How To Curl Hair With A Curl Definer & No Heat! - Matt Healy Inspired Hairstyle

Hey guys!

Today I'm bringing you some Matt Healy realness! Ages ago I did a hair tutorial about how to curl your hair with no heat and it was a success!

This time around I've been fortunate enough to be given a Curl Definer (a hair product that helps your curls look amazing!) from bhave that has taken my hair type to a whole new level!

I've said it once and I'll say it 1938420483944 times more, but bhave is my favourite haircare brand and I'm freaking obsessed with this new curl definer of theirs.

BTW if you guys want to try this hair curling technique with their curl defining creme you can get free shipping on it by using my free shipping code THOMASFREESHIP. ALSO just FYI I don't make money on this, this is because I truly believe their products are amazing.

I hope you all have a happy day and happy hair curling!!!!

Love you!

Everybody and welcome back to my channel. My name is Thomas. If you are brand new here on my channel, I promote authenticity, diversity and a fuckload of self-expression. So if that sounds like something that you're into then you definitely belong here, and you should press the subscribe button and come back next week for more videos in today's video. The way we're going to be expressing ourselves is through curling, our hair. Now you know what a really really really long time ago, it was probably like two years ago now I did a video about heatless curls, where I curled my hair up into like little tiny, nubs and stuck bobby pins in them. Went to bed woke up the next morning and had these amazing curls right. So I did that video about two years ago that video was a very big success and I actually wanted to recreate it today, because I've actually got a product. Another thing it's going to help make that hairstyle look ten times better now I do have really really curly hair as a rule of thumb. So if you have curly hair as well, you're - probably really going to fly in this video interesting now. The last time I did this, I did it with just a leave-in conditioner. It was ganya leave-in conditioner. My hair products have severely advanced since then, and today I'm going to be using products by behave, so we are going to be using a leaving conditioner for anybody that follows me on a regular basis. You know that I love behave. Products leaving cream is one of my favorite things ever so we will be using that, but also behaving just put out a brand new product called the behave curl defining cream. So it's in a very similar bottle to the leaving cream oMG. But this is the curl defining. So if you have really really really frizzy hair like me, what this does is it's pretty much. It acts like not glue but like almost like a group up, so you put it in your hair and it actually groups all the hairs together and makes them form into really beautiful curls. Now I thought the fact that it does that on its own. Imagine what it could do in the bantu knots like. I just thought this is going to be a recipe for success, so I thought I would come back and revisit doing heatless curls, but this time with a curl definer. So yeah I'm really really excited and I think we should get into it. So what I've done to my hair right now, I've just had a shower. I put a detangling spray in it, so I can like kind of comb it all out yeah and pretty much. What I've got to do is just evenly get these products through my hair and then once I've evenly got the products through my hair, I can start putting them up into bantu knot. Bantu knots pin curls whatever you want to call it. I don't really know I've had so many people call it different things over the time that that video has been out, so you can call it. Where do you want, but I think just to be easy in this video I'm going to call them bantu knots, because that's what I've come to know them as now so yeah? What I do is to evenly get products through my hair, I just literally I look so weird - I literally just comb it from side to side and make it like a middle part. When I comb it out like this, it becomes a lot thinner as you can see, and it's a lot easier to actually get the product into the first product I'm going to be putting in is the behave living cream literally. I don't use that much of this. So I'm probably going to use about that much I'm going to put it on both of my hands like this and evenly spread it out through my hair. Okay. So now I have the leaving cream nicely spread through my hair, it's time to grab the cal definer. The key ingredient in it is jojoba seed oil, sunflower, seed oil mirror mirror seed, butter and carnuba wax I've never heard of cut it. Relax before this offers a fantastic gloss and shine directions are applying a small amount to tail dried or damp hair. Do not comb through use fingers allow to air dry and use or use a diffuser, so diffuser, I'm guessing is like a hairdryer or whatever, okay cool. That sounds pretty awesome. It says it's here to defy friends, so I'm all for that. So what we're going to do is go and put this coat of liner in then we're going to put them into bantu knots. So, oh, oh, my god way to waste product tom. So it's just going to use a bit of this. Probably about that much! I'M just going to rub that exactly the same as I did with the leaving cream. I'M just going to rub that true evenly like this. Oh, it smells so good as well. Yes, honey right, get that kill, define it in there. Thank you, you alrighty! So now I have the curl to find out nice and beautifully in my hair, so nice, and even as well, even after a couple of seconds of looking at this, you can tell the the products trying to like make my hair curl up. This is going to look really really good after we dude semantics else. So the way we do the banter curls is literally, I don't know it depends on how many bobby pins you have. Actually, I've only got about eight, so I'm going to be making fairly thick chunks about this much and what I'm going to do is start twisting them and then roll them up and put the bobby pin in it. So it sits and then I'm going to come back in the morning and see how it looks so, the way you start to see it start to missing it. This way that way, whichever way you want you'll see like you can actually see, there's so much less frizz and there would be usually