Hi guys welcome to my channel today, I'm gon na be showing you how I flatiron my relaxed hair. So I washed my hair. I air dried it overnight and now it's time to straighten it. What, instead of using a blow dryer what I love to use, is this heating tool. It is a brush, but at the same time it straightens your hair. I actually did a full review on it and I'll go ahead and make sure to link that video. For you guys, so you can get the full review and how I used it, and you know kind of I compare two different sides of my hair anyways I'll link that video, but instead of blow-drying I like to use this brush. I find that it's a lot faster, it's easier to use and it's just isn't it works. It gets the job done so I like using it before I start using that brush. I make sure to divide my hair into decent sized chunks. I feel that when you divide your hair into chunks, it's just so much easier to deal with your hair and then I'll go ahead and I use a heat protectant. You definitely want to make sure that you are using good heat protectant to protect your hair, especially if you're relaxed you want to make sure to use a heat protectant to you. You know not further damage your hair already using heat, we're already relaxing. So our hair is dealing with a lot of stress and we just want to make sure to protect it. So I'll go through section by section applying the heat protectant and then I detangle it with a wide comb. I just want to say I know my hair is relaxed and then now I'm putting heat on it. I actually really don't like straightening my hair and why I'm straightening is because it's one of the steps that I like to do before I relax my hair and since I'm due for a relaxer, I like to straighten my hair, because I find that, after a couple Of weeks of wearing my hair straight, it makes it easier to relax my hair essentially, and I also am able to because I'm relaxing at home, I'm able to see where the new growth really is. Because if my hair is all you know, natural in the sense that it's all curly or is all wavy or whatever natural texture, you have after relax it's kind of hard to see the new growth apart from your already relaxed hair. But I find that when I straighten my hair and I wear that hair straighten for a couple of weeks, I can kind of see where the new growth is, because the scalp area and the hair closest to the roots gets they'll, sweat it on from working out. It gets oily and it's just kind of like you - can really see where you have the new growth and where the hair is straight, and I kind of use that as guidance to not over relax the parts that I've already relaxed. I hope that makes sense, but I'm gon na be recording a video where I actually show you what I just explained so stay tuned for that after i detangled all of the hair, and I applied my heat protectant now we'll go through section by section and I, Like to use this brush, this brush is honestly. It is so quick, it's so effective and it's so easy to use like it's. I don't know. If that's you know, I don't know if you have an easy time using a blow dryer and then a brush, but I find that it's just I don't know, I'm just not good with it. It takes me forever, but this brush and get the blow-dried results without having blow-dried and literally doing this whole process took me like 15 to 20 minutes. So for the actual straightening part, what I love to use is this brush. I find that it grips the hair and it separates the hair so that when you're straightening you get every strand and you get that nice silky look. I try to make sure to only run the Flatiron through my hair. Only once and every time I relax, I make sure to trim my ends.
