Hey guys welcome to my channel Brandon live so today we're going to talk about the poo defect or correcting under processed hair. This is a problem that I have encountered just recently and it made me want to cut my hair. I wanted. I wanted to cut my hair a while back, but the under process problem just really made me want to do it for real, and I did cut my hair um to bra strap length. So basically, I'm just going to show you guys some pictures of my under process areas or what under processed hair um looks like. So I'm just going to let you guys see a couple Clips where I was talking and I was showing you um how my hair looked hey guys, so my hair is freshly washed and that doesn't have any um products in it and I only did a co-wash. So I washed it with conditioner, so I just wanted to kind of come and show you guys the texture of my hair. So, as you guys can see it's wavy, my hair is wavy all the way down. But when you get up in here, you start to see the under processed pieces, like you see how that is puffy, so this piece is under processed all that is under process. So these are the pieces on my neck. That was under process, and that is why I had to cut this part and then I'll show you guys a piece that is just like really thick all the way down like these pieces are super thick all the way down, and then, when you have these under Processed pieces they like to thin out at the bottom, so that is what I have to correct um and, as you guys can see, I have bunches of new growth, but my home head has texture, so it's kind of hard to tell, but this is pretty much It like that right there, so I'm looking at my computer, so that I can see the picture that I'm showing you guys on the screen. So this first picture is me just showing you guys the texture of my hair. My hair is texture all the way through, as you guys can see it just has these like waves all the way through in my hair. Now I've always had um like these puffy areas. In my hair I actually like that because it did make my hair more textured and it just made my hair. You know more thicker, so when I said that I was wanting to go tech, slacks um, I was saying that I wanted to do it on purpose. I want it to be text black saying on purpose because before I was only text likes - and I have this texture because I don't leave my relaxers on that long. Once I put the relaxer on, I immediately go and wash it out. So most of my hair is kind of like this puffy hair and then um, I would say, maybe towards the ends is where it got straight. So I guess those were like the bone straight is and then the rest was kind of like my relaxed ends, but then I also have like straighten in between the relaxed ends. So that's what was making my nape break off. So the back of my hair, the texture, is more coarse and I'm pretty sure the curl pattern is more tighter in the back than in the front, so the front pieces that have it. It'S not that bad. It doesn't really make a difference in the back when it does that the hair is all crunchy and just the line of demarcation instantly the hair will start breaking and popping off. I just kind of wanted to show you guys an example of how the hair is like puffy and then it goes thin. I did start to chop off some of my hair some of those pieces, and then I also wanted to show you guys how some pieces on my hair. That also has that puffiness, it's thick all the way down um, and this happens like in the middle of my head and also in the upper areas of my head. This is where I have like the really thick pieces and then, of course, in the back. That'S where I have my problem, so I did start to, like I said, cut off my hair or whatever, like that and honestly, the trim that I got um. It was honestly because I wanted to cut my hair and then also because I wanted my hair to UM not be ash as longer as the nape as it was, because it was super super long. The Nate was like up to my shoulders and the rest of my hair was like almost too excellent. So that's just a no-no. I wasn't going to keep you know holding on to that and then I wanted to cut my hair anyways. So I just wanted to show you guys, like the super thickness of my hair compared to the name. My name has always been my problem area and I believe it's because my um, the current pattern in the back is tighter and it's just harder for me to get back there. Um and these pictures are such good visuals to everything that I'm telling you guys in this video, so I'll just show you the pieces that I cut off, and I also wanted to show you guys. You know like my ponytail was still really really thick like this. Is how my ponytail looks and my hair? It was still thick, but it was just that Nate area and the only time when you can really tell what that Nate area is when your hair gets really long. Like mine's was almost waist length and then you have those see-through areas, because you don't have the Nate that's coming down on Sunday. I conditioned co washing my hair, and I did that because I wanted my hair to for one. I wanted to be moisturized before I put the relaxer on and then I also wanted to be able to see the under process parts of my hair. It'S hard to see the under process parts of your hair when your hair is straight, so you want to make sure when you're going into this process, that um you have your hair, textured or watch freshly washed, so that you can see where the unprocessed portions are Now, if you do not feel comfortable with doing this, don't I'm telling you go to a professional? Let them do it because this can be really tricky and you can really mess up your hair if you're not aware what you're doing or if you're, not careful, so um, I would say Monday, I might oh, my gosh, my scout was itching so bad and I Tried my hardest not to itch it, but I'm like. Oh my gosh. I feel like it's a mental thing like when my head is itching. I know that I'm about to get a relaxer, so I basically just oiled my scalp because I was like. Maybe this will make the itching cease or calm down some. It did calm down some, but it was still itching. So I did still experience some itching and then I use my base. My sensitive scalp summit base cream and this feels it tingles your scalp. I don't know fish fun meant to like mimic the relaxer when it burns, or I don't know or if it's stimulating your scalp, but this stuff um. It'S like a fresh tingly feeling when you apply this, but