Gon na be like hey, besties, welcome or welcome back to my channel. If you are new here, my name is Xavi and if you're a return and subscriber. Thank you so much for clicking on this video. Once again, today, I am going to be giving you guys a updated wash day routine. As you can see. First, I am taking out my French curl box braids that I have been rocking for about two months and this wash day routine is going to be so satisfying because y'all, my scalp, it's like girl. If you don't wash me, I'm detangling as I take down these braids and I'm not losing much hair, which is you know the goal every time, especially we got to keep our edges intact. I'M very gentle. When I take down my braids, because you know I have to be gentle with my natural hair yo, this scratch, this scalp scratches everything I've been waiting on. You know you take down your braids, and the first thing you got to do is good. Get a good good scratching, so all my braids are down. It didn't, take me very long, believe it or not, and now I'm gon na go through with a wide to comb and just detangle my entire head. This is very, very important because if you don't detangle your hair before washing it there's a possibility that the shed hair May matte I've seen it I've seen it happen, I've seen it on Tick Tock. It'S never happened to me because I always detangle, but we don't want to be that girl, and here I am scratching again and now I'm in the shower. I am actually gon na be using some different products, they're all cheap products for this wash day routine, and they work really well with my natural hair because she makes products for straight hair or heat styling in particular, as you can see, I'm saturating my whole head. First and I'm using the chi tea tree, oil shampoo, this smells so good and it feels really really good on my scalp, like my scalp, feels tingly refreshed very clean. When I use this shampoo, it is definitely one of my faves and I have been using it for a while. Now the bottle is almost gone. I really really. I really like it a lot. I really like to double cleanse my hair with shampoo, so this is my second go and personally I have to wash my hair with shampoo twice just to make sure that my silk press is very flowy and not weighed down, and I do that by making sure I get all of the product build up and extra oils out next we're using the conditioner same line same brand. This stuff smells really good and also feels really good on my scalp, and it has really great slip. It allows me to finger detangle and then I go in with my wide tooth comb and I detangle again. This is all of the hair that I've lost from my detangle in the shower, because I already detangled earlier next we're doing the chi infrared thermal protective treatment. So this is like kind of a deep treatment for heat styled hair, and this also smells really good, and I think it really makes a big difference in my blowout and press process. It helps my hair, retain moisture and overall, just feel really healthy and look really healthy, so my hair is freshly washed. I have to use my microfiber towel for my hair, and this is how it's looking now I am a straight hair natural. So, yes, I have some straight hair. You want to call it heat damage, that's fine! You want to call it heat train! That'S fine, but overall my hair is generally healthy. So I'm not really concerned with it. I'M using the Iron Guard to protect my hair from becoming burnt and crispy, because that's not one thing that my hair is and also the silk infusion. These products work really well on my hair, and you know, despite the fact that I do have some quote-unquote heat damage. If that's what you prefer to call it like, I was saying earlier: my hair is generally pretty healthy, it does not break, it is not visibly damaged, it looks really healthy and I do get my hair taken care of by a professional. I would say on a couple months basis, and you know during that that um check-in. I definitely have my hair stylist assessed like the health of my hair, and not once has she ever said: girl, you're, you're, killing your hair you're frying, your hair. So I accept the little bit of quote-unquote heat damage that I have. I know that it's a part of the process of being a straighter natural, so I'm not mad at it. I am using the Conair blow dryer with the comb attachment to blow out my hair. I have been using this things for years now and it cuts down my blowout process like so much. It makes it so much quicker, so I can blow out my entire head with this blow dryer in about 10 to 15 minutes. Put my hair in four sections and then each of those sections I will split up into two sections and I blow dry using the comb attachment. It helps my blowout be pretty straight and and as silky as I can possibly get it at home foreign. Once I fully blow out all of my hair, I like to go back in with the blow dryer and just do an additional pass to get any lumps or bumps out that were created by any hair ties That I Used or hair clips and just to make Everything look really seamless all the way around, and this is how my blowout is looking. It'S got body, it's got bounce, it moves and that's very important. Next we're going in with olaplex bonding oil. A little goes a long way with this. You don't need much because you don't want to weigh your hair down, but this is also really great for heat protection. So I like to add this to my hair right before I start heat styling it or straightening it. I like to use the cone Chase method to make sure that my silk press is getting as straight as possible. This is just what's worked best for me, and I also want to say that I do more than one pass on my natural hair, because I'm a straight hair, natural and I'm not really concerned about about my curl pattern. So yeah I do two passes. Sometimes three, especially just to make sure that my ends look really good and straight foreign. So I want to talk about something. I'Ve noticed that a lot of the ladies in the natural hair community have been moving away from the natural hair community by getting relaxers, and I want to know you guys thoughts on that. I'M not gon na lie. I have considered. I have thought about getting a relaxer, maybe I shouldn't say considered, because I haven't really taken any steps towards it, but I have definitely thought about it and thought about the ease of just maintaining a silk press. If my hair was relaxed, I'm not committed to that at the moment, because I do still enjoy the flexibility of having natural hair. I predominantly wear my hair in a straight State like pressed, but you know when I'm feeling a little lazy here and there I might do a twist out - and I have done a twist out for the past like week or so, and I enjoy that option. But yeah, what do you, ladies think, about women moving away from the natural hair community and relaxing their hair? I see a lot of women are also locking their hair, which is still natural, but it is a much more convenient hairstyle. I guess on the day-to-day versus having loose natural hair, um yeah. What do you, ladies think about that, is? Thank you. I straighten my hair at 410 degrees, the first time I straighten it after a wash day routine. If I decide to go back in and put some curls in my hair, maybe throughout the week or a little bit more heat for whatever reason, I will lower the temperature to 375.. The burning point for hair is 451, so it's safe to straighten your hair at 410 degrees. However, everyone's hair is different, so some people can actually get heat damage at 400 degrees, depending on the type of hair that they have the. How fine it is. The texture of it so on and so forth, so I would always recommend to start at a lower temperature before you jump straight into 410 and yeah, just you know, figure out what works best for you, but I always get the question of what temperature am I Using my flat iron on and when I am initially pressing, my hair out, it's 4 10.. Thank you. So you can see overall that my hair is generally pretty healthy. It doesn't look damaged, it's not broken. I will say that I do need a trim, but I don't have severe split ends and now I'm just trying to style it, because I think it's getting to like that weird length where I just don't know the best way to curl it or bump it. To my liking, I'm still figuring that out, but when I go to my stylist she always gets me right. I am in the process of growing my hair out at this point. I know I've kept it cut in the short bob, but we're trying to you know have inches now, and I want my hair to be really long. So this is how it is looking and I'm pretty satisfied with it. It has body it has shine. It has bounced and yeah. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Please give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel if you haven't already later Besties things.

cuthecrap: I love your hair content ❤! I love that all the ladies are transitioning to locs or perm. Definitely a hot topic! I’m here for the girlies with long hair! I’m on my way to length as well! Your thickness is top tier.

Natalie Williamson: Wow your braids are still looking nice as if it could have lasted another month. I love your hair videos

Pretty Brown: I washed mine today too! Perfect timing

Jasmin Smith: I’m a straight hair natural and I think about getting a relaxer all the time. Only thing is, my hair is so much fuller and healthier now that I’m natural …it’s just hard trying to maintain my straight hair! My roots always revert back.

TimeTravel: A relaxer will thin out my hair so I don’t want that BUT it’s difficult trying to keep my hair straight. So.. I’m still thinking about the creamy crack
