What'S up you guys welcome or welcome back to my channel welcome back to another video, as you can tell by the title, today's video is going to be all about some different summer, hairstyles that you can do building on kind of a wavy hair. Look, obviously, all of these can be done with straight hair, curly, hair, wavy hair, any type of hair. But i wanted to show you guys how i've been achieving my summer waves that i've been doing because i've been doing these waves lately, and i love it because it's not too, like big and voluminous as kind of like braided waves can be, and so i just Wanted to show you guys my technique, i've been using for the waves and then show you some cute hairstyles that can kind of like spice it up a little bit. So that's what we're going to be doing today. So i hope you guys enjoy this video and without further ado, let's go ahead and get into it. Okay, so for this first hairstyle we're going to do some fun summer waves. Now i love to wave my hair in braids so that i don't have to use heat on it, but i've been doing it this way lately and i've been really liking. How it's been coming out - and i like it - because i don't have to really plan doing my hair in advance. Usually when i do the braids i have to shower the night before and make sure my hair is a little damp. I actually have a whole video on the heatless method of getting waves. That would look similar to these, but this option is good, if maybe you forgot to braid your hair the night before or if you last minute changed your mind and wanted to do this hairstyle. So the first thing i'm gon na do is section off my hair, and i like to do this in like three sections and so first i'm separating like a bottom section and i use a claw clip to grab it all so for these waves, all you need Is a straightener and like a claw, clip to section it, i really do think it's important to section it, because these bottom ones can be a little trickier. So what you do to get these waves - and this always goes kind of wrong on the bottom layer. For me, i don't know why, but the bottom layer of my hair never holds styles as well as the rest, even when i'm curling it, it kind of straightens out faster. So it's important to section it and also to just kind of start down here and really develop your method and then, by the time you get to the top you're going to be a pro at it, and it's going to be so much easier. So what you want to do is have your straightener on and then also grab a section of hair and you're, going to clamp down with your straightener and twist it so that the flat part is coming out. And then you just want to go down a little bit and then twist it the other way and then pull down and then we're gon na do twist it this way pull down the other way. So it's facing, like up down same thing, see how my wrist is moving down and i always hold the end just to have more control, and then you just keep doing this until it's waved the way you want it now, like. I said these first couple ones usually come out a little bit sketchy you might have to redo parts. As you can see, this first part waved a lot and then the rest is not so much, and so you want to kind of mimic where it was folded. So, as you could see right here it folded in and then the rest didn't hold it as well. So you want to kind of mimic the way it folded and then go over again. So let's go ahead and do the whole bottom section and then we'll really perfect the technique with the other sections of hair. So i'm going to go ahead and speed through the waving of this, but just pay attention to the way that the straightener like goes back and forth. Okay, so i just waved the entire bottom section and, as you can see, it's starting to get a little bit wavy and it's going to build really nice with the rest of them too, especially because with waves you're going for kind of like an imperfect look. It'S never going to be like super structured or perfect, which i really like. So now i'm going to split it into the next section, and so i just kind of grab like from right here and then putting it back like this, and then i like to when i pull it forward. I split it in half and i like to keep it separate from the sections i just did and then i'll push these sections back and then put these up so that i know like what's done and what's not so that it doesn't get mixed up. So i just grab another section and then keep going with that same method. When i do this hairstyle with my straightener, i tend to take a lot of breaks too, just because i find my hand like clamping on the straightener so hard and just like with the twists. It tends to hurt a little bit. So i like to take little breaks, but this hairstyle doesn't take me long at all, especially once you start to like get the hang of it. I also think these waves would be so pretty with like a no makeup look or next to the pool or during a beach day, when you want to just kind of look a little bit cute and then again with the technique. It'S just. I go down first and then flip it backwards down. I always start with the down. First, i feel like it just kind of helps, keep them all like the same way. I'M gon na go ahead and speed through this top section, and then you guys will see what it looks like completed. Okay, so now that these waves are done, i want to show you guys some other hairstyles, that we can do to kind of build on them and make them even cuter, so for the second hairstyle. What you're going to want to do is get these jaw clips. These are just the tiny ones, so these are them. These are the ones i use. I just got them at target, so this is super easy and it doesn't need to be perfect at all. Like i said with these waves, we could be super imperfect and it'll still look cute. So what i'm going gon na do is i'm gon na grab like just a little top section right here twist it back just a tiny bit, and then i'm gon na take one of these jaw clips and just pin it up here. So i just get it close to the little curl and there's our first one. Let me go ahead and do the same on the other side, what i'm going to do to make them even cuter is grab the next little section of hair, i'm going to twist. It back kind of over where this one already fell and i'm going to grab another clip and just clip this one in so super simple. So now we have two clips in now. You can either leave it with two or you could do one more. I think three is really cute and it also pulls a lot of hair out of your face, which is good in the summer because it gets hot. So i'm just doing one last section and again just twisting it and keeping it in line with these ones. And there we go with the third. This one is clear because i ran out of the black ones. If you had a new pack, mine are kind of missing because i've had it for so long, but you just want to keep going back and twisting and then pinning them to each other. So, as you can see, this is so cute. They look like those little butterfly clips and honestly this would work with butterfly clips also like if they were the ones that look like butterflies, but it's so cute. It honestly gives like an early 2000s vibe to me or 90s. I get my decades mixed up, but it's just so cute to me and it's keeping the hair out of your face and you can wear it back like this completely or just have like a little bit in front, and it looks so cute with