I didn't put this on the day before my relaxer and I also put it on the day of my relaxer. So I wanted to make sure my scalp was based really really good, because I happened, and I also wanted to make sure my hair that was already processed, wasn't getting processed. So I put this cream on there to protect my already process ends in um. Any of the portions in between basically the way I fixed my under process hair was, I kind of just pulled out the pieces that were really really puffy and that I did not want to be like that anymore. So it's really back in the nape of my hair and I just took my motions relaxer. I used the mild because it's a mild, a regular and a super, so I usually use regular. But this time I used mild and because um the way I did it was I just I wanted to do it all in one day, so I parted my hair in four sections and I kind of started off by relaxing how I usually do. I started to apply the relaxer and then I would stop midway in that section and I would do the under process portions now I used on my relaxer so that I can work through my hair um diligently. You know fast, but I could also have time to do the processed ends and then I also used a regular. I'M sorry. I also use the Miele because I didn't want the unprocessed parts to you know: process fast, like the regular or the super would so. I said I was just going to get the mild to correct, so I feel, like you, should use a very mild relaxer when you're correcting under process areas and making sure that you're coating the areas that are not getting your the ends of your hair. That are not getting relaxed on them. You should coat them with a base or a vaseline or trolling jelly, whatever you have on hand, make sure that you're basing those parts encoding those parts so that they don't get touched by the relaxer. So, like I said, I just am I relaxed irregular and then once I got halfway into a section, I would do the unprocessed parts. So once I got in the shower, I put a plastic cap on the front portion of my hair because I did the back. First, so I just went ahead and rinsed the back out and neutralized it some and then I moved to the front, took the plastic cap off and neutralized it and um washed it out. So that's how the process went if you guys haven't checked out the video where I said I wasn't getting a relaxer. You should definitely do that. I didn't feel like relaxing that particular month, so I went ahead and stretch for an additional month, which was three months. So during that time I believe that underestimated my new growth and I probably should have left my relaxer on more or a longer time than I did so. I believe that is where some of my under processing came from um and it honestly you could have been before because, like I said, I just apply the rocks and I wash it off, so I really don't time it um. I do know that it's roughly around 20 minutes, but sometimes that may change so to prevent under processing. I will um look at my timer in time my relaxing processing and also my only like I said I only corrected the fact I didn't correct the front or anything because I think I'm going to continue having my hair like the puffy, more textured, texture, so um. I did the back because, like I said it's really rough back there so um, it definitely is, but the process areas they're not like bone straight of course, because none of my hair is going straight. So I did touch up those parts in. I would just wait and see you know what happens and then I'm going to. I may correct some more. I just I'll just have to see my next relaxer. I will not under process um when I'm not doing a relaxer, so I'm not going to correct something and then go back a month later and then relax my roots, I'm just not going to do that. One relax today that that's all I'm going to do so to prevent under processing. You just want to make sure that you're timing, your relaxer, is making sure that you're using the same amount of time every time so that you know that your hair is getting processed. Making sure that you are basing your scalp and I'm also putting a protective oil or cream on the already relaxed ends, so you won't over process and then making sure that you're getting the hair on all of the new growth and, like I said, processing it. The same amount of time also you may want to, like I said, watch the portion that you put on first, you want to watch that first and then do the portion that you put on last watch that last, because your whole head isn't being processed at the Same time, unless you have two people working on your head at the same time or even four, if you do four sections, so it's self relaxing, if your hair is too long or too much or too much nope new growth for you to manage, you want to Make sure that you're letting a professional handle that because um it is such a hassle, I myself I've always self relaxed, but I think I'm going to start letting my mom do it or either going to my best friend for her to do it just somebody else, Because they can see through my head better than I can so I want. I don't want a under processing setback any more, so I am going to make those changes and make those Corrections and um everything will be smoothly. So, as you guys can see, I did cut my hair and it's doing much much better. It feels better. It looks better, so I am very happy and very satisfied with my correction and also just with the whole process. So you also want to make sure you either do a protein treatment before or after this process, because, like I said it's a lot that you're doing to your hair, you want to make sure that your strands stay strong. So I am going to do a protein treatment in two weeks, so I got my relax on Wednesday, so I'm going to do a protein treatment in two weeks so that I can make sure my strands are strong and that they're not breaking off or brittle or Anything so you actually do want to follow up. I think, following up with the protein treatment is what's best because um, when you put the relaxer on your hair, it's weakening your strands, so you want to make it strong by putting and your protein treatment. So if you have any questions, look down the description box. If it's not, there then comment down below and I'll be sure to answer. All of them. Look for any related videos or suggested videos up in the information tab, and I will talk to you all in my next video bye. You