we'd discard the finer end, and then this is actually the tricky bit. So when you're curling it around you kind of want to like make a little bit of a stump and then around that stump. You want to wrap all the hair that you've just coiled around itself and then once you've got a little nub like this. On top of your head grab your bobby ball, I'm just going to lighten up the picture little bit, see that it's just kind of like a little nub. That'S killed on top of itself and stuck in with a bobby pin, and what I'm going to do is obviously sleep with that in and in the morning when I come out, you just wait. You just wait until the morning, so I'm pretty much going to go and do that to my whole head. I probably will make a little bit thicker than I made this one. I I think it sounds a little bit skinny and I'll come back to you in just a minute: okay, alright! So I'm just standing here for about 10 minutes putting all of these bantu knots in, as you can see, they're all round very tightly to my head, except this one guy. That'S sticking out there. So the idea of this is they will stay like that overnight and hopefully by the morning. Well, actually, not, hopefully, I already do know they're going to work out in the morning they're going to look freaking, sick curls and I'm going to come back and show you like, and if you're wondering about what the is up with my sides. This would be if you're new here, I'm growing my hair out and all these sides have to get to at least 13 inches. So if you are growing your hair out as well, I encourage you to join the journey. Alright I'll see you in the morning when I wake up with these bedroo curls and we'll take them out and we'll see how they look see. You then good, bye, hello and good morning, everybody. So it is been one night sleep since I put these bantu knots in and oh my god, I actually have this last night. I woke up probably about three times yeah and I feel very disturbed and cranky anyway. So what we're going to do now is we're going to take these bantu knots out and have a look at how the curls are finer works along with the bobby pins. So let's do that actually! Well, they feel pretty solid. Pretty excited about this. Actually, to see you know what else I found I found so many freaking gray hairs. While I was doing this, I'm only 24, I'm not even 24. I'M 21 X Lindsay honey, freakin bobby pins that I put in here geez the moment of truth. Well: okay, so because they've been bound up so tight all night, look at how like stuck to my head, they are. I was doing for you a little bit they're, very, very, very, like tight, which this is what we want right, they're, not they should look something like this whoa and literally, what you want to do is unwind them all. Once you don't mind them all properly. You some start to I've got a number-10 in there okay, so this is what we got so far, but you can see it's very, very, very curly, but from here all you have to do is kind of like separate them out because they're all bound together. So much you just want to separate them out to give them their own kind of freedom. Well, it's pretty obvious that this Kell definer has really really helped define these curls. These are absolutely insane, especially compared to the normal hair like what the way my hair dries. Normally with curls, I actually am feeling a really big, Matt Healy vibe right now, like you know, it has just this big mottled curls on his head, so yeah. I feel like I'm really rocking that, but in saying that I wouldn't wear this exact hairstyle out in public. I'D probably have to like I don't know, maybe bun the back up a little bit to make it look a little bit less crazy. It kind of works really well with my undercut growing out as well. I think overall, I think the curls are freaking amazing and I'm really really really really am happy that I've got my hands on that curl definer, because this is just doing one. That'S like it looks, freakin awesome, there's a couple of fuzzies, but I think that's just the way my hair goes so yeah from here. Why don't we yeah I'm going to got a rubber band here, I'm going to try and work it into a map. Healy kind of position to what he usually wears like on stage or in the interviews that he does yeah I'll, be back in two seconds, all right guys. So this is what I have come up with, who I'm actually super impressed with the test out. This is definitely going on my self expression list. I actually love how it works. With my undercut growing out, like you're kind of all, the attention gets taken off these bits that are growing out and it gets put on to these beautiful curls, which I'm actually also super impressed with. Is I like come and have a close look at that? They are just so so that's so defying they're so crazy and to make it more Mac. Healy ish. I kind of tried to look at his interview that he was just doing. I was just watching it on YouTube and I couldn't really work out how he did the back. So I thought you know what I'll do my own version and I just put a bun in the back of it, and I actually think I actually really really freaking like this hairdo, it's so unique and so crazy and it just screamed Thomas. Please let me know what you think of this hairstyle in the comment section below I'll. Give you one more close up. Look because it is really dope. I'M is that Matt here it. No that's Tom Gardner! Sorry! That is pretty much the end of this hairstyle. That'S how you do the bantu knots if you're impressed, please make sure you give this video a thumbs up, because it helps me out a lot and also if you want to try these bantu knots or pin curls with the curl defining from behave this bad boy. I'M super super impressed is the brand new product yeah. If you want to try out the cal defining cream, you can do that by shopping from their online store for Canada, u.s. and Australia. They only have online stores for those three countries at this present point in time. They are working on getting more, but you can also get free shipping on their products to give using my free ship code, which is Thomas free ship, and you could have curls like this so yeah. If you want to try it out, get onto that, please make sure you. Let me know what you think of this in the comment sections below, and I will see you next week for another video. Okay, big love, you
