Regrets? Fixing My Mistakes*Texturism In Loc Community|Kids Diy Microlocs 4A/4B Hair

Hey welcome to my channel. My name is Tita Nicole and today I am doing an update on my daughter's micro locks today makes one month since I installed them. If you haven't watched the first video she has 4A to 4B. Here she has normal density and yeah. It'S been a month already so in today's video, I'm gon na go over what I learned what I would have done differently. Some changes that I made to right here, the rotation I used and I'm going to ask Natalie some questions about how she feels about her Locs, we'll get a little close up on how her Locs are looking. So if you haven't already, please consider subscribing to my channel like comment and I will chat with y'all down below what I would have done differently. I would park as straight as I can and do all twists, so I can get a better idea and a better look at the parting in general at the Grid in general, just to make sure it's to my liking and two it I feel like it'll, be More of a flow when doing her hair like it'd just be like part and twist and part and twist and part and twisting more of a flow. You know, and then, if I ran out of time I could just you know, put her hair in a ponytail or spread it up or something and go about my day. I didn't have to worry about her hair being half done. You know it could have like easily been put in a style, and I couldn't finish it a different day so doing it. That way would probably take a lot of pressure off and it is easier to correct parting, so Natalie has loose scalp. Like me, I have sort of loose Gap like my scalp moves like in order to get like a straight part. Well, like a lot of people. I see this is kind of. This is very common, like it's a loose scalp at the top. So it's easy to move and even if you think, you're making a straight part, it's not as straight as you think, depending on how evenly you have the hair pulling away from each other. If that makes sense, I'm probably not making a lot of sense. But if you have loose scalp you really. We have to use Clips or some type of pressure of some sort to really take the hair away from each other to kind of see how the parts look or sometimes I notice that that's probably not necessary either. Just depending um it'll have to be so tight and you're better able to see if you have a more straight part because yeah that was a struggle. I don't know like it's best like if her hair is laying like natural, if it's, if it looks straight that way versus like if I'm pulling it. Of course, if I'm pulling it, it's going to look kind of janky, so some changes that I made to Natalie hair - it's just not at least hair yeah. I literally did the whole back of her head well, this is still twist up here, but you see the difference between twist and braids, probably not turn honey bun. So these are braids. Now, like most of these are braids, I would say, 99 of these are braids and twists like a hybrid, not like braids and twists, like literally like it's twist braid. You know it's like start off with twist in this braid um and it is interlocked, of course, but these are not braids and she's able to retain her lip now. These aren't braids yet, and you see how it's more volume see the difference. I don't know but I'll put a side by side, um and so turn honey bun, so yeah she's, due probably for a in like another three weeks to a month or so or maybe three weeks. I don't know I'm just gon na eyeball it and do it as needed. Um she'll most likely get on the regimen, but yeah. When I did the braids. I actually went like two times I looped it. I interlocked it twice not like a full rotation, but I interlocked it twice just to I don't know since I was there since I was redoing the braids anyway, and why not, but yeah yeah and um yeah so turn around honey bun, I'm gon na. Take it out of this, so the top of her head is still twist um. I did not the only thing I've been doing with her top is literally like I said, making them smaller and I look down and you see how they're bigger like what was. I thinking like no like no, no, no, no, some of them are bigger than others, but before I get some noodles, I'm just gon na put her hair like this. For now and I've been saying a lot about what I wish I would have done and stuff like that, but also I'm glad I did her hair small because I like, like each strand, isn't it's not thin? It'S like good. I think I did a good job of choosing her size and, like I said she has normal density here, and so I feel like that would look best on her. I don't feel like when, when it gets more mature, I don't think her. Um ponytails will be like Bunchy. You know, I don't think it'd be too thick or anything like that um and when I was doing the retightening it wasn't too bad. You know something for Chris. If I can estimate if I can estimate how long it would take for me to return her hair, because I really haven't done a re-tie for real for real but like, I think it would probably take me two to three hours, um, so yeah. So I like that, I did it small I like that I didn't do a tight. I I noticed that I could have done it tighter and I did it intentionally. I thought about her comfortability, I'm gon na go ahead and ask Natalie some questions on how she feel about it, and then I'm gon na come back and tell y'all some experiences or interactions I had with people when it came to doing my daughter's hair locks. Some of it is actual people said some of it is just probably what I said or what I presumed so I'm gon na come back after I ask her some questions. I just have a few questions. I wanted to ask you about your locks, my locks yeah. My locks are like your knacks, so you have no question. Okay, Natalie, first question: how do you feel about your locks and let me just say this before you answer: you are entitled to your emotions. You cannot get in trouble for your emotions, your emotions are yours. Yes, you cannot get in trouble for that. I can't get in trouble, so you I would get in trouble. No you