GENIE: My hair is currently exactly like this as well! I accidently underprocessed a few times and it's caused so much problems. So I've started to transition back to the way I used to relax my hair and gradually cut off the major underprocessed parts. Glad you done this video!

brezzey030398: This is literally my hair and I’ve noticed that I’m shedding and breaking as well. Thanks for the advice on how to correct it . I found a stylist in my area that offers a restorative relaxing service and I’m definitely going to her .

EmrldTeddy007: I texlax, too. I find that using a Mild lye relaxer works best! Gives me more time to thoroughly apply the relaxer and smooth it without having to rush in fear of my scalp starting to burn. This has drastically reduced having areas that are under processed. My results have been great!

Devonia Drummond: Hey love. Thanks for this video. I want to know if the amount of breakage/shedding you had was reduced after you corrected your relaxer? I'm currently under processed due to a seven month stretch and I'm literally hansel and gretel leaving traces of strands everywhere I go - washroom, clothes, sofa etc. I'm really curious as to whether or not this would help with the amount of hair I'm losing. Thank you.

Steph B.: Super helpful! I am going through the same problem as well so I'll definitely be trying this method out. Thanks Brianna :)

Mazzabella07: This video is right on time for me! Also experiencing this problem currently and going to have to cut about 2-4 inches this weekend to make everything even because I have suffered breakage at the crown. Debating whether to go back to fully relaxed rather than stay texlaxed.

Jessica: Hi, same thing happened to my hair and I've lost so much hair! I'm now trying to get my hair back to life! It's going to be a long process but hopefully my hair can be healthy again ☺☺. Thanks for the video!

Rukayat Ibrahim: Thanks for this video. I transitioned to relaxed hair in May and I discovered the frontal part of my hair isn't as processed as the back. I relaxed for the second time recently and realized that some areas are badly underprocessed . Please can I use a different relaxer (from the one I normally use) as long as it's mild? Also, how long should I wait before touching up the underprocessed areas? Thank you!

Niseygirl Love: So glad you did this video. I am about to self correct as well. I am intentionally texlaxed, but I want to have a looser curl/wave vs what I have now. So my plan is to texlax on my normal texlax day, and then 5 minutes before I am done, I am going to smooth down the entire length of my hair (with the ends covered in oil). I use ORS Lye normal and that always makes my hair texlaxed. My hair is very resistant to relaxers and the only thing that makes it bone straight, is Super and using the back of a comb to smooth. So I am not worried about becoming bone straight. My back half is tighter than my front too.

