Hey welcome to my channel if you're new, welcome back with your attorney. What'S going on, okay, we going where the money president money resides. So i have a new brush. This is trash. This is not what i thought i ordered and i got some scissors so we're about to cut this hair y'all um. I probably need to take off like like three or four or five inches, but let's just see when we get there, i'm gon na do a voiceover, because i'm not gon na be able to talk to y'all in focus and do all of this but yeah. So i had these knots in for about four days now they're starting to look a little raggedy, but it's cool. I did it to stretch my hair. It'S not gon na be a complete stretch, but it'll be stretchy enough. Just to you know, get these ends together. So without further ado, let's do it make sure you guys have checked out my other videos, so you can see what i did to fully stretch my hair. This was the last step in the stretch process, but yeah this brush was new and i must say i haven't brushed my hair in years and i thought the brush is going to be trash. It actually worked really good. It felt great on my scalp, i wouldn't say i'm going to use it on my unstretched hair or wet hair, but it works really good on my stretched hair. So i noticed that this section was a little small. My hair is super thin. I have thin strands. I have low density, so i went in and i just made that section a little bigger and i'm glad that i did because once i went to cut it just made more sense to work with the bigger section in the back, because the hair is a little Thinner so for my very first cut, i think i took off about an inch and a half almost two inches. It was a bit extreme yeah and there goes the shock. I don't know it was. It was crazy. I'Ve never done a trim at home, as you can see that with my hair super thin but yeah you see that strand is like at least two inches, maybe two and a half, and then i decided i wanted to go in and cut a little more. So after each section i cut i comb i cut and then i comb again and then i go in and clean up the ends. So i was looking - and i was like you know what okay i'm gon na cut a little bit more, because it looks like a little bit more needs to go. The back is the loosest part of my hair and actually grows the fastest. I don't know why. It grows faster than everything else, but yeah, so i went in and i cut some more it's so short. I don't remember the last time i cut off this much hair and it probably doesn't look like a lot to everybody else, but it's really a lot to somebody who is not used to cutting off inches. So that's the next section and you can see that section compared to the section that i just cut. I cut off a lot so for the back once i finished that one section i went ahead and twisted it just so it would stay out of the way. My plan was to make bigger sections because i'm not going to sit up here and walk around with all these sections in my hair for the next couple of weeks. That braid is so short well that twist is short and you can see compared to me taking out the bantu on the other side. It'S way shorter, but it's all good it'll grow back. So when i did this section, i did the same process. I parted the hair in half put that out of the way, and then i went ahead and trimmed the end. So, as i said, i'm making bigger sections so once i finished both of the sections in the back, i just went ahead and brushed my hair. All the way through thoroughly and then i went ahead and yeah - did a quick little length check to see how short it is. It is definitely shorter, but it's okay um. Now it's probably right around my mid back, which is fine. You know i said it'll grow back, but i'm glad that my ends. They look much better, they feel much better and when it came time to like brush my hair, it felt amazing at the ends and the biggest thing is now like when i do my twists. As you can see, i know that i did a good job with the cutting and the scissors were great because my ends are super blunt, meaning none of my braids or my twisted. My twists were staying because my ends are good. I definitely do not advise anyone. Do what i do go to a professional but yeah, i'm not going to anybody. I don't care, i just know it needs to be done, so i'm doing it. So when it came to the top, i separated it and it seemed like you know. If your hair is long enough - and you can see it, why not pull it up? Of course it's not going to give you the most even cut, but i wasn't going for even i was just going for healthy ends, so i brushed my hair up and at the top i noticed like yeah at least an inch inch and a half needed to Go but my hair was long enough for me to pull it to the front, so i could actually see it when i was cutting, so that's kind of what i did and it worked out. So if you have been here - and you are doing what i'm doing - i want to show y'all something right - you you just want to trim your ends, but don't be crazy, like i wasn't going to be getting and trim off like four inches playing, so you want To look for a raggedy part and the thin part so see i could trim right there, but here's the illusion. I could also trim right there or right there or i could just cut off my hair because the thing is it's all thin. So when you have thin hair like comb, it go down and if your hair is relatively healthy, it's gon na all look scraggly depending on how tight how tall you pull it. So just pull it to where you see like it gets down there. So i really only need to trim off just what's hanging, but i'ma go a little higher and probably do what is that, like two inches three inches whatever inch and a half to it's like one, two, maybe like two and a half inches, so i'm gon na Trim it right there but yeah when you have thin hair, it's kind of hard to tell, because it's all just spin. So if you have thicker hair it's easier for y'all, you want to go for the part that looks like this, but see when we thin. All of our hair looks like that so yeah that part. So i'm all done, i must say my ends are so blunt that they're not even staying. I cut off a lot of hair y'all um, so this is all the hair that i cut, which may not seem like much, but with my hair being so fine. This is a lot of freaking hair. Oh my gosh, some sections were like two inches long and well, it's all for because it'll grow and healthier. I must say these are the truth. This is the ulster or oscar i'll, put the link in my description, but yeah. These these just made life so simple. So now i have some cutting shears and that's it make sure you guys subscribe to my channel hit the blue bell for your notifications, thumbsy girl up check out the uh the store, because i have merch now, oh yeah, one more thing: this brush this brush was Pretty cool uh i will definitely not be using this on my natural hair, but since my hair was stretched, i think this worked really good and the bristles didn't have the little balls at the end, so they didn't get stuck in my hair and that's my biggest Issue with brushes like this, but it felt amazing on my scalp and it wasn't any snapping because my hair was stretched and dry, but yeah make sure you guys subscribe to the channel and drop down in the comment section below how often do y'all trim. I think i'm gon na probably do this like every three to six months, just for like the next year and then we'll figure out a schedule to stick to all right y'all until next time i can't even lie y'all. I had a little bit of buyer's remorse, as i was trying to put my hair into a ponytail because, as you can see, my hair almost didn't even reach to like pigtail status. This is different, but all for a great cause make sure you guys check the description box. I love those scissors and i'm glad that i spent the extra couple of pennies. They weren't super expensive, but they cost more than the last pair that i bought and never used. You

Je N: We have similar hair omggg everyone has super thick hair...my hair is shoulder length and very healthy but just thin strands not thinning hair.. and I always thought I was doing something wrong gaining length and not thickness... looking at your hair and its length and health I will no longer compare my hair to thick hair again... thank youu

Hey Knotty Girl: Kudos to you for trimming your own hair. I did it in April because I HAD to but ummmmm....never again lol

Tali o: Great video. How often do you wash your hair? We have similar hair types, and I can't seem to figure out a good routine.

natty lew: I normally put my hair in braids and then trim each. I think I'm going to do it every 4 mths as it makes detangling so much easier . I'll only cut about half an inch each time as I plan to do it so regularly though lol

Kimberly Howell: Finally someone with hair like mines. Hey thin hair sis☺️

Horlax: Hi k3! I took out my braids and I wanted to show you my real hair
