So, hey guys, welcome or welcome back to sn2. My name is essence and if you are looking to learn how to do a no, he no pin, sleek, bun or pony you've come to the right place. Let'S jump right in so i am doing this on air. Dried hair - all i have in is this cream of nature. Leave-In conditioner. I am a 3c 4a or something like that and i naturally just have a very fine, thin texture, so i'm going in with my denman brush and just detangling again i did let this air dry. I did not detangle it before. So that's why it looks like. I have no curl pattern, but trust me it's there after detangling, it basically looks like we blow dried it, but again, no heat. Now, i'm just going in with this crusty looking comb to create my part. I'Ve been rocking the side part lately, since i started doing this style recently. I haven't done the middle part, but i used to after i make this part. I decide to do a little razzle dazzle for this video, an even deeper side, part. Now i'm just going in with this brush and i'm just smoothing my part and my hair, because we are going to be braiding that up so you do want it to be a little smooth. Now i'm just going in with this hair strengthener leave-in conditioning spray by mane and tail. I don't know if it actually strengthens my hair, but it does hydrate it well. So i do like it for that and now i'm just going in with the denman brush again to distribute that spray and now moving on to smoothing i'm going in with this shine and jam. I am pretty heavy-handed with it. This one's almost gone already, i'm putting it all over, focusing mainly on the part just going in with the comb and smoothing and shaping it around my ears and then going in with the brush and doing the same exact thing. And now i'm just splitting the side that has more hair and just gelling down the edges in that part, because sometimes the product will not penetrate through to there and now i'm just smoothing that part separately. So you can actually do that first, if you like, but i mean i didn't, and this still worked out for me really well you'll see now i just keep switching back and forth between the comb, the brush and the denman brush until i get it laid down. Now, when i do this on a day-to-day basis, i do not pay this much attention to the back. The brushing that you just saw was like the extent, but i said you know what let me go extra hard for. My ladies and, of course, just switching between the denman brush and the other brush to smooth now we're just gon na smooth that into a low ponytail. If you dig your hair like this, you can definitely stop here. If you decide to keep going, you should look a little something like this right now and we got ta pause because that's literally what i typed in and that's the first picture that showed up bro anyway. So now we're going to take our ponytail and grate it just a regular three strand, braid simple, i braided this so weird. I don't know how i was braiding from the back like this. You should definitely braid from the side as long as your ponytail is strong and centered. It shouldn't move around so now just take your braid and wrap it around. You want this little braid button to be as tight and as close to your scalp as possible, and then i'm just going to use a little mini hair ties. I found that dollar general they're perfect for my bun. You can also stop at this step. If you like, but i'm gon na use this random track of hair, that i have come closer real, quick, so we're going to take a little piece of the track separate it all the way out, then you're going to take that piece and wrap it around. For the video sake we'll say under, but you can do over as well and you just keep wrapping the hair around and around until you get to the end, and it's going to be completely secure around your button. And now you just want to do the same. Exact thing, with the rest of your track towards the end, you want to start separating a little piece of the end of the track to use to cover up where the track is showing around your ponytail. I did my piece a little thin. You can definitely do it a lot thicker, as you start to twist it around you'll, feel it start to sink into the gap between your bun and where you just did your ponytail and it's going to be completely secure. I brushed it with a denman brush after this and it did not move. I have worn this to work on double shifts and it does not bother me as much as when i have bobby pins trying to stick a track to my little bun and it just it hurts and now it's time to set it and forget it with our Head scarf, it's gon na wrap this up and leave it on for a little bit. So now we're back for the grand unveiling. It'S a name slick back situation. If you don't have the scarf lines, you won't do it right now. I'M gon na use this dusty edge brush and comb just to do this little sweet part here. I don't usually do baby hair, it's just too much work for me and i have thin edges as you can see. So it's it's a lot more work than you know, it's worse sometimes, but this one came out cute so now from a ponytail to a bun. I just take it twist it around multiple times into a bun and secure it with a hair tie it easily slips back into the ponytail. If you change your mind and i'm just pulling back out my tendrils and here's me being annoying - and here is this fire pony look at it move, but it ain't going nowhere. So that's it for this tutorial on how to get a slick, sleek, ponytail or bun. No bobby pins, no braiding hair and no hairspray. I hope you learned something new. I hope this entices you to come back and learn some other stuff, because i'm a well of information. I really enjoy making this video and i can't wait to see you guys in the next one peace you