Sher Mac: Glad you managed to find the Motions Relaxer in mild as I'd recommended. I've found out months ago here in U.K. and I thought it must be in US as well. You did well in the correction process..tfs

Damaris Sambo: I did it some years ago and it led to a major setback. after having it done everything seemed alright until it started breaking off some months after the correction. sometimes the relaxer is stronger than we thought I realized. I wouldn't recommend it but be careful with it. good luck

Gabriella Pentecost: How long did you wait to do corrective relaxer?

Rodeline Estime: Hi Brianna, thank you for this video. It was the only one I could find on this topic that was helpful, however I wish you had some clips to show "how to". I textlaxed the other day and one side was processed the other not so much. I ran out of product. Could you please advise me on how I to correct this? Should I redo the under processed side all over?

Gaysha Dior: i thought i was the only one with this problem

Forever Blessed: this is a very common problem with most people who texlax. it's almost impossible to avoid underprocessed hair when you texlax. that's exactly how my hair used to be when I was texlaxing. I'm currently transitioning to natural.

Nya Simms: My hair is currently like this I was going to redo a relaxer something like a virgin one when I spoke to my stylist.. because I've been doing relaxers myself like twice a year. So I'm waiting for April to relax. But it's scary because I don't want it to break which it is easier to do as you said..

HairObsess Club: That happen to me last Sunday. I recorded it. now I am so damn confused. I will wait 8 weeks before I try it again. I thought I could do it myself at home. I was my first time did not work out as I expected. Thanks for this video.

The Pieretti's: Thank you thank you my hair is the same way I have been having a lot of breakage because I'm not really relaxed I will be doing this very soon

sa_ni: I'm texlaxed and i had underprosses area on top of my head... So i learn that every time I relax i should start put the relaxer where the texture is more coil and curly...after few times relaxing doing that my texlaxed hair looks now more even... And my underprosses peace is down enough to be cut

Latoya Rose: My hair looks just like this. I'm considering doing the corrective relaxer myself instead of going to a salon

Linda Bishop: I under processed my hair last night. I think I will wait a month to correct it. I texlax and I don't want to run the risk of damaging my hair. I will just not manipulate my hair too much until then.

Corine W: I have some underprocessed areas from my relaxer just 4 weeks ago. It's not as wavy as yours, it more so just feels puffier. And it's all in the middle of my head. I'm wondering if this is concern for correcting or should I just leave it?

Kuroe-Chan: I did that but luckily half my hair is gone anyway…first relaxer I. 5 years. I was curious how my hair would take. I pretty much have no growth in top and middle only area that grows is back and that stopped too. Long story short I have cyclic hair fall really bad but I don’t know if my hair is gonna come back this time ….Only 35 but I’m so tired of this struggle

Belle Espirit: I am so glad I'm not the only one who does this lol I have a finer texture of hair so leaving my relaxer on any longer than a few minutes makes my hair TOO straight. So I start in the middle, work my way out. The middle is the thickest part for me and the perimeter is the finest, so by the time i get my perimeter done I go straight to the shower or sink to wash it all out. I dont exactly want my hair bone straight but I guess the point is just to loosen up your curl pattern. If you time it right or just plain know how your hair acts, you know how long you can leave it on, and how itll look after you blow dry and straighten it. I air dry when I can, sometimes I even wash twice in the same day to volumize my hair again because leave in conditioners leave this heavy residue on. So Ill wash deep condition, rinse, wash and condition again before letting it air dry. I think women do the most damage to our hair when we dont consider the styling were going to do after the act. So leaving your relaxer on to the point your hair is straight even when its wet is only doubling the damage, when you know youre going to blow it out and put an iron to it. Thats just my opinion I realize not everyone has the same texture, or can use the same products too. In general though I do think not leaving your relaxers on until your hair is bone straight is just a good idea.

Ajade EnCorps: Her hair is gorgeous!

peju O: How long do you keep the relaxer on?

Altruria Jones: Omg so this is where all my problems came in. It seemed like Everytime I got a perm it looked like that like it hadn't finished. And I had problems with tangles and everything when before perm my hair was straight and not damaged

Tamara Crawford: Hi did u ever relax an under process area of your hair and it wasn't processed properly so u had to do the same part again?