won't. It just depends on how you how you being mad is one thing right, but your actions see feelings and actions are different, but sometimes you know, but a lot of time. Listen but a lot of the time stop, but a lot of times a person can show you how they're feeling or what they're thinking about their actions, but also you can feel some type of way and not act on it right, yeah, okay, so anyway, let's stick To it Natalie, how did you feel going to school for the first time with locks? Happy because I was glad, but I don't want to say glad why you don't want to say glad I don't know I was glad it doesn't feel like the word. Okay, all right, so what do you look forward to with your locks? What does that mean like what? What do you want to do with your locks when it gets longer or four, I want to put it in a in a ponytail, so the pony said would be this long. That went right to my tummy, okay, so yeah, that's another reason why I decided to do braids, because now Lee she's been a puff girl, all her life, and I really so love the Puffs. What are you talking about? But she likes the ponytails to hang downwards. So hopefully get to it. Let me see, let me see if we can do it now. Okay, look at that! Shake! Okay! I don't want you get dizzy, wait, wait! Slow down, so you already got ta. Look. You got ta put your child Ellie. You just want the ponytail to like deep down like a horse. You know: okay, okay, can you shake it this way? But okay, I'm good. So you see that she likes her Locs yeah. She actually love her Locs um. I'Ve been up. I went to my sister's volleyball game. She was just and I was recording us and she was like look at me. Look at my box look at my locks, so that was so cute, um and so yeah, but as far as like telling people um well tell them like some people that I'm gon na put Natalie hair locks, I don't think they really believed me for real um Yeah, that's fine and they probably was like yeah yeah, but you know I did take my time. I didn't rush it just up into her hair locks. It'S been on the waiter, it's been on the radar for a minute at first Nelly didn't want blocks, and I understood that. But then, as time went on, she decided she wanted locks um and as far as like reactions beforehand. It'S funny how, after she get in before she get it, how different it is, but for the most part they're like okay and then some people were like why you know kind of like her hair is too good, basically to be a lox like once you do, That to her hair because she has good hair. You know kind of like that Vibe, but then also you know also coming back and saying. Well, you know what like hers would look good a lot because her hair curly, you know what I mean like an emphasis on like hers and her hair curly. That'S really! You know what I mean. People think they have looser texture hair. They have these curls, which are pretty you know, um, very pretty, hair um, just like horsey hair, any other texture, hair um, but for some reason some people feel like that's Superior when it comes to like locks and micro locks. Like, oh, you know it's like that's the you know like I really. Why would you do that to her hair right, but if she gon na get it she's gon na she's gon na? Do it the best like you can't wait like you, can't it's like what it's okay, but the truth is her curls do look pretty with locks and I'm not taking it away from anybody, anybody with curls or who doesn't it doesn't matter if you have curls or Not uh, but that is true. Her curls do look pretty. That doesn't mean she has good hair or it's better. You know what I mean. It doesn't mean so yeah she's, my child, and I'm saying that, like my child is pretty hair, so yeah she has a good hair. If that means she has healthy hair and her curls are pretty locked, locked or not locked, and I mean if you thought the lock Community was escaping this texturism. It'S not it's still very much so in the law Community as well and so yeah, but to go back to um, and that reminded me it was something I wanted to say. I was going to a consultation for my micro locks for my sister locks on my collects and the lady was like. You have really good hair, and I guess that lady sitting across from me or somewhere around looked at her looked up. I don't know I was really paying attention, but I had seen from my peripheral and she's like good hair, for lock, good hair for locking you know. Good hair for locking I'm like y'all are crazy. You know I didn't go to her, but I'm just like yeah like what, but anyway so I guess to stay on topic of what I was saying, which was so people in general before me doing her hair. They were like you're doing her hair in locks, but then, after the fact when I did it, oh my gosh, everybody was like oh my gosh and I'm just like yeah. It is yeah, it is pretty fonts from her hair. Being locked was very supportive. Very you know I was complimenting um. They really love her hair. They really love her hair. I don't know. I just thought it was interesting, so I thought I'd share it by the way. I am sick. If you can't tell already so just excuse my congestion yeah. I'M gon na try to get a better close up on Ellie's hair, one last time, honey that girl moves Natalie moves too much. She moves in her sleep, it don't even matter, people might say, do her hair to sleep during she moves in her sleep when she's still she's talking. She talks like this look downward and be still so, as you can see like this is her middle part, but I've, let me see so I went over this one and I redid them see. As you can see, these are smaller. These are smaller now compared to Nellie, be still these are smaller. Compared to these, you see how more big these are, and that's fine too, I just didn't, want her hair to be smaller in the back, but big like this in the front. I just didn't want that and yeah, so I made them smaller up up here and so that's why I have to work. Okay, I have to work on okay, I'm not going to spend more of those things. I don't want her to say that this is all twisties in the front.