the waves. Okay for this next hairstyle, what we're going to be doing is two little front braids, and i know that sounds simple, but sometimes doing the braids can get a little weird or confusing, and i just wanted to show you guys what they look like with this wavy Hair, and so what we're gon na do is take a little section in the front and split it into three and you wan na make sure these are kind of even it's just a simple braid. If you don't know how to braid. You just split in three sections: one side goes to the middle. You pull the middle to the side. You just replaced left side goes to the middle middle, goes to the one you replaced, and so on now with these it's better to braid straight down, because if you braid out it's going to make the braid kind of fall weird on your head, so you just Want to kind of braid straight down and braid a little bit tight so that it keeps the braid formation and then what i usually do when i do this hairstyle is, i only go about halfway down, and these are like my kind of shorter bang pieces, and I just take a small elastic and then i tie this around so there's one braid super simple and then i'm gon na go ahead and do the other one really quick and then show you guys how it turned out. This is one. That'S just super easy and simple, but it just looks so cute just keep in mind to braid down so that it doesn't come out weird and then also to kind of keep them at the same length and the same like width of the braid. So they're not like uneven okay for this next hairstyle i like to take two rubber bands, and i don't like them to be too thick. What you can do for this one is either go straight back and grab a section or if you want, you can leave like a little front piece out, which is what i'm going to do right now. Just to show you guys how that would look, and you want to just take like from your ear and then go up diagonally. So what we're going to do is just grab this little section and tie it off and i like to make sure it's like up high enough and not too low, because sometimes you can do it a little bit too low and not get like the same effect. That you want so make sure you're doing it at like a size that you like, and then you just want to either tighten it or you can like loosen it and leave it a little bit more. What'S the word, i don't know just messy, i guess, and so that's one side. Let me go ahead and do the other one. This one is great because it's super easy and quick and, like i said it, doesn't need to be perfect at all which helps because, if you're doing this in the summer, you guys know when it starts to get hot and you're trying to do like your hair And you start to get frustrated because it's so hot, so this one, if you're, fine with it being a little bit imperfect, is really good because you just do it really quick. I kept out the front pieces, but it's cute either way. I'Ve done it both ways, and then you just have these two cute little ponytails. Okay for this next hairstyle, you want to use the same two rounds, these little ones, because these ones come in handy um, especially for these wavy hairstyles, where you don't want it to be too tight or perfect. I'M gon na pull out the front pieces of waves for this hairstyle, so split it in half and then leave the two front pieces out, and this one is so simple you guys literally just tie it off into a little pony but think about it. This sounds simple, but when was the last time that you had two little pigtails, i just think they're, so cute and so simple, especially with the waves it just like, adds a little something extra to it. This is perfect for like a beach day, especially when you want to look a little bit cute, but obviously, if it's windy, you don't want the wind to mess it up and get it all crazy. So you could just put your hair in these two little pigtails. One thing that you could do to spice up this hairstyle - if you don't like it by itself, is you can add a little hat. I have this little knitted hat that i had my mom make me, and so i'm just gon na throw it on. So you guys can see how it would look with a little hat. I think it would look so cute with like a little bucket hat or something, and so this is just with my little knitted hat, how it looks you know what i can picture this like riding a bike around town, so i think the hat makes it really Cute and fun and summery one thing you could do if you don't have a bucket hat, because i know i didn't have one for a really long time and that one's not even technically like a bucket hat, you could throw on a regular hat too. So this is how it looks with like a little yankees hat. I think this is so cute together, especially think about going to like a little baseball game during the summer, and you don't want to just do like a normal hairstyle with a hat. This just makes it look so cute and so fun for the summer. Okay, you guys in this last hairstyle is perfect, especially if your waves are starting to fall towards the end of the day. Um. As you can see, i've been messing with mine, a lot so they're starting to get a lot less wavy, and so what you can do, if this starts to happen to you, is throw it up in a little claw clip, but it could still look really cute And intentional this way, so again, i'm just going to leave like the front wavy pieces out. What you want to do is grab the hair and pull it up like you're, going to do a high ponytail, and this could be super messy. You guys, because it'll look cuter if it's messier, i think at least pull up all this hair. What you want to do is kind of like twist it into a little bun. Did you guys see what i did so you have it and then you just grab like this and twist it up grab your claw, clip and then claw it down. This one could take a little bit to kind of get used to and you might need to buy like a different size, clock lip based on your hair. I feel like i didn't explain it. Well, though, so let me try to explain it again. You pull out your front two pieces, pull up your hair like you're gon na, do a ponytail, so i'm holding it like this. Can you guys see one hand, is upside down, one hand is holding the rest, and i'm just twisting i'm twisting so that this little top piece comes up like a little bun and then the rest of it is just hanging down here and then what you want To do is claw clip it so that all the bottom parts are being held, so just a cute little messy bun moment. This is what i would do if i was at like a pool party or the beach and towards the end, my hair's starting to get messy like this just looks so cute. I hope the way that i showed you guys makes sense. If not, i can make like an instagram reel, showing you guys a little bit better, but basically you just want to twist it so that you have this poof at the top or like a little bun and then the rest of the bottoms of the hair. You just want to claw clip it. Okay, you guys, so that's it for this little wavy hair, tutorial, plus extra tutorials. I hope you guys enjoyed it. I know some of the hairstyles are basic, but sometimes you just need ideas during the summer. So i hope if you were kind of struggling like how should i do my hair today, i hope this helped out a little bit or gave you some ideas of some fun summer hairstyles. But with that being said, i hope you guys enjoyed this video and i will see you guys in the next one. You
