Hi beauties and happy monday, um first things first is: i did want to make an announcement via youtube. I had already posted something on instagram, but i will be now posting every other monday at two o'clock. Since i am back at work full force, it has been kind of crazy, so i'm just trying to balance all of it and still continue to make these videos. So, thank you all so much for your support during that crazy quarantine and we're crying and hoping that it stays this way. Okay, so i wanted to do a type of curling technique, which is awesome for fine hair, it's great for thick hair as well, but if a client comes and sits in my chair and she has super fine hair - and she says i struggle with curling my hair - It never holds. This is the method i use just because it will hold for them all day. So, first things: first, i'm going to prep my hair with a heat protectant. I will be using a defy damage cream by joyco so because my hair is dry, i'm just going to use a tiny little bit and i will rub my hands together and just put that through my ends and put that through the top. And it also smells really good. So if your hair is a little dirty, it's like the best for that. Next, i'm just going to use a little bit of dry shampoo. My hair is not super dirty yet so i'm going to use one of the lighter dry shampoos. My favorite is the unite clear, dry shampoo, i'm just going to spray that at my roots and just divide your hair in sections, because you are using a smaller iron. It'S best to have more control by sectioning your hair, so i'm going to start with this small little section, underneath the iron i'm going to use today is my half size barrel iron by hot tools. If you have fine hair, the best advice i can give you is go on a smaller barrel iron. They will hold so much better. If the barrel is smaller. If you're using a huge iron on thin hair, it tends to just completely fall out. So i'm going to do this a few times slow just so i can kind of go over this technique, so i'll start out with this first little piece in the front and the way i do this is i open my barrel and i don't just shut it On the hair, because that will cause a big pink in the hair, so what i do is i start to turn the iron before i clamp down. That'S gon na help create not create that big kink in the hair, so i'm gon na curl and i'm going to clamp it down. I'M going to curl up unravel, go down a little bit, curl up, unravel and pull the ends through. So the end should be straight and you should be left with just this bouncy little wave you're going to let it go. Do not brush your waves until it is completely cooled or that will just pull the curl out completely. So i'm going to do it. A few more times we're going to go down, clamp, twirl up screw down, twirl up, unravel, go down; twirl up, unravel, go down, twirl up and unravel and pull the ends through your hair's shorter. It'S really going to be quick for you to be down up, unravel and pull your ends out versus doing it down up, unravel down up unravel you'd, never want to take a section, that's bigger than the barrel of your iron, so make sure that you are taking Only half inch sections go down: twirl up unravel, go down, twirl up, unravel down twirl up unravel. So i am finished this side, and this is how it should look, and now i'm going to switch over to this side. It does not matter where you clamp. The first clamp on the hair, the higher you go up, the higher the curl will be. So that's really up to you if you're looking for something that's more natural and kind of towards the bottom, just start lower on the hair strand, if you're looking for something all the way up at the root, which i will probably focus more at the top, you Can go all the way up. You might just have to do a few more unravels and since i'm on the piece that is near my face, i'm going to go away from my face, so the clamp will be facing in front unravel, go down, go up, unravel boolean. So so my first section is done: i'm just going to let these cool and i'm going to hit it with a little bit of lightweight hairspray, i'm going to be using my outer space hairspray by rnco, it's date night tonight. So i figured i'd hop on quick and show how i'm styling my hair - and i don't know where we're going, but i'm excited, i hope, there's good food unravel go down, go up, unravel, go down, go up, unravel and cool, not every curl has to be perfect And not every curl is going to look like each other. That'S what makes it super pretty and beachy because they look very natural, so don't get discouraged if one curl comes out better than the other. We can fix that up at the end with a super easy technique, so just stay tuned and you will see so because my hair has been up in a bun all day. I'M getting a lot of bumps up here. So the best quick, easy way to fix that without having to get straightener out is just use. This, like a straightener and you're, just gon na kind of go back and forth on that and i'll open it and just kind of go up near the root and just smooth it out now, with these sections, i'm going to try and go a little further up. Just to get a little bit more curl towards the top again, that is totally up to you. You do not have to do that. You can just keep it lower and keep the top straighter for these little pieces around your face. I would recommend going down in heat so that you do not break them off around your hairline and around your neckline are the most fragile parts of your body on your body, most fragile part of your hair. So i would definitely always take care of those areas by putting extra heat protectant on them and also turning down your hot tools when you are straightening or curling those areas, and again this is great. If you have fine hair, this will definitely hold for you. We are on our last little section here and i am focusing more so up at the root to give it some lift. Hey me, okay, so we are done curling and i haven't brushed anything out. Yet. I'M gon na hit my hair one more time with the hairspray and i'm just waiting for them to cool these are so fun and very mermaid like and then, if you want any more up near the root, a little trick you can do is just use it. Like a wand and leave those ends out and to help with any phrase, i'm going to use this joy codify damage cream again, this will just help kind of seal everything down as i brush through and if you want a little texture up at the top, you Can use any texture spray or even a dry shampoo, i'm gon na use my texture spray by unite and then just to add a little bit more volume, i'm just going to back comb it a little bit near the crown and you've got these gorgeous mermaid waves. They almost look crimpy, like you, just slept in a braid all night, but this is definitely how to achieve it and give it a lot of volume and also help frizz. Thank you guys so much for tuning. In today i always have so much fun doing hair with you, don't forget to subscribe and hit that bell that that will help. You know when i post my latest video, which is now every other monday at two o'clock. I will be posting all of the products. I used and my iron down in the description box. So if you'd like to check that out, thank you guys so much and have a wonderful week. Bye! You
