Hello, everybody, my name, is alicia welcome to my channel. So today i'm going to be doing a little hair tutorial on how i get some so today, i'm going to be doing a hair tutorial on kind of how i do some victoria's secret voluminous roller curls. So i'll show you how i achieved that look um, i'm kind of freaking out right now, because i just found out that all right, so i'm kind of freaking out right now, because i like have to catch my breath. Zoe isabella, kravitz, just reposted. My tech talk on her story and yeah. I just yeah. I don't have words, so i was freaking out about that and then i posted her on my story kind of just like freaking out, because she then i took a screenshot and posted it on my own story, tagging her and then she dm'd me and she said. Oh well, i love it and that made me freak out even more and i just said thank you. I love your work and she said no. I love your work and uh yeah, so i'm kind of just hyperventilating right now. I got myself a glass of water, but let's get on with this tutorial, so let me just show you what i'm going to be using. Also thank you so much to everyone that left suggestions on my last video. I didn't think i would get that many suggestions, but it was really sweet and i love everyone's ideas. I made a list so hopefully i can get through all of the suggestions that you guys commented. I would love to make every single video that you guys are asking for so stay tuned for those. This is the hairstyle that okay, someone just commented on my real, like guys, every single comment, really just it makes me smile. So this is the hairstyle that i did for my senior portraits last week. So let's just actually get started. First, i'm going to brush out my hair and then i'm going to use this is the connor infinity, curling iron. I can't remember if it's an inch or an inch and a half or an inch and three quarters. I stole this from my mother five years ago. This was just a curling hair. We had at home and then, when i moved to la, i needed a curling iron, so i took one as four rollers. I found a whole pack of velcro rollers at rite aid um. I think it came in a pack of 13-ish rollers and then, as for pins, i have tried using these, but my hairs. I just have a lot of hair and it's just too heavy. So i bought these roller clips on amazon and these help a lot. I think they came in a pack of 12., so yeah, okay, so i'm going to take down my hair and i'm just going to brush it out a little bit by the way guys i bought a new camera - i'm not using it, though um, because i still Need to get a charger, so i think i'm gon na do that soon and hopefully i will have some good high quality content from here on out. So i'm going to section my hair off into just two sections really quickly and i usually like to start sectioning right above my ears, just because i'm gon na be putting a roller right into this section right here. So i'm gon na put this up really quickly. It'S just a lot easier to get the bottom half of my hair. Out of the way this pack of rollers came in multiple sizes, but i'm only going to be using the largest size and this smaller size um, i'm going to be using the smaller size on the bottom half of my hair, just because it's a lot heavier and Longer so i think the curlier, the better it'll hold the curl, even though it's being weighed down, i like to start off with the back of my head, just because it gets really hard if you have rollers in the front to work on the back, so we're Gon na start off with the crown, which is this section right back here - i like to open the clamp you don't have to. I just don't want there to be crease which can happen when there is a clamp - and i like to just take the piece of hair and wrap it around the curling iron. This is a pretty big chunk of hair, so i'm going to leave it in for just a little bit longer than normal all right. So once i have that curl out, i kind of like to hold it. Sometimes it gets a little bit too hot to do that see it's really hard when you have long hair. So what i do is bring it forward and then i will take the ruler like this, so i like to hold my hair while i'm rolling it into the roller just because it can fall off the sides and that gets pretty annoying all right. Now i'm going to take this back section right here when it comes to curling the top half of your hair. I like to take my opposite hand over and behind, and then kind of just hold it and wrap it around like that, and it's important to put your hair right into a roller just because you want your hair to cool off into the rollers. That'S the whole point: okay, there we go. I'M gon na take the front section next, just to get it out of the way. So this section, i'm gon na, take right here, just curl it backwards like so all right and if you have layers just kind of collect them and put them into the roller. As you go, i like to put the clip in from the back just so. It'S really secured again definitely make sure that you're curling your hair away from your face. It'S just going to give you like that natural wind in the hair look over your head and then just wrap. So this back piece is kind of falling out just a little bit, so i'm going to take this small pin and just hold it in place. Okay, i just finished the top half and now i'm going to work on the bottom half these ones, i'm just going to roll up inwards. I hear a stylist would probably twist it up this way. Um it doesn't matter. I guess i'll, just do it that way. I never care about the bottom half of my hair. It'S really bad just cause. You never really see the bottom half and twist, i'm just going to take this last side on the same side. So that is how i put my hair up into rollers and we're just gon na let this cool off for about 15 to 20 minutes and then i'll show you guys the process of taking out the rollers and then the end result. Okay, i think it's time to take out my rollers, so i'm just gon na take out all of the clips first we'll just roll these out, and then i like to just run my fingers through the curls once i take them all out. Oh, i just love the volume um and the way that i can just kind of like flip it any way like and it'll just fall like really nicely so just two reminders make sure that you curl your hair and roll it away from your face and then Just make sure that you put your hair into the rollers right after you take it off of the curling iron right, but that is the finished look.
