, so that the clients will actually purchase it and use it. And it creates a cycle of revenue. For them, instead of just coming and sitting getting their hair done now, they're actually retailing products which they should be doing in the first place. You know morris's success in the hair industry has turn heads from all over she's even being named the modern day, annie malone and madam cj walker, who are both down in the history books for being the first self-made female millionaires in america. The crazy thing is that when i started this journey, i didn't even think about the parallel a parallel that seems only real in a movie my husband's in banking, madam c.j walker's husband, was in banking. I believe both of their husbands helped them in their business. My husband helps me tremendously um, just looking at the whole scenario, and it was so connected. It kind of gave me goosebumps thinking about it and then, when other people started calling me that more and more it just you know, it was just an aha moment. For me, so i've learned to accept it for what it is and try to just represent it in the best way that i can in the best way she can is by taking her childhood roots of hair care and providing that love to others. I feel like hair is so much more than just being cute when you feel good. You do better when you do better you, you, actually everything just changes. You know so when you feel good about yourself and from the outside inside reflects that as well. You shine brighter, you know it's just a great thing and i'm happy to be a part of that.
