Hi., I'm Elaine Welteroth beauty and style editor with EBONY Magazine., We're here today in Chicago to do a salon takeover at the gorgeous Van Cleef Salon.. I have found a lovely young lady who's, going to let us style her hair using all Pantene products.. Let'S go inside and get them started. Hey. We're here with salon owner Ronnie and our lovely volunteer, [, Coku. ], So Ronnie. What [ Coku ] is looking for today is a really modern, edgy sort of funky. Look using her natural texture --, something easy. She can maintain at home. Sure.. First of all, she's got great hair to work with -- She does. --, so that should make my job very easy., So with Pantene's moisturizing line, I think we can come up with a great look for her --, something she can do at home., Awesome. You're, going To look so great., I can't wait to see you when you're all done. [, Coku's, ] hair, is very thick and dense with a medium curly texture. Because of color damage. Her hair was very dry. To infuse her new look with moisture and a healthy shine. I use the Pantene Pro-V Relaxed and Natural Three Step System.. First, we wet [, Coku's, ] hair and applied Pantene Relaxed and Natural Moisturizing Shampoo evenly throughout.. This oil-enriched formula offers superior moisturization, so it's great for cleansing without over-drying. After rinsing out the shampoo. Well, I apply Pantene Relaxed and Natural Moisturizing Conditioner. Since she has thick dense hair. I use an ample amount and worked it through roots to ends.. I allowed it to penetrate for five minutes. After rinsing. Her texture was soft, it smelled great and I was able to detangle without a comb.. Next, we towel-dryed her hair and applied Pantene Relaxed and Natural Daily Oil Cream Moisturizer to set the hair for double-stranded twists. Again, because [ Coku ] has very thick hair. I use an ample amount of product and spread it throughout evenly.. This made her hair very pliable and manageable.. I created double-stranded twists all over to give her a looser texture.. Then I rolled the ends with wave rods and put her under the dryer for 45 minutes.. At home, you can use a hooded dryer for up to an hour, depending on the length and density of your hair., Make sure twists have dried thoroughly to avoid frizz, then unwind. Style to your preference and have fun playing with the dimensions of your well-defined healthy-looking curls.. It looks amazing. It's a fresh new look that she can achieve at home with ease. Wow.