Alwaz Qureshi: Thanks for uploading this video , this is very helpful

Quinne'y Albert: It’s weird because I love my under processed hair it helps me maintain thickness and relax my curl pattern. I only leave it in for seven minutes I deep condition it and coconut oil treatments

Mari Jaco: Wait so you washed your hair to see the underprocessed places? Does that burn? Was your hair wet ?

Sarah Sameh: Hey beautiful so I just relaxed my hair yesterday and it was under processed how long should I wait before I can relax it again to fix the underprocessed parts

Dacia’s DIY: I actually prefer that over really bine straight relaxer

Nanette Davis: Using the LOC methods will make hair puffy. Its the moisturizers making it under processed in my opinion. Thanks.

sisigst: How long did you wait to do corrective relaxer?

Fay Smith: To stop itch I get a few drops of yes tree oil with few drops of sweet almond oil rub in my palm then massage it in my scalp

NuNu Huda: You should have more subscribers omg love your channel ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️

Salome Kalu: Ok...so I'm new to the whole relaxed hair world and I'm just wondered how an underprocessed hair is an issue, can't you just put relaxer on it again? Please help a sister out

Amara Uzo: Hi :( my hair got relaxed and everywhere is straight but my ends and I’m super sad and idk what to do can you please help me :(

Finding My way: I never knew hair could be under processed but what's funny I been natural for two years and was thinking about relaxing but I was thinking could I just relax my roots and not all the hair lol

Stephanie Curry: Olaplex needed to add to relaxer cream when you process. You have a ton of hair and slot of people self relax and show up at the salon.

K West: Aaaaah thank you for uploading this!

Gold_ Yaba Esther: New subbie My hair broke down and went to natural but I think am coming back to texlaxed This time I want a proper regime for my hair

Kya Thomas: How bout the relaxer not straightening hair all the way ???

Renee Lynelle: These videos would be more efficient if you would just get to the point and not spend so much time lagging.

C0KEY IS GIVING WALUIGI: YOUR EYES ARE SO BEAUTIFUL

Jessica: I have under processed hair at the ends. Everywhere else is find but that. Should I relax the ends of my hair again?

Shdonna Bolden: So i can not stop putting in relaxers in my hair if i do it will start falling out

Desiree Lynn: Info starts at 10:10 .....sheesh

Tasha Williams: Wished you showed what you did instead of just talking.

Tamara Crawford: when I ask I mean to the ends that didn't take the relaxer

Kenya D Hardrick: Did you redo your hair the same day,

Nadia: I kinda like the under processed look it giving me kinky straight/course yaki bundle vibe.

Kedeshia P: I bc due to that same reason...i didnt like how it looked.

Poipi: Shit im hispanic, and my hair was soft a wavy, i died it (was a stupid 12 year old) and my shit got fucked up it was stiff and was not shiny no more, it lookes like wire, it didnt fall if i got upside down on my head, it got mid frizzy, whent to skool and everybody kept saying if i was part black or some random shit, what happened to my hair, i just kep saying i died it and it fucked up, but now each time i shower it goes back to how i used to have it somewhat siny and wavy, but when it dries it just gets so puffy not curly puffy just straight puffu. My hair has a mind of its own( i used to be all naturally curly but my grandma cut my hair, and that ended up giving me curly/straight hair, so now its curly on the top yet frizzy at the same time and straight at the ends, please help

Champion Red Sox: guys i relaxed my hair and its not straight may i know why?

Maddie Brown: Underprocess does it mea that the hair is not really relaxed or is it because it has been relaxed Many times

incognito: I don't have the patience for this. 7 mins in and you're just repeating the same thing

Brenda Mcpherson: Sorry.... But, THIS sounds Soooo CONFUSING, You might wanna try getting to the point...QUICKER!!

Fay Smith: (TEA)

gbritaney: Just letting you know someone stole your video. Some random channel. https://youtu.be/OCohxq0NSpo

J. Sheila: To the point, please.
