3 Hairstyles | Thin Hair

Hey everyone,

So many have asked for tutorials since seeing my oldest daughter in my instagram stories. I'm doing it in true Mom fashion; pjs, early morning, phone distraction, interruptions by both my boys, lots of editing, and hair parts that aren't perfect. Enjoy!

If you want some fun and creative little girl hairstyles check out my sister's channel! She has 3 girls and knows how to do it all!

Hey guys, it's jess from marks and motherhood, and today i'm going to show you three hairstyles that we use the most on my little girl. This is the last one that we did that'll be at the end of the video. So just stick around and take a look. The first one i'm going to show you that we do is a braided like pigtail bun, i guess is what you can call it. So i just put a little bit of gel in my fingers, rub it in and then kind of spread it around in the area that i'm going to be braiding her hair in so i have a tiny little like one inch part here in the front that You will put in the three sections for a braid and then you just build in taking pieces from the side. There'S demos on braids, so i'm not gon na go into the whole little over under process that much and now i'm just gon na speed it up. For you guys now, i only do it to the back of her head here as far as the braiding goes and then to her ear right here. So i'll grab this last section and then i just braided out a few strands so that i can work it into the bun. I use my fingers. You can brush it out too and grab another rubber band and do the button part. So i usually wrap it around once or twice depends how thick your little one's hair is and then the last time i just don't pull it through all the way leave a little bit of a tail, and that is the side bun. So i'll do the other side really quick and i'll just show you guys how it looks after, but it's the same process on both sides now quickly. Before i put this side into a bun, i'm going to show you guys another way that i've also done it. I'M not going to have any of my rubber bands nothing today, but i will sometimes instead of putting it up into a pigtail bun. I just do the braided part into a bun, so the same thing you'll wrap it around one or two times pull it through. Not quite all the way you have quite a bit left and then you have that kind of a look, so you can either have her hair down and braid it on the sides or up in a pigtail. These next two have about the same parting line. So i do one middle section in her hair and go all the way back to the back of her head, pretty much making it as straight as you can, and then i take a rubber band just to keep it out of the way. Because that's my middle section, then this one's a lot easier because all you do is follow where you stopped with this one which i'm a little off and then that's a section and since the sides are away from each other, i just rubber band the back part. The first way that i do these three sides is just a braid like i did with the other side, so i'm just gon na speed through this again, all right now, there's a few different ways. I can do this now that it's braided and i've gone all the way to the back. The first that i'll show you, because it's easier before i do it is. I will just pull it through and you can make it a tiny little bun twist it around and make it work in that sense and just kind of bobby pin it around the other option, which is what i do the most often is pull it through. So i'll stick it into one of the braided parts with this little contraption pull it through and then it just doesn't stick up funny and it stays longer and she'll keep this hairstyle in for a couple of days, all right now, the nice thing about this hairstyle, Like i said, is it'll stay in her hair for two or three days and be totally fine, and i don't overdo it with hairspray or anything like that. The only thing is sometimes i will, if it needs to um, just take this out and re, attach a new rubber band and it works pretty effectively. So this is the last little section i have here that i will just pull through for you guys and there you go so that is that hairstyle. It'S really easy, like i said it lasts a couple days, so it makes it nice all right now to make the next one just easier to show i'm going to keep it parted, as is because i part it the same way, and this one is the quickest One for sure, but i just do a small section in the front like i've been doing, and basically i do three sections. So i'm going to give a little bit more to this side, because i noticed it looked a little uneven same with this side. Just because i'm going to keep this hairstyle in her hair, so just straightening it out then i'll divide the last part of this into two sections and then the only thing that's different with the sides is that i'm going to do the two sections on the side, But then this middle piece you divide into, and you hook it in with the third section on each side which you'll see as i do it all right so, like i said i take half of the center and one and i'll just come out the third one. I don't do a rubber band for the third one and then taking this part, so you kind of have three sections coming in. You have the second one. You have what would have been the third one, rubber band off and then the middle from the second one, and you can either just rubber band it off and just like the braids that i mentioned. If i do it this way with the bun, the only thing i have to replace every day is this one that holds it into a bun, but that's normally how we like to do it alright guys, so that is the last one this one's her favorite, like I said just because it's really quick and easy, but it's fun and cute, and each day i mean this will last up to three days. I will just replace these if i need to um each morning and it makes it really fast. So if you guys have any other questions, just comment down below i'll link, our other hair videos in the description box - and i will see you guys next time, thanks for watching
